Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings Thurday Games 9/11/14 College Football is in full swing and we've got you covered with picks coming throughout the week and weekend. If you have real time questions make sure to hit up @cascarruthers on Twitter for lineup help. Our week one NFL picks are live. And don’t forget to get access to our NFL projections. It’s a free 3-day trial for all of your Sunday DFS needs. Quarterbacks Taysom Hill - FD 10500 DK 10300 People say the only two things guaranteed in life are death and taxes. I say the only two things guaranteed in fantasy land are Taysom and Hill. Taysom runs over and around defenses with consistency most only dream about. Hill passes with efficiency and just enough to keep defenses honest. This guy is the best thing since the invention of Yoga pants. Super duper safe with an unbelievably high ceiling. Few defenses have what it takes to stop him and Houston is no different. He should be a fairly heavy start and I don't recommend going against the grain too much. Hill absolutely crushed it last year at Houston. Now they play on his home turf.   Running Backs Kareem Hunt - FD 9000 DK 9900 Hunt is a potential NFL talent as evidenced by his three TD performance against Mizzu last week. Toledo has a history of using their tailback as a fantasy god and it looks like Kareem has the talent to maximize the opportunities. Averaging 10YPC against Mizzu typically doesnt happen by accident. On the road for the first time and a short week are two things going against Hunt. You don't want to be the third. HIs price is high and I wouldn't blame you to look else where, but he's the closest to a sure thing. On a short night it may make sense to pony up for the "expected" stat line. Hosey Williams - FD 4900 DK 4800 This is Cincinnati's first game so its hard to get any kind of read how their offense will look in 2014. Williams is the starter (returning) and at this price its hard to pass on the volume with such a short night. The Bearcats return multiple starters on offense so they should be ready to roll in their home opener. He may not be the best back on the board, but Williams represents strong value and frees up $$$ to be allocated else where.   Wide Receivers KD Cannon - FD 7500 DK 6400 Are you serious? Week one I mentioned how quickly the college landscape can change and guys seemingly come out of nowhere. KD please stand up. Baylor has...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings Saturday Early Games 9/6/14

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings Saturday Early Games 9/6/14 It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Baseball heads towards the playoffs. The NFL is on its way. And college football is just getting started. We’ve got you covered all the way around here at DFSR. Our week one NFL picks are live. And don’t forget to get access to our NFL projections. It’s a free 3-day trial for all of your Sunday DFS needs. Quarterbacks Dak Prescott - FD 9900 DK 9000 My man crush continues to grow by the week. What's not to love about this guy? He's the focal point of a high-octane offense and we love quarterbacks that run because their floor is so high. Dak showed why he's such a fantasy dreamboat last week and with another PeeWee Team on the docket you can safely expect a successful Dak Attack. I'm running Dak on both sites, but more so on FD because the way I see it – money is easy on FD this week. P.J. Walker - DK 5300 We gave you Walker last week and he gladly obliged with 3 total touchdowns, on the road. I see another positive day where Walker runs and passes for multiple TD's and helps lead your team to Cashland (the place I reside). Navy is not exactly a cream puff, evidenced by their tough play last week at OSU, but PJ should still pay the way at this extra tasty DK price . He will be a Cascarruthers heavy start. Travis Wilson - FD 6800 DK 7300 Fresno made USC QB, Cody Kessler, look Joe Montana last week. Now they travel to Utah and Travis Wilson looks to be the next in line to reap the rewards. Fresno actually does have a decent offense despite their 13 point effort last week. Utah has a very good offense when playing defensively challenged teams and they also have trouble stopping teams. This could be a high scoring game and Wilson will be the touching the ball more than anyone else. Jeff Driskel - FD 5900 I’m going back to the well on this one. Last week, Driskel missed his opportunity to showcase his talent and I missed an opportunity to expand my bankroll. There's no way the Gators can have another game cancelled, can they? A slow-paced, controlled offense doesn’t scream fantasy heaven, but Driskel does enough to warrant a play at these prices. Florida will dominate this game and fully expect Driskel to be the epicenter of the destruction. He will score both with his feet and his arm. Saving money on Driskel allows for some better plays at other positions. Consider: - CJ...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings Thursday Games 9/4/14

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings Thursday Games 9/4/14 I want to start this week off with a special thank you to Mother Nature. While she may have given you a beautiful holiday weekend she wreaked havoc on me with the Florida game. It's not often a football game gets cancelled short of a major weather event, but when I proudly run a few Florida players across multiple leagues, you bet the skies open up. What's done is done. Which brings me to my fantasy tip of the day: These things happen, move on. All in all, we finished on the right side of even and hopefully you did too. On to the Thursday-Friday super short slate. Also, our week one NFL picks are live. And don’t forget to get access to our NFL projections. It’s a free 3-day trial for all of your Sunday DFS needs. Quarterbacks Quick note: Halliday is the easy play and will be a heavy start. With only six starting QB's to choose from, we want to do our best to avoid being Captain Obvious and Halliday is just that kind of pick. That being said, he’s obvious for a reason and makes a solid start in every format. Cody Fajardo - FD 9600 DK 7800 Before I tell you how great a guy in the community Cody is ill start with a few football-related things. Last week he went 30/303/1 through the air and 15/68/1 on the ground. He was directly responsible for 60% of their total offensive volume. In comes Washington State and their pass happy, game extending, fantasy awesomeness!. The Wolf Pack will likely be chasing the Cougars all night and you're telling me I can get a guy that will either run or pass it 60% of the time? I’m not saying Cody is as sexy as fellow Nevada alum, Colin Kaepernick, but I am saying he has enough talent to deliver a nice fantasy line. This should be a very high scoring affair with a mid 60’s over/under and dude is just such a focal point of the offense you cant miss.   Running Backs Don Jackson - FD 5300 DK 5800 Out of the remaining 40% of offensive snaps for Nevada, Don accounts for 23%. Its a short night so don't let the QB/RB combo scare you. Did you see what Paul James did to Wash St last week? Lets just say ESPN is still editing the highlights. Don isn't Paul and Jackson isn't James, but approximately 33% of the starting RB's tonight will make your lineup. Go with the volume in the highest expected scoring game of the night. Terris Jones-Grigsby DK 4700 Rich Rod...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings Late Games 8/30/14

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings Late Games 8/30/14 Welcome back to the College Football season. It’s such a great time of year with Saturdays and Sundays fully occupied with football. We’ve got you covered with some of the biggest player pools DFS has to offer. Be sure to check out our picks for Thursday’s CFB slate as well as Saturday afternoon. Also, our first round of NFL projections are live. Get a free 3-day trial to that and baseball. Projections for all your DFS needs. And finally, see below to get a free copy of our ebook on setting Daily Fantasy NFL lineups.   Quarterbacks Jameis Winston - FD 10200 DK 8400 What's not to like? Catchy nickname, dazzling smile, umm, that whole thing that happened last year. Ok, so there might be things not to like. But he helms the preseason number one ranked team. All joking aside this dude is for real. All signs point to Jameis winning the Heisman and being the first overall pick in the NFL draft so my guess is Mr. Winston and FSU don’t want to do anything to mess that up. He lost his best WR in Benjamin, but I don’t think that will slow him down. Probably not a ton of upside at this price, but the numbers he's capable of putting up justify his lofty price tag. Cash game play all the way. Dak Prescott - FD 9600 DK 7700 My man pots and pans. Im all Dak'd up on Dak. Another seemingly out of nowhere stud from last year. Not quite Cam Newton, but Dak is big, strong and fast. He runs and throws with consistency. He is also the center of a famous text between me and fellow shark Doug, "good stay away on Prescott. His mom just died." That’s a true story. What's also true is Dak went off Tecmo style the weekend of his moms passing. I'm not sure his game translates to the NFL, but it certainly translates to superb ROI (Return on Investment). Jeff Driskel - FD 5900 DK 5300 Driskel isn't exactly a fantasy dynamo, but at this price he doesn’t have to be. Florida runs a somewhat controlled offense and doesn’t ask Driskel to do much. The Gators have immense talent in the backfield and very stout D so expectations should be tempered. Still, at $5900 Driskel may pay this price in the first half (before being pulled because its 75-0) Trevor Knight - FD 8400 DK 6600 The enigmatic Trevor Knight. Early comparisons to Johnny Football and unexpectedly winning the starting gig last year put Knight on the map. Only thing is he was downright awful. I...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings Early Games 8/30/14 Welcome back to the College Football season. It’s such a great time of year with Saturdays and Sundays fully occupied with football. We’ve got you covered with some of the biggest player pools DFS has to offer. Be sure to check out our picks for Thursday’s CFB slate as well. Also, we will have full NFL picks coming early next week along with our full NFL projections for all your Sunday DFS needs. And finally, there’s still time to get a free 3-day trial to our baseball projections. On to the picks. Quarterbacks We are going to site-specific for a couple of these postions today. J.T. Barrett - FD 4500 Braxton Miller was a stay away for me anyway, but now he's done for the year. Barrett assumes the starting role for the Buckeyes and for your lineups. I don’t know a damn thing about him (or her for all I know). What I do know is programs like theee Ohio St. are littered with premium athletes and programs like Navy are not. This move has a ripple effect as well. It allows money allocation to other premium positions (see Todd Gurley for example). I only wish he was available on DraftKings. Rakeem Cato - FD 9800 Not available on DraftKings, but my top big money play of the day. If you are choosing to spend on QB instead of Barrett then this is a way to go on FanDuel. Cato is a video game, literally. The stats he puts up on the regular are lip smacking. Five touchdown days are not out of the norm for this cat. He's pricey and I will likely choose to allocate my dollars elsewhere, but if you can fit him in he provides extreme safety. C.J. Brown - DK 6400 This will be CJ's 6th year at College Park, the Crash Davis of college football if you will. Health has been a subject of concern, but there's no denying what this dude brings to the table. Brown rushed for almost 600yds and had 12 rushing TD's in 11 games last season. Really 10 games if you consider the 80 total yard, 63-0, ol fashion ass whoopin, by FSU, where Brown got hurt in the 2nd qtr. CJ struggles against the big boys, but crushes weaker competition. He's the duel threat guy we like to target and has an amazing weapon on the outside in Stefon Diggs. Check this, last year the Terps opened with FIU (that's Florida International for you newbies) and Brown finished with almost 400 total yards and 5 TD's. Maryland hosts JMU (that's James Madison University for you...
