Daily Fantasy Football Picks for Week 8 – FanDuel, DraftKings, Draftday, and Draftster

Posted by on Oct 21, 2014 in featured, Weekly Fantasy Football Picks | 1 comment

Daily Fantasy Football Picks for Week 8 - FanDuel, DraftKings, Draftday, and Draftster A very weird week in the NFL which had me simultaneously rooting for and against Le'Veon Bell on Monday - ultimately cashing 95% of my cash games and 5% of my GPPs. I feel both gross and great, somehow. I'll stop my ruminating. On to the picks! By the way - we're prepared to send you a free eBook on how the pros set both daily fantasy baseball AND football lineups, free of charge! Check out the details, and get your copies now! Don't make another lineup before reading this book! Each contains crucial mistakes your competitors, and maybe you!, are making. We also have a new partner with a dynamite football product over at Draftster. They're a forward thinking player in this space, and we think they're destined to make some huge waves. They also have a couple thousand bucks in freerolls every week, and they're still small enough that you can get in on the ground floor. And for DFSR users, they're prepared to offer you a no-strings attached $5 voucher for one of their games - not to mention their standard 100% bonus up to $200. Click the banner below to get involved! Ready to make the leap and get access to the exclusive projection system that produces these picks? It's the simplest daily fantasy football game in the world, and it might be your best bet to cash in without trying to do a ton of research. Last thing! The week 8 podcast is live. Hope you enjoy it!   Quarterbacks Andrew Luck - FD 9900 DK 8800 DD 16300 DFSTR 9000 An off week for Luck compared to what we've gotten used to, but an off week for the game's best fantasy quarterback still looks like 300+ yards and 2 touch downs. Luck easily has the lowest floor of any QB this side of Peyton Manning, and he also has the transcendent ceiling to go with it. Now he's the Steel Curtain, which has been parted by such fearsome opposing QBs as Brian Hoyer and Mike Glennon this season. I especially like Luck here given the lack of the effectiveness of the Colts' running...

This service is separate from our NFL projection system.   Quarterbacks Justin Thomas - FD 7000 DK 8300 So I’m highlighting Thomas, not because I think he is one of the best plays, but my radar is up that he is getting tons of consideration and will be a popular play. Yes, I will be running Thomas, but only on Fanduel. I’m just not in love with his Draftking’s price given his lack of consistency. Thomas is very, VERY capable of crushing his number and this is one of the best matchups he has seen all year. So the attention is certainly warranted. The Ramblin Wreck runs a version of the option, so their QB is usually in a position to be a fantasy star. The game has an even line with a total of 68. There is enough good going on here that you should feel more than okay using Thomas on Fanduel across all formats. On Draftkings I would be a little hesitant with cash games. Tyrone Swoopes - FD 5700 DK 5300 I’m all in on the Longhorn signal caller and his newly established connection with John Harris. His price is still down in the value range and for good reason. Swoopes has only played five career games and some of them have been ugly. I love his price and I love his matchup even more. Iowa State has been getting torched by QB’s lately and nothing should change this week. Even more enticing is the fact Tyrone is starting to do more with his feet. He has double digit carries...

Sleepers – Daily Fantasy Football Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings, DraftDay and Draftster for Week 7

Sleepers - Daily Fantasy Football Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings, DraftDay and Draftster for Week 7 Could you be luckier? A peek ahead at week 7 Looking for the week 7 picks? Follow the link! I go position by position and give you whom I believe to be the best plays, dollar for dollar, for Week 7's games. This article is going to be a little bit different. Instead, I'm going to focus on particular lineup formation strategies that might help you get some separation from the field and get those value plays and sleepers that will let you spend money elsewhere while cashing in for cheap.   Sleepers Weekly disclaimer: The whole concept of a sleeper in one week fantasy football games needs to be adjusted. First of all, there's no real such thing as a "sleeper," in that you're not really going to sleep on a guy until he wakes up. What you're looking at with cheap plays are guys who are priced very reasonably who could go off if all things break right. Sniffing out the best cheap plays with upside is really the only way to have a chance in hell at taking down some of these utterly massive NFL tournaments. You'll pay up for the big names, and then hope your bargain plays pay off. That's where we come in - here are some sleepers that we love for Week 6. I'm not one for false modesty, so let me spell it out for you: our week 6 sleepers article was money in the bank. The only real misses were Andrew Hawkins and Andre Williams, and frankly, I'm not going to beat myself up over those calls. For this week, a lot of our favorite guys from last week haven't graduated to appropriate pricing - Andre Holmes in particular. We'll give you some new guys and rehash the case for some old sleepers that haven't, well, woken up just yet. The post-hype sleeper RBs Andre Williams - FD...

This service is separate from our NFL projection system.   Quarterbacks AJ Long - FD 5500 DK 4200 Long comes with a little built in risk. He took his first collegiate snaps last week so there is zero track record to get any type of feel where he is in his career progression. Still, at these prices the risk is somewhat mitigated. Plus, it’s Wake Forest. Long could be anything from Hero to Zero, but I think the chances of a total dud are pretty low. I’m more than willing to accept a slight miss from Long because his price allows for stronger plays in other areas. A starting QB against a team like Wake Forest (no disrespect Deacons), at this price offers safety and upside. I honestly can’t get a read if Long will be a heavy start or not, but he can be used across all formats. Bryce Petty - FD 10500 DK 10400 On the complete other side of the spectrum, we find Bryce Petty and the Baylor Bears. Sometimes picking skill position players from offensive teams like Baylor and Oregon can be traps. They score so many points and all of their guys just ooze potential, but they usually have so many athletes that it’s easy to miss which of the skills guys is going to get the production. One thing that is a constant is the guy delivering the ball to all those athletes. Petty is the starting QB for a team that scores in buckets in a game with an 81 over/under. Let me repeat that, an 81...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Saturday Early Games 10/11/14

If you have real time questions make sure to hit up @cascarruthers on Twitter for lineup help. Our week five NFL picks are live. And don’t forget to get access to our NFL projections. It’s a free 3-day trial for all of your Sunday DFS needs.   Cheat sheets for fantasy college football on FanDuel and Draftkings Listen - it'd be nearly impossible to create a whole projection system for college football, but Casey is willing to sell his cash game lineups through DFSR. This service is separate from our NFL projection system. Quarterbacks P.J. Walker - DK 5900 I am not totally sure what Walker has done to upset the DFS algorithm gods, but his price is once again well below value. Temple is coming off a bye week so they should be well rested and well prepared to face a shaky Tulsa team. Tulsa ranks 121st against the pass, so Walker should have little issue moving the ball through the air. Don’t forget he adds a little sizzle with his feet too. The only negative about Walker this week is he isn’t available on Fanduel. My guess is Walker won’t be the highest scoring QB, but he should be one of the best value plays at the position. Everett Golson - FD 9000 DK 8200 Golson and the Irish are coming off a gutsy performance in their quality win over Stanford. This week they get the for North Carolina. This has the makings of a letdown game with Florida State up next, but NC is just that bad. College is a little bit different whereas one slip up can cost you a shot at the title. Nevertheless you should mildly consider the Irish come out flat. I'm holding on to the thought that if the Irish do come out flat it will simply mean more Golson will do with his feet. Slow start or not, Golson one of your best options this Saturday. Brad Kaaya - FD 5900 DK 6600 Kaaya probably isn’t a cash game play, but I wanted to bring you something a little different. Other than people reading this article I’m not sure anyone will be playing Kaaya, which is perfect...
