Plan your half days now because football starts at 2pm when BYU takes on Memphis in the Miami Beach Bowl. This game would have been much more fun to watch had Tayson Hill not been lost for the season. BYU lost four straight before finishing the year with four consecutive wins. Christian Stewart has filled in nicely for Hill, but he is not the same kind of playmaker/rushing threat. BYU also lost Jamaal Williams at running back. Nevertheless the Cougars are a tough team and especially upfront on defensive side of the ball, as they rank 14th against the run. Memphis, on the other hand, will look to exploit the Cougars 104th ranked passing defense and they are certainly capable. The Tigers are led by sophomore quarterback, Paxton Lynch. Lynch had a strong year for the Tigers leading them to a 9-3 record (7-1 AAC). The Tigers play good team football and are very balanced. They run a balanced offense and rank 52 overall, which goes along with their 21st ranked defense. The Tigers are little underrated and I think they are going to give BYU everything it can handle. Players to Watch: (BYU) Christian Stewart, Paul Lasike, Jordan Leslie, Mitch Mathews (Mem) Paxton Lynch, Brandon Hayes Fantasy Analysis: Paxton Lynch is truly the catalyst of the Tiger offense and he should be able to finish strong against a very suspect pass defense.
