FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Wednesday, 2/17/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 2/17/21 If you love DFS chaos, this is the slate for you. We've had three postponements already, and it's scary to think how much will change in the next 24 hours. What's even more concerning is the fact that we have nearly 10 teams on the second half of a back-to-back set. That causes even more mayhem, and this slate will be all about following the news. With that in mind, let's get into it! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Damian Lillard FD - $9500 DK - $10300 Opponent - NO Proj Pts FD - 51.78 DK - 54.54 With Jusuf Nurkic and C.J. McCollum missing games, Lillard is an easy pick. He's actually got a usage rate north of 30 percent with those guys off the floor, regularly averaging 35 minutes and 20-plus shots a night. That monster role has led to some ridiculous production, scoring at least 48 DraftKings points in 13 of his last 14 games. That monster floor looks even more enticing when you consider that New Orleans ranks 28th in defensive efficiency, plummeting down those standings over the last three weeks. Jamal Murray FD - $6500 DK - $7100 Opponent - WAS Proj Pts FD - 35.3 DK - 36.43 Murray didn't play a great game by the eye test on Tuesday, but he somehow finished with a monster fantasy game. He had nine turnovers but still provided 25 points, six rebounds, six assists, and three steals in one of his best stat-stuffing games of the year. The nine turnovers are actually slightly encouraging because it shows just how much usage he's getting right now with Denver being so shorthanded. They're currently without Monte Morris, Paul Millsap, and Will Barton, which should force Murray into another monster game. The matchup might be the best part of this play, though, and we'll discuss that more later. If Facundo Campazzo gets another start, don't overlook him in Denver. Shooting Guard Bradley Beal FD - $9900 DK - $9800 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 54.7 DK - 56.08 It's extraordinary to see Beal below $10,000 on both sites. This dude is leading the NBA in scoring and dropping 50 fantasy points on...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Tuesday, 2/16/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Tuesday, 2/16/21 This is one of those stars and scrubs slates. We say that because every top-notch option seems to have a great matchup. Deciphering which ones to use will be the difference, and that's why we have a nice mix of cheap guys and expensive ones in this article. There's a lot to talk about, though, so let's go ahead and get into it! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Ja Morant FD - $7100 DK - $7500 Opponent - NO Proj Pts FD - 41.67 DK - 42.84 Ja has been slightly disappointing for fantasy this season, but it's just a matter of time before he sees a $1,000 price increase on both sites. We say that because he played at a $9,000 level to start the season, averaging 56 DraftKings points per game before getting injured in the second week. He's shown some flashes of that recently, averaging 32.4 fantasy points per game across his last 10 outings. That's plenty good from a $7K player, and we really want to hop on this train before it gets too fast. We expect improvement because there are so many injuries in Memphis, with De'Anthony Melton, Jaren Jackon, and Desmond Bane all sidelined. We're certainly not worried about him facing a 28th-ranked Pelicans defense, either. Kemba Walker FD - $6200 DK - $6500 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 34.92 DK - 36.24 How often do we see a guy like this priced below $7,000? We're talking about a former All-Star who's posting a 28 percent usage rate for the season while seeing his role increase because of Marcus Smart's absence. That doesn't even consider that he's attempting 17 shots a game over his last six outings, making him hard to fade in the low $6K range. He's also coming off two of his best games of the season, averaging 37 fantasy points per game across his last two outings. That directly correlates with his minute's bump, and we're definitely not concerned about him facing a 21st-ranked Denver defense. If you're looking for someone cheaper, Monte Morris could be playing 30 minutes for the shorthanded Nuggets. Shooting Guard Dillon Brooks FD - $5300 DK - $5500 Opponent...

Point Guard Kyrie Irving FD - $9600 DK - $9000 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 48.14 DK - 49.27 With Durant ruled out for the next two games, it looks like we're going to be treated to the Kyrie/Harden show once again. The duo seemed to find their rhythm in KD's last absence, and that rhythm looked like Harden setting Kyrie up to go off. Irving shot 8/17 from the floor and shot 17 free throws as well, finishing with 58.8 FanDuel points. Tonight he'll draw the fast-paced Kings, who have allowed the 9th most fantasy points per game to opposing point guards. Kyrie will have huge ownership tonight to be sure. John Wall FD - $7700 DK - $7500 Opponent - WAS Proj Pts FD - 42.48 DK - 44.07 I'm not really the "revenge game" guy, but it can't hurt a situation that's already this juicy. The Wizards are a categorically great match-up, playing the league's fastest pace with the 2nd worst defensive efficiency. They are a little stouter with Westbrook off the floor, but nothing to be worried about. Wall is already slightly cheap thanks to erratic minutes surrounding his various ailments, but with his full run he should be able to do some work here. Keep an eye on Russell Westbrook's situation. With Ish Smith already ruled out, Russ' absence would make Neto the only point guard standing in Washington. Shooting Guard Bradley Beal FD - $9800 DK - $8900 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 55.37 DK - 56.54 Westbrook has yet to play the second half of a back to back, but even if he plays, Beal is looking pretty good here. The Rockets have allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing shooting guards this season, and Westbrook's likely absence means Beal will be shouldering most of the offensive burden once again. In the last game Westbrook missed, Beal went for 34/5/7 against the Bulls. Look for a similar performance here. Eric Gordon FD - $6200 DK - $6400 Opponent - WAS Proj Pts FD - 34.03 DK - 35.5 Gordon's DFS stock is rising thanks to slight improvements across...

Point Guard LaMelo Ball FD - $7800 DK - $8700Opponent - SAProj Pts FD - 48.54 DK - 49.35 Lamely might just stick in the starting lineup even when PJ Washington comes back into the fold. The rookie is just tough to keep off the floor at this point. He started last game and finished with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists (this should have been higher). In the month of February, he’s putting up 21 points, six rebounds, and six assists in 33 minutes. He draws an ok matchup against the Spurs who’ve been solid on defense and don’t run the fastest pace. But Ball is still underpriced on FanDuel. Kyle Lowry FD - $7600 DK - $7300Opponent - MINProj Pts FD - 39.94 DK - 41.76 The Raptors draw one of the better matchups on the slate against the Timberwolves who rank 22nd on defense this season. It’s always a little tough rostering Toronto guys when they are mostly full strength in the backcourt, but I think you can consider it here. Lowry has gotten up 14 or more shots in four of his last five games and is coming off back-to-back 20+ point performances. This position, at least early, isn’t the strongest and more value might open up throughout the day. if De'Aaron Fox sits again then Tyrese Haliburton (FD 6100 DK 6600) becomes a strong play. Shooting Guard Dillon Brooks FD - $5300 DK - $5400Opponent - SACProj Pts FD - 33.21 DK - 33.46 Grayson Allen FD - $4900 DK - $4300Opponent - SACProj Pts FD - 31.44 DK - 32.16 The Grizzlies are still without some guards on the wings right now and Allen actually got the start last game with Desmond Bane on the shelf. He was effective in his 35 minutes, scoring 23 points on an awesome 6-10 night shooting from beyond the arc. He needs to score to hit value which is always going to be a little risky. But the price is still way too low on DraftKings for the cheaper price tag. Meanwhile, Brooks took the second-most shots on the team last game but struggled from the field going 5-13. Like...

Point Guard Stephen Curry FD - $10800 DK - $10100Opponent - BKNProj Pts FD - 54.62 DK - 57.92 Though they played well against the Pacers, the Nets are still a bottom-five defense on the season and this game will have the highest implied total of the four-game slate. Curry is a man on a mission this season, averaging 30 points per game on 44% from three while also tacking on six assists and five rebounds. He’s played in every game and has put what remains of the Warriors on his shoulders. For the short slate, he’s a tough fade considering the matchup. Malcolm Brogdon FD - $7200 DK - $7500Opponent - ATLProj Pts FD - 39.15 DK - 40.12 Brogdon is taking the most threes of his career, close to seven per game, and also shooting more efficiently from beyond the arc at 39%. He’s also averaging about 36 minutes per game and the shots have ticked up a bit since Victor Oladipo was shipped out in the James Harden trade a few weeks ago. If anything, his overall field goal percentage (44%) is a little low for his career averages, though that could be because of the spike in threes. Regardless, he’s a solid cash play here against the Hawks. Shooting Guard Donovan Mitchell FD - $8300 DK - $8100Opponent - MIAProj Pts FD - 45.95 DK - 48.59 Jordan Clarkson FD - $4700 DK - $5400Opponent - MIAProj Pts FD - 28.68 DK - 30.16 Are the Utah Jazz the best team in basketball? Probably not when it’s all said and done, but it’s hard to argue with what they are doing right now. They are going off a decisive win over the Bucks on Friday and own a league-best 21-5 record. Much of it, especially in the short-term is because of the play of Donovan Mitchell and Jordan Clarkson. With Mike Conley out of the lineup, Mitchell has averaged 28 points over the last five games on 20 shots per game. He’s shot 44% from three on almost nine attempts during that stretch as well. Meanwhile, Clarkson is the easy frontrunner for 6th-Man of the Year this...
