Sick deal.   Point Guard Michael Carter-Williams - FD 8700 DK 8500 DFSTR 7100 On a shorter slight, finding certainty can be pretty tough. That's why I'm grabbing MCW - especially if Wroten is out. Detroit has allowed the 6th most points against opposing PGs this year, and Carter-Williams piles up the opportunities without the other Philly ball-hog in the game. With 3 consecutive games over 43 fantasy points (as of this writing - the OKC game is going on right now), Carter-Williams will be on all of my cash game squads, and many of my GPPs as well. Mo Williams - FD 5500 DK 6000 DFSTR 4500 Zach LaVine - FD 3600 DK 4600 DFSTR 3100 This will be the premier punt option at PG unless something major changes this before tip off. Williams has paid as much as 8x on this FanDuel price twice in his last 4 games, and will be one of the safer options with the most upsides if he comes back against the Spurs 21st ranked defense against the PG. If LaVine gets the nod, it's a little riskier, but the savings will be very intriguing when it comes to trying to shuffle the money around to get the money in good at other positions. Brandon Jennings - FD 6700 DK 7900 DFSTR 6200 It's officially getting weird with Jennings, but if he's in line for nearly 40 minutes (like he had against Boston), the upside is absolutely through the roof against Philly's last ranked PG defense. Take the above two guys in cash games, but deeply consider Jennings in your GPPs.   Shooting Guard Jimmy Butler - FD 8100 DK 7200 DFSTR 5700 For cash games, it's tough to imagine not sticking Butler in the lineup. What we're looking at here is consistency in opportunity. The price has climbed high enough to where there isn't a ton of upside here, but Butler is around 40 minutes every single night, and has paid 5x on this FanDuel price in 3 of his last 5 games. Golden State is tough against the SG position, so I'm not head over heels here - but if you're...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Draftster 12/5/14

And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baskeball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal.   Point Guard Kyle Lowry - FD 9100 DK 9600 DFSTR 7400 Since Derozan has been out of the lineup, Lowry has posted both usage AND assist rates over 30%. That is absolutely ridiculous. He's the entire Raptors offense right now. As we've written in basically every picks article since the season began, Kyrie is a wreck of a defender, and Cleveland is 29th against the point guard position this season. This is a terrific spot to take Lowry, even with the continually increasing price. Greivis Vasquez - FD 4800 DK 4600 DFSTR 4400 I don't want to belabor the point for you - but since he's been Toronto's starting shooting guard, Vasquez has posted a fantasy point total at least 5x this price in every single game. Cleveland is a fine match-up for shooting guards, and there's no reason why this production won't continue. Mo Williams - FD 5500 DK 6000 DFSTR 4500 Zach LaVine - FD 3600 DK 4200 DFSTR 3500 Figure out who is starting, and play them. Both are absolutely reasonably priced for what they could do in a starting role, and either should see very heavy minutes if they are the starter. While Mo is clearly safer, Lavine will have considerable upside on these bare bones prices against a Houston back court that hasn't been quite as tough against the point guard position as they were last year. Also considered: Russell Westbrook   Shooting Guard Rodney Stuckey - FD 4800 DK 4600 DFSTR 4600 Stuckey sidled into the starting lineup, and posted a very solid 16/6/5 performance. This is more than enough to pay off these still punt-esque prices, and he's capable of more if his shot is really clicking on a given night. Sactown has allowed the 3rd most points against shooting guards this season - I think this could be our lowest price for the rest of the season on Stuckey. James Harden - FD 10400 DK 11200 DFSTR 9400 With Dwight continuing to be shelved, Harden is seeing a ton of shots and general opportunity within the Houston offense. With 55 fantasy...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Draftster 12/4/14

Short Slate = Short picks.   Point Guard Kyrie Irving - FD 8300 DK 9300 DFSTR 7200 If you are going to pay for a point guard he is probably the guy. As you will see tonight, the decisions are less than clear when it comes to the top value plays. It isn't an easy slate by any means. And while I'm usually pretty excited at the prospect of less options because they decisions made by your opponents tend to cascade if even off by one guy, this one has me hesitant. And after all of that I give you Kyrie. His value is wrapped up a little too much in his scoring which I don't love from a point guard. He's kind of the anti-Rondo in this way. When you do too much of one thing your floor is much lower. That's the case with Kyrie and if this thing gets blow out-y then he is in trouble. I'll risk it though against a bad Knicks team. Jose Calderon - FD 5800 DK 5600 DFSTR 4300 If he can get a decent amount of minutes I think he'll be fine at this price. When he gets thirty or more minutes, paying this price is no problem at all. The issue becomes if the Cavs crush the Knicks and he doesn't see the fourth. I'm fine with risking it (a theme as you'll see). He's averaging a 10/4/4 which is the mean of his production, but the fluctuations are high. I'm betting he gets the minutes and pays easily. Consider Donald Sloan   Shooting Guard Rodney Stuckey - FD 4800 DK 4500 DFSTR 4500 Oof. It doesn't feel good. And you are really begging for the minutes here. But when Stuckey gets the run, the fantasy production (relative to these prices) is there. It's just the run. Will it be there on a given night? Considering his salaries and the lack of any real SG options that don't make you want to puke, I think you can pull the trigger here. If it were a full slate of games, I...

Sign up now and get a free 3 day trial to our lineup construction tool for FanDuel and DraftKings. And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baskeball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal.   Point Guard John Wall - FD 9000 DK 10200 DFSTR 8200 Lakers. Lakers. Lakers. You will see me lead off these columns almost all of the time with point guards against the Lakers. It's just too choice a matchup considering L.A.'s style of play and their inability to defend the position. Don't sweat Brandon Jennings' performance last night. Wall is obviously in a different league and will be a high dollar, high percentage cash game play tonight. I wouldn't call him the safest dude of all time, but I want to have exposure to this game on the Wizard side of the ball and Wall is by far the best bet here. Mo Williams - FD 5600 DK 5700 DFSTR 4000 Another guy whose price isn't there yet when we factor in just how much usage he's getting with Rubio out of the picture. Though it was mirky at first, the delineation of PG roles with Lavine around, that question is over. He's the go-to guy and delivering, getting crazy run in the T-Wolves offense and becoming a scorer and disher. This will be a super-fast game and should be up and down the court all night. He's close to Vasquez for me in terms of value and I think a bit safer than Greivous. Greivis Vasquez - FD 3900 DK 4300 DFSTR 3900 Still coming too cheap considering his new role as the starting two guard and carrying backup PG minutes as well. Vasquez basically is continuing what he was doing in backing up Lowry but is now also filling in for Derozan as well. The price hasn't caught up at all and he makes a strong value play once again. I'd be less thrilled if he was only playing the two, but considering he becomes a ball handler with Lowry off the court, this is a fantastic price with his increase in minutes.   Shooting Guard Kobe Bryant - FD 9200 DK 9400 DFSTR 7900 He's turning into a guy who just loves to pass. And it's working. Kobe didn't score a point in the first half...

And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baskeball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal.   Point Guard Greivis Vasquez - FD 3900 DK 4300 DFSTR 3900 Price and opportunity. Price and opportunity. That's the name of the game here and Vasquez has both working for him. He drew the start in place of Derozan last game and responded with a 19/5 game. Granted that was against the Lakers and the game went to overtime. But he was set to pay before the extra run. And I think he is the best value guard on board by a long shot. I will have him in all cash games. The one concern here is you are playing a two guard in the point guard slot, but Lowry and Vasquez weren't on the court together the whole time last game. He will handle the ball plenty. Brandon Jennings - FD 7200 DK 7600 DFSTR 6300 Lakers. Lakers. Lakers. Jennings is back from the hand injury and really didn't miss a beat in his first game. He went 22/6/5 against Golden State, one of the better defensive teams in the league. The Lakers are at the opposite end of the spectrum. They are allowing a whopping 30% more scoring that league average to the opposing point guard. That number is appalling. How can we not play opposing point guards against Jeremy Lin and company? The answer is: we can't (Too many negative in those clauses? It's simple, Jennings is a great play.) Jeff Teague - FD 7100 DK 7700 DFSTR 6400 Getting point guards against the Celtics is a winning formula. Boston plays at the highest pace in the league (tied with Golden State) but unlike that squad has one of the worst Defensive Efficiencies around. That’s a fantastic spot for the opposing PG who can push the pace and make up tons of ground in volume. Teague’s been playing real well of late, and while I don’t tend to overweight recent performance if all other metrics remain the same, there is reason to suspect he continues a level of performance in such a great matchup. Consider Russell Westbrook if there's no KD and you get word he won't have a minutes restriction. And even then he's...
