Point Guard Jarrett Jack - FD 5600 DK 5300 DFSTR 4300 So it seems Deron Williams is officially no longer the starter. For some reason I'm not totally buying it. I just have a hard time believing the Nets will leave this much money on their bench for this long. But they have. And in that time Jack has been tearing it up, averaging 36 fantasy points over his last four games. I'm only concerned about the minutes suddenly disappearing as Williams is transitioned back into the offense. Otherwise, Jack is more than a value considering the run he's been getting. Brandon Knight - FD 6700 DK 7000 DFSTR 6500 Not a guy we typically throw out there, but some down games and low ownerships have his prices solidly in the midrange now. The Hornets have been bad all season against opposing point guards, allowing 8% more scoring than league average to the position. Up until recently, Knight was the only guy on the Bucks I wasn't worried about when it came to minutes. And I still think he's relatively safe. I think the price has fallen to the point that you can play him safely. Consider Derrick Rose Shooting Guard Rodney Stuckey - FD 5800 DK 5800 DFSTR 5000 We were one of the very few outfits (or DFS players) on Stuckey the other night following the eye injury. And he obliged our faith when he played with a 20/6/8 night that crushed it from the contrarian side. He remains a value at the SG position and one thing I like about the guy is he adds in the rebounds to keep the floor a bit higher considering the price. The Bulls and Jimmy Butler are no easy matchup but Stuckey still can get it done with the salary in mind. Gary Neal - FD 3600 DK 4200 DFSTR 3000 Doesn't seem safe by any means. But the guy is a minimum-priced dude thanks in part to an epically bad shooting stretch over his last three games. He's 4-26...

Point Guard Russell Westbrook - FD 11800 DK 11900 DFSTR 8800 This pick is totally contingent on Durant not playing. I wouldn't even consider Russell at these prices if KD is rolling and even then it's damn close. But the fact remains that if he gets full run with no Durant then he's about as good as it gets from a fantasy (and real life) perspective. Westbrook plays at another level and keeps his floor so damn high because he basically does, well, everything. Scores, rebounds, assists and gets to the line over and over and over again. Check KD's status and play accordingly. Goran Dragic - FD 7200 DK 7700 DFSTR 6100 Isaiah Thomas - FD 5600 DK 5900 DFSTR 6000 Honestly, I'd seriously consider starting them both on this short slate especially if I wasn't rolling Westbrook. They get the worst defensive team in the league and you can basically guarantee a certain amount of minutes out of the two of them. Thomas is especially a bargain considering how much they've been using him lately and these guys both stand to hit value (or at least should combine for it). The Lakers are dreadful on D against point guards and both of these guys can fill it up. Consider Patrick Beverley Shooting Guard Eric Bledsoe - FD 7900 DK 9300 DFSTR 7300 This one's easy isn't it? He's been a solid cash game play for a while now and tonight gets to face the worst defensive team in the league. I really can't overstate how bad the Lakers are on defense. Against opposing shooting guards they allow 10% more than league average scoring and are worse in every other metric as well. Bledsoe doesn't break the bank for you and should stand to see plenty of scoring opportunities. I don't love the multi-guard system the Suns are running (from a fantasy perspective) but Bledsoe is a safe option today. Wesley Matthews - FD 5500 DK 5900 DFSTR 4900 The Knicks have an impossible time with shooting guards almost independent...

Point Guard Jarrett Jack - FD 4900 DK 5000 DFSTR 4400 This is if and only if Deron Williams sits again. I am putting Jack at the top of the list though because if he's starting PG then you basically have to play him at these prices. In his last two games playing big minutes with Williams out Jack has averaged 14/4/6. That's way more than enough to make him a must play as our system already likes the guy on his per minutes production. Check in closer to game time on Deron's health status. Russell Westbrook - FD 11200 DK 11900 DFSTR 8200 He falls into much the same category as Jack (didn't think you'd see that comparison between Jarrett and Russell did you?) but Westbrook's top end value is very much tied to the health of Durant. This is to say, if Durant is out it's Russell time. His usage rate is off the charts when he's the first, second and third option for the Thunder. Mo Williams - FD 5500 DK 4700 DFSTR 4900 He's back to playing the big minutes from the point as the Timberwolves seem done easing him back into the fold. Williams' price is about where it was pre-injury and he was a bargain then. We were only waiting for him to have the full run taken back from Lavine. Kyrie and the Cavs often make a good matchup for opposing point guards. The only question is whether the T-Wolves can keep it close. Williams isn't the best point guard in the world, but this play is all about the price. Stephen Curry - FD 10500 DK 10900 DFSTR 8600 If Westbrook isn't in the cards because of Durant's return, you've got Steph. I don't need to go through the explanation here unless this is your first NBA rodeo. The Lakers allow a crazy 20% more than league average scoring to opposing point guards. And Steph is Steph. He's playing at a crazy high level over the short term after a run of inconsistency at the beginning of the year. I love the matchup and...

Point Guard Russell Westbrook - FD 11000 DK 11900 DFSTR 8200 The price is reaching the stratosphere and with good reason. He's been doing everything for OKC and with word that Durant will sit today, Russell becomes the instantly goes from the highest usage guy in the NBA to the highest usages guy by a country mile. The only question becomes the price. If enough cheap options present themselves over the course of the day, then I really want to have him in my cash lineups. He's next leveling this thing right now and even to the naked eye he is playing step quicker, getting to the line a ton, rebounding and basically just doing everything. It's a marvel to watch. C.J. Watson - FD 4100 DK 4900 DFSTR 3900 If he's back from his sinus whatever then these prices (especially FanDuel) are pretty dumb. On FanDuel you'd be getting a starting point guard, seeing about 30 minutes for just a hair above the minimum. That's a ridiculous proposition and honestly, if he isn't a 100% start then I'd venture to say whatever % aren't starting him are making a pretty big error. The Timberwolves are well below average against opposing point guards so it isn't like CJ would be facing against the likes of CP3 again. But this is all about price and opportunity. Watson is as cheap as you'd find a punt play PG at the last second except that he's the established guy. And he lets you get Russell. So win-win. Darren Collison - FD 7500 DK 6800 Deron Williams might get traded to the Kings. But it won't happen today. And as long as Collison is running the point for the Kings you need to consider him against the Lakers who get shredded by just about every position, but especially point guard. They've allowed 20% more than league average scoring to the position and Collison, though he's got some stinkers on the old resume, makes a solid cash game play considering the prices and opponent. Consider Norris Cole and Michael Carter-Williams Shooting Guard Victor Oladipo - FD...

And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baskeball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal. Point Guard A quick word before we get started. It's a weird night. Lots of great defenses, and not a lot of great values. We're going to be scrapping out Ws tonight, and it wouldn't surprise me to see some winning GPPs in the very low 300s or high 200s on FanDuel. It's that kind of night. So, let's get to it. Patrick Beverley - FD 5600 DK 5500 DFSTR 5000 Beverley saw a noticeable dip in basically every category in Dwight's first game back, but we're obviously on a pretty short sample size here. So why Beverley in this game? It mostly comes to the fact that there aren't a lot of great match-ups tonight, and he's got one of them. The Pelicans have allowed 6% more points scoring than league average to point guards, and in terms of overall fantasy points, they have allowed the 7th most. Even with a decline in usage, Beverley is a favorite for the highest points per dollar game from a PG today. Russell Westbrook - FD 10800 DK 11700 DFSTR 8200 Around DFSR headquarters, we've been calling Westbrook the Cheat Code. Dude is just 2 steps faster than anyone on the court at the present moment. With 3 straight 50 point fantasy games and just 1 game under 40 fantasy points this season, Westbrook is the safest big money player alive at this moment in time. This will be his test, though. Golden State has defended PGs terrifically this year, and Steph's much improved footwork is making a difference. But if the Warriors' rim protector is out, I don't see how they'll do anything to impede this freight train. Jose Calderon - FD 5100 DK 4500 DFSTR 4100 This is more of a GPP play, I suppose, but I really like Calderon's upside tonight. Let's be real: the Dallas game was a little weird. Calderon's minutes were jerked all over the place and the Knicks were down 19-7 before I got back from the bathroom. But there is a lot to like about Calderon, too. First of all, he's playing a ton of minutes...
