Sick deal.   Point Guard Chris Paul - FD 9900 DK 9700 DFSTR 8400 For as bad as they are, the Lakers have actually done a decent job, all things considered, of hanging in games. Sure they have blowouts on their resume. After all, they can’t play defense. But they do actually score and as they proved the other night against the Blazers, if they can hang around long enough the other team’s point guard benefits enormously. They get absolutely destroyed by the other squad’s one, allowing something in the range of 20% more than league average scoring to the position. Blowouts are a risk for sure. And the line on this one is huge. But Paul’s been killing it of late and he has the best matchup by a mile. Jarrett Jack - FD 6000 DK 6500 DFSTR 4600 This is strictly in play only if Deron Williams is out again. Jack plays heavy minutes at the one when D-Will sits and he crushed it the other night against the Mavericks. That game went to overtime but Jack had more than paid his price in regulation. Again, I’m really only considering this if he is the lone ballhandler on the squad, but if so he is in a fantastic matchup with the Celtics who play at a breakneck pace with very little in the way of defense. Derrick Rose - FD 6900 DK 6600 DFSTR 6200 One of these nights he is going get out there and not shoot like 35% or less from the field and it's going to be seriously on. Like seriously. Do you get how serious I am? It's a shame his struggles in the short term as he's turning in some horrific shooting performances, but I do believe he'll pull out of it. His last five games have been a travesty, but this is why we play DFS: to get guys at value dollars. That's where Rose is now. The minutes are there and so is the matchup. Others will be off of him, but I think you can trot him into lineups. Elfrid Payton - FD 5200 DK 5300 DFSTR...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Draftster 1/6/15

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Draftster 1/6/15 A new year, but the NBA is still here. And we are here every single day, to providing you with all the NBA picks you need to make literally a million dollars at Daily Fantasy Basketball. Enjoy! And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our basketball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal. --- It's a super-short slate tonight with only two games on the docket. That's probably a good thing after the clusterf@#% that occurred last night with Waiters, and to a lesser extent J.R. Smith. Both were traded after lineups locked and Waiters especially had an impact. He was a high ownership play (your humble writer included who had him on 100% of his FanDuel lineups). But this is the thing with DFS. You play long enough and these things will happen. Sometimes for you, sometimes against. It's an operative lesson in bankroll managements, eggs and baskets and whatnot. With so few games going, I'm just going to highlight some interesting plays rather than go position-by-position.   Top End Value Tim Duncan - FD 8700 DK 9100 DFSTR 8300 He's probably the safest guy on a dicey short slate. There are a lot of question marks going into this one. Will Parker play? What will the Piston rotations look like? Or the Bucks for that matter? The Spurs, after a couple of days off should be able to give Duncan a full run of his minutes. Granted, they could destroy the Pistons, but I'm not sure you can sweat that too much with so few games going. I'll have him in all of my cash games because he should be able to do work on Monroe and company down low. The tag doesn't completely break the bank though I should mention that he probably doesn't have oodles of upside either. Greg Monroe - FD 6300 DK 7100 DFSTR 6400 The minutes seem anything but secure, and yet the matchup against the Spurs is fine enough considering the price. It if he can creep to thirty minutes (nothing close to a guarantee) then he is by far the best points/$ play on the board today in his price range (and maybe overall). The FanDuel price hasn't corrected enough for life with Smoove, but SVG just doesn't play favorites here. Monroe can sit for long stretches and that scares the...

While you are spending your day sleeping it off, or wondering what exactly happened last night. We are here to give you the NBA plays you are jones-ing for. Since there are only two games on the docket today, I'm not going to break down this thing position by position. Instead, I'll give just a brief overview of some of our system's value plays. Enjoy a day of Advil, water, college football, and NBA.   Big Money Plays Pau Gasol - FD 8600 DK 8900 He's facing a Denver front court that defends a lot like you did last night when you didn't want to do that fifth shot, but really couldn't help yourself and all of a sudden you're allowing yet another Jager Bomb down the gullet. Something like that. The Nuggets are allowing about 10% more than league average scoring to opposing power forwards. Gasol is a lock for his minutes (as are most of the Bulls ) and should have his way down low. He will be in 100% of my lineups barring some weird issue as he represents the safest way to get big money in on this short slate. DeMarcus Cousins - FD 10800 DK 11100 Gorgui Dieng is no defender. And isn't particularly good on offender either but that's not what we care about with Boogie. No instead, we are looking at how the Timberwolves take care of opposing centers. The short answer is: they don't. They get crushed, especially in the scoring department and are going to have real problems with the Boogie man today. Cousins is one of the elite offensive centers in the game and hasn't shown much ill effect of sitting for sickness all the those games. He, like Gasol, will be how I'm getting on...

Sick deal.   Point Guard Russell Westbrook - FD 11700 DK 12100 DFSTR 8800 As is always the case with Russell, his fantasy value (at least at these prices) is very much tied to the status of Durant. If KD sits again (he's GTD right now) Westbrook is probably still a value even at these insanely high tags. It's hard to comprehend that. But his usage rate is off the charts and he's, for the most part, delivering. He'd be getting a fast-paced Phoenix team that gets shredded by opposing point guards. If no Durant I'm starting my cash game plays with this guy. Brandon Knight - FD 6700 DK 7400 DFSTR 6500 As Jeff Teague proved last night, Cleveland and Kyrie Irving have major struggles against opposing point guards. Knight's price has dropped over the short term because of some inconsistent performances and a troubling amount of turnovers last game and rough shooting of late. That's fine. If the Bucks can keep it even a semblance of close, Knight is a guy I'll have some shares of because of all the Bucks he's one of the few without minutes questions. Cory Joseph - FD 5400 DK 5300 DFSTR 3300 Patrick Beverley - FD 5800 DK 5300 DFSTR 4900 These two have almost no upside but they do have something in common: minutes. That's going to be the theme of the day as the high value just isn't there across the board. Our system has a bunch of guys locked into very similar multipliers and they are trending low. That's subject to a couple of the truly awful defensive teams not going today. So we need to target the minutes for safety. That's where these guys come in. They won't blow it out of the box, but they also won't break your bank. Strongly consider Isaiah Thomas because the price is still low.   Shooting Guard Marco Belinelli - FD 4200 DK 4000 DFSTR 3500 We gave him as a top play last night and all he did was crush it. Dude has major...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Draftster 12/30/14 The NBA! We're back, just like we do every single day, to provide you with all the NBA picks you need to make literally a million dollars at Daily Fantasy Basketball. Enjoy! Ready to make the leap and get access to the exclusive projection system that produces these picks? Sign up now and get a free 3 day trial to our lineup construction tool for FanDuel and DraftKings. And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baskeball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal.   Point Guard Ty Lawson - FD 8900 DK 10000 DFSTR 6400 Though we might be accused of overweighting the upside of a player facing off against the Lakers look no further than some of these metrics. The Lakers are allowing a whopping 21% more scoring than league average to opposing point guards along with 18% more assists. This is born out of LA's consistently taking bad shots leading to fast breaks going the other way. Lawson makes a solid cash game play tonight as his floor should be high based on the pace and defensive inadequacies of the opponent. Jarrett Jack - FD 5600 DK 5900 DFSTR 4300 The Nets don't appear interested in bringing Deron Williams back to the starting lineup any time soon and his loss is Jarrett Jack's gain. Jack's been solid in the starting lineup and his price refuses to climb enough. That's a good thing and though I'm a little worried about the minutes just one day disappearing because D-Will comes off the bench and gets hot, for now I think you can keep it going. The Bulls haven't been good against point guards this season and I'm not letting that matchup dissuade me. Stephen Curry - FD 10100 DK 11000 DFSTR 8900 More of a GPP option because the Warriors might win this thing by 300 but Curry has some upside against a weaker defense if there's any chance in hell that Philly can keep it close. I don't suspect the latter happens, but on the off chance they keep in the running then Curry could really eclipse this tag. Strongly consider Elfrid Payton who is looking more comfortable in the starting role.   Shooting Guard Arron Afflalo - FD 5100 DK 6200 DFSTR 5100 Fair warning: I've never actually played Arron Afflalo in a game when he's been good. I try to forget this little piece of bias when I'm making lineups, but man is it tough. Whenever I zig with him, he zags. But the price and matchup are almost too good to...
