Sick deal.   Point Guard Ty Lawson - FD 7500 DK 7000 Lawson had a miserable first one and a half games to start the season. And then in the second half against OKC on Saturday he bounced back in a big way finishing with a 25/5/2 line. The seven turnovers aren't ideal, but I think as he finds his groove with a relatively new cast of characters (Afflalo and Gallo to be precise) he'll begin well outperforming this price. I think we are buying rather low all things considered here. Collison is a good defender, but Lawson has the ability to hit value on these salaries. Tony Wroten - FD 7000 DK 7000 What I like about Wroten is that he's going to see his minutes even if the Sixers are getting blown out, which will happen a lot. With MCW out Philly has few capable ball-handlers and will call on Wroten to get the volume he needs to stay a pretty safe play. He can score, he dishes and adds in a few rebounds here and there. The Sixers are sloppy in general, so turnovers can rear their ugly heads, but if Beverley is out again Wroten should be able to get some work done on offense. Rajon Rondo - FD 8100 DK 7900 Rondo is an interesting case. I feel like on any given night he's a pretty safe play simply because he rebounds and dishes so well that between those two stats he keeps his floor pretty high. And on the nights in which he adds the points? Look out. Jameer Nelson is an average defender, and the Celtics are dogs here, but I like Rondo as a safer play. Monitor the OKC situation with Reggie Jackson coming back. If Jackson sits again, Telfair makes for an interesting cheap option. Also, if Patrick Beverley sits again Isaiah Canaan is a solid punt play at PG.   Shooting Guard Really hate this position tonight. I don't think you are getting much value in here. James Harden - FD 10000 DK 10300 Warning: He's one the best pts/$ play at the...

Sick deal.   Point Guard Stephen Curry - FD 9800 DK 10400 Short slates are all about getting our money in good on big prices, and coming through on our cheaper plays. Without question, the big money guy to spend on for Sundays slate of basketball games is Steph Curry. He showed all that you need to know about him in the first game of the season, putting up his last season's line plus some rebounds and steals, minus a few assists. Damian Lillard is very much an offense-only PG on the other side of the ball, as evidence by Portland's dismal allowance of 11% more fantasy points to opposing PGs last season. Steph is pretty much a must play in cash games and GPPs alike. Norris Cole - FD 4400 DK 4700 The perfect guy to play if you want to spend up on Curry but don't want to totally blow your load, so to speak, on the PG position. With Miami turning its eye toward Cole (and the future), he becomes a no-brainer play as a 30 minute a night guy for punt level prices. I might wind up eating these words, but it's basically impossible for Cole to not pay off these prices for cash games (with room for much more in GPPs when his shots are falling, a la his first game this season), and Toronto's very solid PG defense really can't do much to stand in the way of his opportunity. Kemba Walker - FD 7600 DK 8100 It's going to seem weird recommending Kemba off of an 0-9 start to Saturday's game, but here goes, anyway. I think Walker's first game of the season is far more indicative of how Charlotte plans to use him than the game against a stout Memphis D, and the good news for him is, the already bad against the PG Knicks have lost their defensive core. Look for the Hornets to want to get Walker back on track after he played a reduced set of minutes in Saturday's game, but keep an eye on the potential foot issues.   Shooting Guard...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Friday 11/1/14

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Friday 11/1/14 NBA is back and we are here delivering daily plays for the both DraftKings and FanDuel. Our week nine NFL picks are live. And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baskeball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal.   Point Guard Ty Lawson - FD 7600 DK 6800 I kind of love that he was super bad the first game. In fact, we even got a tweet saying something akin to “Never again Ty Lawson!” And I get it. If you paid up the first night (which I did in some GPPs) he burnt you bad. But he remains one of the better point guards in the league and on the right night can be an assist machine. OKC is decimated right now. They have no one. He’ll be guarded by Sebastian Telfair. So, there you go. I’m all over Lawson for value tonight and think he piles on some assists while also getting to the rim. Stephen Curry - FD 9800 DK 10200 You’ll need to pay up in a big way, but on larger slates in the NBA that becomes an easier proposition considering the number of punts you’ll typically get on a larger slate. The Lakers really don’t have an answer defensively for him (few teams do) considering Lin with will be “guarding” the guy for the better part of the game (I presume). Curry, from a raw points perspective, is the top guy in our system. If I can save enough elsewhere (and there are options even at PG to do so) then I like his ultimate upside against a bad team. Sebastian Telfair - FD 5300 DK 4600 A crazy value on DK considering the new role. He will be playing major minutes out of the one and be in line to crush value on both sites. Will most likely be a popular play and with good reason. Donald Sloan - FD 4700 The price just hasn’t moved for a guy getting the lionshare of the minutes at the point for Indiana. The Pacers just don’t really have a ton of guys who can like, dribble. Or really do anything with the basketball. This is a price thing. His price has corrected some on DK, but not on FD. Play him with full confidence at this price. He won’t be this cheap next time...

Daily Fantasy NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Friday 10/31/14

And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baskeball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal.   Point Guard Donald Sloan - FD 4700 DK 5800 It's hard not to be impressed by Sloan's 16/10/6 on 34 minutes in the season opener, but he won't draw Philly's woeful defense every night. Still, though, on a team with no scoring options left, the guy handling the ball the most is going to do SOMETHING with it. Really, though, it just comes down to the price. Sloan is so affordable and creates so much cap flexibility that it's extremely tough to imagine getting him out of lineups in any format. Chris Paul - FD 9600 DK 9500 The more things change, the more they stay the same. Fun fact - did you know that the best the Lakers did against a given fantasy position last year was 27th in the NBA? Sadly for them, they are 30th against point guards. One has to think that CP3 and the high-flying clips will be eager to put a stamp on the Staples Center in their first meeting with the cross-town embarrassment, and the only risk you'll find here is total blowout. I just felt a little bit embarrassed trying to picture Jeremy Lin covering Paul as well. I should really just move on. Darren Collison - FD 5800 DK 6500 Collison has slid nicely into the Isaiah Thomas role, and could have had an absolutely epic performance in his first outing if he didn't run bad from the field. Even still, he posted a night north of 40 fantasy points including an incredible 5 steals. While he won't get 5 steals a night, prorating his career stats to what look like this year's minutes mean he could be a PG in the ~$7k-$7.5k range before very long. That'd be 15 pts, 1.5 steals, .2 blocks, 6.25 assists, and 3.5 boards. Very low floor, and quite the ceiling for one of the Kings few scoring options - especially against a Portland team that allowed the 3rd most fantasy points in the league to opposing PGs last year. Brandon Knight - FD 7100 DK 7400 Knight is sort of the ultimate boom or...

Daily Fantasy NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Thursday 10/30

Daily Fantasy NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Thursday 10/30 NBA is back and we are here delivering daily plays for the both DraftKings and FanDuel. Our week nine NFL picks are live. And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baskeball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal. Quick note on the Cavs, mainly Lebron, Love and Kyrie. I'm taking a wait-and-see approach on these guys tonight. For one, I think they're going to blow out the Knicks in a bad way. Early lines have them at -10. Now that in itself wouldn't sway me away from the big new three. It's just that they are so expensive for a team that is a little murky in how it'll fit together fantasy-wise. I just think it's too much money to allocate. I recognize this could easily blow up on me. But it's the line I'm taking.   Point Guard Chris Paul - FD 9600 DK 9300 Though it didn't show with Lillard last night, I think opposing point guards are going to, in general, be at advantage when playing OKC. Westbrook is going to be called on to do so much with Durant out that it stands to reason his defense will suffer a bunch. Plus, CP3 could make it difficult for him on the other side of the court. OKC was below average against opposing PG's last season (though much of that was without Russ). Coming out of the gate, I expect the Clippers to come out firing on all cyclinders and on a short night it makes a lot of sense to play a safety guy like CP3. Elfrid Payton - FD 5500 DK 4900 Elfrid was a guy we gave you right out of the gate on opening night and he turned in a value performance for the Magic. He paid of his FD salary at 4x which we will definitely take in a double up format on a short night. I don't think he'll go totally crazy, but he played over thirty minutes in a game that was pretty much a blowout. That's a great DFS sign because it means he should see run for a Magic team that will be down a bunch. The Wiz and John Wall allowed worse than league-average scoring and assists to the opposing PG last season and they are a similar (worse) squad this season. Solid prices here on Payton....
