Sick deal.   Point Guard Aaron Brooks - FD 4100 DK 4900 DFSTR 4000 This pick is contingent on both Hinrich and Rose sitting. If both of those guys are out, which looks very much to be the case, then playing Brooks at punt prices is a fantastic spot. The one thing that concerns me with him, and it probably limits his upside is the minutes. I want to believe that like every other Bull starter, he will see a full run. He didn't last game, but they were getting smoked. So it's hard to know. I'm willing to predict he gets thirty minutes here if it stays close. But there's some risk Thibs has him in a timeshare with E'twaun Moore. (And if you think that's the case then the latter is a moderately interesting spec play at the minimum). Kyrie Irving - FD 7900 DK 8800 DFSTR 7100 Point guard is a tough position tonight. Most times there are a plethora of safer options in the upper-middle tier that you can slot in. Our multipliers are typically close on a smattering of dudes in the 7500-8200 range. But not tonight. The landscape is fuzzy. Kyrie sticks out because Orlando has allowed worse than league average scoring to opposing point guards and will struggle to defend him, especially around the perimeter. He doesn't break the bank for what he can provide though the risk with Kyrie is that, unlike most PGs, his value is in his scoring. He doesn't rack up big assist numbers which does hurt his value. One thing to note on Damian Lillard. I suspect he will be a high % play because of the name and the matchup. It's worth noting that Philly has actually kept opposing PGs in check this season and there is significant blowout risk.   Shooting Guard Jimmy Butler - FD 7700 DK 7400 DFSTR 5700 This play, much like Brooks, is contingent on Rose sitting. Which looks to be the case. Butler is a hugh usage guy when he needs to be a primary scorer in the offense (when Rose is out). His price has climbed out of the "must start"...

And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baskeball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal.   Point Guard Mario Chalmers - FD 5300 DK 5900 DFSTR Chalmers was positively transcendent last night, and draws an even better match-up tonight against Kemba Walker and the Hornets. If Wade is out yet again, or even if Norris Cole misses another game, Chalmers remains at the top of the point guard food chain on a points per dollar basis. Reggie Jackson - FD 7900 DK 7700 DFSTR 6200 For your double up and cash game needs, I'd like to submit Reggie Jackson. While the minutes are tapering off to some degree, he's still up in the 35-37 minute range, and the Thunder are decidedly lacking in other offensive options. What makes him the perfect cash game play, though, is his well roundedness. He's averaging 6 boards and 8 assists in his last 5 games - ever since his minutes started going down. Golden State hasn't been quite so tough against PGs this year, and while there's blowout risk here, I think Jackson's a terrific play regardless. Ty Lawson - FD 8200 DK 8800 DFSTR 6300 When the Nuggets aren't busy getting blown out, Lawson is good for 40 minutes a game. I don't think there's a whole heck of a lot of risk of that against the Lakers of Los Angeles. Sweetening the deal are the Lakers' fast pace, and Jeremy Lin's notoriously awful defense. Lawson makes for a very high upside play for his price point. Spending your thing? Consider Steph Curry. I like the cheaper guys better on a points per dollar basis, but our projection system thinks he's got a good chance to play well against the Thunder. I do worry that other guys will take on the bulk of the scoring, given that Jackson is basically the one competent OKC guy not named Ibaka.   Shooting Guard Kobe Bryant - FD 9400 DK 8900 DFSTR 7600 It's semi-weird for me to recommend Kobe Bean at these prices, but our projection system is a big fan. Given the Lakers lack of offensive options, Kobe seems content to shoot the lights out. And Arron Afflalo's defense is not what it used to be. Denver...

And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baskeball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal. And check out our NFL Week 12 picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Draftster In many ways this slate in the NBA is no different from any other in that there are a number of question marks going into the games. The big difference here is that there are three pieces of information that are critical to making lineups. And without all three it is very difficult to get a sense of how these picks will shape up. Those three things are the health of Dwayne Wade, Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol. What happens with these three guys is basically the key to determining how you approach the slate. Let's examine:   If Rose sits Jimmy Butler - FD 7700 DK 7600 DFSTR 5700 Kirk Hinrich - FD 4500 DK 4500 DFSTR 4100 These two guys instantly become part of your lineups and must starts. Each gets significant production boosts when D-Rose is shelved. Butler becomes a much bigger part of the offense and is relied on more his scoring. When Rose is in the lineup, as the creator, those opportunities just aren't there in the same volume for Jimmy Buckets. Meanwhile Hinrich is simply the starting point guard and seeing more than thirty minutes of run a night. This is invaluable at his prices and needs to do very little in order to pay off.   If Gasol plays/sits Taj Gibson - FD 5900 DK 5300 DFSTR 5800 Pau Gasol - FD 8600 DK 8200 DFSTR 7800 I'd say either becomes a near must-start depending on who is in the starting lineup. Last game when Pau sat, Taj played more than forty minutes and was a total beast. Pau makes a value play at his prices if he's in the starting lineup. Sacramento is below average against starting power forwards, allowing 10% more scoring that league average to the position. Opposing power forwards also rebound at about league average leaving opportunities for both of these guys to crash the boards. Obviously, if Gasol sits Taj allows for a ton of flexibility and if starting really should be a 100% play in cash games. Monitor this situation closely.  ...

And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baskeball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal.   Point Guard Tony Parker - FD 6900 DK 6800 Don't need a ton of explanation on this one, as the Sixers are just an awful squad that doesn't concern itself too terribly much with defense. They've spent a better part of this season allowing their opponents to score at will. And honestly, the only thing holding me back from all the Spurs tonight is that last point. Philly is always ripe for the blowout meaning the starters stand a chance to not see the fourth. Parker hasn't been scoring much of late which has killed his upside. The Sixers are a squad that rights a wrong like that. Just watch for the blowout. Kyrie Irving - FD 7900 DK 7900 I love when a slower team like Cleveland squares up with a speedy squad like the Nuggets. Guys like Kyrie (and really everyone else) stand to see significantly more possessions than normal and can get set to crush their prices on the volume alone. Kyrie has significant upside on a night basis if he gets the scoring going. For a point guard he doesn't offer the assists we'd like to see to raise his floor in cash games, but I like the matchup and the price isn't totally reflective of his skill set. Jrue Holiday - FD 7200 DK 7400 With Lillard carrying more of the load on offense with Batum out, there's reason to suspect Holiday is in a great place tonight. Lillard doesn't really play defense anyway and the Blazers allow about 12% more scoring than league average to opposing point guards. For his prices he actually seems safe tonight in the matchup. The game should remain close and be an up and down affair. Rajon Rondo - FD 8500 DK 8400 Pretty hard to not recommend a guy like Rondo in a game where the 4th and 6th fastest teams in the league square off. He makes the perfect cash game play considering his assists and rebounds appear locked in at this point. And when he actually scores watch out, because he can win you a GPP. I love pairing Rondo with one of the...

And make sure you check out our Week 11 NFL plays for FanDuel, DraftKings and Draftster.   Point Guard Stephen Curry - FD 9600 DK 10500 On a short slate, nailing the big money plays is an absolute must. There are a few different directions to go tonight, but the highest upside one by a mile has to be Steph against the flailing Lake-show. Curry is one of the safer big money options, generally speaking, simply due to having the ball in his hands so damned much. He's had a few rough nights recently, but this seems like an easy "get right" game going up against the Matador, Jeremy Lin. Look for Curry to have lots of great looks, and to be a huge cash game start. Jeremy Lin - FD 6000 DK 6200 Stack time! There are a lot of directions to go with PG2 tonight, and Lin is the clear cheap option. He's been playing ~35 minutes a game recently and seeing an uptick in usage with Kobe under the weather. Bryant is slated to return tonight, but I think the Warriors will give the Lin a little bit of room regardless of whether or not Kobe shows up. Lin/Curry seem like a great GPP stack, to me. Double up play: It's got to be Reggie Jackson. He just plays 40 minutes a night, and that kind of opportunity is quite literally match-up proof. Beverley is slated to play, which is the only thing that makes Jackson not a "must start" in all formats. If Beverley is out, however, upgrade Jackson to the top of this list.   Shooting Guard Anthony Morrow - FD 4100 DK 4100 Minutes, baby. Getting 31-36 minutes from a guy with chucker tendencies is a SICK deal at these prices. On such a short slate, Morrow is precisely the guy you can go cheap on to spend up elsewhere. Beverley will almost certainly be tracking Jackson (if he even plays), leaving Morrow to square off against the indifferent Harden. Harden's got a defensive gear when he wants one, but in a game that ought to be a mismatch, I doubt he'll kick...
