Point Guard Kyle Lowry - FD 9600 DK 10100 DFSTR 7900 Still going to be another game without Derozan and that’s always fantastic news for Lowry. The only real question on him isn’t the production, but rather the price. His price is way up there because he’s been the go-to guy for the Raptors for quite some time now. He gets a solid matchup with the Sixers of course, but this game could turn ugly quick. Factor that in, but in terms of raw projected points, Lowry is your man. Jeff Teague - FD 8300 DK 8500 DFSTR 6900 He rested last night, which was unfortunate as we were scrambling a bit to get in Dennis Schroeder in. But it wasn’t injury related and Teague has been a veritable monster in the short term. The Celtics haven’t been fantastic against point guards this season though some of that could be contributed to Rondo earlier in the season. Michael Carter-Williams - FD 8200 DK 8500 DFSTR 7500 His price has dropped in the short term because of some real bad performances. He’s had some truly horrific shooting games and his minutes took a little dip. But I like where the price has come to and even with a tougher matchup against Lowry, think you couldl separation with this type of play tonight. Monitor the Jrue Holiday situation as it could send some ripples down the Pelican lineup if he were to sit again. Also strongly consider Marcus Smart who seems rather locked in to 30 minutes a night. Shooting Guard Monta Ellis - FD 7500 DK 7300 DFSTR 8300 Going back to the well tonight with Ellis against Denver. Shooting guards have been a problem for the Nuggets this season as they are scoring close to 10% more points than league average against Denver. Ellis is in a solid situation here and even though he’s ball dominant, the points have still generally been there with Rondo around. Plus the price has dipped a little in the short term making him a solid value play at the position tonight. Joe Johnson - FD 6600 DK...

And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our basketball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal. Point Guard C.J. Watson - FD 4300 DK 4800 DFSTR 4300 A minutes and opportunity thing and basically nothing more. Watson is far from a great point guard of course. But he has the important thing going for him: minutes. With George Hill still out Watson is seeing more than thirty minutes a night and is coming in a very reasonable/ punt prices. The T-Wolves are allowing 10% more scoring than league average to point guards. Watson can score of course and I think you are getting very safe money in with him tonight. Mo Williams - FD 5500 DK 5400 DFSTR 4800 On the other side of the ball, this game is all about the cheap point guards. When Williams is playing of late, he is the clear point and getting more than thirty minutes. The Pacers have actually not defended the point guard position well this season which isn't surprising considering they've been without Hill (and a lot of other guys) for a better part of the season. Jeff Teague - FD 8300 DK 8500 DFSTR 6900 If you want to spend up a little Teague makes a fantastic play as well. He's been remarkably consistent with big time fantasy production of late and that should continue tonight against the Sixers. It should be said that Philly has allowed better than league average scoring to opposing point guards, but the pace of this one should be more than enough to give Teague a higher floor. Consider Tony Wroten. Also Kyrie Irving gets an obvious bump if Lebron sits again. Shooting Guard Kyle Korver - FD 5200 DK 5000 DFSTR 5100 Because of the price, minutes and matchup, Korver will undoubtedly be a high percentage start in the industry tonight. I honestly don't think he's the safest play in the whole world simply because he's prone to some rougher shooting nights and when the three isn't dropping he has a tough time paying. But as I said with Teague (and some other Hawks as you...

Point Guard Derrick Rose - FD 6500 DK 6400 DFSTR 6100 Kirk Hinrich - FD 3700 DK 3700 DFSTR 3700 Aaron Brooks - FD 4100 DK 3800 DFSTR 4100 Here's the deal. I'm obviously not picking them all together. That would be lunacy I tells ya! But what I am doing is targeting whoever is playing the big minutes for the Bulls at the point tonight. If Rose is cleared to play (I really don't think he will be) then I'd be more than willing to get some shares of him at his price. If he sits, then Hinrich and Brooks will see bumps in minutes and the Magic are just a brutal defensive team. Opposing point guards have burned them all season. Monitor this situation closely and if you think Hinrich sees the kind of minutes he did the other night then he becomes a fantastic play at the near minimums. Jrue Holiday - FD 8000 DK 7700 DFSTR 7000 He plays big minutes and the price has come up a bit in the short term thanks to some solid games he's put together. But even with the inflated salaries you can throw him in there against the Celtics who play at a fast pace and allow tons of points to opposing point guards. Some of those season averages come with Rondo of course, but their style dictates the other team garnering more possessions. Holiday seems to have a higher floor in this one. Consider Elfrid Payton but the minutes can be scary. Shooting Guard James Harden - FD 10700 DK 10500 DFSTR 9200 The way the money is looking like it will shake out today, I think it's completely in play to have both Harden and Anthony Davis in your lineups without too much in the way of sacrifice elsewhere. Harden's overall scoring is down a little bit lately but that could be viewed as a combo deal of either blowouts/ poor shooting nights. He is still more than capable of putting up...

And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our basketball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal. --- It's a super-short slate tonight with only two games on the docket. That's probably a good thing after the clusterf@#% that occurred last night with Waiters, and to a lesser extent J.R. Smith. Both were traded after lineups locked and Waiters especially had an impact. He was a high ownership play (your humble writer included who had him on 100% of his FanDuel lineups). But this is the thing with DFS. You play long enough and these things will happen. Sometimes for you, sometimes against. It's an operative lesson in bankroll managements, eggs and baskets and whatnot. With so few games going, I'm just going to highlight some interesting plays rather than go position-by-position. Top End Value Tim Duncan - FD 8700 DK 9100 DFSTR 8300 He's probably the safest guy on a dicey short slate. There are a lot of question marks going into this one. Will Parker play? What will the Piston rotations look like? Or the Bucks for that matter? The Spurs, after a couple of days off should be able to give Duncan a full run of his minutes. Granted, they could destroy the Pistons, but I'm not sure you can sweat that too much with so few games going. I'll have him in all of my cash games because he should be able to do work on Monroe and company down low. The tag doesn't completely break the bank though I should mention that he probably doesn't have oodles of upside either. Greg Monroe - FD 6300 DK 7100 DFSTR 6400 The minutes seem anything but secure, and yet the matchup against the Spurs is fine enough considering the price. It if he can creep to thirty minutes (nothing close to a guarantee) then he is by far the best points/$ play on the board today in his price range (and maybe overall). The FanDuel price hasn't corrected enough for life with Smoove, but SVG just doesn't play favorites here. Monroe can sit for long stretches and that scares the...

While you are spending your day sleeping it off, or wondering what exactly happened last night. We are here to give you the NBA plays you are jones-ing for. Since there are only two games on the docket today, I'm not going to break down this thing position by position. Instead, I'll give just a brief overview of some of our system's value plays. Enjoy a day of Advil, water, college football, and NBA. Big Money Plays Pau Gasol - FD 8600 DK 8900 He's facing a Denver front court that defends a lot like you did last night when you didn't want to do that fifth shot, but really couldn't help yourself and all of a sudden you're allowing yet another Jager Bomb down the gullet. Something like that. The Nuggets are allowing about 10% more than league average scoring to opposing power forwards. Gasol is a lock for his minutes (as are most of the Bulls ) and should have his way down low. He will be in 100% of my lineups barring some weird issue as he represents the safest way to get big money in on this short slate. DeMarcus Cousins - FD 10800 DK 11100 Gorgui Dieng is no defender. And isn't particularly good on offender either but that's not what we care about with Boogie. No instead, we are looking at how the Timberwolves take care of opposing centers. The short answer is: they don't. They get crushed, especially in the scoring department and are going to have real problems with the Boogie man today. Cousins is one of the elite offensive centers in the game and hasn't shown much ill effect of sitting for sickness all the those games. He, like Gasol, will be how I'm getting on...
