And check out our NFL Week 12 picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Draftster In many ways this slate in the NBA is no different from any other in that there are a number of question marks going into the games. The big difference here is that there are three pieces of information that are critical to making lineups. And without all three it is very difficult to get a sense of how these picks will shape up. Those three things are the health of Dwayne Wade, Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol. What happens with these three guys is basically the key to determining how you approach the slate. Let's examine:   If Rose sits Jimmy Butler - FD 7700 DK 7600 DFSTR 5700 Kirk Hinrich - FD 4500 DK 4500 DFSTR 4100 These two guys instantly become part of your lineups and must starts. Each gets significant production boosts when D-Rose is shelved. Butler becomes a much bigger part of the offense and is relied on more his scoring. When Rose is in the lineup, as the creator, those opportunities just aren't there in the same volume for Jimmy Buckets. Meanwhile Hinrich is simply the starting point guard and seeing more than thirty minutes of run a night. This is invaluable at his prices and needs to do very little in order to pay off.   If Gasol plays/sits Taj Gibson - FD 5900 DK 5300 DFSTR 5800 Pau Gasol - FD 8600 DK 8200 DFSTR 7800 I'd say either becomes a near must-start depending on who is in the starting lineup. Last game when Pau sat, Taj played more than forty minutes and was a total beast. Pau makes a value play at his prices if he's in the starting lineup. Sacramento is below average against starting power forwards, allowing 10% more scoring that league average to the position. Opposing power forwards also rebound at about league average leaving opportunities for both of these guys to crash the boards. Obviously, if Gasol sits Taj allows for a ton of flexibility and if starting really should be a 100% play in cash games. Monitor this situation closely.  ...

Sick deal.   Point Guard Reggie Jackson - FD 8000 DK 8400 DFSTR 6300 He struggled yesterday but he remains one of the few offensive options on the Thunder and I'm happy to pay up for the guy considering how critical he is to the team they are throwing out there on the court. Of course there's the piece about teams traveling to the thin air of Denver. But the Nuggets play one of the fastest paces in the league which should lead to more opportunity for Jackson. And because he contributes in a variety of ways, I think you are just fine playing him even as the price has climbed. Rajon Rondo - FD 8900 DK 8800 DFSTR 6700 Our system actually doesn't love him against Philly tonight, which I found surprising. One reason stems from the Sixers being significantly better against opposing point guards this season, allowing 6% less than league average scoring against the position. But Rondo has upside at these prices as this thing should be a track meet. The Sixers and Celtics rank second and third in the league in PACE and I suspect the tempo to be upbeat to say the least. Rondo doesn't score as much as you'd like, but man he does everything else better than almost any other point guard out there. Brandon Jennings - FD 7100 DK 7300 DFSTR 6500 If you want to shoot a little upside you can target Jennings against the Suns. It looks like Jennings isn't going to split a ton of minutes out of the point guard slot like he was at times at the beginning of the year. And Phoenix allows a ton of scoring to opposing point guards. He isn't safe by any means, but Jennings could light it up tonight. Keep an eye on Devin Harris' status because if he doesn't play then J.J. Barea becomes a real interesting option if his minutes took an uptick.   Shooting Guard James Harden - FD 10100 DK 10300 DFSTR 8800 This one is rather obvious. What's interesting about the matchup against the Lakers is that LA as found a way to stay in these...

And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baskeball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal.   Point Guard The top four guys are really close for me tonight. You can almost slot them in based on what you need with salary elsewhere and I wouldn't have an issue with it. Jeff Teague - FD 7100 DK 7000 Short slate and there's no reason to fade the Hawks against the Lakers. They are just in too juicy a spot with Teague hopefully leading the charge. Teague turns in clunkers for sure. And his inability to find a ton of consistency on a night-to-night basis is what's kept his salaries in check. Tonight is one of those nights he hits value or more. And he might even be able to do it in a blowout. The Lakers are allowing 30% (!) more points that league average to opposing point guards. Probably the only thing you need to know here. Reggie Jackson - FD 8000 DK 8500 Hard to really not play him if you need safe points on a given night. He's averaging an insane 41.4 minutes per game (includes a double OT) and really is doing everything for the Thunder while Westbrook and Durant are shelved. That he can get his points in every conceivable way beside blocks makes the case even stronger as you can weather a bad shooting night from the guy. The Jazz aren't an ideal opponent but I'd probably consider him against anyone on the short slate. He is just too much of the Thunder offense right now. Strongly consider Darren Collison as he probably deserved his own write up. Shooting Guard Thabo Sefolosha - FD 3800 DK 3200 This one is only if Demarre Carroll sits again. But if he does, Thabo makes an easy call in the SG position. He's paying this price if he's in the starting lineup and getting decent minutes for punt prices is really the name of the game in NBA DFS. If he can get you double digit points with a few boards thrown in then you are kind of home free on the guy. Again, this is only if Carroll is out again, but as of post he was doubtful. Kyle Korver -...

And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baskeball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal. And make sure you check out our Week 11 NFL plays for FanDuel, DraftKings and Draftster.   Point Guard Stephen Curry - FD 9600 DK 10500 On a short slate, nailing the big money plays is an absolute must. There are a few different directions to go tonight, but the highest upside one by a mile has to be Steph against the flailing Lake-show. Curry is one of the safer big money options, generally speaking, simply due to having the ball in his hands so damned much. He's had a few rough nights recently, but this seems like an easy "get right" game going up against the Matador, Jeremy Lin. Look for Curry to have lots of great looks, and to be a huge cash game start. Jeremy Lin - FD 6000 DK 6200 Stack time! There are a lot of directions to go with PG2 tonight, and Lin is the clear cheap option. He's been playing ~35 minutes a game recently and seeing an uptick in usage with Kobe under the weather. Bryant is slated to return tonight, but I think the Warriors will give the Lin a little bit of room regardless of whether or not Kobe shows up. Lin/Curry seem like a great GPP stack, to me. Double up play: It's got to be Reggie Jackson. He just plays 40 minutes a night, and that kind of opportunity is quite literally match-up proof. Beverley is slated to play, which is the only thing that makes Jackson not a "must start" in all formats. If Beverley is out, however, upgrade Jackson to the top of this list.   Shooting Guard Anthony Morrow - FD 4100 DK 4100 Minutes, baby. Getting 31-36 minutes from a guy with chucker tendencies is a SICK deal at these prices. On such a short slate, Morrow is precisely the guy you can go cheap on to spend up elsewhere. Beverley will almost certainly be tracking Jackson (if he even plays), leaving Morrow to square off against the indifferent Harden. Harden's got a defensive gear when he wants one, but in a game that ought to be a mismatch, I doubt he'll kick...

And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baskeball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal.   Point Guard Donald Sloan - FD 5700 DK 4900 Sloan is a guy whose price will absolutely climb by the time this week is over. He's been producing very consistently on this number, and the Pacers injuries only continue to mount. While he's got 2 stinkers, he's paid 5x (or more) during every other game this season. With Hibbert hobbled, Sloan will likely see his usage rate only continue to increase, and I love his match-up against the under-sized Trey Burke. Jrue Holiday - FD 7400 DK 7300 Our projection system can't quit you, Jrue Holiday. We ignored it (to our own peril) Jrue's last time around, but we won't make the same mistake this time. Holiday's 15/11 with 3 steals against the Spurs is exactly the kind of line Holiday will produce when he's getting minutes against a less than stellar defender, and Irving is just that. There's no way Kyrie stays in front of him, and Holiday should be able to get his teammates into great position early and often. Kyrie Irving - FD 7400 DK 7400 The price is swirling down the toilet for Kyrie, who has struggled to deliver premium fantasy value this year. Let's have a look deeper and figure out what's going on. Both his FG% and 3PT% are down, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense considering the spacing the Cavs are capable of on the offensive side of the ball. Both of those will climb. Even more curiously, his assists and rebounds and both randomly down, in spite of a 13% increase in minutes. Not sustainable. We're getting into "too good to pass up" territory for Kyrie's price, and taking him against New Orleans (23rd against the PG last year in FPs allowed) is looking pretty tempting. It likes him in this...
