The Rockies host the Diamondbacks in Coors Field tonight and both teams are forecasted for the top two run totals on the night (Colorado at 6.1, Arizona at 5.5) and as is always the case with a Coors weekend both are in consideration for tournament stacking, either separately, or as a whole game stack. Both teams send southpaws to the hill tonight, Patrick Corbin for the DBacks, is 2-3 through 6 starts this season walking 2.8 batters per 9 and he's allowing a .326 wOBA against right handed hitters. This is good news for the righty heavy lineup the Rockies will sens to the plate, featuring the likes of DJ LeMahieu, Nolan Arenado, Mark Reynolds and Trevor Story. Charlie Blackmon hits from the other side of the plate, but lead off in Coors can't be ignored simply due to handedness. On the other side we have Tyler Anderson Colorado'l left handed arm and we know that means big things for the Diamondbacks and Paul Goldschmidt who crush left handed pitchers. Anderson's off to a tough start to his 2017 campaign with a 1-3 record through 6 starts this season allowing 2.67 HR/9 and a .411 wOBA against right handed bats. 6 of his 9 home runs allowed have come from the right side of the plate which is good news for not just GOldy, but A.J. Pollock, Chris Owings, and Yasmany Thomas. Jeremy Lamb is also in play in the cleanup spot. Vegas, is giving the edge to the Rockies here, but I'm liking Arizona more and more Baltimore Orioles If you read the picks article, you know the system loves the Orioles tonight, and I am equally enamored. The Orioles have the highest implied run total outside of Coors at 5.5 and have the pleasure of going up tonight against Dylan Covey. The rookie right hander is 0-2 through 4 starts and his nubers have been anything but impressive. he's only striking out 3.43 batters per nine, but is walking 4.29 per. He's sporting a 7.29 ERA...

We've got you completely covered. Pitcher Clayton Kershaw FD 12300 DK 14200 Opponent - SD (Richard) Park - @LAD FD - 42.15 DK - 27.71 I had written up my pitchers with the theme of cheap arms, since the highest priced pitcher on FanDuel was less than 10K, and the ones on DraftKings that were over 10K weren't necessarily worth paying up for, then the Dodgers went and swapped Kershaw and Brandon McCarthy in the rotation. We had originally targeted McCarthy as the third pitcher for today in a good spot against the Padres, so that speaks volumes to just how good a play Kershaw is. Kershaw is basically a must play in cash games every time he steps to the rubber, today however it's amplified by how tremendously bad the Padres are at the plate. The Padres have the third worst team wOBA in baseball (.287) and the third highest K% at 24.5%. As if that's not bad enough the numbers get even worse when you consider the split, against southpaws the Padres have a collective wOBA of .256 with a .118 ISO. They strikeout slightly less against lefties, but that's insignifcant in the grand scheme of things. This is Kershaw against the Padres. That's all that really needs be said. Jake Odorizzi FD 7500 DK 7900 Opponent - TOR (Estrada) Park - @TBFD - 32.37 DK - 21.3 From a points per dollar perspective, Jake Odorizzi comes in our projection system head and shoulders above the rest. Odorizzi comes into today with a 1-1 record, recently returned from a left hamstring strain with a career 3.74 ERA, .276 BABIP striking out 8.22 batters per nine and will take the hill against the Blue Jays. Here we are, a month in to the season, and still waiting to see if the Jays can break out of their funk and play some winning basball. They carry the second worst team wOBA in the American League (.294) which dips to .287 against right handed arms and strike out 22.6% of the time. Odorizzi has had some trouble with the long ball early on, allowing 2 HR/9 but against Toronto, I'm not too worried. This game falls in the three game early slate and I'll have a ton of Odorizzi in...

We've got you completely covered. Cleveland Indians The tribe have split their first two games this weekend with the Mariners, just edging past them 4-3 last night. They go for the series win today against rookie Chase De Jong. De Jong was called up when King Felix found himself on the DL and will make his first big league start today. in 4.2 innings out of the bullpen He's allowed 3 runs off of 3 hits and 3 walks, all three runs coming off a George Springer blast. His numbers in the minors don't suggest Seattle should expect much out of him against a team like Cleveland. Last season he had a 3.68 FIP in 25 AA starts, and was up to 5.58 in two AAA starts this season, with less than impressive strikeout rates. Vegas projects the Indians bats for the highest run total of the day and I'd put the top two thirds of their lineup (Carlos Santana, Francisco Lindor, Michael Brantley, Edwin Encarnacion, Jose Ramirez, and Jason Kipnis) clearly in play today. Cleveland is sporting a .326 team wOBA, with a .331 OBP. They've gone long 28 times this season and are walking 10.3% of the time. St Louis Cardinals The Cardinals and Reds had the second game of the series postponed yesterday due to weather. Light rain is still in the forecast for today, but you have to think with the early start they're going to do all they can to get today's match in. The Cards won the game Friday night, and will look to close out with another win today against Bronson Arroyo. The 40 year old is 2-2 through his first two starts to the season, allowing 13 runs over his first two starts, and 5 runs over his second two. I suspect the true Arroyo lies somewhere in between. St. Louis rocked him in his 2017 debut for 6 runs, chasing him out after just 4 innings. They'll come at him hard today from the right side of the plate where he's allowing a .451 wOBA to start off the season, which they'll exploit with their...

We've got you completely covered. Arizona Diamondbacks The Diamondbacks were in this spot yesterday, and true to what Brent said, if they're in a hitter friendly park against a southpaw, they will be back, so here we are a day later. The Rockies will send another lefty to the hill tonight in the form of Tyler Anderson, and while the DBacks didn't deliver quite as we would hope last night with only 2 of their starting 8 contributing double digit FanDuel points, we have to acknowledge their being right back in play today. Anderson comes in with a 1-3 record through 5 starts this season, which is not surprising as it's tough to pick up a win when you're only averaging 5 innings per start. He's allowing 2.13 HR/9 and though only 2 of his long balls allowed have come outside of Coors, the park similarities here make this almost like a Coors game. He's also holding a 4.09 xFIP this season and his wOBA (.408) against righties is something to behold. For Arizona's half of the deal Brent covered the Lefty bashing they're capable of yesterday. Dating back to last season Yasmany Tomas and Paul Goldschmidt are sporting a .420 and .432 wOBA respectively with A.J. Pollock, and Chris Owings not far behind at .355 each. Despite the fact that Tomas went 0for at the plate last night, that wOBA and his price, especially on FanDuel will have me right back at it tonight with Goldy, Pollock and Owings. Chicago Cubs The Cubbies continue their interleague series with the Red Sox in Fenway. Today they step in to the box to face Steven Wright. Wright has been extremely inconsistent to start the season, going a combined total of 5 inning in two starts where he got rocked by the Orioles. While his other two starts were slightly more productive, there is plenty we can exploit on Wright. While he struck out a respectable 7.3/9 last season, to date this year, he's only getting K's at a 4.58 clip per 9, while allowing a .468 wOBA to left handed batters which jumps to an...

We've got you completely covered. Pitchers Danny Salazar FD 10100 DK 9800 Opponent - SEA (Gallardo) Park - @CLEFD - 33.46 DK - 22.09 If you're looking to fade off of Stephen Strasburg in the early slate there are plenty of options worth considering, at the top of the list in Danny Salazar. Salazar is off to a strong start to the 2017 campaign. He got roughed up a little by the White Sox last time out, allowing four runs in 5 innings, off of 7 hits and three walks. His 14.29 K/9 is the best in the American League. My primary concern with Salazar lies in his control as his 10.9 BB% is the highest in the AL, however in our favor is the fact that the Mariners as a whole only walk 9.9% of the time, so their impatience could benefit us greatly here. The Mariners have combined for 23 home runs this season, but with the wind forecasted to blow in at 9mph, Salazar should be able to keep them in the yard. I see Strasburg being the cash play of the day, but if you want to go a different way in a tournament, you could do worse than Danny Salazar. Michael Pineda FD 8700 DK 10100 Opponent - BAL (Jimenez) Park - @NYYFD - 32.49 DK - 21.4 Another option on the early is Michael Pineda. Pineda's K/9 isn't on the level of Salazar's, but it comes awfully close at 11.19. He's rocking a 2.32 xFIP, and has a .319 wOBA against left handed bats, which drops to .263 against righties. The wind at Yankee Stadium is expected to be blowing directly out at a crisp 8mph, so that presents some concern with the Orioles power hitters, but the upside lies in the Baltimore 22.3% K Rate which is sixth highest in the AL. Baltimore is projected for only 3.7 runs, and they're trotting Ubaldo Jimenez out there. He got rocked by the Yankees once already this season, so is Pineda can keep the ball in play, and limit the runs the win should be a given. I prefer Salazar,...
