We've got you completely covered. Cleveland Indians Admittedly, I'm riding the hot hands here today, rolling with two teams that just don't seem to know how to lose, but it goes a bit further than that in both cases, and for good measure I'll throw you a curveball at the end. Kicking things off though, we have the Cleveland Indians. The Indians have been on an absolute tear down the stretch, now winners of 15 straight. You have to travel back two weeks and through two double headers to find the last time Cleveland took an "L". It takes more than just a ridiculous win streak to be a stack worthy DFS team though, and the Tribe have what it takes. First off, the matchup is quite favorable. Baltimore comes to town for the weekend and bring left-hander Wade Miley along with them. Cleveland has been awesome against southpaws this season possessing a .341 team wOBA and a 109 wRC+ against them. Bringing his 4.91 ERA and 4.56 xFIP to the hill today, Miley stands out as a prime target for his 17.5 hr/fb% and 5.10 bb/9. I'll put the whole order, 1 through 9 in play but the keys to build around will be Jose Ramirez (.379 wOBA vs left handers) and Francisco Lindor (10 HR, .220 ISO vs Left handers). Top stacking options: Jose Ramirez, Francisco Lindor, Austin Jackson, Edwin Encarnacion Arizona Diamondbacks Another team getting hot at the right time is the Arizona Diamondbacks. The DBacks are currently riding a 13 game win streak, and will look to keep the streak alive after taking Thursday off to travel home to host the Padres for a weekend series. San Diego will trot Jordan Lyles out to the hill. Lyles has been primarily a bullpen arm for the past two seasons, and will make only his second start of the season tonight in Chase Field. Lyles holds a 22% HR/FB rate and has been atrocious against left handed hitting this season with a .424 wOBA against and a 42.5% hard contact rate. That is going to spell big trouble in the...

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 9/2/17

Daily Fantasy MLB Baseball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 9/2/17 Welcome friends. The unofficial last weekend of summer is upon us. The pennant chases are heating up for some teams while others are calling up young studs to get an idea what they have to work with next season. Today our cup runneth over with a jam packed 17(!!!) games of MLB action to satisfy your DFS needs. We've got double header action in Houston and San Diego and just to keep us on our toes pricing on DraftKings changes for players based on the slate. We've got aces galore sprinkled throughout the day, with plenty of the usual suspects in good spots at the plate, so what are we still doing up here? Let's move on down to the picks!! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. Pitcher EARLY Corey Kluber FD 11300 DK 13200 Opponent - DET (Zimmermann) Park - @DETFD - 47.89 DK - 31.75 He's going to cost you, but for the implied safety it's worth it. On the early slate no one comes close to Corey Kluber who would have been in play regardless just based on what he has done so far this season, but now add in the fact that he is facing a Tigers team that has thrown up the white flag on the season, trading away the only real threat in their lineup. Kluber was rolling along since his return from the DL in early June, racking up the K's start after start, though he's cooled off some in August, recording double digit strikeouts just once in his last four starts. The Tigers are an average offense, striking out 21.4% of the time, with a .325 wOBA and 100 wRC+, and those numbers are with Upton in the lineup. The early rumblings from Vegas have the Indians as -301 favorites today, with those odds, and his propensity to stick around late into games, Kluber's all but guaranteed a win and is the top play in the six game early slate. Charlie Morton FD 8500 DK 9100 Opponent - NYM (Harvey) Park - @HOUFD - 36.15 DK - 23.72 If you're one of those "the price is just too high" types, and I don't fault you if you are, then look to Charlie Morton in game one of the double header...

We've got you completely covered. Pitcher Chris Archer FD 10100 DK 12300 Opponent - STL (Lynn) Park - @STLFD - 34.69 DK - 23.12 Welcome friends to Sunday DFS in the MLB. We've got a full day of action with 11 games starting early and four late afternoon contests. We're going to start things off with Chris Archer in St. Louis for the interleague series wrap up with the Cardinals. Archer is a name we don't always consider when talking about the great arms of today's game, in an era with Kershaw, Sale, and Scherzer, he has the stuff to be one of the better pitcher's in the game, but struggles from time to time and it's reflected in his 3.76 ERA and .319 BABIP. What Archer does have that suits our purposes is elite K upside. His 11.33 K/9 is the fourth best in the game and the best going today by far. The Cardinals are a top ten team in terms of wOBA and strike out a league average 21.6% of the time. This game opened as a pick'em so there's no guarantee of a win, but looking down the list of pitchers there's not a whole lot to love from a safety standpoint, so I'll take the K upside all day with Archer. Dan Straily FD 7900 DK 8000 Opponent - SD (Richard) Park - @MIAFD - 32.68 DK - 21.6 At SP2 I'm looking to Dan Strailey whose matchup with the Padres has him as a mid tiered arm with solid point per dollar upside due to their propensity to strikeout 25.3% of the time, second only to the Brewers, and .300 team wOBA which is second worst only to the Giants. Strailey doesn't fill me with confidence, his ERA is higher than Archer's, but on any given day the Padres can make anyone look like Cy Young. As I said, there isn't a whole lot to love about pitching today, it definitely has the feel of a GPP only kind of day, but if you are looking for cash plays in the early going this is where I'm leaning. Yu Darvish FD 9800 DK 13300 Opponent - MIL (Nelson) Park - @LADFD - 40.02 DK - 26.34 In the late afternoon we...

We've got you completely covered. Pitcher Early Gio Gonzalez FD 9500 DK 12500 Opponent - NYM (Gsellman) Park - @WSHFD - 34.31 DK - 22.49 We kick things off with Gio Gonzalez, though somewhat reluctantly. Not so much on FanDuel, I'm fine with Gio carrying a sub 10K price tag over there, but the season high 12.5 on DraftKings is a hard pill to swallow. Given the slate though, it's all but unavoidable. We need two pitchers, and Gio is in the best position facing the Mets, who have the lowest implied run total on the early slate and who have struck out 24.6% of the time against lefties this season. While not an ideal pitching environment, Nationals Park is the second best option on the slate behind the Rogers Centre and we'll be heading there next but for SP1 on the early, I think we have to just ride with Gonzalez and hold on tight. Marco Estrada FD 7700 DK 6900 Opponent - MIN (Gee) Park - @TORFD - 29.76 DK - 19.78 Even with the price tag Gonzalez comes with, I think we can lock him in without sacrificing too much in the way of bats by balancing out our pitching with Marco Estrada. Estrada is an excellent value option across the industry, with solid K upside, his 9.1 K/9 is higher than even Gio's, and as I mentioned earlier, he is on the best hill for pitching in a slate overrun with hitters parks. Estrada is an excellent GPP pivot on FanDuel, and also leaves $3,825 per batter on DraftKings when paired with Gonzalez, which isn't a ton but definitely gives us some wiggle room. Main Mike Clevinger FD 8200 DK 6700 Opponent - KC (Hammel) Park - @CLEFD - 27.76 DK - 18.42 On the main slate, we're going to look at a couple of pitchers that are ranked quite similarly in the system. Madison Bumgarner edges out Mike Clevinger in projected points, but I'm leading off with Clevinger because he comes at a substantial discount which gives him the points per dollar edge. Clevinger also has a higher K/9 than MadBum and is a bigger favorite in his matchup with the Royals at Progressive Field, a team with a .316 wOBA that...

We've got you completely covered. Pitcher Max Scherzer FD 11800 DK 14000 Opponent - SF (Samardzija) Park - @WSHFD - 44.18 DK - 29.18 Looking at the Saturday pitcher pool on Friday night there are three standouts as clear favorites in the eyes of Vegas, and we will give each his due in this spot. We begin where we tend to every five days or so with Max Scherzer of the Nationals against the Giants in the Distrct of Columbia. What more is there to say about Mad Max? Pick any relevant pitching statistic and look at the top three and you will invariably see Scherzer listed right along with Sale and Kluber. Of course the price is hard to swallow and certainly forces us to look for bargain plays at nearly every offensive position, but in cash games it's hard to go wrong with Scherzer. Short of neck spasms, you can pretty much guarantee 6+ innings, a minimum of 8 K's and usually 3 earned runs at the most, when rostering Max and today he gets the added bonus of facing off with the Giants who have the worst team wOBA in baseball of .293. Scherzer is strictly a cash play between the price and the fact that as bad as the Giants may be, they do not K all too often but as cash plays go he leads the pack. So, now it seems Max was pushed to Sunday, $#@!$ weather! The next two guys remain top plays, and for a few more options check the starting pitcher spotlight here. Carlos Martinez FD 9200 DK 11200 Opponent - ATL (Sims) Park - @STLFD - 39.19 DK - 25.83 Next up, we have Carlos Martinez. Martinez and the Cardinals open as -250 home favorites against Atlanta. The Braves may not be the Giants, but they are a bottom five offense, particularly against right handed pitching where they sport a .307 team wOBA. Also like the Giants, Atlanta doesn't strike out often, only 19.6% of the time, again, hurting potential upside. At a significant discount compared to Scherzer however, I wouldn't rule Martinez out of a tournament line up though I do like him more as a cash game pivot, if there are pricier bats you just have to...
