Pitchers Stephen Strasburg - FD 10700 DK 13100 DD 21300 DFSTR 11100 Sale is my 2nd favorite big money pitcher, but he's a far cry from Strasburg's value today. If you want to go against the grain, though, here's the case. The Yanks are tough to strike out, but Sale's 158 Ks in 136 IP means it doesn’t really matter if you strike out or not, chances are good you are going to at some point against him. The Yankees are also the 2nd lowest scoring team in the AL, meaning this could be a nice long outing, and all of their best hitters prefer right handed pitching. So there's that. Also considered: Tentatively, Jered Weaver Catchers Wilin Rosario - FD 3100 DK 3700 DD 7700 DFSTR 3500 Rosario has been on a horrific bender for a while, but most of that damage is against righties. He's still crushed left handed pitching for a .404 wOBA this year, and Brad Hand's 48 Ks and 32 BBs in 79 IP aren't going to fly under Colorado skies. Miguel Montero - FD 2400 DK 3400 DD 8300 DFSTR 5500 The price has bottomed out for Montero, mark my words. Our projection system has been asking us to trot him out there with great frequency, and if you followed the picks I wrote on Thursday night, it paid off with a monster night on a near minimum salary. While Kennedy is a much tougher pitcher, the price still remains a joke, just not so much a joke that it can unseat Rosario against a terrible lefty at home. Wilson Ramos - FD 2900 DK 3800 DD 8950 DFSTR 4800 Give me either of the two guys above, but if you're in the mood for safety, Ramos might be your guy. He's a high batting average guy for the position, and Vogelsong allows a lot of contact. I'm picturing solid, but unspectacular. First Basemen Jose Abreu - FD 3800 DK 5000 DD 12450 DFSTR 9700 I mean, I know I only write the picks 2 nights a week, but this is somehow...

Total Bases Giancarlo Stanton Doug said it well enough yesterday, so why reinvent the wheel? When Stanton's in Coors, he's still the man. And he's facing a dude who can't pitch. From Doug: "No surprise here really. Stanton's having an incredible season posting a .970 OPS and that .267 ISO remains one of the elite numbers in the whole game. One of the big breakthroughs for him this year is his success against righty pitching as his 153 wRC+ and .395 wOBA show a dude seeing things pretty well in that side of the split. He's playing in Coors which as we all know has paper thin air and allows balls to travel out with alarming regularity. Don't like him as much as yesterday, but he's still the total bases favorite in the evening slate. Nolan Arenado On the other side of the diamond stands young Nolan Arenado, who has blossomed into a terrific hitter this year. His career .384 wOBA against left handed pitching is dynamite, and he'll eat Brad Hand and his 48 Ks against 32 BBs in 78 innings for lunch in the thin Coors air. Hits Scooter Gennett The Scoot Man! A terrific hits play on most days due to the excellent batting average and the lack of walks, but a terrific play against the pitch to contact Vance Worley. Gennett is a total train wreck against left handed pitching, but he's truly elite against righties - posting a .342 batting average and a .387 wOBA. Jose Altuve Altuve is my favorite hits play on most days, but he gets dinged a little due to Bauer's K rate this season. Still! You have to love him against...

And try out our partner ScoreStreak and our exclusive exclusive ScoreStreak picks. Pitchers Zack Greinke - FD 9700 DK 10800 DD 19450 DFSTR 8700 Seems a pretty simple play really. Greinke's having a great year, looking very much like the pitcher he was a few season's ago during his Cy Young run. He's striking out close to ten batters per nine and his 2.65 xFIP is right in line with his minuscule ERA. He's a heavy favorite against the Mets today who rank 27th in the league against righty pitching. They strike out more than 20% of the time against righties and are just generally bad. Greinke will be a popular cash game play across the industry and it's tough to find many reasons to fade him. Danny Salazar - FD 7000 DK 7200 DD 13700 DFSTR 6400 If you enjoy playing with fire, then consider your pyromaniac ways with this guy. What's to like? Salazar has big time strike out stuff and can rack them up real quick. He K's more than 9.5 batters per nine and can look awesome for short stretches. The operative word there is "short". He'll be facing a squad in the Astros that strike out the second most in the league against righties at an insane 23.1% clip. The problem with Salazar is consistency. He will look awesome and then "that inning" happens and the wheels come completely off. You saw what Carrasco did to the Astros yesterday so the upside is there for Salazar, but it's so risky. Catchers Miguel Montero - FD 2400 DK 3400 DD 8200 DFSTR 3000 Went yard last night (one of our picks, so phew) and is in another solid spot today against Cashner. Cashner is better than Despaigne by a wide margin, but he isn't an elite pitcher. I tend to think he's a bit overrated. Chase Field favors lefty power and Montero can really only be considered when facing righties. But his numbers in that split are strong and the DBacks running a little light in hitting, he's stuck in the middle of the order. Liking his prices all around. Derek Norris - FD...

Pitchers Jordan Zimmermann - FD 8500 DK 9600 DD 17350 DFSTR 6900 The pitching in the early slate is rough to say the least. I'm going to go safe as possible in cash games with Zimmermann. His peripherals this season have been outstanding with around a 5.5:1 K:BB ratio that keeps him around in games late. He's gone into the seventh in his last five starts and today faces a Giants squad coming in the bottom half of the league in team wOBA against righties. I wouldn't consider Zimmermann a sure thing, but his control has him in ballgames and the Nats are favorite today for the win (though not huge ones). Hiroki Kuroda - FD 6900 DK 7400 DD 12850 DFSTR 5200 It feels real gross, but he's the favorite to get the win with Scott Carroll on the bump for the White Sox. He's not going to light the world on fire, but at his prices it doesn't seem like he'd completely sink the ship either. The White Sox are a decent hitting team, but they're prone to K as they go down on strikes 22% of the time against righties. There's risk here for sure, but on a slate of garbage arms I'll take the guy with the control and hope for the best. Consider Tim Lincecum if you want to shoot K's, though he could get bombed. Catchers Brian McCann - FD 2900 DK 3800 DD 7950 DFSTR 7500 Going to be picking on Scott Carroll a lot in this early slate. Why? Because he's garbage, that's why. He strikes out less than five batters per nine and walks close to four. McCann's season's been pretty forgettable, but a .216 Babip will do that to most anyone. Luck hasn't been on his side this season, but it's hard to avoid him in this early slate of games considering the prices, park and matchup. Consider going even cheaper with Alex Avila First Basemen Mark Teixeira - FD 2800 DK 3900 DD 8850 DFSTR 3900 Like I said, let's get all over Scott...

He's playing in Coors which as we all know has paper thin air and allows balls to travel out with alarming regularity. Don't like him as much as yesterday, but he's still the total bases favorite in the evening slate. Marcel Ozuna Digging a little deeper here. Of would have been had he not put on a show last night in Coors. He won some folks (us) some cash for sure as his eighth inning grand slam really sealed the deal. I'm will to buy him for total bases again even on the wrong side of his split because the ballpark just boosts everything everywhere. Jordan Lyles isn't as trashy as Franklin Morales, and does generate some groundballs. But overall this is a good place to keep targeting Coors. Hits Ben Revere Very quietly Ben Revere has amasses one million hits this season. He's among the league leaders in the category thanks to a low K rate and and even lower walk rate. This guy hates free things and walks only 2% of his at bats. You won't see many hitters with a number that low. His contact rate and speed is in play here against Shelby Miller who's been a little bit of trash this season. He can't strike anyone out and really struggles...
