Read about it in our exclusive ScoreStreak picks.   Pitchers Early Slate Jon Lester - FD 9800 DK 11600 DD 20150 DFSTR 9400 I would love every single thing about this matchup except that he's pitching opposite King Felix and that's going to make getting the win awfully tough. Otherwise, this lines up to be a great start for Lester. To begin with, his peripherals this season have been nutso with a strikeout rate higher than a batter an inning and he's walking less that two batters per nine. His efficiency should play well against a Mariner team that ranks second to last in the league against lefties. Seattle struggles with that platoon and Lester should be able to work up and down the order. Consider Edinson Volquez and that I'm even saying that shows you how bad the pitching is after Lester. Late Slate Jacob deGrom - FD 8200 DK 9600 DD 18650 DFSTR 10300 deGrom's enjoyed a solid and somewhat surprising rooking season for the Mets. His 3.35 xFIP and above average strikeout rate point to a guy who should be a mainstay in the Mets' rotation for a while. He gets the Marlins today who won't just roll over. They rank in the top half of the league in team wOBA against righties, but the news here is they strike out a ton. They go down on strikes 24% of the time to righties. The ballpark works in deGRom's favor as well. This is a solid, if unspectacular matchup on a short slate without any top tier pitching. Andrew Cashner - FD 7800 DK 6600 DD 13150 DFSTR 5000 The evening slate of games seems fraught with pitching peril. So I'm happy to target a slightly above average pitcher against a weaker offense. Cashner doesn't have huge K upside, but he strikes out just a shade less than eight...

I hate saying stuff like that because of course there is a price for everyone, but Kershaw's talent is simply too good to ignore in these formats. Even last game, one that started rough (by only his standards) ended with him having struck out 10 over 8 innings and earning the win. He's just on a different level and is so dialed in. The Nationals aren't a great matchup and rank in the top third of the league against lefties. But I think Clayton bypasses some of that with his skill. Not a sure thing, but among the top tier of pitching there is him and then a huge, huge dropoff to the next guy. Mike Minor - FD 7400 DK 7900 DD 13600 DFSTR 6000 I'd like to pat myself on the back for being one of the true Minor believers this season. I lost some money on him early in the season, but patience has paid off as his bad luck finally ran out and his last four games he's average 7 IP 6 Ks with a couple of wins thrown in there. Today he gets a middling Phillies team that strikes out more than 21% of the time against lefties. Minor is still a tad underpriced but nowhere like he's been his last couple of starts. But I'm buying on him today. He still has a mid 3's xFIP and strikes out about eight batters per nine. Wade Miley - FD 7200 DK 7900 DD 13850 DFSTR 5000 There is some risk involved with this dude as he can struggle with his control limiting his innings on a game-to-game basis. But when...

Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks for ScoreStreak 9/2/14 DFSR has partnered with ScoreStreak: a new, innovative style of DFS play. Gone is the salary finagling, mixing and matching, and hair-pulling that goes into setting lineups. ScoreStreak simplifies the process in an easy-to-use interface. Employing a prop-pick style, ScoresStreak leagues are specific outcome dependent with three categories: Total Bases, Hits, and for pitchers, Strikeouts. New users who deposit through DFSR will get an extra $10 to play with. We are putting in picks every night and giving you some of our top plays each day. Two are on us, the third is all you. Or go your own way. As always, if you are new to daily fantasy baseball, make sure read our Free Baseball e-book. It contains one mistake that basically everyone in the daily fantasy baseball industry is making! Also be sure to sign up for a free 3-day trial to access the MLB system and spreadsheets that help produce our picks. And give ScoreStreak a try. You'll like it as much as we do.   Total Bases Mike Trout Brad Peacock is just dreadful and I'd expect Trout to have a day against the guy with a mid 4's xFIP. The only thing that has me just a little concerned about using Trout against such a bad pitcher is that Peacock walks tons of guys. That limits what Trout can do just a little with the bat considering we are targeting only total bases. But the matchup is choice and Trout is as good as it gets. Giancarlo Stanton Has spent this season establishing himself as the kind of guy who likes to murder lefty pitching. Like horror show, nightmare kind of murdering. He's got an OPS over 1K in that side of the split to go with a 198 wRC+ and other-worldly .455 wOBA. That spells some bad news for Jon Niese today. Niese isn't bad, but Stanton makes up for it by causing permanent damage to southpaws.   Hits Jose Altuve Gets a bit boring recommending him day after day. But if you've played him he's been pretty much the man with at least one hit in his last nine games and three multi-hit games thrown in there. Today he faces the lefty C.J. Wilson putting little Jose in a good spot. He's crushing lefty pitching this season with a crazy 87% contact rate in that split. That spells a lot of hits and he should be able to snag at least one today. Jose Reyes Our system really hates Jeremy Hellickson today against the Jays. Kind of thinks he's going to get rocked. I'll put money on Reyes being part of it. He has a decent contact rate against righty pitching and Hellickson has...

First off, our system has them at around the same points per dollar multiplier on both FanDuel and DraftKings. They are both priced under Scherzer and Sale (who face each other) and both have prices falling because of some recent performance issues. The concerns for both are real though slightly different. Greinke has seen a dip in strikeouts since revealing he was dealing with some elbow discomfort. And Strasburg's been a human roller coaster, mixing in equal parts pitching gems and nightmares. Greinke has the better matchup against the Padres, though the strikeouts do concern me. Strasburg faces a middling Mariners team in a good ballpark. I wouldn't say either is a sure thing, but I think they are both in solid spots considering the prices and upside. I suppose the downside is there for both, but at these prices relative to the rest of the pitching field, I think you can swing it. Jake Odorizzi - FD 7800 DK 8200 DD 14850 DFSTR 7300 Despite some recent offense, the Red Sox still do rank in the bottom third of the league in offense against righties on the season. I'm not inclined to think many of their offensive woes have been solved, especially considering they remain committed to playing the young guys. Odorizzi's turned in a solid season with his biggest benefit coming from the K upside. He strikes out about 10 batters per nine. The walks are little high for my taste, but the opponent leaves a great deal to be desired. If you are looking in the middle tier, or someone to pair with a higher priced arm, he's the way...
