Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks for FanDuel, Draftkings, and Draftstreet 4/8/14
Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks for FanDuel, Draftkings, and Draftstreet 4/8/14 A huge day for baseball, and a lot of big tourneys for big cash. Interestingly, though, not a ton of terrific plays today. Luckily, you've come to the place that has them all in one convenient article! A quick note - our baseball product for FanDuel is LIVE!. It's going to be free until the end of the regular season in basketball - so PLEASE, if you have any feedback, we'd love to hear it! Be sure to sign up for a free 3-day trial to access the NBA system and spreadsheets that help produce our picks. And give a follow on Twitter @dailyfantasysr. A little note about baseball picks If you're coming over from basketball - welcome. If you're a lifelong fantasy baseball player, welcome. I want to give a quick heads up about how we are going to do our baseball picks. Unlike basketball, contextual information matters very little baseball. Guys rarely take days off, and "playing well recently" means almost nothing. Playing time hardly ever changes (unlike in basketball where guys can increase their opportunities by 50% on a coach's whim), and when it does, it's fairly obvious. So, we're going to be giving picks each day without huge write-ups. The only thing that changes about a player in a given day (for the most part) is the park he's playing in and the pitcher he is facing. Most of the other stuff is noise, unless a player has drastically changed his position in the lineup. For pitchers, all that really matters is who they are facing, which park, and if they've been recently injured. We cool? Let's do it. Pitchers Corey Kluber FanDuel 6000 DraftKings 7300 DraftStreet 17596 Easily my favorite pitcher play of the day, and he'll be a monstrous start everywhere. The Dads are a horrendous 28th in the majors vs. right handed pitching, and Kluber is no slouch of a righty to begin with. Nice potential for Ks, IP, and the eventual W. Gio Gonzalez FanDuel 8300 DraftKings 9900 DraftStreet 20886 I prefer Kluber to Gio, but if you are fixing to spend at pitcher (and I know a lot of you are), I love Gio over Scherzer or Bailey. The reason? Opponent, baby. Of the three, Gio has the best match-up by a country mile. The Marlins were shockingly bad against lefties last year, only missing last place to the Mariners by .06 OPS points. Trevor Cahill FanDuel 5300 DraftKings 7400 DraftStreet 10089This might seem like an odd play, given what happened to Cahill his last time out against the Giants - but there's a big difference in this one. The...
Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks for FanDuel, Draftkings, and Draftstreet 4/7/14
Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks for FanDuel, Draftkings, and Draftstreet for 4/7/14 A relatively light day today, and if you have followed our basketball picks, you know that we are PUMPED about days like today. Fewer games means fewer good plays, and great likelihood of mistake making from our mortal enemies. With great delight, I move on to the picks. Pitchers Corey Kluber FanDuel 6000 DraftKings 7300 DraftStreet 17596 The Indians crush lefties, and should make quick work of Robbie Erlin. Kluber also happens to be awesome, and the Padres were the 3rd worst team in the league against right handed pitching last year. Essentially an ideal match up. C.J. Wilson FanDuel 6800 DraftKings 9400 DraftStreet 20258 Wilson draws the Astros - who were 20th in the league in OPS vs. left handers last year. Throw in Houston's neutral park, and you've got another terrific pitcher matchup. Scott Kazmir FanDuel 6200 DraftKings 9000 DraftStreet 19709 Kazmir picked up where he left off (and then some) from last year against Cleveland, and draws a much more favorable match-up against the Twins. Cleveland was #1 in the league vs. lefties last year, and Minnesota ranked 18th. Catchers Brian McCann FanDuel 3600 DraftKings 4200 DraftStreet 5366 Jimenez has potential to have a nice game in this one,...

Most of the other stuff is noise, unless a player has drastically changed his position in the lineup. For pitchers, all that really matters is who they are facing, which park, and if they've been recently injured. We cool? Let's do it. Pitchers Jeff Samardzija FanDuel 7400 DraftKings 9400 DraftStreet 18407 Samardzija is my favorite big $ pitcher today (on FanDuel). Philly had a .694 OPS against righties last year, and that includes their home games in that little bandbox they play in. Tyler Skaggs FanDuel 4900 DraftKings 9200 DraftStreet 10531 Skaggs is cheap, has K upside, and gets the classic Houston bump. Tommy Milone FanDuel 5300 DraftKings 7200 DraftStreet 13461 Speaking of horrible vs. a certain handedness - Seattle was an embarrassment against lefties last year, sporting a .657 OPS. Combine that with a heck of a park, and Milone makes an excellent play today. Carlos Carrasco FanDuel 4200 DraftKings 7000 DraftStreet 7255 The system actually doesn't like Carrasco very much, but it does like the Indians in this game, and Carrasco does have some K ability. The thing about cheap pitchers is that they basically pay for themselves by getting a win. Carrasco makes a decent risk, in that way. Catchers Victor Martinez FanDuel 3300 DraftKings 3900 DraftStreet 6720 V-mart is very simply one of the best hitting "catchers" going, and Bud Norris and his spunky fastball shouldn't do much against V-mart and the Detroit lineup. Brian McCann FanDuel 3600 DraftKings 4200...

Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks for FanDuel, Draftkings, and Draftstreet 4/2/14 Like real life players, we need to be resilient during slumps. If you took CC yesterday on our recommendation - that's my bad. Making it up to you today with some picks to live by! A quick note - our baseball product for FanDuel is LIVE!. For pitchers, all that really matters is who they are facing, which park, and if they've been recently injured. We cool? Let's do it. PSA: The picks do not include the early games. Our system is having a hell of a time with how the different sites integrate with early games, late games, rain outs, etc, and we're working on the back end trying to get things settled. Sorry! Pitchers Charlie Morton FanDuel 4700 DraftKings 6400 DraftStreet 12902 Morton is one of those guys who doesn't have the stuff to blow you away, but could easily best a lousy Cubs team. Pitchers with low $ totals benefit from Wins more than pitchers with high $ totals (since efficiency is calculated by ratios) - and Morton doesn't need to do much to produce 2x on this number. Gio Gonzalez FanDuel 8000 DraftKings 9800 DraftStreet 19207 Gio is the best high $ pitcher on the board today. A lefty facing the Mets who has strike-out stuff? A 18+ FPs performance is totally in play. Edwin Jackson FanDuel 5300 DraftKings 7100 DraftStreet 13304 Fairly unsexy play, but if you think the Cubs can win this...
