If you're interested, here are today's daily picks: Check em out. And finally, I was a guest on LuDawg TV yesterday sitting with Chris Kay talking this slate of action. Check it out On to the picks.   Pitchers I think I'm on a Kershaw fade today. I know he's amazing and is by far the best pitcher going. His price is just too much of a handcuff. There is some pitcher value out there. The options aren't as good from a raw points perspective, but the Royals are K happy and Clayton is steep. Scott Kazmir FanDuel 8800 DraftKings 9000 DraftStreet 20851 Let me start by saying that Kazmir isn't nearly as good as his low two's ERA would suggest. And his price is reflective of the ERA so you are going to overpay a little here. But the matchup in the Mets is choice and the ballpark helps his case even more. The strikeouts aren't where they were last season, but neither are the walks. He's running crazy awesome in Babip so my excitement is tempered though the Mets strike out almost 25% of the time against lefty pitching. There are some automatic outs in their lineup against lefties. Kazmir is a solid option on a weird pitching day. Homer Bailey FanDuel 8200 DraftKings 8500 DraftStreet 16233 He's been incredibly unlucky this season. Like off the charts running bad. Of course some of it is his own doing. He does let up too many home runs. But even for him it's been a rough go of it with a HR/FB% much higher than his career averages. Additionally his Babip is about 30 points higher than his career numbers. The K's are there and his xFIP is solidly in the mid threes. I think he'll be off many a radar today because of the inflated ERA, but it's a little of a smokescreen. Use it to your advantage and roll him out there against a weak Cubs team. Yovani Gallardo FanDuel 7300 DraftKings 7600 DraftStreet 15754 To some degree Gallardo...

You'll like it as much as we do.   Total Bases Giancarlo Stanton I typically want to target him against lefties but today the righty David Buchanan is so weak and the park plays so well for hitters that Stanton takes over the top spot in total bases. It's also a little weird to get away from Coors on a given day when there are viable options. But Citizen's Bank Park plays well above average for righty power and Stanton is Stanton. He's destroying the ball, owns an OPS close to 1K and Buchanan doesn't have the strikeout stuff to get guys out consistently. I would only consider Stanton for my top total bases slot as I want to take care of it in one swing, but man he has supreme upside today. Miguel Cabrera Probably didn't need me to make these picks for you today, but alas here you are with some chalk plays across the board. ScoreStreak is a tricky site as the overall best hitters in baseball don't necessarily make the best plays every single day, but Miggy facing Colby Lewis in Arlington is more than enough reason to have him in there. Miggy is platoon neutral though the word "neutral" suggests something different than reality. It should be something more like platoo dominant. He hits lefties and righties equally well, Lewis doesn't have the overpowering stuff to get past Cabrera multiple times through the lineup and the park plays up power to the fences and the alleys. Hits Yadier Molina Molina is a contact hitter, playing in Coors and facing a lefty in de la Rosa making him a great option for total hits today. Obviously, many of the Cardinals make solid options today because of their circumstances. I...

If you're interested, here are today's daily picks: Check em out.   Pitchers Felix Hernandez FanDuel 11200 DraftKings 12500 DraftStreet 23956 Oh my goodness has King Felix been good this season. The strikeout numbers continue on a positive trend and he just doesn't walk anyone. The latter allows him to go late in games. He's gone 7+ innings in his last six starts and two of those he's gone into the ninth. This kind of efficiency helps in raising his already high basement. And the K numbers keep the ceiling up there. Gets banged a little today because he's not a huge favorite against the Sox with Lackey on the mound and Seattle being shitty hitters and all. But the Red Sox aren't much better. They rank 21st in the league in OPS against righties and strikeout more than 21% of the time. You'll have to pay big for King Felix today but there are plenty of discount bats with great splits that help you get there. Gio Gonzalez FanDuel 8200 DraftKings 10200 DraftStreet 15464 In his first game back after a run on the disabled list Gio was pedestrian. This is nothing more than a GPP upside play for me today. Gonzalez has big time strikeout stuff with a K/9 in the mid 9's this year even accounting for a terrible run prior to the DL. And the Brewers, already below average against lefties (amazing considering they are all righties) will probably be without Braun today. The Brew Crew K more than 23% of the time. This is a high upside spot for Gio, but buyer beware. He has some batting practice in him. Alex Cobb FanDuel 7600 DraftKings 8700 DraftStreet 16332 This is a tough pick because the Pirates are actually good against righties, but with so few quality mid-tier pitching options going today I think you can risk the opponent on the idea that Cobb is a control guy with strike out stuff throwing in one of the best pitcher's parks in all of baseball. His xFIP sits...

You'll like it as much as we do.   Total Bases Justin Morneau Corey Dickerson With Braun and Bautista shelved (two guys who are near the top in our system, I'm headed over to Coors Field where it's always good to have some exposure especially when the platoon split is advantageous. Morneau and Dickerson face Lance Lynn, a guy who can K batters but is also trending dangerously low in his HR/FB rate thanks to an increased IFFB%. Coors is the type of place that regresses these numbers in a big way. Watch for both of them to collect some XBH's today. Both guys are much better against righties (Dickerson especially) and it makes sense to target this ballpark specifically in a category like this.   Hits Jacoby Ellsbury For your multi-hit slot it helps to target guys with speed as they stand to reach base at a higher rate just on account of those fast moving legs. Ellsbury has this, plus the splits, plus a hitter's park in the Rogers Center that allows power to the alleys and especially to lefty batters. We are less concerned with the raw power here for Jacoby, but it's good to know there are increased chances to have the ball fall out of reach of fielders. Marcus Stroman doesn't walk many batters or strike out guys at a high level, meaning the ball should be in play from Ellsbury's bat today. Melky Cabrera This guy is a popular pick in the "Hits" category and with good reason: he collects a ton of them. I like him for many of the same reasons I like Ellsbury. The ballpark is great for hitters and the opposing pitcher in Chase Whitley profiles a lot like Stroman. Not many K's...

If you're interested, here are today's daily picks: Check em out.   Pitchers Masahiro Tanaka FanDuel 11400 DraftKings 11900 DraftStreet 25585 Tough to choose between Darvish and Tanaka in this top ace spot. Though our system prefers Darvish to a certain degree, I think I'm going to roll Tanaka if I can fit the budget which won't be easy. He isn't a universal play because the cost is prohibitive (on both guys), but there's no denying what kind of pitcher he's been this season. The K rate is close to 10.5 per nine innings while the equally real story are the walks. They must not have a word for those in Japanese because he doesn't really issue them. His 1.44 BB/9 rate is minuscule allowing for a 7:1 K:BB rate that's among the best in the majors. This is what separates he and Darvish today because they both strike out a lot of guys and both face offenses ranked in the top third of the league against righties. But Tanaka is much more efficient and that wins you points in my book. There are some midrange pitchers that look appealing today so by no means is Tanaka a must-play today. Hyun-Jin Ryu FanDuel 8200 DraftKings 9000 DraftStreet 17600 The Padres, as I write nearly every day, suck. They are a minor league team wearing major league uniforms. I doubt the folks in San Diego care a whole hell of a lot about this because of the awesome weather, ocean, sunshine, etc. But we care because targeting these guys is profit-generating. Ryu is an above average pitchers who gets just enough swings and misses to think he has some upside in this matchup. He strikes out seven batters per nine, limits the walks and has an xFIP in the mis threes. The park is a big advantage as righty hitters have a hell of a time putting one out to left. His mid-tier salary looks awfully inviting in this spot. Dallas Keuchel FanDuel 8100 DraftKings 9500 DraftStreet 17596 Peripherals a lot like...
