If you're interested, here are today's daily picks: Check em out. Pitchers Pitching is kind of a disaster today. I don’t want to pay a boat load for Wainwright as his peripherals and xFIP are running way behind his salaries. He’s been good but not anywhere close to the sub-2 ERA guy you see. But man are there a bunch of losers on the mound. Mike Minor - FD 6900 DK 7200 DD 11950 SS NA This is how much I hate the pitching options today. I’m recommending a guy who was sent down to the minors a few months ago because his ERA was through the roof and this is his first start back. Oh and don’t forget his time in the minors was nothing to write home about. But Salazar’s xFIP is well below his ERA and there was for sure some bad luck thrown in there along the way. The Twins are an average team against righties and strike out more than 21% of the time. This is risky for sure, but every pitcher feels that way today. Consider Jimmy Nelson for some K's. Note: I think there’s a case for basically going as cheap as possible on pitching today, crossing your fingers and loading up on bats. This is as bad a pitching day as I’ve seen. Catchers Brian McCann - FD 2700 DK 3700 DD 7100 SS 5200 Get ready to see a lot of Yanks on this list tonight. That’s because Nick Martinez probably shouldn’t be in the major leagues. His xFIP is close to six and he strikes out less guys than he walks. (3.90 to 4.16). These are atrocious numbers and McCann meets them perfectly because he’s been running bad this season keeping the price low. He is so far and away the best per $ play in our system tonight that I’m not even recommending anyone else. That’s how confident I am in this play. Never done that before, but hey, what good is making picks if you can’t put...

Total Bases Miguel Cabrera Nothing crazy about this pick at all though I think it is worth noting that I think our system is underrating Chase Anderson just a little. But Miggy gets a bump for basically being Miggy and for getting to slug in such a great park in Chase Field. He's raking righties this season with an OPS in the mid .900's which is down for him but still super solid for any mere mortal. I am going safety today at total bases even with a bunch of Nats playing in Coors. (Who I will still have in some slots.) Mike Trout There are a lot of players to like today and I could make cases for a bunch of guys, but I'm going a little safer than usual with Trout today as I want to target his matchup with Miguel Gonzalez. Gonzalez doesn't have elite swing and miss stuff and does generate walks, but this is Trout and our system has so many other guys so closely grouped that distinguishing among them is tough. Hits Jacoby Ellsbury Brett Gardner Nick Martinez is the very definition of "awful". Dude walks more guys than he strikes out which is great place to start when we are sniffing out hits. Both Ellsbury and Gardner hitting at the top of this lineup, along with their speed make great plays here. I will have both in for sure as I think they are such huge favorites considering Martinez's deficiencies. The stadium offers another big boost though I think I'd stick these guys in no matter the stadium. When going after hits we want to face low K pitchers first and foremost along with advantageous sides...

If you're interested, here are today's daily picks: Check em out. Pitchers Julio Teheran - FD 8900 DK 9400 DD 19150 SS 26900 It’s taken me a little while to come around on Teheran and honestly, I’m not all the way there yet. His xFIP is a full run higher than his ERA at 3.74 and that alone has me a little off him today. But our system doesn’t account for this kind of “luck” over the course of the first half of the season and still likes his value for the dollar against the Marlins. Miami strikes out almost 24% of the time and though they rank in the top half of the league in wOBA against righties their stock has been dropping since an early season explosion. Hyun-Jin Ryu - FD 8100 DK 9100 DD 15450 SS 24800 The Pirates rank 28th in the league against lefty pitching which is nuts considering they have some guys who’ve historically crushed that split. But it hasn’t worked out that way this season (McCutch aside) and Ryu is in a solid spot today. He’s a safer play considering Pittsburgh is a pitcher’s park depressing power to all sides. Ryu’s xFIP is in the low threes and his lower strikeout rate is made up for by him never walking anyone. Jon Niese - FD 7000 DK 7200 DD 12600 SS 19500 If you are targeting matchups and ballparks you can do a lot worse than Niese against the Mariners. Seattle ranks 29th in the league against lefties in team OPS and strike out more than 22% of the time. Nothing exciting about Niese except the price allows tons of flexibility with your bats. His ERA is outpacing his xFIP by more than a run so don’t get too caught up in that number. But overall he works out great on multi-SP sites. Consider Roenis Elias for sneaky K’s on the cheap Catchers Some super cheap options here today that I really like. Wilson Ramos - FD 2900 DK 4000 DD 6300...

Total Bases So many options today it’s kind of hard to narrow them down. That’s what happens when a bunch of crappy lefties take the hill and one them throws in Coors. Jayson Werth I’m not fading Coors Field today by any stretch of the imagination and honestly I could put Anthony Rendon and Ryan Zimmerman here as well (hint, hint). Today’s the kind of day I wish ScoreStreak allowed for more spots (hint, hint) and the Nats heading into Coors make me more than a little excited. As I’m sure they will everyone else. Werth is one of the dominant lefty platoon dudes in all of baseball with an OPS close to 1.000 this season which only builds on his career numbers. What a spot and he should clean up the total bases category. Miguel Cabrera Facing a Vidal Nuno in Chase Field. Do you need any more explanation than that? I hope not. Even in a non-Miggy season he still rates out as one of the best hitters in the baseball with an OPS close to .900 (poor for is lofty standards). I don’t care though. This is too good of a matchup in too good of a park. Hits Ian Kinsler Speaking of lefty platoon splits heading into Chase Field to face Vidal Nuno. Kinsler rocks a nice career contact rate against lefties and is better on this side of the split. It hasn’t played out perfectly that way this season (costing me some sheckles early) but I don’t live in the past and neither should you. Brian Dozier What I like about this play is that Dozier is better against lefties and T.J. House has a low K and...

If you're interested, here are today's daily picks: Check em out. Pitchers Zack Wheeler - FD 9200 DK 10100 DD 17150 SS 26900 He was pushed back a day. This is my writeup from yesterday. Same considerations. For team that’s righty heavy throughout their lineup, the Brewers actually struggle a bit against lefties. They rank in the bottom third of the league against that hand with a .309 team wOBA and strike out almost 23% of the time. Gio isn’t a sure thing by any means and represents a little more of a GPP play than anything because his control is erratic at times. But he’s been solid this season and definitely has swing and miss stuff when he’s rolling. The walks scare me for sure, but I think he has the best chance of far exceeding his salary today.
