If you went full Keegan last week, you came away happy as he picked up his 5th career win and first since the BMW Championship back in 2018. It was a classic case of a very good ball striker putting together a terrific putting week and finding his way to the hardware on Sunday afternoon. This week the PGA Tour returns back to the United States for the CJ Cup in South Carolina. This is an event that started back in the 2017-18 season at the Club @ Nine Bridges in South Korea and was played there for three straight seasons. For the last two years, it has been played at two separate Las Vegas courses in Shadow Creek and the Summit Club and will now be played a fourth different course, this time moving to Congaree Golf Club in South Carolina. This will also be the second time Congaree will be used on the PGA Tour with the 2020-21 Palmetto Championship played at the course. The only difference this time around is that the CJ Cup is a small-field, no-cut event while the Palmetto Championship was a full-field Top 65 and ties event. Either way, there are players in the field who have played the course in a PGA Tour-sanctioned event. This week's field is much better than last week's as six of the World's Top 10 golfers are in the field led by #1 Scottie Scheffler. The course is lengthy Par 71 listed at 7,655 yards on the scorecard and ranked as the 7th toughest course(outside majors & the Players) for the...

The Course The Summit Club Par 72 - 7,431 Yards Greens - Bentgrass **Click the image above to see a hole by hole breakdown from PGATour.com** For the second year in a row, the CJ Cup will be hosted in Las Vegas, this time at the Summit Club. This is a new course on the PGA Tour rotation so course history is thrown out the window when putting together a model. For narrative purposes, Collin Morikawa and Maverick McNealy are members here at the Summit Club and that will likely help bump up their popularity in the fantasy community. As it always is, the CJ Cup is a no-cut event with 78 players in a very strong field led by seven of the Top 10 and 36 of the Top 50 players in the World. With this being a new course I am keeping my stats model fairly simple. Looking at the hole by hole and some flyovers, it appears the fairways are generous which will lead to the second shot being huge in another potential birdie-fest. This has Strokes Gained: Approach and Birdie or Better % taking up a majority of model. I will then add in some Strokes Gained: Putting on Bentgrass stats, Par 4 Scoring, and Par 5 Birdie or Better%. In terms of lineup construction, these no-cut events really cater to a stars and scrubs build for multiple reasons. First of all, there are usually multiple players in the $6K range(DraftKings) who are normally much higher priced, and second, everyone gets four rounds to rack up birdies taking away the stress of making the cut on Friday afternoon. If you are playing heavy GPP and want to differentiate some, consider constructing some balanced lineups. You can accomplish this by using the filters on our DFS PGA Optimizer tool. With all that...

You may recognize the name as this event has been played in each of the last three seasons but in JeJu Island, South Korea. With travel restrictions due to COVID-19, the event had to be moved and was an easy transition with the Tour in Las Vegas last week, as well. One thing that is the same this time around is the loaded field as seven of the Top 10 and 39 of the Top 50 players in the Official World Golf Rankings will be teeing it up in Vegas. When it comes to the course and figuring out what stats are key, it is a bit of a guessing game this week as Shadow Creek has only been used once before for an event and it was the Tiger vs. Phil match. Looking at things strictly from pictures on PGA Tour site as well as the flyover with ProVisualizer, the course has narrow tree-lined fairways and presents a ton of risk-reward shots with bunkering(74 total) and water hazards(in play on 9 holes) mostly in the form of long creeks. It does not appear to be a course the bombers can just let it rip without worry and should lead to more strategy and ball placement off the tee to have a shot at hitting the smaller-than-average Bentgrass green complexes. In my opinion, this brings more players into play which adds to the stars and scrubs strategy I was already considering at this no-cut event. Most of all, with...
