Make sure you subcribe to We Got Nets on iTunes or wherever you listen to podcasts. They start things off talking about Kyrie Irving's first "real" game as a Nets considering dude was knocked out right at the beginning of the Lakers' game in China. It was awesome seeing him getting back into the flow of the game and putting up some vintage Irving shots in the lane. While the game was a bit of a struggle, it's easy to see how he'll start fitting in to the offense. They break down the Raptors' game, a loss for the Nets, and try to glean some of the plan going forward. The Nets will have to improve their perimeter defense especially and they missd a lot of assingments. Adam and Doug also go through the 2019-2020 predictions including Team MVP, Most Improved, Regular season record and more as they really prep for the season to come. We Got Nets Episode 17 - Wrapping up the trip to China, LeVert making the leap, Nets Rotations and more 10/14/19 The We Got Nets crew is here following the Nets’ trip to China and the guys are going through some of their takeaways on the Brooklyn Nets Podcast. They talk about some of the issues with travel and how that had to have affected both teams and why the play was likely so sloppy. Then they talk about the second game. Even though Kyrie Irving didn’t play this game because of the facial fracture, there were still some takeaways from Brooklyn’s play. the big story was the play of Caris Levert who took over game two and led the team in both points and assists. It was such an encouraging sign from the emerging star how he took the reins of the offense with Kyrie off the court. They also talk Taurean Prince’s continued hot shooting, the different Nets’ rotations, whether to start Jarrett Allen or DeAndre Jordan should start and more. We Got Nets Episode 10 – A Brooklyn Nets Podcast: Caris LeVert extension, Wilson Chandler suspended, and Carmelo Anthony rumors 9/4/19
We Got Nets Episode 10 - A Brooklyn Nets Podcast: Caris LeVert extension, Wilson Chandler suspended, and Carmelo Anthony rumors 9/4/19 It's episode 10 of We Got Nets a Brooklyn Nets Podcast with more big news in Nets nation after a crazy offseason. Listen on iTunes: They kick things off with the Caris LeVert extension which looks very team-friendly and favorable for the Nets. LeVert looks like he might have taken a below-market deal in order to lock up some stability around the Nets' core for the next few seasons. That puts the main Nets' guys under contract for what could be a championship run once Kevin Durant comes back. Of course, there's the Wilson Chandler suspension as well. He will sit 25 games for violating the NBA's PED policy and that begins leaving the Nets even thinner around their depth. Doug and Adam discuss the rumors around Carmelo Anthony and Joe Johnson getting workouts for the team. And finally, they quickly discuss the recent Rodion Kurucs domestic abuse allegations. It’s a collection of sports podcasts of all types, and the WGN crew will be the official Brooklyn Nets podcast for the network. It’s an exciting move and one that points to a great direction for the show. Then they get into the Nets’ ownership situation and how Joseph Tsai will be now the majority owner with him buying out Mikhail Prokhorov’s majority stake. This is a big move for the franchise and adds some stability to their ownership group while also helping to further the NBA’s reach into other markets. Of course, they also have to talk about the Nets hat Doug bought from the NBA store that looks totally ridiculous on him. If anyone wants a free XL Nets hat sent to them reach out on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram. And finally, they talk about ESPN’s Kevin Pelton’s release of his preseason projections and where the Nets land. He has them entering the season as the 8th seed in the East which is the most bearish projection the guys have seen yet. They discuss this plus some more Vegas odds market movement around the Nets. We Got Nets Episode 7 – A Brooklyn Nets Podcast: Live from the WGN Cabin, Nets Playoff Odds, Podcast Philosophy and Crunch-Time Guys 7/30/19
We Got Nets Episode 7 - A Brooklyn Nets Podcast: Live from the WGN Cabin, Nets Playoff Odds, Podcast Philosophy and Crunch-Time Guys 7/30/19 Episode 7 of We Got Nets, a Brooklyn Nets Podcast is live from the WGN Summer headquarters in Upstate New York. The guys are in person for the podcast and talking everything Brooklyn Nets. Listen on Spreaker: Listen to "We Got Nets Episode 7 - Live from the Cabin, Playoff Odds, Podcast Philosophy and Crunch-Time Guys 7/30/19" on Spreaker. It’s a packed 45 minutes of Brooklyn Nets talk as they hit the dog days of summer. The guys start off talking about the PointsBet betting totals for the Nets’ wins and their chances at the playoffs. Currently, those numbers sit at over/under 45.5 and +400 to *miss* the playoffs. The guys talk about the relevancy around those numbers and how betting against them isn’t necessarily an indictment on the Nets season. They discuss where some of the friction may come from with the Nets hitting certain milestones this season and how Kyrie Irving’s health is a key component. There’s some reason to be worried about Irving’s ability to play a whole season and what that would mean for the Brooklyn chances at improving on last year’s numbers. With that in mind, the guys also discuss the 2018-2019 record and how the 42-40 record could have been about two wins over the pythagorean expectation considering they were outscored for the season. There’s also a philosophical discussion about what the We Got Nets podcast should be about, should it be a fan podcast or maybe discuss things that Nets fans don’t want to “hear”. And finally, they look at possible crunch time lineups for the Nets this season and different combinations that may or may not be able to take the court together.
