Quarterbacks Lamar Jackson FD 8600 DK 8200 Opponent SEAProj Points FD - 21.84 DK - 21.84 For Sunday’s main slate of games I think we are going to want to pay up for one of the stud (“safe”) quarterbacks to get things started in cash. That’s going to mean either Lamar Jackson or Jalen Hurts who I think you can prioritize depending on the site. Lamar Jackson is $400 cheaper on FanDuel in the matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. He is QB5 in FanDuel scoring on the season thanks in large part to the 380 rushing yards and five touchdowns on the ground. Seattle is good against the run and has a good pass rush so it isn’t like this is some kind of layup game. But Lamar has such a high floor because of what he does on the ground. And he also has weapons now. Jalen Hurts FD 9000 DK 8000 Opponent DALProj Points FD - 22.52 DK - 22.52 And then there is Jalen Hurts who is $200 cheaper than Lamar Jackson on DraftKings. He goes against Dallas who has an elite defensive pass rush, but the game as the highest over/under on the slate at 46. It should still be a good spot for Jalen Hurts who is fantasy’s QB2 on the season. He gets out and runs more than nine times per game, has six rushing touchdowns and is a big-time threat every time Philly is down and close. Plus, we will talk about stacking him with AJ Brown here shortly. There are some backup quarterbacks getting starts this week. One who could be interesting is Taylor Heinecke for the Falcons. He’s $5K on DraftKings and gets a good matchup. Running Back Bijan Robinson FD 7100 DK 6100 Opponent MINProj Points FD - 14.86 DK - 16.99 After the Bijan debacle of Week 7 that saw him barely play after getting sick pregame, things bounced back in Week 8. He played 74% of the snaps, got 11 carries and five targets in the offense. It was bad because Desmond Ridder looked rough, but there’s going to be a change there now. The Falcons are -3 home favorites against the Vikings who have a good run defense but might not be able to keep the offense on the field without Kirk Cousins. I like the deal we are getting on Bijan here for sure....

Quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes FD 9000 DK 8400 Opponent DENProj Points FD - 25.82 DK - 25.82 Patrick Mahomes is just such a tough fade right now and this week is lining up for the Chiefs to really pile it on. For starters, Mahomes is QB3 in DraftKings scoring on the season behind only Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts. And then you factor in that he is playing the Denver Broncos who grade out at 25th in pass rush and 30th in coverage according to PFF. This game has the highest total on the slate and Mahomes controls the offense. He’s expensive, for sure, but the floor is just so, so high right now. And the matchup is perfect. Brock Purdy FD 7200 DK 5600 Opponent CINProj Points FD - 18.07 DK - 18.07 Brock Purdy is coming cheap on DraftKings where I think you can consider him in cash games. The Bengals have a good pass rush but rank consistently low in coverage. Cincy is below average in opponents yards per pass attempt and are about average in opponent pace. This is a good spot for Purdy even without Deebo Samuel in the mix. He’s gotten out and run a few more times in the last couple of games and has been historically efficient with this offense. I think he has a higher floor in cash games. Running Back Alvin Kamara FD 8300 DK 7300 Opponent INDProj Points FD - 21.75 DK - 25.82 Alvin Kamara is 18th in running back usage (carries + targets) this season which doesn’t sound all that impressive until you remember that he’s played about three games fewer than just about everyone above him on the list. And his receiving targets alone are second among RBs overall behind only Josh Jacobs. This is just outrageous opportunity for Kamara and it makes him basically a must-play on DraftKings because of the full PPR scoring. Derek Carr is fine checking down all day long and Kamara has been the primary beneficiary. This is a pretty easy play in this spot. Tony Pollard FD 7600 DK 7500 Opponent LARProj Points FD - 18.01 DK - 20.11 We are getting dared to play Tony Pollard at these prices and he enters Week 8 with a chance to actually show why he went so high in drafts this season. The Cowboys come out of the bye as -6.5...

Quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes FD 9200 DK 8300 Opponent LACProj Points FD - 25.28 DK - 25.28 Chiefs and Chargers have the highest total on the main slate of games and it isn’t all that close with the game sitting four points higher than the next closest one. Patrick Mahomes is QB4 in DraftKings scoring on the season this one could be something of a shootout. You are paying a premium on Mahomes for sure, but there should be cheaper running backs to smooth salary concerns out for overall lineup construction. Geno Smith FD 7000 DK 6000 Opponent ARIProj Points FD - 18.45 DK - 18.45 Gen Smith is coming cheaper on both sites and gets one of the best matchups on the slate facing off against the Cardinals at home. He isn’t having quite the season we saw last year, off that pace in terms of yards and touchdowns with the completion percentage down as well. But the Cardinals have the 31st-ranked defense on the season and this is a get-right spot for sure. I like stacking Geno and Kenneth Walker (will get to him in a second) in cash games because the floor should be very high for the offense in general. Running Back Isiah Pacheco FD 7400 DK 6100 Opponent LACProj Points FD - 16.27 DK - 18.22 Having exposure to the Chiefs after Mahomes can get tough because, at least in the pass game, the wide receivers are all over the place. And Travis Kelce is very expensive. But Pacheco is still coming at something of a value. He’s playing about 60-65% of the offensive snaps and last week had elite usage with 16 carries and 6 targets. This kind of role in one of the best offenses in football is too good to pass up and his price doesn’t match at all. Kenneth Walker III FD 8800 DK 7000 Opponent ARIProj Points FD - 16.85 DK - 18.34 While he’s expensive on FanDuel, this is definitely a spot to play Kenneth Walker on DraftKings considering the context. We love playing home running backs on teams that are big favorites and that’s the case with the Seahawks here. They are -8 against the Cardinals who rank 29th in run defense on the season. Walker got 76% of the offensive snaps in Week 6, carrying the ball 19 times while also seeing three targets in the...

Quarterbacks Joe Burrow FD 7500 DK 6300 Opponent SEAProj Points FD - 21.01 DK - 21.01 Any concerns about lingering health issues for Joe Burrow and the calf injury were seemingly wiped away in Week 5 when he looked all the way back against the Cardinals. He completed 36 of his 46 passes for 317 yards and three touchdowns, connecting with Ja'Marr Chase over and over (and over and over) again through the air. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling here against the Seahawks who don’t provide a ton of threats in coverage and are allowing the most opponent plays per game on the season. Matthew Stafford FD 7300 DK 6100 Opponent ARIProj Points FD - 20.32 DK - 20.32 We typically like to focus on running quarterback for cash simply because their respective floors are so much higher when they can get points on the ground. That being said, there’s a case to be made for Matthew Stafford here considering the matchup against the Arizona, the game total, and his weapons. The Cardinals allow a top 25% pace to opponents and rank 25th in average yard per pass attempt. Stafford has been putting the ball in the air around 40 times per game and now has both Cooper Kupper and Puka Nacua to target. Strongly consider Kirk Cousins going against a terrible Bears defense. Running Back Raheem Mostert FD 8500 DK 6400 Opponent CARProj Points FD - 18.88 DK - 20.71 De'Von Achane is out with an injury and we could be headed back to the Raheem Mostert show on the ground for the Miami Dolphins. Back in Week 2 when Achane was injured, Mostert got 73% of the snaps and carried the ball 18 times for 121 yards and two scores. That kind of workload could be in the cards once again in the game against the Panthers. It doesn’t look like Jeff Wilson is back in the mix and Salvon Ahmed is just there for relief even when healthy. Dial up Mostert here in cash without reservation. Travis Etienne Jr. FD 7700 DK 7100 Opponent INDProj Points FD - 18.91 DK - 20.94 Raheem Mostert does get a little expensive on FanDuel where fitting the salary might be just a bit challenging. If that’s the case then there are a couple of pivots for a bit (or a lot) cheaper who offer some...

Quarterbacks Jalen Hurts FD 8600 DK 8000 Opponent LARProj Points FD - 24.84 DK - 24.84 The Eagles and Rams have the second-highest total of the main slate at 50.5 and there is a good chance of debate between whether to play Jalen Hurts or Patrick Mahomes in this tier. I’m going with Hurts because he’s a bit cheaper and his work on the ground gives him a slightly higher floor than Mahomes. That being said, it’s very close here. Hurts is still getting out and running about 10 times per game and has elite weapons. The Rams are above average in opponents' yards per pass attempt and overall pace, but I’m still on Hurts here regardless. Zach Wilson FD 6700 DK 4900 Opponent DENProj Points FD - 17.18 DK - 17.18 Ok, stick with me here for a second. Before getting too caught up with the name, let’s look at some of the context. For starters, Zach Wilson is coming sub-$5K on DraftKings which gives a lot of flex in the rest of the lineup. Secondly, he’s facing off against a Broncos team allowing 8.9 yards per pass attempt on the season, worst in the league. Third, he started to look downright competent against the Chiefs last week, completing 71% of his passes for 245 yards and two touchdowns. Plus there’s just a little bit of running here. This is more an opponent play than anything else, but it warrants discussion. Strongly consider Matthew Stafford Running Back De'Von Achane FD 7500 DK 6100 Opponent NYGProj Points FD - 18.55 DK - 19.81 De'Von Achane has had a ridiculous last couple of weeks, racking up 304 yards on the ground in just 26 total carries while also picking up another 49 through the air on nine targets. He’s been ultra-efficient and explosive and that is set to continue this week against the Giants. The Dolphins are -11 home favorites against a Giants team allowing 4.4 yards per carry to opponents and looking like they might be dead men walking. Achane is likely to be a chalk play on both sites and he’s coming off playing 60% of the running back snaps last week. Alvin Kamara FD 7100 DK 6300 Opponent NEProj Points FD - 17.21 DK - 20.53 Alvin Kamara came back from suspension and instantly stepped into a lead-back role with 54% of the snaps and a...

Quarterbacks Joe Burrow FD 7200 DK 6500 Opponent TENProj Points FD - 19.32 DK - 19.32 Man, it’s tough with Joe Burrow right now. On the one hand, he’s been able to gut out games, the Bengals beat the Rams on Monday and the price on both sites is getting so, so low. On the other hand, the efficiency has been brutal (55% completion rate) and it still really isn’t clicking. But he gets a straight-up funnel defense in the Titans who’ve allowed the 4th-least rushing yards and 5th-most passing yards. If there was a spot to really turn it around for Burrow so far, this is the one. The prices and the pedigree are just too good to overlook here. Russell Wilson FD 7500 DK 5800 Opponent CHIProj Points FD - 19.91 DK - 19.91 Ooh baby, let’s go there. Russell Wilson and the Broncos have been something of a mess this season and are coming off getting shelled by Miami 70-20. So, that’s not great. But now they are playing the Bears who have allowed the most points in the NFL through 3 weeks (106) and just completely suck. If there was a spot for Wilson to turn in a big game, this is the one. He’s too cheap on DraftKings and that savings is going to be really important this week. Running Back Christian McCaffrey FD 9700 DK 9200 Opponent ARIProj Points FD - 24.28 DK - 26.88 Tony Pollard FD 8400 DK 7800 Opponent NEProj Points FD - 20.78 DK - 22.96 It’s close for me here on the top options between Tony Pollard and Christian McCaffrey. They are one and two in the NFL in usage to start the season at 76 and 73 touches respectively. It’s a steep drop-off after them. I don’t actually think you can really go wrong here all things considered. Both are in solid matchups as favorites and you know are going to get the rock. A tiebreaker could be that Pollard is cheaper on both sites and allows for more flexibility with roster builds. His matchup against the Patriots is slower but that’a baked in a bit here. Either way, both are likely to garner a ton of touches and sit in a class to themselves when it comes to opportunity. Zack Moss FD 7300 DK 6000 Opponent LARProj Points FD - 17.71 DK - 19.08 Zack...
