Examining Player Usage Percentages to Find Week 3 Breakout Candidates (Premium)
Examining Player Usage Percentages to Find Week 3 Breakout Candidates After two games this season we are starting to get a sense of how teams plan on running their offense/ deploying their offensive weapons. And while two games does not a sample size make, we can possibly pick out some players who are running bad in terms of overall fantasy scoring compared to the usage they’re seeing in the offense. Take a look at the chart below to see the top guys in terms of the percentage of team usage they’re seeing and how that could inform some of our decisions moving forward. Daily Fantasy Football Top Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 3 – 9/23/18
Daily Fantasy Football Top Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 3 - 9/23/18 Welcome back football fans. We are now full steam ahead as we enter Week 3 of the NFL season and the biggest thing I notice is how pass-heavy this league has become. Only one running back had 20 or more carries in Week 2 but four of them(Barkley, McCaffrey, Thompson, Riddick) had double-digit targets. James talks about this more in-depth in his premium article so be sure to check that out. This puts even more important on stacking, in my opinion, and I have no issue with the QB/RB stack or even adding a RB to a QB/WR stack as you will see below. Let's dig in and take a look at a coupel of my top teams to target this week. Want to see the rest of this article? Go grab a free three day trial of DFSR Pro or DFSR Basic! A comprehensive look at running backs in 2018
The Death of the Bell-Cow Running Back? Workhorse running backs have been one of the most coveted players in all of fantasy football, basically since its inception. While we've seen a general trend toward more running back by committee situations in the last few years, the first two weeks of the 2018 season have seen an even more dramatic shift away from the classic "feature running back." So how does this affect our daily fantasy football strategies? Who are the safe backs going forward, if such a thing exists? Which slow starts should we take seriously, and which look like aberrations? Read on to find out! Want to see the rest of this article? Go grab a free three day trial of DFSR Pro or DFSR Basic! DFS NFL Week 3 Cash Game Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings 9/20/18
DFS NFL Week 3 Cash Game Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings 9/20/18 DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis are back to the NFL podcast discussing this week’s cash game plays for FanDuel and DraftKings. Week 3 is when things really start to narrow down in the DFS landscape in that many plays have now seen their full price adjustment based on early season performance. The guys wade through some of the more interesting names like Jimmy Garoppolo against a sieve-like Chiefs’ defense and two guys coming off ACL injuries in Carson Wentz and Deshaun Watson. They see Todd Gurley as the safest play (by far) on the day at running back and urge you to lock him into your 50/50 contests. They also look at some injury replacements at the position. They break down WR and TE as well for Week 3 on FanDuel and DraftKings. Subscribe to this podcast on...

START YOUR FREE TRIAL Quick Picks McKenzie Milton -UCF DK 10500 Opponent Florida Atlantic Milton comes in as the most expensive quarterback and also my top cash play. Short slates present unique challenges and advantages when constructing your lineups and with Milton we have a guy with simply too much opportunity to fade in cash games. Milton opened the season by shredding UConn to the tune of 346 yards and five touchdowns. He was uncharacteristically bad against South Carolina State, throwing for less than 250 yards and one touchdown to three interceptions. Last week's game against North Carolina was canceled so Milton and the offense have had two weeks to prepare for FAU. The game has the highest total on the board at 75 (editor's note: up to 77) and UCF has the highest implied total at 44.5 points. The game script is in his favor and Milton is the centerpiece of the offense with considerably more talent at his disposal compared to the Owls defense. After two blowout wins for the Knights we haven’t seen a full game of production out of Milton. If FAU can score a little and hang around, Milton may break the slate! James Williams -Washington State DK 6300 Opponent USC Love J-Will!! Williams is my top overall play for both cash and GPP formats across the entire slate. The short answer; receptions. The long answer is a bit more involved, but it still centers around the sick reception potential he has compared to the others at his position. Since the arrival of Mike Leach, the Cougars have been known for their Air-Raid offense with very little focus on the running back position. Leach also realizes Williams is his most talented skill position player and getting him the ball will improve his team's chances of success. Through three games J-Will has 18 receptions, which is the 2nd most on the team behind only Davontavean Martin (receiver) with 24, but his six touchdowns are tops on the team. Washington State enters the game as 4 point underdogs with a total sitting at 53. Typically running backs on the road as underdogs are...

We've got you completely covered. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo FD 7400 DK 6500 Opponent KC Proj Points FD - 19.51 DK - 20.49 To say Jimmy G’s first two games have failed to live up the end of the 2017 season hype train would be an understatement. He really struggled in Week 1 on the road against a very good Viking’s defense and Week 2 against the Lions saw the 49ers establishing the run in a game they led by 17 entering the 4th quarter. Prepare to see a shift in Week 3. For all of the Patrick Mahomes’ hype / KC offensive juggernaut, their defense has allowed an ungodly 860 yards through the air in the first two weeks. That’s 100 more yards than the next closest team (Tampa Bay). Sure, teams have been forced to play catch up against the Mahomes “Every single drive I get the ball I score a TD” offense. But the defense was bad last year (30th in DVOA) and really doesn’t look at all improved this year. Garoppolo completed 70% of his passes in Week 2 working his 18 completions to eight different receivers. He also threw for to touchdowns and had a drive *shortened* by a Matt Breida 66 yard run in the third. This game should script very well for Jimmy G in that he’s the QB with the second-most implied points as an underdog. Deshaun Watson FD 7700 DK 6100 Opponent NYG Proj Points FD - 21.28 DK - 22.39 Carson Wentz FD 7400 DK 6200 Opponent IND Proj Points FD - 20.93 DK - 21.79 All right, stay with me here for a second. I know both of these guys are basically less than a year removed from ACL surgery and Wentz is making his season debut after sitting out the first two games. But I think in both cases we could be looking at buy-low opportunities. Let’s start...
