Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 7 – 10/20/19
Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 7 - 10/20/19 Welcome back for another week of NFL analysis! It was a tough week for DFSR, as we posted our first losing week of the season - breaking even on FanDuel and losing on DraftKings. But that's football, right? DFSR still marches on with an 8-3-1 record in cash game so far this season, and in spite of a number of fantasy-relevant teams being on byes, week 7 is shaping up to be a nice bounceback. And with the extra rest he walks into a total dream matchup against the Miami Dolphins. The latter is easily the worst team in the league having been outscored by 138 points this season, almost twice as much as the next worst team. They are an unmitigated disaster and, among other bad things, are allowing the 3rd-most DraftKings scoring to opposing quarterbacks this season. They could easily be allowing the most, but teams are often beating their brains in by the fourth quarter and take their foot off the gas. That being said, it hasn’t all been gravy for Allen this season. Despite the Bills being 4-1, Allen’s completion percentage is still hovering in the low 60%’s and he’s thrown more interceptions (7) than touchdowns (5). This isn’t a trend likely to continue and it’s worth noting that four of those picks were against a very good New England defense. This should be a cake matchup and Allen’s to-date stats still have him coming a little cheaper than the top-tier arms. He also brings big-time running abilities, ranking fourth in QB rushing yards despite playing a whole game less than the group above him. Kyler Murray FD 7700 DK 6700 Opponent NYG Proj Points FD - 21.44 DK - 22.6 We talked at length about Kyler Murray last week as a cash play, specifically around the idea that it stood to reason his touchdown passes were likely to increase relative to a game-by-game average. That being said, we didn’t think it would all start to correct right away. He threw three TDs against the Falcons in a big game with 340 passing yards. He’s the seventh overall fantasy quarterback despite *still* having four fewer touchdowns than anyone higher than him...
GPP Leverage Plays for Daily Fantasy NFL Week 6 on FanDuel and DraftKings
GPP Leverage Plays for Daily Fantasy NFL Week 6 on FanDuel and DraftKings Welcome back football fans. Earlier in the week, Doug went over the top cash game plays and then he and James broke down every single game on the Mega Podcast. I will take a look at some possible leverage plays in GPP formats that should come with low ownership. When projecting ownership for GPP purposes, I use the tools over at FanShareSports. Nick Chubb FD 7800 DK 7300 Opponent SEA Proj Points FD - 18.07 DK - 19.47 The mid-range is where a lot of people will be going for running backs this week and it makes sense as the tier is loaded with talent in plus situations. The chalk in this range is most definitely going to flow to Leonard Fournette and Le'Veon Bell who both have 20+ tags on FanShare at the moment. After those two, I think ownership then falls on Mark Ingram in an excellent matchup. Projecting things out, there is then a fairly big gap of ownership that I think we can take advantage of with Nick Chubb who is likely going to be sub 10% owned in GPP formats. Like Fournette and Bell, Chubb gets a ton of volume sitting 5th overall in touches per game(21.8) and has made the most of them as he is also 4th in overall scrimmage yards per game(119.2). The Browns are a small home underdog(+1.5) against the Seahawks who have allowed the 4th fewest rushing yards to running backs but also the 2nd fewest attempts resulting in a mid-range 16th rank in DVOA against the rush. With the focus on Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry in the passing game, Chubb is also not going to see a lot of loaded boxes to shut him down. In no way is Chubb safe in this spot or safe for cash games but at half or a third of the ownership as others in the same range, I will take a shot with his enormous upside. Amari Cooper FD 8100 DK 7000 Opponent NYJ Proj Points FD - 14.73 DK - 17.62 Like I mentioned above, the mid-range running back tier is going to be popular this week which automatically pushes...
Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 6 – 10/13/19
Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 6 - 10/13/19 After a crazy scoring Week 5 in the NFL, let's see if things settle down a bit in Week 6. There are 4 teams on a bye, plus an early Sunday London game, so the main slate is a bit smaller than usual. But there's still plenty of cash game value build lineups around. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL and MLB optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterbacks Kyler Murray FD 7700 DK 6500 Opponent ATLProj Points FD - 20.9 DK - 21.65On the season, Kyler Murray is ranked 9th overall in DraftKings quarterback scoring. That doesn’t sound all that impressive until you see that he has seven fewer passing touchdowns than the next closest guy to him on the list above. This isn’t to say the Cardinals are going to just pour on tons of TDs in the name of offensive regression, but I do think it’s safe to assume this number comes up over the course of the season on a per game basis. A big reason for his fantasy gains is his work on the ground. He’s behind only Lamar Jackson in QB rushing yards this season with 206. Atlanta is fresh off a week in which Deshaun Watson torched them through the air and it’s safe(ish) to assume the Cardinals want to keep pace on offense with an Atlanta attack that comes in with the second-highest implied total on the main slate. Matt Ryan FD 8100 DK 6400 Opponent ARIProj Points FD - 22.87 DK - 23.74Speaking of that high total, the Falcons should be in line for a number of points in this game. Arizona and Atlanta are averaging the second and third most average quarterback points per game on DraftKings this season (thank Miami for leading that category) and I do think we see Ryan and Murray as the chalkier cash game plays. For all of Atlanta’s issues as a team, Ryan is still the 6th-best fantasy quarterback on the season mostly because the team is playing in constant catch-up mode. He’s attempted the most passes in the league (222) and is completing them at a 70% clip. The weapons are still there through the air and you have to love the team total. Lamar Jackson FD 8200 DK 6900 Opponent CINProj Points FD - 25.39 DK - 25.57Jackson really struggled in Week 5 against the Steelers, throwing three interceptions and completing only 19 passes in a 26-23 OT win. And even with that rough...

DFS NFL Podcast - Week 6 Preview and Week 5 Recap for FanDuel and DraftKings 10/8/19 The DFSR crew is here for the Week 6 preview and Week 5 recap on the DFS NFL Podcast for FanDuel and DraftKings. The guys look back on the some of the big performances as well as some of the duds and surprises from Week 5 and ahead to Week 6. Week 5 was a crazy scoring week in the DFS (and real NFL) world and the guys take a look at their cash game lineups. They start off by talking about Christian McCaffrey's historic pace this season and how he could end up as the all-time leader in yards from scrimmage when it's all said and done. They cover a couple of MyBookie.com (promo code OVERTIME) bets for the Week 6. There's discussion about safety at running back moving forward and discuss how Le'Veon Bell is among the highest usage backs in the game but plays on a terrible team and has been in some brutal matchups. And at wide receiver they discuss the veritable changing of the guard at the position with names like Chris Godwin and Cooper Kupp easily leading all scorers at the position so far on DraftKings. All of this and more on a Week 5 recap and Week 6...
GPP Leverage Plays for Daily Fantasy NFL Week 5 on FanDuel and DraftKings
GPP Leverage Plays for Daily Fantasy NFL Week 5 on FanDuel and DraftKings Welcome back football fans. Doug went over his top cash game plays earlier in the week and he and Doug also previewed every single game on the slate on the DFSR Mega Podcast. What I will be doing now is breaking down some ownership projections and looking at some projected lower owned stacks that can help us get to GPP glory on Sunday. When projecting ownership for GPP purposes, I use the tools over at FanShareSports. Jameis Winston FD 7600 DK 6200 Opponent NO Proj Points FD - 19.13 DK - 20.16 Mike Evans FD 7700 DK 7100 Opponent NO Proj Points FD - 13.69 DK - 16.01 My goal here is to pivot off the chalk wide receivers at the top this week. This includes DeAndre Hopkins and Julio Jones going up against one another, Keenan Allen the target monster, and even Bucs teammate Chris Godwin. We may not get a discount with Winston(8%-12% projected in GPP) who has been out of this world lately throwing for 380 or more yards in back to back games with seven touchdowns, six of which have gone to Evans and Godwin. They now get another plus matchup against the Saints who rank 26th in DVOA vs. the pass and have allowed the sixth-most fantasy to wide receivers. What I see here from a leverage standpoint is that people are most likely going to be chasing the Godwin monster game last week(12 catches for 172 yards & 3 TD), especially given he is cheaper and has been more consistent overall catching 76% of his targets. Not that I won't have shares in this plus matchup but I love pivoting to Evans who has the same upside but is projected for half the ownership of Godwin and the gap is even larger when talking about Hopkins and Julio. I will have a ton of exposure to the Bucs offense overall, including Godwin who also makes a nice cash play, but will have most exposure pivoted to Evans in GPP formats. Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 5 – 10/6/19
Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 5 - 10/6/19 For most teams, the season is already 25% over. It's crazy how time seems to fly through the NFL season even with basically a week in between games. But with time comes some clarity around teams and what we can expect from both offenses and defenses. Let's take a look at some cash game plays for Week 5 on FanDuel and DraftKings. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL and MLB optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterbacks There’s something of a logjam at quarterback on the main slate this week with a number of guys under center waltzing into advantageous matchups. And it doesn’t help that most of them are all within the same price range. I do think we see QB ownership spread around for Week 5. Lamar Jackson FD 8300 DK 7100 Opponent PIT Proj Points FD - 22.93 DK - 23.8 Through the first four weeks, Lamar Jackson leads all quarterbacks in fantasy scoring thanks in some part to the Lions keeping Patrick Mahomes in check in Week 4. Jackson didn’t need to do much on the ground in Week 1 against the Dolphins, but in the next three games has run for 232 yards and touchdown. He has 107 more yards on the ground than the next closest quarterback. The passing has been hit or miss, though he’s thrown for more than 240 yards in each of the first four games and is completing passes at a 65% clip with a 10/2 TD/INT rate. This week he’ll take on a Steelers’ defense that’s been up and down in their own right. They held the Bengals in check on Monday, but the Patriots, Seahawks and 49ers had no issues moving the ball in previous weeks. Jackson’s floor is as high as you can get at the position considering the rushing yards and he makes for an easy pay-up at the position. Deshaun Watson FD 8000 DK 6700 Opponent ATL Proj Points FD - 21.55 DK - 21.98 Watson draws a solid matchup this week against the Falcons who rank 21st in DVOA against the pass and are below average in yards per pass attempt. Houston enters with the third-highest team total on the main slate (27), behind only New England and Philly, so expect some points from this offense. Watson has been doing an “every other game” kind of thing with solid showings against New Orleans and LA in Weeks 1 and 3, but stinkers in the other two....
