Quarterbacks Jayden Daniels FD 8700 DK 6800 Opponent CLEProj Points FD - 21.6 DK - 21.6 We are going to find some savings this week, especially at wide receiver, so paying up at quarterback isn’t going to be a big deal at all. And there are few better guys to spend up on right now than Jayden Daniels whose spent his first four NFL games looking like one of the best quarterbacks in the league. Through four weeks, he’s second only to Lamar Jackson in quarterback fantasy points, getting after it on the ground with 46 rushes and four TDs already while also completing a crazy 82% of his passes. This simply doesn’t happen for almost any QB, much less a rookie. He’s facing a Browns defense which ranks below average in defensive DVOA and on DraftKings Daniels still isn’t priced correctly. Lamar Jackson FD 8800 DK 7500 Opponent CINProj Points FD - 25.04 DK - 25.04 We just mentioned him, so why not mention him again? Lamar Jackson leads the league in quarterback fantasy scoring, and that’s even with Derrick Henry running absolutely wild in Week 4. He hasn’t been all that efficient through the air, completing just 67% of his passes, but Jackson has five passing touchdowns and has run for a couple more. The Bengals rank 21st in defensive DVOA on the season and the 49 over/under comes in as the second-highest total on the slate. If you can afford it, Lamar Jackson offers a floor considerably higher than almost any other QB going. Consider Deshaun Watson mostly because he’s cheap on DraftKings and is facing the Commanders defense which is about the worst in the league so far. Speaking of bad defenses, Jordan Love faces off against the Rams who’ve been crushed this year on that side of the ball. He’s a bit cheaper than Daniels and Jackson, though doesn’t offer the same sort of rushing floor. Running Back Jordan Mason FD 8700 DK 7400 Opponent ARIProj Points FD - 19.62 DK - 20.29 Another week, another slate to consider playing Jordan Mason. For a guy who was on almost every waiver wire to right up to the point CMC was announced out that first Monday night, he’s turned into a go-to running back this season. His 98 touches (91 rushes + 7 targets) rank only behind Alvin Kamara in terms of usage. Mason plays...

Quarterbacks Jayden Daniels FD 8200 DK 6500 Opponent ARIProj Points FD - 21.86 DK - 21.86 Jayden Daniels already looks like a superstar quarterback, and we are only three weeks into his rookie season. But a primetime game that had him throwing for 254 yards and two touchdowns while also running 39 yards and a score will do that. Now, he gets a Cardinals defense ranked in the bottom third in DVOA so far in a game with the highest total (50.5) on the week. It’s a fantastic spot, and Daniels is primed for another big game. The running gives him such a high floor independent of the game script, and the price, especially on DraftKings, hasn’t fully gotten there yet. Justin Fields FD 6800 DK 5500 Opponent INDProj Points FD - 20.65 DK - 20.65 The Steelers, with Justin Fields as their quarterback, are road favorites heading into Indianapolis this week. What a time to be alive. Fields, filling in for the injured Russell Wilson, has the Steelers 3-0, and he’s looked competent/ good through the first three games. He’s completing 73% of his passes, though the volume has been on the lower side, with the Steelers clearly wanting to run the ball as much as possible. Fields is part of that though, with 28 carries on the season. With dome conditions against a team that likes to play fast, this is a perfect spot for Fields and his DraftKings price is still much too cheap. Running Back Breece Hall FD 8000 DK 7800 Opponent DENProj Points FD - 20.66 DK - 23.4 Breece Hall sits sixth overall in total usage (rushing attempts + targets) on the season and that’s even with the Jets sprinkling in healthy dosages of Braelon Allen along the way. Hall remains one of the best fantasy options around and his 19 passing targets ranks first at the position. The Broncos haven’t been terrible on defense this season, but this is still a good spot for Breece, who hasn’t seen the price move a ton in three weeks. With the Jets -7.5 home favorites, we are in the running back sweet spot in cash. James Conner FD 7500 DK 6500 Opponent WASProj Points FD - 16.95 DK - 18.3 Speaking of running back sweet spots, we are just about there with James Conner as well. The Cardinals are -3.5 home favorites against the Redskins...

Quarterbacks Lamar Jackson FD 8800 DK 7500 Opponent DAL Proj Points FD - 22.71 DK - 22.71 It can feel weird paying all the way up for quarterback on these NFL DFS slates, though it does get a bit easier to do so on FanDuel than DraftKings. There is just a class of guys considerably safer than the rest of the pack, mostly because of the overall rushing attempts and ability to keep the scoring floor higher because of what they can do on the ground. Lamar Jackson is one of those guys, Jalen Hurts is another. Jackson ran a whopping 16 times in the first game of the season, just five in Week 2 against the Raiders. But this is a core part of his game, making up for the lower completion percentage (63%) so far to start the year. The Ravens have the second-highest implied total on the slate heading into Dallas who just got shredded in Week 2. Baker Mayfield FD 7700 DK 6300 Opponent DEN Proj Points FD - 18.97 DK - 18.97 We usually default to running quarterbacks in cash games, for some of the reasons listed with Lamar Jackson, but there is a case for Baker Mayfield here. He's facing off against the Broncos who've been bad on defense, ranking 6th-worst in defensive DVOA through the first two weeks. Mayfield ranks first in QB fantasy scoring through two weeks, is completing 74% of his passes, and has taken off on the ground eight times through three games. I don't mind the floor here and he fits right into that pricing middle ground at the position. Deshaun Watson FD 7300 DK 5500 Opponent NYG Proj Points FD - 20.16 DK - 20.16 Ok, I know, but stick with me here. The Giants stink on defense, and Deshaun Watson is coming very cheap on DraftKings. Where QB savings really matters on that site, I don't mind punting the position from time to time. The completion percentage (58%) is garbage, but there are still weapons here. He does take off and run as well. Again, this is more about the matchup than the actual player. Running Back Alvin Kamara FD 8400 DK 7500 Opponent PHI Proj Points FD - 19.95 DK - 22.29 Through two weeks, Alvin Kamara is the leader in DraftKings scoring (69), and it isn't even close. He's nearly a full decent RB...

Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterbacks Lamar Jackson FD 8800 DK 7700 Opponent LVProj Points FD - 23.38 DK - 23.38 It doesn’t always make sense to pay all the way up for quarterback on these cash slates, but here it might, considering the crazy floor you are getting on Lamar Jackson. The Ravens are -8.5 favorites at home against the Raiders and should have no problem moving the ball at all. Jackson is coming off throwing the ball 41 times and running it a crazy 16 times in Week 1. Sure, that was a shootout against the Chiefs, but the usage is nuts, and few other QBs in the league are going to get this kind of volume + trust. Justin Fields FD 7000 DK 5400 Opponent DENProj Points FD - 20.52 DK - 20.52 Oh baby, ready to go back to this well? We ended up playing a $5K Justin Fields in cash in Week after he was announced the starter for the injured Russell Wilson. It was a punt play for sure, built on the back of his running ability, not his overall quarterback play. Willing to go back to the well in Week 2 at this DraftKings price. The dude ran 14 times for 57 yards, and there’s a lot of safety in that number alone. Plus, he completed 74% of his passes (17/23), though he got only 156 yards out of it. Overall, I think we can play him in cash again even if it doesn’t feel amazing. Running Back Jordan Mason FD 5500 DK 5200 Opponent MINProj Points FD - 15.35 DK - 16.59 Christian McCaffrey is going to sit out Week 2 after being a late scratch heading into Monday night’s game against the Jets. It was something of a surprise (though not to San Fran, who knew on Friday), and Jordan Mason got the full (and I mean full) workload. The latter carried the ball an insane 28 times in the win, totaling 147 yards on the ground with a touchdown. He was a bell cow and even though the passing game work wasn’t there, the dude still played 81% of the offensive snaps. The price didn’t come close to correcting for the role going into this week. Breece Hall FD 8500 DK 7400 Opponent TENProj Points FD - 22.02 DK - 24.62 Breece Hall tied for the 7th-best total usage in Week 1, finishing for...
Daily Fantasy NFL Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Week 1 Sunday 9/8/24
Daily Fantasy NFL Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Week 1 Sunday 9/8/24 We are back, baby. Can you even believe it? Just when you thought the Super Bowl had ended, here we are firing up Week 1 on DraftKings and FanDuel. Where did the spring and summer even go? There's a ton to dive into with this new NFL season, and plenty of value even for the first DFS slate of the year. Let's dive in. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL and MLB optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterbacks Josh Allen FD 9200 DK 8000 Opponent ARIProj Points FD - 27.48 DK - 27.48 Why not start this off right with one of the most expensive and highest-floor quarterbacks we have? If you are looking for safety in the position, this is about as good as it gets. Allen projects the highest at the position entering the season against the Arizona Cardinals in a game with a 48 over/under and Bills -6.5. There are some concerns about Buffalo’s new pass-catching core for sure without Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, but Allen maintains a higher floor because of the rushing and use around the goal line. Plus, it’s in an offense that wants him to throw against a Cardinals team among the bottom in terms of pressure rate last season. The game script here should play out well with the Cardinals, who are also likely to open it up. Anthony Richardson FD 8300 DK 6300 Opponent HOUProj Points FD - 21.66 DK - 21.66 The game is indoors in Indy, the total is at 49, and the Colts should be playing from behind in this one against a high-powered Houston offense. Richardson had 131 yards and four touchdowns on the ground in his first three games before getting hurt last season. That part of his game should remain intact this time around. The biggest question is whether he can make due as a pocket passer. That still remains to be seen, though there were flashes in his short stint as a rookie. In all, we want our cash game quarterbacks to run for that high-floor potential. And that’s the name of this guy’s game. Jayden Daniels FD 7000 DK 5700 Opponent TBProj Points FD - 19.11 DK - 19.11 Speaking of running, Jayden Daniels should do a lot of it, and he’s coming considerably cheaper than both the guys above. The second-overall pick crushed it on the ground in college at LSU, and early signs point to him doing it at the NFL level...
