This service is separate from our NFL projection system.   Quarterbacks Brett Hundley - FD 10200 DK 8500 I’m giddy with Hundley glee anticipating this matchup. Hundley has had a couple duds this year, but UCLA seemed to be a little out of sorts to start the season. In his last two games the Heisman candidate amassed 546 passing yards with 4 TD’s and 183 on the ground with 4 more scores. Add in his 72.5% completion percentage and you can see why I’m excited this week. Now he gets a Colorado defense that couldn’t catch a cold. Colorado ranks 110th against the pass and 82nd against the run, so Hundley and the Bruin offense should have little difficulty moving the ball. Vegas says there’s going to be about 70pts scored in this game and by golly, I believe them. Trevone Boykin - FD 8400 DK 9900 Boykin and TCU have been absolutely white hot lately. You almost wonder if the music is suddenly going to stop. I don’t think so, at least not this week when TCU plays host to Texas Tech. Tech runs a fast-paced, pass-heavy attack, which lends itself to being a great fantasy opponent. More passes means typically means more volume all around. A fast paced offense going against a defense good enough to come up with stops now and again creates more possessions for TCU. Boykin and Co. have been deadly efficient this year and with more possessions could really do serious damage. The Horned Frog momentum is strong right now. Get while its good and...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 9 – Thursday Games

Unlike most Thursday night slates, this week isn't totally awful. But it does present its own unique set of challenges. Mainly, there are multiple players that fall into the same territory and trying to pick the correct guy can be tough. Bridge is freakishly athletic and he is certainly not afraid to showcase those abilities on the regular. I have a soft spot for dual threat QB's and even though some of these other guys do a little with their feet, it's not on the level of Bridge. Troy hasn’t stifled many opponents this and currently sit ranked 107th against the pass and 115thagainst the run. If the goal was highest combined score wins, Troy would be one to watch. It’s not. This has the makings of a blowout with Bridge leading the way Mr. BB is gonna boogie and you don’t want to miss it!!!   Running Backs Duke Johnson - FD 8600 DK 7000 Deep sigh. RB is even more fickle than QB on this short slate. Again, unlike most Thursday slates there are actually multiple backs that offer decent value. I was tempted to lump a few of them in here together with a quick blurb and say to each's own, but "taking the field" just isn't the style here at DFSR. Johnson doesn’t have a great matchup, but these...

Daily Fantasy Football Week 7 Picks – DraftKings – Millionaire Maker Example Lineups

Posted by on Oct 18, 2014 in featured, Uncategorized, Weekly Fantasy College Football Picks | 0 comments

Daily Fantasy Football Picks for Week 7 - DraftKings DFSR is excited to bring you Bryce McVay. Dude knows his stuff and he'll be bringing you picks specifically for DraftKings with an emphasis on that site's scoring system and value. We are pumped to have a great new voice in the DFS landscape. Ready to make the leap and get access to the exclusive projection system that produces these picks? Sign up now and get a free 3 day trial to our lineup construction tool for FanDuel, Draftster, and DraftKings. And now - for the next month - you can get access to our Football projection tools AND our baseball projection tools for the same price! Sick deal. Want picks for FanDuel, Draftster, and Draftday as well? Check em out. I hope you read my Week 7 Thursday article “To Fade, or Not to Fade. That is the Question…or is it?” I discussed the ideas behind considering a player’s utilization rate and why this should very rarely play a part in our analysis. More importantly, I gave you a mock lineup for this week’s millionaire maker and promised that I would give you one more at the risk of my own embarrassment (or worse, chopping up 1mil because I couldn't keep these to myself).   I’ll be the first to tell you it’s very unlikely either of these lineups crack the top 100. My cash rate in the millionaire maker is 34%. I cashed on 7 of 15 lineups in week 4 and 10 of 35 in week 5. Considering the Millionaire Maker pays the top 15,000 of the 90,000+ entrants (~top 17%), I’ll gladly take a 34% success rate. The bad news is I still haven’t sniffed a four figure payout from this tournament. Unfortunately, an element of luck has to be on your side for you to see those kinds of gains. But hell, just like the lotto, you can’t win if you don’t play.   Week 7 Picks: Millionaire Maker Lineup Team B Since I am such a considerate writer, here is the team I recommended on Thursday. Colin Kaepernick DK $6,500, Jamaal Charles DK $6,700, Arian Foster DK $8,300, Brandon Marshall DK $6,300, Justin Hunter DK $3,700, Golden Tate DK $5,900, Jermaine Gresham DK $3,500, Justin Forsett DK $5,600, Buffalo Bills $3,300. I will not be including any of these picks in the lineup below, but normally I do overlap picks. If you have enough bankroll to make multiple lineups you should be using your top picks in multiple lineups while rearranging the boom/bust picks. Quarterback Derek Carr DK $5,800 Ok, I know what you’re thinking. This idiotic daily fantasy “expert” is telling me to...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Saturday Late 10/18/14

This service is separate from our NFL projection system.   Quarterbacks Justin Thomas - FD 7000 DK 8300 So I’m highlighting Thomas, not because I think he is one of the best plays, but my radar is up that he is getting tons of consideration and will be a popular play. Yes, I will be running Thomas, but only on Fanduel. I’m just not in love with his Draftking’s price given his lack of consistency. Thomas is very, VERY capable of crushing his number and this is one of the best matchups he has seen all year. So the attention is certainly warranted. The Ramblin Wreck runs a version of the option, so their QB is usually in a position to be a fantasy star. The game has an even line with a total of 68. There is enough good going on here that you should feel more than okay using Thomas on Fanduel across all formats. On Draftkings I would be a little hesitant with cash games. Tyrone Swoopes - FD 5700 DK 5300 I’m all in on the Longhorn signal caller and his newly established connection with John Harris. His price is still down in the value range and for good reason. Swoopes has only played five career games and some of them have been ugly. I love his price and I love his matchup even more. Iowa State has been getting torched by QB’s lately and nothing should change this week. Even more enticing is the fact Tyrone is starting to do more with his feet. He has double digit carries...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Saturday Early 10/18/14

This service is separate from our NFL projection system.   Quarterbacks AJ Long - FD 5500 DK 4200 Long comes with a little built in risk. He took his first collegiate snaps last week so there is zero track record to get any type of feel where he is in his career progression. Still, at these prices the risk is somewhat mitigated. Plus, it’s Wake Forest. Long could be anything from Hero to Zero, but I think the chances of a total dud are pretty low. I’m more than willing to accept a slight miss from Long because his price allows for stronger plays in other areas. A starting QB against a team like Wake Forest (no disrespect Deacons), at this price offers safety and upside. I honestly can’t get a read if Long will be a heavy start or not, but he can be used across all formats. Bryce Petty - FD 10500 DK 10400 On the complete other side of the spectrum, we find Bryce Petty and the Baylor Bears. Sometimes picking skill position players from offensive teams like Baylor and Oregon can be traps. They score so many points and all of their guys just ooze potential, but they usually have so many athletes that it’s easy to miss which of the skills guys is going to get the production. One thing that is a constant is the guy delivering the ball to all those athletes. Petty is the starting QB for a team that scores in buckets in a game with an 81 over/under. Let me repeat that, an 81...

Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Thursday-Friday Games 10/16/14

This service is separate from our NFL projection system.   Quarterbacks Grant Hedrick - FD 8900 DK 8300 I never feel comfortable recommending the highest priced guy at a position. It feels lame. Unfortunately, these Thursday/Friday leagues typically don’t offer a smorgasbord of solid options. QB is a keystone position in your lineup so it is important to get it right. On paper, Hedrick easily offers the highest floor and highest scoring potential compared to the field. This one isn’t so much about value because on short nights I tend to shift some focus towards actual points vs points per dollar. Fresno is, statistically, an abomination on defense both through the air and on the ground. I wouldn’t say he is a must start and he has had some duds, but this matchup does not appear to be much of a risk in that area. The highest total on the board at 63 with Boise as a 17 point favorite points to Bronco players getting their Twerk on.   Running Backs Jay Ajayi - FD 10400 DK 9400 I know, even more lame huh? Well, Jay is a lot like Hedrick whereas he’s the best back on the board both for safety and highest actual points. Plus that other superlatives that Hedrick has going for him. There are few differences. Hedrick is a strong relative the field. Ajayi is a strong play because of his overall package, against any field. Although true, that’s not really why he is a little different than Hedrick. Ajayi is a do-it-all back and option 1, 2, and 3...
