Quarterback Marquise Williams If you want to spend up Williams is the guy I would target. Considering his duel threat capabilities and North Carolina's ability to score he has what he needs to open the season on a high note. Williams was a little erratic last season. Over the last four weeks Williams had a high of 47 fantasy points and a low of 4 and no, he didn’t get hurt during that 4pt performance. Considering his tag I would prefer a bit more consistency, but regardless this game has the right ingredients to buy some Marquise shares. Williams is a dark horse Heisman candidate and has the ability to light teams up through the air or on the ground. With a plethora of receivers the Gamecocks may have difficulty covering the entire field. If SC is able to cover the wide outs it will undoubtedly leave Williams space up the middle to gash them with his feet. Vegas says this will be a high scoring tightly contested matchup and if that holds true Williams could be the QB play of the night. On Fanduel it's really hard to get away from a 5100 Sirk, but on DK where you need two QB's it’s a whole different story and I will look to have Williams on a few of my rosters. Thomas Sirk Sirk is currently listed as the Blue Devils starter replacing All-ACC signal caller, Anthony Boone. The Dukies may take a step back this year with the loss of Boone and Crowder, but that doesn’t mean we still can't find value scattered throughout their roster. I bring you Sirk. At 6'5" 220lbs he's a big physical athlete who isn't afraid to get his nose dirty as evidenced by his 8 rushing touchdowns on just 47 carries. I could tell you that Sirk has a career completion percentage of 71% and it would be true, but with only 14 passing attempts I won't try to sell you on...

Just scroll to the bottom of the picks. This is a separate service than our traditional monthly membership. Irwin Tools Night Race Bristol Motor Speedway - Bristol, TN Track Type/Length - .533 Mile Oval Short Track Matt Kenseth dominated, leading 146 laps and taking the checkered flag at the Pure Michigan 400 for his 2nd win in 3 weeks. The Joe Gibbs Racing team kept up the torrid pace they have been on lately with all four cars finishing in the top 11. The JGR team is carrying a lot of momentum into the Chase and should have all four cars competing for a title this year. Another team on a nice run as of late is the Penske team. With all that JGR has been doing lately, the Penske team has been under the radar so to speak. Between Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski, they have only finished outside the top 10 once in the previous five races. Another team building nice momentum going into the Chase. The rules package for Michigan didn't turn out to be a success like NASCAR had hoped. Passing was actually down from the June race at Michigan and drivers were not happy(are they ever?). NASCAR did, however, announce that there will be no rules package changes for the 10 races in the Chase for the Sprint Cup. Now we move to a race where there aren't really any changes that could make it any better than it already is. This week NASCAR and it's teams head to Bristol, Tennessee for the Irwin Tools Night Race. This is by far my favorite track and race of the year. Short track racing, especially Bristol, creates bumping and banging throughout the entire race. The chances of there being a clean car with no dings at the end of race is slim to none. Bristol has been nicknamed "The Worlds Fastest Half Mile" for a reason. Drivers reach speeds of up to 130 mph in short straightaways here before breaking hard and turning on the sharp 24 - 30 degree banked corners. Track position will be key here again this week as it always is at Bristol. When looking back at the 109 races run...

Outback Bowl - Wisconsin vs. Auburn Game Preview Happy New Year folks and glad we’re kicking off 2015 with some college football action. At high noon we got the Badgers tangling with the Tigers. This is an amazing slate of games today and we’re starting off with some of the best players in the country. Heisman candidates, Nick Marshall from Auburn and Melvin Gordon from Wisconsin, will surely steal the headlines in this one. Gordon broke the NCAA single game rushing record (406 L. Tomlinson 11/20/99) that stood for 15 years and he did it just 3 quarters of play with 408 yards. One week later Samaje Perine from Oklahoma ran for 427 yards. You think Gordon wants that 4th quarter back? Auburn is pretty good at stopping the run, but stopping the run and stopping Gordon can be two totally different things. Wisconsin is also good at stopping the run, but stopping Auburn’s ground game is also different. Marshall is a very dangerous duel threat quarterback and if the Badgers leave gaps Marshall will find them. Cameron Artis-Payne is no slouch by his own rights and although Wisconsin is strong upfront he should still be somewhat effective. If you like teams that run the ball then you will want to watch this one. Players to Watch (AUB) Nick Marshall, Cameron Artis-Payne, Sammie Coates (WISC) Melvin Gordon Fantasy Analysis As good as Gordon is I think you can make a strong argument to fade him here. Auburn isn’t exactly a stone wall, but they are kind of tough against the run. Gordon will get his, but it likely won’t be near what he needs to hit value. This isn’t a case of Gordon...

Music City Bowl – Notre Dame vs. LSU Game Preview Right as you realize how much Tuesdays suck you can tune into the Music City Bowl when the Tigers battle the Fighting Irish. The only thing giving Notre Dame a chance in this one is Everett Golson. Golson is far from a polished drop back quarterback, but he is as athletic as anyone and if he is in zone, making good decisions, he can wreak havoc on just about anyone. He will have to be just that because LSU is a top 10 defense (8). The player to keep an eye on for the Tigers is Leonard Fornette. He is expected to become a super star for LSU, but his freshman has been somewhat underwhelming. The Tigers do have a talented backfield so there was no need to rush him into service, but when given the opportunity he has shown flashes of what’s to come. I think Fornette may give the entire nation a glimpse of what’s to come against Notre Dame. Sorry Irish, this won’t be your day. Players to Watch (LSU) Leonard Furnette (ND) Everett Golson/Malik Zaire, Tarean Folson, Will Fuller Fantasy Analysis I won’t have a ton of exposure to this game because it just doesn’t match up well. In general, I really like the big three from ND, but LSU is legit on defense and the risk of missing value is greater than I like for cash games. LSU has been gashed, at times, by the run this year so Folson could find some room and you can never discount a freakish athlete at quarterback. The potential is there, but...

Texas A&M vs. West Virginia coming at you 2pm EST. This one should be exciting to watch and really should have been the last game on docket. A&M has had a very tumultuous season. After putting the nation on notice with a dominating road win week 1 at SC, A&M went 6-5 the rest of the way and never showed what they showed that night. Kenny Hill was supposed make us all forget about Johnny Football and the only thing that has been forgotten is Kenny Hill. Kyle Allen replaced Hill and the roller coaster ride continued for the Aggies. Allen has some nice games and some real clunkers. Their success against an underrated WV defense will rest solely on the arm of Allen. WV runs a balanced offense with a fair amount of talent at the skilled positions. They are four deep at RB with Smallwood & Shell leading the way, but they butter the dinner rolls through the passing game. This is where it gets interesting. Trickett retired from football due to ongoing concussion issues and now the Mountaineers will turn to Skyler Howard. White & Alford are very talented receivers and A&M will likely struggle to stop them both. Fireworks alert. Players to Watch (A&M) Kyle Allen, ALL receivers (WV) Skyler Howard, Shell/Smallwood, White/Alford Fantasy Analysis Texas A&M stinks out loud against the run so the backs from WV could be in for a nice day. The issue is the workload. It appears the Mountaineers are locked in to a back by committee approach and that kills the fantasy value...

Heart of Dallas Bowl – Illinois vs. Louisiana Tech Game Preview Tis the day after Christmas and all through the house, all the TV’s are on….You get the point. After a one day pause for some holiday or something we have football again. The Heart of Dallas Bowl will feature Illinois versus a feisty Louisiana Tech team. The best player on the field will be Tech’s underrated back, Kenneth Dixon. Dixon rushed for over 1200 yards and scored 26 touchdowns (5 receiving). All that should come in handy against Illinois’ 120th ranked rushing defense. Sokol has been admirable at quarterback throwing for 29 touchdowns compared to 13 interceptions. Tech doesn’t feature a slew of talented receivers, but Trent Taylor is dangerous enough to draw the defenses attention. Illinois has been slightly better on offense, but far from consistent. They have put together some nice offensive games and even though Josh Ferguson is a talent at running back, it has mostly been through the air. They could struggle against a reasonably tough Tech defense. Players to Watch (LaTech) Cody Sokol, Kenneth Dixon, Trent Taylor (Ill) Josh Ferguson, Mike Dudek Fantasy Analysis Dixon’s tag is high, but it stands to reason he can still hit value against a very suspect Illinois defense. The offense runs through him so his floor should be fairly set based on the expected volume and he is the surest bet to score a touchdown. Sokol makes a nice GPP play, but he is a little too inconsistent for your cash game needs. Trent Taylor is in play as well. I don’t really envision any Illini players making my lineups. I don’t think Ferguson will have a good game, but he is capable so feel free to...
