Point Guard Jrue Holiday FD - $9300 DK - $8200Opponent - CLEProj Pts FD - 47.41 DK - 50.37 The Bucks are still going to be without Giannis Antetokounmpo in this game which should, once again, provide a big opportunity to Holiday. The Bucks lost in overtime on Friday without Giannis of Chris Middleton and it remains to be seen if they decide to limit Jrue here because he ran 44 minutes in all. Fantasy-wise, he was everything you wanted, dropping 40 points while adding five rebounds and assists each. The price moved some on both sites, but not enough especially on DraftKings. If he’s starting tonight, even if Middleton is back then I think you have a pretty easy play here. Donovan Mitchell FD - $8300 DK - $9300Opponent - WASProj Pts FD - 44.01 DK - 47.73 It looks like Utah is going to be without Mike Conley in this game and, in the past, that has meant a usage uptick for Donovan Mitchell. With Conley off the court this season, Mitchell has a 35% usage rate and the assist rate ticks up about 6% as well. I think we are going to have plenty of ways to save on this slate and there aren’t a ton of top-end payoffs on either site. With that in mind, we are likely locked into just playing some higher floor guys and rounding out the salary on the lower end. That’s the case with Mitchell here who is in a good spot. Miami has had to run Lowry a lot of minutes in the short term with the team thin in the backcourt. That could be the case again and this time he faces off against an Orlando team that ranks second-to-last in defensive efficiency while playing the sixth-fastest pace. That’s a perfect intersection of speed and incompetence that we are looking to target in DFS. Lowry has double-digit shot attempts in each of the last four games and has 10+ assists in two of them. This is such a good spot and his FanDuel price hasn’t moved enough. Meanwhile, Gabe Vincent has stuck in the starting lineup with Butler out and Herro still coming off the bench when healthy. He’s played 30+ minutes in each of the last three games and even put up 26 points on 8-16 shooting last time out. Those shot attempts were on the high side, but they came in a close win over the Sixers on Wednesday, which is a good sign. The price has ticked up some but I think we are still in good shape considering the matchup. And he’s shown he can add some assists and rebounds as well. This is lining up for him to be a cash game value. Shooting Guard Jrue Holiday FD - $8200 DK - $7900Opponent - NOProj Pts FD - 44.94 DK - 48 The Bucks are without some key players in this game against the Pelicans, most importantly Giannis Antetokounmpo who is in the protocols right now. Jrue should see plenty of minutes in this game and is coming off a 26 point, 14 assist performance against the Pacers the other night. That one was without Middleton as well, who should be back tonight. But no Giannis and Bobby Portis means plenty of usage to go around against a New Orleans team ranked...

Quarterback Derek Carr FD 7500 DK 6000 Opponent CLE Proj Points FD - 1.56 DK - 1.56 By default, Derek Carr is our top quarterback on Saturday. Baker Mayfield tested positive for Covid, Carson Wentz faces the #2 overall defense in New England, and Mac Jones is coming off a two-attempt performance and is averaging just 20 attempts per game over his last five. Volume has not been an issue for Carr who is averaging 40.1 attempts over his last three games and has been accurate, as well, completing 70% of those passes. The matchup doesn't jump off the page as the Browns have allowed the 7th fewest passing yards but do rank 20th in DVOA against the pass. Making the matchup more appealing this week is the fact the Browns are not only dealing with injuries but also a C-19 breakout which has both starting safeties and two of their top three corners questionable. Fire up Carr in all formats. Mac Jones FD 7000 DK 5200 Opponent IND Proj Points FD - 13.72 DK - 14.25 There is much less safety with this pick as Jones is coming off an almost unbelievable three-pass-attempt performance against Buffalo. While that is likely a one-off due to the wind and heavy run gameplan, Jones has still been inconsistent in his rookie season but what I do like is the potential 4-5x upside and his price which allows you to load up at RB/WR/TE. The matchup is also very intriguing as the Colts rank Top 5 in run defense but 17th in DVOA against the pass. It is very risky as the floor is very low but for GPP formats, I am on board considering the upside and ability to spend up elsewhere. Running Back Jonathan Taylor FD 10200 DK 9000 Opponent NE Proj Points FD - 22.01 DK - 23.42 With Derrick Henry out with injury, the often underrated Jonathan Taylor has quickly taken on the "best running back in football" tag, and for good reason. He has rushed for 100 or more yards in seven of...

With Luka off the court this season, Brunson has a 25.6% usage rate, the second-highest on the team in that scenario. He just takes over the bulk of the offense making this a very easy play. Sure, last game it was 25 minutes and the run got burned off, but that was in the blowout over the Hornets. He still got in 13 points and eight assists. Against the Lakers, who’ve struggled on defense this season, it seems like an easy play to roster him considering the workload he should get in a close game. Jrue Holiday FD - $8000 DK - $7500Opponent - INDProj Pts FD - 39.86 DK - 42.92 Over the last couple of seasons, Jrue Holiday has a 29% usage rate when Giannis is off the court. He becomes one of the focal points of the offense when the Bucks are forced to go in a different direction. And that’s going to be the case on Wednesday against the Pacers. Plus, there’s a chance that Khris Middleton misses this one with the issues around his hyper-extended knee. This would all line up for Jrue to be a chalk play here on this slate considering the Bucks are coming in a bit compromised. I don't think we need to overthink this move all that much considering the circumstances.  Shooting Guard Armoni Brooks FD - $4800 DK - $5500Opponent - CLEProj Pts FD - 31.03 DK - 33.52 Eric Gordon’s been ruled out of this game along with Kevin Porter Jr. and the Rockets are probably already in a load of trouble. Brooks will get the start here at the wing though he’ll have some ball-handling responsibilities as well considering how thin the Rockets are in that department right now. For the most part, Paul has seen an uptick in usage with Devin Booker out of the lineup and has taken 14+ shots in two of the last three games. And the assists remain elite with an average of 10 per game over the last five. This is an elite matchup against a Portland team that ranks as the fourth-worst defense in basketball this season. I don’t think Paul has been priced up enough for the matchup and the opportunity. Fred VanVleet FD - $8500 DK - $8600Opponent - BKNProj Pts FD - 42.27 DK - 45.94 The Raptors come in as 9-point road underdogs against Brooklyn on Thursday. But with such a small slate we are going to have to face blowout scenarios and be okay with it. VanVleet’s minutes are among the safest in the league right now, consistently running in the high 30’s when the game stays and close. And even though they are on the second half of the back-to-back, the Raptors blew out the Kings and didn’t have a ton of run on Monday. VanVleet is getting up about 16 shots per game and has shot the ball well from three, hitting about 39% from beyond the arc. The minutes at this price point are what make him a solid cash option and we hope Toronto can stay in this one. Shooting Guard Alec Burks FD - $5600 DK - $6300Opponent - GSProj Pts FD - 31.62 DK - 33.55 Derrick Rose FD - $6200 DK - $5000Opponent - GSProj Pts FD - 28.93 DK - 31.3 Burks is off the injury list for this game in one that the Knicks might be playing shorthanded. The Grizzlies are 6-1 since their superstar went down with an injury and have scrapped out wins over teams who, at least in theory, should be much better than them. Now, they’ll get another scrappy team that’s putting up a fight recently as well. But the Rockets, for all their punch, remain one of the best DFS matchups around. Jones is averaging 11 points and more than seven assists per game over the last five and the minutes have been more consistent in the short-term as well. Getting up double-digit shots in two of the last three helps with the scoring and he’s had two or more steals in five of the last six. He’s a pretty easy play in this situation. Meanwhile, De’Anthony Melton got the starting nod on Thursday against the Lakers when the Grizzlies also lost Dillon Brooks. The latter is going to be out again this game so Melton should be running with the starting unit again. The fantasy points per minute weren’t as amazing for him in that game compared to his bench role, but I still think he’s a pretty easy play here once again. The DraftKings price is especially cheap for what he can provide when given the run. Shooting Guard Desmond Bane FD - $6600 DK - $7200Opponent - HOUProj Pts FD - 40.26 DK - 42.62 The second-year shooting guard has been something of a revelation for this team, especially as they keep losing players. Over the last four games, when Memphis has really needed offense, he’s taken 15 or more shots each time and is averaging 22 points per game in that stretch. He’s shot close to 50% from three in the short-term which is a little run hot, but this guy has just looked like an NBA scorer when given the chance. And he’s able to contribute across the box score as well. He’s averaging five rebounds and two steals over the last...
