Pitchers Yu Darvish FD 9400 DK 9500 Opponent - ARI (Madison Bumgarner) Park - ARIFD - 39.11 DK - 21.31 Darvish saw his numbers dip a bit last season, though the 4.22 ERA definitely ran a bit bad considering the 3.75 xFIP was about a half a run lower. He still struck out closer to 11 batters per nine and walked fewer than 2.5 in that span. He’s getting one of the better matchups on the day against the Diamondbacks and is coming in at a -148 road favorite. The Diamondbacks still project to be one of the worst teams in baseball this season, though that’s a bit more on their staff than on the bats. This is still a good spot for Darvish though with the conditions. Adam Wainwright FD 8000 DK 7500 Opponent - PIT (JT Brubaker) Park - PITFD - 36.71 DK - 18.5 Adam Wainwright doesn’t have the same kind of K upside from some other arms we have going on this slate which is always a slightly iffy proposition. But he does come in with easily the best win odds on the day considering the Cardinals are -205 home favorites against the Pirates. The game’s 8 over/under suggest not many runs are going up on the board and that the Pirates are going to struggle, which makes sense considering their projected lineup. Wainwright wasn’t quite as good as his 3.05 ERA would suggest with the 3.87 xFIP trailing by about three-quarters a run. But the matchup and win expectation are the best of the slate here. Corbin Burnes FD 11200 DK 8300 Opponent - CHC (Kyle Hendricks) Park - CHCFD - 39.9 DK - 22.43 The Cubs project to finish near the bottom of the NL this season and that makes for a good spot with Corbin Burnes today. Games are already getting canceled across the slate, though it looks like this one in Chicago should hold up. Burnes is coming off a 2021 Cy Young bid and the stuff was completely elite. He struck out 12.6 batters per nine and had a close to a 7:1 K:BB rate. The 2.30 xFIP is about as good as you’ll ever see as well. It was just a fantastic season. So, yeah, this is a must-win. Luckily it’s against the Rockets and Brooklyn is currently -17.5 home favorites. It should be an easy win, but nothing about this season has been easy. Kyrie should still be in line for a lot of minutes and major usage even though he’s not been as efficient of late. But he’s taken 22 or more shots in three of the last four games, putting up 24+ in the last three. He’s an excellent play on both sites, and we can probably just pair him with Durant in cash games. Tre Jones FD - $3700 DK - $4000Opponent - DENProj Pts FD - 32.21 DK - 33.86 Dejounte Murray is still out sick so Tre Jones is going to get the start again for the Spurs who are definitely trying to make the play-in game over the Lakers at this point. Jones has played 33 and 34 minutes respectively over the last two, averaging 13 points, six rebounds, and eight assists in that stretch. The DraftKings and FanDuel prices are both no-brainers on this slate even with the tougher matchup against the Nuggets. He’s just coming too cheap considering the opportunity and so much fantasy production opens up for the Spurs with Murray off of the court. Caris LeVert FD - $5400 DK - $7000Opponent - ORLProj Pts FD - 34.41 DK - 36.84 The Cavs are still trying to find their way out of the play-in game though that’s looking like an uphill battle at this point. It’s likely that they finish in the 8th or 9th seed and they’ve now lost six of their last eight games with all of the injuries really catchup up here. It should still be a close one though and we know the Hawks will run Trae huge minutes down the stretch. He’s scored 30 or more points in three of his last five games with 15+ assists in two of those. The Nets’ defense has been suspect at times this season and the pace should be there. This game’s 241 total is 10 points higher than the next closest game on the day. Kyrie Irving FD - $9200 DK - $10300Opponent - ATLProj Pts FD - 51.01 DK - 54.51 It’s probably going to make sense to stack as much of this Brooklyn Nets - Atlanta Hawks game as possible considering the total and the context around each team. The Nets are now going to be without Goran Dragic and Bruce Brown for this one who are both out with illness and Seth Curry remains somewhat limited. That could mean minutes in the 40s for Kyrie who the team will need in every way imaginable. The price on FanDuel is such that I think you are getting him somewhat at a bargain if the scoring upside could really be there in the matchup. James Harden FD - $10100 DK - $10000Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 51.14 DK - 55.81 Looking at the all-day aspect of NBA’s action on Saturday, the 76ers are in a great spot against the Hornets. Charlotte plays the third-fastest pace in the league this season with a defense that’s decidedly below average. That’s a great place to be for opposing offenses and Philly is still fighting for home-court advantage at least through the first round of the playoffs. And on a per minute basis, this is one of the best fantasy performers we have going this season. He’s nearly averaging a triple-double on the season with 21 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 8.4 assists while also piling on steals at times. Oh, and they play the Blazers who are basically the worst team in the NBA right now. De'Anthony Melton FD - $5600 DK - $5200Opponent - PHOProj Pts FD - 32.62 DK - 34.62 The Grizzlies are sitting Tyus Jones, Desmond Bane, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Steven Adams in this game meaning there will be quite a bit of opportunity from some others in the lineup. It could also mean they get completely blown out by Phoenix, though the latter is currently just -7.5 road favorites against Memphis. Melton should grab the start here at point guard and has shown he can pile up stats even in limited run. Over the last six games, playing an average of just 23 minutes, Melton is averaging 20 points and five rebounds. If we push the run to even around 30 he’s a cash game play even at middle-tier pricing. Théo Maledon FD - $6400 DK - $6800Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 34.96 DK - 37.65 With the Thunder completely in the tank, they are sitting nearly anyone with the real NBA chops, and it’s hit the backcourt particularly hard. But from a fantasy perspective, we can definitely still live with some of these plays. Maledon for instance has been good in the short term since taking over in the starting role four games ago....

Even for a four-seed, Dallas is still fighting to stay out of the play-in game and this win could almost seal it they will stick in the top six. Luka is Luka, averaging 30 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists over the last month, and will now face a Lakers team ranked 21st on defense and allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to opponents over the last two months. Cade Cunningham FD - $7700 DK - $8800Opponent - BKNProj Pts FD - 39.62 DK - 43.18 Jerami Grant is going to sit the rest of the season and this is now fully Cade’s team for the remainder. The rookie has played 35 or more minutes in 10 of the last 12 games and in that stretch has averaged 22 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists while also getting to two blocks+steals. He’s just becoming an elite fantasy performer, well in line with expectation considering the pedigree. He’s a little expensive on DraftKings, but not on FanDuel where he’s still coming under $8K. There is definitely blowout concern here against Brooklyn who is -13.5 home favorites and desperately needing a win. But I think we can take the risk on Cade here because there is, for sure, upside. Russell Westbrook FD - $8100 DK - $8800Opponent - DALProj Pts FD - 40.58 DK - 45.46 Well, the Lakers are officially a mess. Lebron James is doubtful with an ankle injury, Anthony Davis still isn’t back and now they sit only a half-game out of the 11th seed thanks to a Spurs win over the Rockets on Monday. The dude rarely turns the ball over and if this one is close should push somewhere in the mid-30s for minutes. He lost minutes in the blowout last game, but has double-digit assists upside if things stay close here against Milwaukee. The price hasn’t moved enough for the opportunity Jones has with Ja out of the lineup and is a good mid-tier play on this slate. Davion Mitchell FD - $5900 DK - $6000Opponent - ORLProj Pts FD - 31.09 DK - 33.53 The Kings have been crushed by injuries and are going to be without De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis once again on Saturday. It’s good that they get a matchup against another bottom-feeding team and we should see a ton of minutes for Davion Mitchell once again. Over the last four games, Mitchell has averaged 21 points and six assists, taking a team-high 16 shots per game in that stretch. And he’s been even better over the last two. I love the prices on both sites and think he is a safe play in this matchup considering how short on guards the Kings are right now. Dillon Brooks FD - $6100 DK - $5800Opponent - MILProj Pts FD - 34.6 DK - 36.6 Desmond Bane FD - $7800 DK - $7800Opponent - MILProj Pts FD - 38.19 DK - 41.32 With Ja Morant out of the lineup, much more of the offensive load falls on the shoulders of these two who should see plenty of opportunity on Saturday against the Bucks.
