Pitchers Carlos Rodón FD 11100 DK 10100 Opponent - OAK (Daulton Jefferies) Park - OAKFD - 49.8 DK - 27.75 Rodon had the best season of his career in 2021 and has somehow found a way to improve on it this time around. He’s been an ace’s ace over his last 150 innings or so, striking out close to 13 batters per nine innings and cutting down the walk rate considerably. His first 17 innings in a Giants’ uniform this season have been electric and he gets a good matchup against the A’s on Monday and is a whopping -269 home favorite, the second-best of any pitcher on this slate. This is a pretty easy call all things considered and I suspect he’s the highest-owned pitcher on the slate. Luis Severino FD 8300 DK 9200 Opponent - BAL (Jordan Lyles) Park - BALFD - 37.71 DK - 20.3 After struggling mightily with injuries over the last couple of seasons, it looks like Luis Severino is back now and has had a great start to this season. Through his first 13 innings this year, the righty has a 25% K rate with an ERA in the low-2’s. The 3.26 xFIP shows that he’s been running a bit hot, but you have to like that he’s gone five innings in each of the last two. And now’s he’s a -289 home favorite, which are the best win odds on the slate. I think Rodon is the better play, but Severino rings in as a SP2 on DraftKings and an upside play on FanDuel if you decide to fade Rodon over there. Catcher/First Base Yasmani Grandal FD 2400 DK 4200 Opponent - KC (Daniel Lynch) Park - KCFD - 11.33 DK - 8.34 The White Sox face off against the lefty Daniel Lynch on Tuesday and have one of the highest implied run lines on the slate. Lynch has been mostly below average for his career, failing to deliver much in the way of strikeouts while sporting a 5.13 xFIP over his first 78 innings. Grandal has really struggled out of the gate this season but for his career, the switch-hitter has been better against southpaws. He moves up in the order with the injury to Eloy Jimenez and the price is way down because he’s started so slow. This is a good time to buy. Freddie Freeman FD 3900 DK...

Point Guard / Shooting Guard Ja Morant FD - $9900 DK - $9900Opponent - MINProj Pts FD - 55.99 DK - 57.23 Ja struggled in Game 4 and the Grizzlies ended up losing. The series is now knotted, but this guy is a total bargain at these prices. There’s a good chance we see him push towards the 40 minutes from Game 3. In that one he had a triple-double a 16/10/10 line. One would have to think the run should be similar here as well and I think Ja coming at sub-10K on both sites is about as good a deal as you can get. Did the T-Wolves figure something out defensively here? No, of course not. I think he’s a pretty easy play here and the price makes it a good call because as long as he gets full run there’s almost no way he doesn’t hit value. Jimmy Butler FD - $10800 DK - $9200Opponent - ATLProj Pts FD - 49.23 DK - 51.04 Butler is now close to an $11K player on FanDuel and frankly, he’s playing like one. While he might be a bit too expensive over there, he’s coming at something of a bargain on DraftKings considering the way he’s playing in this series. And Kyle Lowry being out again helps the chances of him putting up another monster line. He’s averaging 31 points per game for the series and has put up double-digit rebounds in each of the last two. The assist rate goes up with Lowry off the court and he’s gotten after it on the defensive end as well. In short, he’s just been playing as good as it gets and I think he’s a great starting place for cash games. Tyler Herro FD - $5500 DK - $6500Opponent - ATLProj Pts FD - 35.1 DK - 37.29 Max Strus FD - $4400 DK - $4600Opponent - ATLProj Pts FD - 24.96 DK - 27.27 Kyle Lowry is going to sit again on Tuesday which puts us in a weird spot with the Heat. On the one hand, it would seem like Herro would be an auto-play at these prices with Miami missing their...

Guards Luka Doncic FD - $10400 DK - $10600 Opponent - UTA Proj Pts FD - 50.98 DK - 56.03 Donovan Mitchell FD - $8900 DK - $8800 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 47.48 DK - 52.27 No reason to start anywhere else for the guard position than in this game. Let's start with Luka who made his return to the lineup for the first time in the series and looked good playing 34 min, taking 21 shots from the field(10 from behind the arc), and posting a double-double on 30 points and 10 rebounds. The price in the $10K range gives us a very nice PTS/$ floor here with a ton of upside as Doncic should get extended run in his second game. On the other side of this game, we have Donovan Mitchell who is my top PTS/$ play on the entire slate. Through four games in this series, he is averaging over 40 minutes, averaging 25 shots a game, and has dropped at least 45 DK/43 FD points in all four. Elite play in all formats. James Harden FD - $9200 DK - $9200 Opponent - TOR Proj Pts FD - 52.71 DK - 58.04 With the likely guard ownership with the two above, we might get Harden at a bit of an ownership discount tonight and if that's the case, sign me up! He may not be getting the volume like the two guards above but he is an elite contributor in almost every category and is averaging just over 45 fantasy points a game(5x at these prices) on both sites. With Embiid banged up and playing through injury, Harden could most definitely take on more usage which would make his price massively underpriced for the upside. Marcus Smart FD - $6000 DK - $6300 Opponent - BKN Proj Pts FD - 34.6 DK - 36.96 There isn't a whole lot of value on this slate but the system does like the PTS/$ floor with Marcus Smart. The upside is somewhat limited but he has been a solid producer against the Nets through three games scoring 12 or more points and dishing out five or more assists...

Point Guard / Shooting Guard Jrue Holiday FD - $8000 DK - $8300Opponent - CHIProj Pts FD - 46.04 DK - 49.26 The Bucks played a weird game on Friday in that they blew out the Bulls in a game where that didn’t seem like that should be the case. With Khris Middleton on the shelf, the series seemed like the Bulls could get back in this thing and we’d be seeing something close to an even matchup. Nope. That being said, I think we get something close to an even game in this one and Jrue is still very much a cash play at these prices. In only 30 minutes last time around, Holiday put up 16 points, six rebounds, and six assists. It’s a great sign and the price didn’t move at all. This is one of the easier plays on the slate considering the context and he’ll probably be one of the higher-owned guys. Zach LaVine FD - $6900 DK - $7400Opponent - MILProj Pts FD - 44.61 DK - 49.05 Alex Caruso FD - $4600 DK - $5000Opponent - MILProj Pts FD - 30.45 DK - 31.62 The Bulls got smoked last game and it was a perplexing situation considering the Bucks were without Khris Middleton. It seemed like this was going to be the perfect spot for Chicago to rally and put a stamp on this series. They ended up losing by 20. But I think heading into Game 4 things are still mostly wide open and Chicago is live in this thing. For starters, Lavine has seen the price drop over the course of this initial set of the playoff games, with the usage rate dropping and him struggling to find a role in the series. But he’s simply coming too cheap now and we need to buy on the idea that he’s still jacking up shots in this matchup. And then there is Caruso who has been mixed and matched in his assignments with this Bucks team. It seemed very much like he’d be a high 30’s minutes guy in this series, but that hasn’t been totally the case with how things have good so far....

Pitchers Noah Syndergaard FD - P 10200 DK - SP 8600 Opponent - BAL (Spenser Watkins) Park - LAAFD - 36.73 DK - 18.87 Ok, the good news first. Syndergaard is a huge favorite in this game, coming in at -228 at home, easily the best win odds on the day. He’s facing off against an Orioles team that ranks third-to-last in the league in team wOBA and who strikes out the at the second-highest rate in the league. The matchup and win probability are about as good as it gets. The issue for Thor is that in his first 11 innings this season he’s only struck out five batters and the 1.59 ERA is a bit of smoke and mirrors compared to the 4.13 xFIP. It’s still early of course, but that is a bit concerning. If he’s going to turn it around, from that respect, this is the matchup to do it. Ian Anderson FD - P 9700 DK - SP 9600 Opponent - MIA (Elieser Hernandez) Park - ATLFD - 35.38 DK - 18.23 Anderson is another odd case here. He’s coming off a couple of solid seasons with xFIPs under 4.00 and an almost a K-per-inning strikeout rate. And he’s facing a mediocre Marlins offense that doesn’t do all that much particularly well. Plus, Anderson is a -169 home favorite, one of the better implied win odds on the day. But he’s also struggled to start this season, striking out only eight and walking six in the first eight innings. It’s an issue for sure, but he has a track record that would suggest this won’t last. Catcher/First Base Matt Olson FD - 1B 3800 DK - 1B 4500 Opponent - MIA (Elieser Hernandez) Park - ATLFD - 13.62 DK - 10.14 Bringing Matt Olson on board in the off-season is already looking like the right choice for the Braves with the first basemen rocking a 1.100+ OPS through the first couple weeks of the season and walking more than he’s striking out. Sure, the .486 isn’t anywhere close to sustainable, but the patience at the plate should mitigate the regression there. Elieser Hernandez has some K stuff in his repertoire, but he struggled with control at times as well. The Braves are in a good spot on Saturday’s slate and Olson is coming a bit too cheap. Jared Walsh FD - 1B 3600...

Point Guard / Shooting Guard Ja Morant FD - $9800 DK - $9700Opponent - MINProj Pts FD - 53.19 DK - 54.37 I think Ja Morant is a tough fade here on this slate with the Grizzlies now clearly comfortable running him major minutes in these playoff games. He played 41 in Game 3 and finished with a triple-double, scoring 18 points and adding 10 rebounds and assists each. Sure, he struggled from the field going 5-18 but more than made up for it in other areas. Heck, he even added three steals and a block. The Grizzlies have the highest implied win total for a reason considering Minnesota’s defensive deficiencies. I like the price on both sites. James Harden FD - $8700 DK - $9100Opponent - TORProj Pts FD - 53.7 DK - 57.38 The usage rate for Harden hasn’t been all that robust this series, though that could be set to change some moving forward. The Sixers released news that Joel Embiid is dealing with a torn ligament in his thumb, an injury that he’ll try to play through for the rest of the playoffs. So far, for this series, Harden is averaging 18 points, 10 assists, and six rebounds in about 40 minutes per game. He fouled out in OT last game. He’s shooting 41% from the field and 44% from three with the only real issue being the shot volume. But if Embiid is going to play hurt, we could be getting Harden at a total bargain here on both sites. Danny Green FD - $4200 DK - $4100Opponent - TORProj Pts FD - 29.77 DK - 29.76 Danny Green played a million minutes last game and it was just enough to get him to value at these prices. With Matisse Thybulle still ineligible to play games in Toronto, it stands to reason we see max run out of Green again. In Game 3, he went for nine points, seven rebounds, and two steals. Again, just enough to get by at these price points. And on these playoff slates, any cheap play is needed in order to fit in the superstars. I’m fine going back to Green’s particular...
