Pitchers Lucas Giolito FD 8800 DK 7800 Opponent - DET (Tarik Skubal) Park - DETFD - 39.55 DK - 21.45 Giolito comes in as a -174 home favorite against the Tigers on Friday and makes for one of the best cash game pitching options on the day. Though the 4.90 ERA might scare some people off, the xFIP is more than a run lower at 3.69 and he’s been bitten by some bad luck with a BABIP about 80 points higher than his career average. He’s facing a lowly Tigers team that sits near the bottom of the league in team wOBA and strikes out 24% of the time. Tyler Anderson FD 9000 DK 9400 Opponent - CHC (Keegan Thompson) Park - CHCFD - 38.19 DK - 19.83 Though Tyler Anderson doesn’t strike out batters at quite the rate we usually look for in cash games, he has plenty of other things going for him here. For starters, the ability to keep the ball on the ground and solid control has meant he’s been going around 6.5 innings per start this season, one of the higher rates in the league. He K’s fewer than eight batters per nine, but still has a. 4.5:1 K:BB rate because of the control. And he’s the biggest money line favorite on the day at -233 against the Cubs. Strongly consider Chris Bassitt (FD $9800 DK $8700) against the Marlins. Catcher/First Base Matt Olson FD 3700 DK 4300 Opponent - WSH (Erick Fedde) Park - WSHFD - 13.02 DK - 9.69 The Braves come in with the highest run line of the day (5.8) facing off against Erick Fedde and the Nationals. Olson isn’t flashing quite the same power numbers that scored him a big contract with the Braves in the offseason, but he’s still been solid with an OPS in the 800s, a good walk rate, and he’s mashed righties for his career. He has an .879 OPS and 137 wRC+ in that split. The Braves could put a hurting on Fedde today. Anthony Rizzo FD 3700 DK 4800 Opponent - BOS (Connor Seabold) Park - BOSFD - 12.69 DK - 9.54 While I prefer a Braves stack to really any other team, the Yankees are in a good spot here against the Red Sox and Seabold. The latter doesn’t project to be the huge K guy he’s been in a short stint in the...

Pitchers Yusei Kikuchi FD 7900 DK 7800 Opponent - OAK (Adrian Martinez) Park - OAKFD - 35.45 DK - 18.79 Kikuchi has had a weird season. On the one hand, he’s got his K’s up to a 26% rate while striking out more than 10 batters per nine. But the walks have gotten a bit out of control as well, leading to him getting pulled from games early and averaging a little more than four innings per start. But on Tuesday he gets a great matchup against the A’s who rank dead last in offensive wOBA on the season and strike out nearly 24% of the time. Kikuchi is a -187 road favorite and is likely to be a popular play on this slate. Mitch White FD 7400 DK 7400 Opponent - COL (Germán Márquez) Park - COLFD - 32.16 DK - 16.3 Pitching is something of a problem on this main slate of games with not that much in the way up high upside. But White is a way to save some money on both sites and comes in as the biggest money line favorite on the day at -240 against the Rockies at home. Away from Coors, The Rockies has a paltry .638 team OPS and White has been solid since joining the rotation as a full-time starter. I like saving here and spending up on some bats, especially with the pitching options so weak. Catcher/First Base Darin Ruf FD 2600 DK 3100 Opponent - ARI (Tyler Gilbert) Park - ARIFD - 14.33 DK - 10.77 The Giants have a 5.7 implied run line on Tuesday, easily the highest of the day when they face off against lefty Tyler Gilbert and the Diamondbacks. Ruf isn’t having the same success at the plate this season that he saw in 2021 with the OPS sitting in the .600s right now. His Hr/RB rate is down by more than half from the last couple of years so there’s some run bad in there. But this is a guy who’s smashed lefties for his career with a .917 OPS and .389 wOBA in that split. I’m still willing to run him with this run line and based on his success in this platoon. Rhys Hoskins FD 3600 DK 4300 Opponent - WSH (Paolo Espino) Park - WSHFD - 12.53 DK - 9.3 The Phillies have a 5.4 implied run line,...

Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers George Kirby FD 8500 DK 7800 Opponent - OAK (Paul Blackburn) Park - OAKFD - 36.62 DK - 19.48 Kirby has had an excellent first season in the majors, registering a 3.68 xFIP while striking out 8.32 batters per nine. He’s been able to limit the walks to right around a free pass per nine innings and has gone six innings in four of his last six starts. On Saturday he’ll face the A’s who have the league’s worst team wOBA and strike out 23% of the time. Kirby is a -184 favorite in this one and could be a popular play on the afternoon slate of games. Aaron Ashby FD 6800 DK 7500 Opponent - PIT (Bryse Wilson) Park - PITFD - 30.54 DK - 16.37 There are some aces going on Saturday, but I think we can go a little cheaper on the mound if we play our cards right. Ashby is an interesting case in that he’s coming pretty cheap here and has gone from a long reliever to a full-time starter over the last five starts. He’s been going about five-inning per start in that stretch On Saturday, he’s going against the Pirates who are the third-worst offense in the league and strike out a whopping 25% of the time. Ashby is a -188 road favorite in this matchup and is coming so very cheap on both sites. Consider Tyler Anderson (FD $8800 DK $9000) for the evening. Dylan Cease (FD $10700 DK $9500) is another interesting option, especially on DraftKings. Catcher/First Base J.T. Realmuto FD 3200 DK 4600 Opponent - STL (Matthew Liberatore) Park - STLFD - 11.06 DK - 8.43 Rhys Hoskins FD 3300 DK 4200 Opponent - STL (Matthew Liberatore) Park - STLFD - 12.84 DK - 9.53 The Phillies are coming in with a 5.4 implied run line against Matthew Libartore on Saturday and could be one of the more popular stacks on DraftKings for the afternoon. Realmuto should hit cleanup against the lefty though he’s struggled this season with the OPS sitting under .700 on the year. He’s been mostly platoon neutral for his career so you aren’t getting an overwhelming advantage in the lefty versus righty matchup, but I still like the price on him for both sites even with the struggles. Meanwhile, Hoskins has put together a strong season with 16 home runs and...

Pitchers Corbin Burnes FD 10900 DK 10600 Opponent - PIT (Roansy Contreras) Park - PITFD - 42.36 DK - 24.16 Corbin Burnes and Gerrit Cole have seemed to always pitch on the same day this season and that’s often led us to decide between them on a given slate. Luckily, they’ve both been excellent and today is something of another close call. Burnes faces off against the Pirates who rank 28th in the league in team offense and strikeout 25.2% of the time, second most in baseball. Meanwhile, Burnes has been an ace’s ace once again, striking out 11.5 batters per nine and rocking a 2.78 xFIP with a 2.41 ERA. He’s a -204 favorite and the Pirates have the lowest implied run line of the main slate. Chris Bassitt FD 9800 DK 9800 Opponent - TEX (Glenn Otto) Park - TEXFD - 38.65 DK - 21.27 While Cole is a perfectly reasonable, and pretty much excellent second choice here, you can sake $1K on DraftKings by moving down to Bassitt against the Rangers. The Mets are -200 home favorites against Texas who rank in the bottom-third in team wOBA this season. Bassitt, for his part, is striking out close to 9.5 batters per nine on the season with a 3.56 xFIP. He isn’t in the elite class of arms, but he’s not too far behind. And like I said, getting that little bit of savings compared to Cole can help roster another quality bat or two. And, of course, Gerrit Cole (FD $10600 DK $10800) is an excellent option on this slate. Catcher/First Base C.J. Cron FD 4100 DK 5100 Opponent - ARI (Merrill Kelly) Park - ARIFD - 16.92 DK - 12.72 With an 11.5 implied run line, this game has easily the most projected scoring of the day and it isn’t all that close. It is a full two runs more than the second-closest game. That’s going to mean a lot of exposure to Coors as long as we can fit the salaries. Cron is putting together an excellent season with an .882 OPS and 17 home runs. He’s been particularly good at Coors where he has a 1.067 OPS this season and 13 of his home runs have come there. He’s expensive, but this is a great spot against Kelly. Carlos Santana FD 2400 DK 3300 Opponent - OAK (James Kaprielian) Park - OAKFD...

Pitchers Carlos Rodón FD 10600 DK 10400 Opponent - DET (Tarik Skubal) Park - DETFD - 40.65 DK - 22.5 With a game in Coors, it can always get a little weird paying all the way up for pitching, but Rodon is one of the guys to considering do just such a thing based on how good he’s been this season. He’s striking out batters at a 31% clip and has been able to limit the walks to under 9%. He’s got a 2.70 ERA with a 3.11 xFIP and comes into this game as a -190 home favorite against the Tigers who have the second-worst team wOBA in the league this season and strike out 24% of the time. This is all lined up to be a great cash game spot for Rodon. Shane Baz FD 7200 DK 7600 Opponent - MIL (Brandon Woodruff) Park - MILFD - 36.65 DK - 20 If you are looking to go a little cheaper with the pitching in order to fit in some of those higher-priced bats then Baz could be the guy. While he isn’t a huge favorite against the Brewers (-121), this game has a very love 7.0 over/under. Baz definitely has strikeout stuff, having put down 15 batters in his first 13 major league innings. He’s even been able to go six innings in one of his starts. He’s coming cheap on both sites and really does fit the bill as a cash game pitcher with a little risk if you are looking to stack some Coors bats. Catcher/First Base Freddie Freeman FD 4500 DK 5900 Opponent - COL (Kyle Freeland) Park - COLFD - 14.79 DK - 11.14 Will Smith FD 3900 DK 5700 Opponent - COL (Kyle Freeland) Park - COLFD - 15.08 DK - 11.22 All right, get ready to see this article piled with Dodgers, as well it should be considering they are heading into their second game in Coors. It was a disappointing effort considering they were shut out the first game, but we really can’t let that deter us here. Freeman should hit second in the order facing off against the lefty Freeland, and the former is once again putting together an excellent season even if the power numbers are a bit down. This is the worse side of his split, though he’s still well better than average for his career...

Pitchers Aaron Nola FD 10300 DK 10300 Opponent - SD (MacKenzie Gore) Park - SDFD - 39.3 DK - 21.26 Nola has, once again, been one of the best pitchers in the game this season and is ultra-efficient when he takes the mound. He’s averaging close to 6.5 innings every start this season and striking out batters at a 29% rate while walking them only 3% of the time time. He’s got the xFIP under 3.00 on the season and the only issue with Friday is that he’s facing a somewhat tougher matchup in the Padres. But otherwise, everything lines up for Nola to be a strong cash option. Jeffrey Springs FD 8300 DK 8500 Opponent - PIT (Mitch Keller) Park - PITFD - 34.31 DK - 18.64 Springs has been pretty excellent since joining the Rays’ starting staff back at the beginning of May. He’s striking out more than a batter per inning, and in general, has been able to limit the walks as well. On Friday he draws a great matchup against the Pirates who rank 28th in team wOBA on the season and are striking out 25% of the time. They stink. The Rays come in as one of the biggest moneyline favorites on the day giving Springs some of the best win odds. Catcher/First Base Jonah Bride FD 2100 DK 2000 Opponent - KC (Zack Greinke) Park - KCFD - 10.11 DK - 7.73 Bride was just recently called up to the majors, but he does project as a bat who can do some damage at this level. And the A’s certainly believe it to be the case because they are hitting him second in the lineup right now. He was incredibly tough to strike out in the minors and took walks at a better than 10% rate. He doesn’t have tremendous power, but limiting the K’s and taking free passes is the best way to kick things off fantasy-wise. Plus, he’s coming just about free on both sites. MJ Melendez FD 2600 DK 4200 Opponent - OAK (Cole Irvin) Park - OAKFD - 11.07 DK - 8.36 I don’t mind going a little cheaper at first base for this Friday slate and Melendez is a bargain on FanDuel right now. He’s facing off against the lefty Cole Irvin and in a limited sample size, MJ has crushed southpaw pitching. It’s looking like the...
