Lillard has run major minutes lately, going 40 or more in four of the last five games. In that stretch he’s averaged 34 points, 7.4 assists, and six rebounds. The matchup against the Thunder should be up and down the court and he makes for a high floor option. Derrick White FD - $6100 DK - $6100Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 36.99 DK - 38.47 The Celtics are going to be without Jaylen Brown because of a facial fracture he suffered. This should keep Derrick White running big minutes going forward and we’ve seen him capitalize on the opportunity. He’s averaging 36 minutes a game over the last five scoring 19 points and pulling seven rebounds per game in that stretch. The pricing has creeped up but doesn’t totally reflect the opportunity and this is a great matchup against the Hornets. Jaden Ivey FD - $5600 DK - $5300Opponent - SAProj Pts FD - 33.02 DK - 36.12 Killian Hayes FD - $6000 DK - $4700Opponent - SAProj Pts FD - 30.84 DK - 32.61 The Pistons get one of the best matchups of the slate facing off against the Spurs. San Antonio has played the sixth-fastest pace in the league and is easily (easily!) the worst defense there is. While Detroit hasn’t wanted to always run their starters major minutes, both Jaden Ivey and Killian Hayes should push around 30 here, making them value looks on DraftKings especially. Again, even with a tanking team without tons of minutes upside, this is just the kind of spot to stack these two. With the price still on the lower side on FanDuel, I think we can run him in cash games against this Hawks team. Atlanta is 19th on defense and runs a top-10 pace this season. Meanwhile, CJ is averaging a 22/6 over the short-term with the scoring even set to possibly take a jump in this game. And then there is Brandon Ingram who is fully back in the fold in terms of minutes and definitely all the way there on the usage as well. In 32 minutes on Saturday against the Lakers, Ingram took 28 shots and finished with 35 points while also pitching in five assists and four rebounds. He’s taken 20 shots or more in three of his first five games back. The price hasn’t caught up at all with the usage, especially on DraftKings. Jalen Brunson FD - $7900 DK - $8500Opponent - ORLProj Pts FD - 41.42 DK - 44.28 Speaking of guys who run big minutes, Jalen Brunson has one of the highest floors in the NBA where that is concerned. He hasn’t played fewer than 35 minutes in a game since December 20th and during that stretch is averaging 20 points, 5.4 assists, and four rebounds. It doesn’t get much better than that and the price certainly doesn’t reflect this opportunity all the way. The minutes have been 36 or higher over the last week or so and he’s a triple-double threat in every game. Over the last four he’s averaging 20 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. Plus he’ll get after it with some steals as well. This is a pretty easy play. Davion Mitchell FD - $3800 DK - $3000Opponent - INDProj Pts FD - 21.37 DK - 23.16 Malik Monk FD - $5300 DK - $4800Opponent - INDProj Pts FD - 30.92 DK - 33.93 De’Arron Fox is out for the Kings on Friday when they play the Pacers and this should be a spot to roster some guys in his absence. Davion Mitchell should get the start though it could be Malik Monk who we see with even more opportunity. The latter has a 29.8 usage rate with Fox off the court this season, easily the highest on the team and even coming off the bench has seen bigger minutes with this group. The price is low enough on both sites to take the moderate risk even if he isn’t running with the starter. Meanwhile, Mitchell is coming at the stone minimum on DraftKings and should be at least starting. That’s worth it from a punt play perspective. The fantasy elements of his game aren’t overwhelming so there’s at least some risk, but he’s cheap and should see a dramatic increase in minutes here. T.J. The latter sat out on Thursday evening with a groin issue and there’s a chance it happens again. That being said, the Thursday sitting could have been preemptive on the front end of the back-to-back as well so this is something we will have to keep an eye on. Garland went for 26 points and nine rebounds in just 33 minutes on Thursday in a blowout win over the Rockets. He’s been amazing this season when Mitchell has been on the shelf and draws a fine matchup against the Thunder who, while good on defense, are also 5th in pace. T.J. McConnell FD - $7400 DK - $6500Opponent - MILProj Pts FD - 39.22 DK - 41.62 The price still hasn’t adjusted on TJ McConnell and we are likely looking at playing him all the way until Tyrese Haliburton returns. Since taking over as a starter three games ago, McConnell is averaging 18 points, 10 assists, and five rebounds in almost 38 minutes per game. Even if those averages are on the high side of realistic expectations, he’s still coming way too cheap on DraftKings especially. Factoring in blowout risk against the Bucks still doesn’t put him out of play on either site really. This is an easy call. Jrue Holiday FD - $8300 DK - $8500Opponent - INDProj Pts FD - 45.24 DK - 49.05 The Bucks have some injury issues going right now so even with Giannis playing I think we can consider Jrue Holiday here in the $8K range. There are some games without Giannis mixed in here, but over the last month or so Jrue is averaging 21 points, seven assists, and four rebounds with 1.5 steals+ blocks thrown in for good measure. For the Kings, that might be tough seeing as how they start at 10PM EST and we could be waiting on the Domantas Sabonis news. Sabonis was sick last game, so it’s not an injury and there’s a better chance that he returns. Unlike some of the other guys in the Kings’ lineup though, I think you can feel okay running Fox even if Sabonis is back in the lineup. The Thunder play the 4th-fastest pace in the league and this game has a monster 239 total. There are other Kings considerations if Sabonis is out, but Fox should be on the safer side no matter what. Darius Garland FD - $8500 DK - $8100Opponent - GSProj Pts FD - 44.6 DK - 49 Caris LeVert FD - $5600 DK - $5400Opponent - GSProj Pts FD - 30.44 DK - 33.43 Playing Darius Garland and Caris LeVert on this slate is obviously predicated on whether or not Donovan Mitchell sits this one out. He didn’t play on Wednesday against the Grizzlies and this guard tandem held it down from a fantasy perspective. Garland finished with 24 points and 14 assists in his 39 minutes while LeVert put up 23 points, six assists, and four rebounds in a whopping 43 minutes. And that was against Memphis who have the best defensive efficiency in the league. Now they’ll play Golden State who sit 16th and play the 6th-fastest pace. This game is early so we should have the injury news prior to lock.
