We Got Nets Episode 9 - A Brooklyn Nets Podcast: Podcast Network Announcement, Nets Ownership, ESPN rankings 8/22/19 The We Got Nets crew is back with Episode 9 of their Brooklyn Nets Podcast diving into a whole host of topics around the team and the NBA as a whole. Listen on iTunes: Listen to "We Got Nets Episode 9 - New Podcast Network, Nets Ownership, ESPN rankings 8/22/19" on Spreaker. They start things off with the announcement that the We Got Nets podcast will be joining the Overtime Media Podcast Network. It’s a collection of sports podcasts of all types, and the WGN crew will be the official Brooklyn Nets podcast for the network. It’s an exciting move and one that points to a great direction for the show. Then they get into the Nets’ ownership situation and how Joseph Tsai will be now the majority owner with him buying out Mikhail Prokhorov’s majority stake. This is a big move for the franchise and adds some stability to their ownership group while also helping to further the NBA’s reach into other markets. Of course, they also have to talk about the Nets hat Doug bought from the NBA store that looks totally ridiculous on him. If anyone wants a free XL Nets hat sent to them reach out on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram. And finally, they talk about ESPN’s Kevin Pelton’s release of his preseason projections and where the Nets land. He has them entering the season as the 8th seed in the East which is the most bearish projection the guys have seen yet. They discuss this plus some more Vegas odds market movement around the Nets. We Got Nets Episode 8 - A Brooklyn Nets Podcast: Nets 2019-2020 Schedule with Key Games, National Buzz and More 8/13/19 It might be the middle of summer, but the We Got Nets podcast is back for Episode 8 of their Brooklyn Nets Podcast. This season, in a marked shift, Brooklyn will play 20 nationally televised games either on ESPN, TNT or NBATV. It’s a huge bump in exposure for the team. Doug Norrie and Adam Armbrecht take a look at the schedule, highlighting games like against the Knicks in the second game of the season. They also talk about D’Angelo Russell returning to Brooklyn with the Warriors on February 5th. They dissect some pieces of the last ten games in which the Nets could be looking at a fairly easy schedule down the stretch. Their last ten games include two against the (likely) bad Cleveland Cavaliers, the Bulls, a Thunder team that couple be tanking and the Bucks who might have their playoff seeding wrapped up. There’s some time to revisit Vegas odds movement around the Nets’ playoff chances and win totals since the last episode as well and the guys talk a little Joe Harris still hanging around the USA Basketball Team. Friday MLB DFS Podcast for FanDuel and DraftKings - 8/9/19 Listen to "Friday's MLB DFS Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings - 8/9/19" on Spreaker. The DFSR crew of Doug Norrie and James Davis are back at it with a Friday MLB podcast breaking down FanDuel and DraftKings baseball action. They are live and in studio together and looking at both the top pitchers on the slate as well as some potentially interesting stacks. For the arms, they guys discuss Walker Buehler versus Stephen Strasburg on the more expensive side of things. Both bring in excellent peripherals with Buehler getting the slightly better matchup and win odds against the Diamondbacks. But there does appear to be some value on the money line for Strasburg who is facing the red-hot Mets. They also look at Drew Smyly, Julio Teheran and Kyle Freeland as potential cheap DraftKings SP2 options. And finally, for stacks there’s the Royals against Edwin Jackson plus the Red Sox, Yankees and Cardinals facing some wild arms. All of this and more on Friday MLB podcast for FanDuel and DraftKings. We Got Nets Episode 7 – A Brooklyn Nets Podcast: Live from the WGN Cabin, Nets Playoff Odds, Podcast Philosophy and Crunch-Time Guys 7/30/19

Posted by on Jul 31, 2019 in Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks, DraftKings NBA Picks, FanDuel NBA Picks, featured, News, Podcast | 0 comments

We Got Nets Episode 7 - A Brooklyn Nets Podcast: Live from the WGN Cabin, Nets Playoff Odds, Podcast Philosophy and Crunch-Time Guys 7/30/19 Episode 7 of We Got Nets, a Brooklyn Nets Podcast is live from the WGN Summer headquarters in Upstate New York. The guys are in person for the podcast and talking everything Brooklyn Nets. Listen on Spreaker: Listen to "We Got Nets Episode 7 - Live from the Cabin, Playoff Odds, Podcast Philosophy and Crunch-Time Guys 7/30/19" on Spreaker. It’s a packed 45 minutes of Brooklyn Nets talk as they hit the dog days of summer. The guys start off talking about the PointsBet betting totals for the Nets’ wins and their chances at the playoffs. Currently, those numbers sit at over/under 45.5 and +400 to *miss* the playoffs. The guys talk about the relevancy around those numbers and how betting against them isn’t necessarily an indictment on the Nets season. They discuss where some of the friction may come from with the Nets hitting certain milestones this season and how Kyrie Irving’s health is a key component. There’s some reason to be worried about Irving’s ability to play a whole season and what that would mean for the Brooklyn chances at improving on last year’s numbers. With that in mind, the guys also discuss the 2018-2019 record and how the 42-40 record could have been about two wins over the pythagorean expectation considering they were outscored for the season. There’s also a philosophical discussion about what the We Got Nets podcast should be about, should it be a fan podcast or maybe discuss things that Nets fans don’t want to “hear”. And finally, they look at possible crunch time lineups for the Nets this season and different combinations that may or may not be able to take the court together. And even in the middle of the summer, there’s plenty to talk about in for this team. Listen on Spreaker: Listen to "We Got Nets Episode 6 - Summer League Over, Nets Win Total and Durant Keeps to Himself 7/15/19" on Spreaker. Adam starts off by tying him attending a Jimmy Eat World concert and the path of the Nets over the last couple of seasons. It doesn’t come out as crazy as it sounds. They do a quick post mortem on the NBA Summer league and whether there were any major takeaways from the Nets’ performance. Obviously, they spend a little time on the key role players like Rodion Kurucs and more importantly Jarrett Allen who ended up logging quite a few minutes this summer. Then they break down the Nets Points Bet win total this season. Doug begins detailing a new wins’ model he’s creating that actually currently projects the Nets to come in under that number. They discuss whether there’s credence to Brooklyn possibly underperforming this season. And Adam tries to talk Doug off the ledge. And finally, they follow up the Sean Marks and Kenny Atkinson press conference from earlier in the week and some tidbits that gave insight into the offseason process. All of this and more on another summer We Got Nets Podcast. You can also follow along all season to new episodes wherever you listen to podcasts.
