Also, be sure to grab your copy of Chris's DFS PGA Weekly cheatsheet. Shriners Hospitals for Children Open Welcome back for another week of daily fantasy golf. Not counting the Sanderson Farms Championship, we are back to a full field event for the first time since the Safeway Open at the start of October. That also means we get back to regular viewing times but that makes me somewhat sad as I really enjoyed the late night golf we got at the CIMB Classic(Malaysia), CJ Cup(Korea), and WGC-HSBC Champions(China) events. This week the Tour heads back to Las Vegas and TPC Summerlin for the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. It's a weaker field with none of the Top 10 players and only five of the Top 50 players(Hoffman, Chappell, Simpson, Finau, Woodland) in the world golf rankings. Regardless of the field strength, there are some excellent storylines including A.J. McInerney's first career PGA Tour start in his hometown of Las Vegas. Not only did he grow up in Vegas and go to UNLV, he was also a survivor of the tragic shootings a month ago. I won't be on him for DFS this week as I feel the emotions of his first start in this setting will be a lot to overcome to play some top golf but it will be impossible not to pull for him. The course this week is a Par 71 setup that stretches out to 7,255 yards. There are three average Par 3 holes under 200 yards and one longer one that comes in at 239 yards. As a Par 71, there are three Par 5's, two of which are of average length with the third coming in over 600 yards and will be only reachable in two by the longest of hitters. With just three Par 5's, there is one extra Par 4 this week(11 total) which is the reason you will see the Par 4 Scoring weighted a bit higher than Par 5 Scoring this week but both will be vital to...
Daily Fantasy PGA Picks for DraftKings & FanDuel – WGC HSBC Champions
Daily Fantasy PGA Picks for DraftKings & FanDuel - WGC HSBC Champions DFSR is proud to bring you, Chris Durell. He'll be bringing weekly PGA picks, analysis, and breakdowns to help you cash on DraftKings and FanDuel. As every week in DFS PGA changes with the course setup, field of players and weather, Chris will be providing a range of different picks for cash games as well as upside plays for tournaments. Chris is also providing his DFS PGA Weekly cheatsheet and Season-Long Trends Sheet at absolutely no cost. WGC HSBC Champions Welcome back golf fans. I hope you are enjoying the start of the new PGA Tour season and if you have paid close enough attention you might notice it has a similar feel as a year ago as the first three tournament winners(Brendan Steele, Pat Perez, Justin Thomas) were all winners in the fall portion of the 2016-17 season. The players now travel to Sheshan International Golf Club in Shanghai, China for the seasons first WGC event, the HSBC Champions. Hideki Matsuyama returns as the defending champion in a stacked 78-player field that includes five of the Top 10 and 33 of the Top 50 players in the world. The course is designed in a forest-like setting with a ton of trees combined with elevation changes, rolling landscape and water hazards that are present on 11 of the 18 holes. Over the past four years, we have seen a mix of long hitters and accuracy players succeed here and it has to do with the varying hole lengths and options off the tee. There will be a handful of holes where players can choose to go less-than-driver off the tee to get a better position for their approach shots and for those pulling out driver, they will need to be somewhat accurate with all the hazards present which will greatly reduce their chances of hitting a green in regulation. Speaking of approach shots, I will be looking closer at Proximity this week with the rolling multi-tiered greens. The winning score over the past four years has exceeded -20 three times which elevates the importance of Birdie or Better % which correlates very closely to Draftkings scoring. I will also be splitting Par 4 and 5 scoring as the players who have had the most success here have done well on both(Ross Fisher, Marc Leishman, Dustin Johnson, Hideki Matsuyama, Henrik Stenson). Below is a look at the Strokes Gained leaders...

Chris is also providing his DFS PGA Weekly cheatsheet and Season-Long Trends Sheet at absolutely no cost. The CJ Cup @ Nine Bridges Welcome back daily fantasy golf fans. It is a big week for the PGA Tour as it visits Korea for the very first time for the CJ Cup @ Nine Bridges. That means we will be throwing course history out the window this week and concentrating solely on players who fit the stats model and current form model on the cheatsheet. Speaking of the stats model, it will be pretty tough to narrow down specifically what will be the biggest impact so I am going pretty straightforward with the model this week. Strokes Gained: Ball Striking is always at the top of the list and with the course looking fairly tough with tons of sand and some tough greens, I will also be looking at Strokes Gained: Around the Green and Bogey Avoidance to go along with Birdie or Better %. With all that said, let's jump in and take a look at some of the top picks for this week. The Course The Club at Nine Bridges - Jeju Island, KOR Par 72 - 7,196 Yards **Click to check out the Hole by Hole Breakdown at PGATour.com** Top Stats in the Model Strokes Gained: Ball Striking(Off the Tee+ Approach) Strokes Gained: Around the Green Bogey Avoidance Birdie or Better % Par 5 Scoring Top Current Form Targets Paul Casey World Golf Ranking (#14) Vegas Odds (9/1) Draftkings ($11,600) FanDuel ($9,700) Casey topped the current form section last week and it paid if you rostered him. It didn't look good early as he opened with a 77 but he bounced back in a big way with a 63 on Friday, 69 on Saturday, and capped off the weekend with a final round 65 to finish with yet another Top 10 and 102 DraftKings points. Dating back to last season(not that long ago), he has finished Top 10 in seven of his last 11...
Daily Fantasy PGA Picks for DraftKings & FanDuel – CIMB Classic
Daily Fantasy PGA Picks for DraftKings & FanDuel - CIMB Classic DFSR is proud to bring you, Chris Durell. He'll be bringing weekly PGA picks, analysis, and breakdowns to help you cash on DraftKings and FanDuel. Chris is also providing his DFS PGA Weekly cheatsheet and Season-Long Trends Sheet at absolutely no cost. CIMB Classic Welcome back for another week of daily fantasy golf as the Fall Season continues. This week 78 players travel to Malaysia for a no-cut event at TPC Kuala Lumpur. This will be the fifth time the course has hosted this event and two players have dominated the trophy ceremonies. FedEx Cup Champion, Justin Thomas, returns as the defending champ in each of the last two years with Ryan Moore taking down back to back wins here in 2015 and 2014. Before moving on, let's take a look at the top of the leaderboard over the past four years: As you can see we are likely in for a birdie fest as evidenced by the scores shown above, especially over the past two years. This puts Birdie or Better % right up near the top of the key stats this week and with fairly generous fairways I will also be weighing Strokes Approach heavily as well. Let's take a quick look at the Top 5 golfers in both of those stats over the last 12 rounds overall using the tools over at Fantasy National Golf Club. Let's take a look at the course information and then jump right into the picks. The Course TPC Kuala Lumpur - Kuala, MAS Par 72 - 7,005 Yards **Click to check out the Course Breakdown from PGATour.com** Top Stats in the Model Strokes Gained: Approach Birdie or Better % Par 5 Scoring Strokes Gained: Off the Tee Top Course History Targets Justin Thomas World Golf Ranking (#4) Vegas Odds (4/1) Draftkings ($12,300) FanDuel ($10,500) There is absolutely no argument with Thomas topping the course history list. He has played here twice in his young career, winning twice with a combined score of -49. He returns with top form as well coming off a runner-up at the TOUR Championship which netted him the FedEx Cup to go along with Player of the Year honors in a season...
Daily Fantasy PGA Picks for DraftKings & FanDuel – Safeway Open
Daily Fantasy PGA Picks for DraftKings & FanDuel - Safeway Open DFSR is proud to bring you, Chris Durell. Safeway Open The Course Silverado Resort & Spa(North) - Napa, CA Par 72 - 7,203 Yards **Click to see PGATour.com Course Overview** Top Stats in the Model Strokes Gained: Off the Tee(20%) Strokes Gained: Approach(30%) Birdie or Better %(30%) Par 4 Scoring(20%) Top Course History Targets Kevin Na World Golf Ranking (#66) Vegas Odds (28/1) Draftkings ($9,400) FanDuel ($7,800) It is very likely Na will be the highest owned golfer this week(leads FanShare tags with 15) but he has everything going for him, starting with the course history. He has played here in back to back year finishing 2nd and 7th and in those eight rounds, ranks 3rd overall in DraftKings points(via Fantasy National Golf Club). He finished last season strong making it all the way to the BMW Championship and had two Top 6 finishes in his final four events with 7th most DraftKings points per tournament(in the field) over his last five events. He also crushes it statistically ranking 1st in the field in Strokes Gained: Approach, 5th in Par 4 Scoring and 12th in Birdie or Better %. He is a safe play in all formats, especially on FanDuel where he is under $8K to start the season. Brendan Steele World Golf Ranking (#59) Vegas Odds (28/1) Draftkings ($9,000) FanDuel ($8,600) Pictured above are Brendan Steele's stat rankings over the last 12 rounds at Silverado Resort & Spa(via Fantasy National Golf Club) and they are very impressive. He is top 10 in every area besides SG: ARG and has improved here each year he has played Silverado. He has finished T21, T17, and with a final round 65 last season, won the event. He did tail off at the end of the season missing four of his final seven cuts with just one Top 25 but can use a track he is comfortable with to reboot in a big way. Steele also shows up in my stats model this week as he...

That's right, one golfer will walk away with the FedEx Cup Trophy and a cool $10,000,000 to add to his bank account. There are a ton of scenarios for the 30 golfers to win the FedEx Cup this week but if you are one of the Top 5 in the standings you need to do just one thing. Win! Each of the top 5 golfers controls their own destiny. Looking at recent trends, every golfer to win the Tour Championship has won the FedEx Cup in each of the last seven years. The last time a FedEx Cup winner didn't win the Tour Championship was Tiger Woods back in 2009 who saw Phil Mickelson win the final tournament. Speaking of Tiger and Phil, this has been circulating all week and it makes me laugh every time. By 2002, even Phil was sick of hearing about all Tiger's wins. pic.twitter.com/K3lw5LZlOi — Skratch (@Skratch) September 16, 2016 For fantasy, I looked closely at the previous winners going back to 2010 and Rory Mcilroy(2016), Billy Horschel(2014), and Henrik Stenson(2013) are the only golfers with multiple wins in the playoffs of their Championship seasons. While you would think that current form would be key to winning the year-end event, it...
