Arnold Palmer Invitational This second week of the Florida swing takes the PGA Tour to Bay Hill and Lodge in Orlando for the Arnold Palmer Invitational. While last week's field was on the weaker side with the new Florida schedule, the Arnold Palmer Invitational is always loaded and has three of Top 5, six of the Top 10, and 32 of the Top 50 players in the World. The highlight of the field is Tiger Woods who is making his 18th appearance at Bay Hill, winning it a whopping eight times including a stretch of four in a row from 2000 to 2003. Bay Hill is a 7,419 yard, Par 72 course that plays a bit longer as it is very demanding off the tee. There water in play on close to half the holes and where there is no water, there are very strategically placed bunkers in the key landing areas. This type of challenge will have most of the field using a "less than driver" strategy off the tee on a ton of holes as there is a premium on hitting the fairways. That combined with five of the Par 4's falling between 450 and 500 yards and all four Par 3's sitting at 199+ yards will have the field taking a ton of approach shots from 200+ making it a key area to target when looking at Strokes Gained: Approach. Even with a winning score that consistently reaches the high teens, I will be looking at Bogey Avoidance in my model with all the hazards in play this week and with that low scoring will also be looking at Birdie or Better %. When breaking down Par 4 scoring, I will be looking at the 450 to 500 yard range and will also be weighing Par 5 Scoring with an average of 48% of all birdies coming on those four holes(last...

Pennzoil 400 Las Vegas Motor Speedway - Las Vegas, NV Track - 1.5 Mile D-Shaped Oval Intermediate(20° of Banking) This week the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series heads to Sin City for the Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. While it is the second race using the new 2019 rules package, it will likely be a different race for a couple reasons starting with the track. Atlanta is an old slippery surface that wears out tires fast while Vegas has progressive banking and much more grip making it easier on the tires. The biggest difference this week is the new package which will add aero ducts to the front of the car which should further increase downforce, drafting, and pack racing. We saw a preview of what this weekend could look like back at the start of February when teams tested the new package. If you want to see some of that action check out Jeff Gluck's broadcast on Periscope. Like last week with so many unknowns with the new package, I will be employing multiple strategies when multi-entering contests. I will look for drivers who were fast in one-lap and 10-lap averages in practice and narrow the field down to a couple of dominators to build around in some lineups and will stack teammates in other lineups with the chance we see a lot of drafting and pack racing. Qualifying is Friday afternoon with two more practice sessions on Saturday so be sure to check back on my DFS NASCAR cheatsheet for updated rankings leading up to lineup lock. I will also have a list of my top targets listed on the sheet following final practice. Let's jump in and take a look at the previous winners, race trends, track history, and then look at some pre-qualifying targets. Last Six Winners at Las Vegas Brad Keselowski(started 13th led 75 laps) Kevin Harvick(started 2nd, led 214 laps) Martin Truex Jr.(started 2nd, 150 laps) Brad Keselowski(started 4th, led 24 laps) Kevin Harvick(started 18th, led 142...

GOALIE Marc-Andre Fleury FD - $7900 DK - $8300 Opponent - FLA Proj Pts FD - 21.05 DK - 5.26 The goalie position is somewhat ugly for cash games tonight with the lack of an elite option so we will start with Marc-Andre Fleury who stands out the most. He has gone through some struggles recently allowing four or more goals in four of his last six starts but bounced back in his last start holding the Stars to just one goal on Tuesday night. While the upside is somewhat limited with Fleury who only sees an average 27.7 shots per 60, he and Golden Knights are -205 home favorites facing a Panthers team who has scored just 14 goals in their last seven games. More good news as Fleury has also been much better on home ice with a .914 save % and five shutouts. If paying up in cash games, Fleury is the clear choice tonight. Darcy Kuemper FD - $7800 DK - $7700 Opponent - VAN Proj Pts FD - 15.95 DK - 3.99 After Fleury is where things get really interesting as Bobrovsky is a big favorite against Philly and while I will have some shares, it is hard to ignore the value in the sub $8K range tonight. If I told pre-season or even a month ago the Coyotes would be just two points out of a playoff spot at the end of February you would have likely called me crazy. Well here we are and a huge part of their success has been goaltending lead by Kuemper who has won five straight and seven of his last eight starts while posting an impressive .937 save % while facing 31.8 shots per game. He and the Coyotes are in a great spot tonight as -140 home favorites against a Canucks team that is playing on a back to back on the road and a third game in four nights overall. All things considered, he is a great play in all formats especially on DraftKings where...

Daily Fantasy PGA Picks and Betting Guide for DraftKings & FanDuel – The Honda Classic Chris will be bringing you weekly PGA picks, analysis, and breakdowns to help you cash on DraftKings and FanDuel. The Honda Classic After a pit stop in Mexico for the second World Golf Championship fo the season, the PGA Tour will begin the four-event Florida swing in Palm Beach Gardens with The Honda Classic. With the event being moved and sandwiched between the WGC Mexico and Arnold Palmer Invitational the field is not quite as strong overall this time around but is still strong at the top with three of the World's Top 10 players(Justin Thomas #3, Brooks Koepka #4, Rickie Fowler #9) teeing it up this week. The PGA National Champions course is consistently ranked among the Tour's toughest non-major tests and it shows with a winning score that has come in the single digits in five of the last six years. A lot of that higher scoring can be attributed to the wind factor but the good news for this year is that early forecasts are showing wind speeds under 10 mph throughout the event so we could see some lower scoring. That is if the players can avoid the water that is pretty much everywhere at PGA National(in play on 14 of 18 holes). I will be looking heavily at Strokes Gained: Ball Striking this week and with the likelihood we some "less than driver" strategies off the tee I will also be weighted more towards the approach side with long irons being very important with five of the 12 Par 4's over 450 yards. The balance on Bogey Avoidance and Birdie or Better % will be finalized as we see the weather forecast closer to lineup lock but as of now, I am leaning BoB% with the low wind projected. Let's now jump in and look at some course info, trends, and then get into the picks. The Course PGA National(Champions) Par 70 - 7,140 Yards Greens - Bermuda **Click the image above to see a hole by hole breakdown from...
Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings 2/26/19
Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings 2/26/19 The crazy NHL trade deadline has come and gone and now we get prepared for a huge 11 game slate on Tuesday night. Let's jump in and take a look at some of the top players at each position and then make sure to check out our projection system and lineup optimizer. GOALIE Braden Holtby FD - $8600 DK - $8300 Opponent - OTT Proj Pts FD - 20.97 DK - 5.24 Holtby has definitely not had his best season(21-16-4, .908 save %) but has everything in his favor tonight putting him at the top of the projections tonight. It starts with being a -300 favorite facing a Senators team that just finished trading away their three top scoring forwards in Mark Stone, Ryan Dzingel, and Matt Duchene. After five straight starts on the road, Holtby will get a home start where he and the Caps have been slightly better on the season. This is a smash spot for the Caps so I am willing to take the risk with an underperforming goalie who is a proven #1 option and will be using him in all formats tonight. Curtis McElhinney FD - $8200 DK - $7900 Opponent - LA Proj Pts FD - 21.53 DK - 5.38 The goalie you are likely to see in 100% of lineups on our optimizer is McElhinney as he is actually projected for more raw points and comes at a $400 discount on both sites. He has also been playing at an elite level lately coming off a shutout of the stars and has won five of his last six and eight of his last 10 starts while posting a .922 save %. Tonight, he and the Canes are big -240 home favorites against a Kings team that has dropped eight straight and will be playing on a back to back and third game in four nights, all on the road. Fire up McElhinney in all formats. CENTERS Dylan Larkin FD - $7500 DK - $6900 Opponent - MON Proj Pts FD - 17.39 DK - 5 For an offense that ranks outside the Top 25 on the season, I sure love turning to Larkin in fantasy and will again tonight. Over his last 10 games, he has tallied 12 points and leads the team with 61 points on the...

Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 Atlanta Motor Speedway - Hampton, GA Track - 1.54 Mile Quad-Oval Intermediate The Daytona 500 is in the books and it is time to really get the season going as the Monster Energy Cup series heads to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500. I touched on it a bit last week with the new rules package for 2019 on all tracks over one mile and this will be the first race with the package in place. In short, NASCAR is increasing the size of the spoiler to create more downforce while adding a tapered spacer(similar to a restrictor plate) to the engine to lower the overall horsepower. All of these changes are in place to keep the cars closer together and somewhat restrict that leader who gets out front and wins by 2-3 seconds or more(Kevin Harvick last year at this track). Here is a look at some of the changes compared to last year via Bob Pockrass on Twitter. While we will have to take a wait and see approach, I would think it takes away some of the shine for dominator points as we could see multiple lead changes if there is lots of pack racing. If you didn't think there was enough variance in NASCAR DFS as it is, buckle up as this close pack racing could produce more wrecks with cars closer together like we saw last week. Sure it won't be happening at 200 mph but it will sure add a whole new thought process and strategy if we are seeing "the Big one" at mile and a half tracks consistently. While I do think the best cars and best drivers will still...
