WGC Dell Match Play This week the PGA Tour takes a break from stroke play and heads to Austin Country Club for the World Golf Championships Dell Technologies Match Play. This will be the fourth straight trip to Austin CC and that is what I will be looking at mostly from a course history standpoint this week. I will look at overall match play history as well as the strategies are different from a stroke-play event playing against just one player at a time instead of an entire field. The 64-man field is once again loaded with nine of the Top 10 and 48 of the Top 50 players in the world teeing it up. The only two missing from the Top 50 are #8 Rickie Fowler and #29 Adam Scott. The format has the 64 players split into 16 groups of four with group play taking place from Wednesday to Friday. The player with the best record in each group will move on to the Round of 16 on Saturday where it will be bracketed and single knockout with the final 18 hole match being played Sunday afternoon. For fantasy, scoring is obviously different this week as well so let's refresh how the points are handed out. As you can see there is no scoring for birdies or placing but instead points for winning and halving a hole. Then bonuses for matches won, matches halved, three consecutive holes won, and no holes lost in a match. The holes not played just means if a player win 4 & 2 he gets 1.6 points for each hole remaining plus the matches won bonus. My strategy going into this will be to target golfers in favorable groupings that could potentially dominate one or two matches getting you a ton of bonus points. You will also want to look closely at the bracket and...

Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings 3/26/19

Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings 3/26/19 With about a handful of games remaining in the regular season, the playoff races are heating up with a ton on the line every shift. We've got you completely covered. GOALIE Carey Price FD - $9200 DK - $8000 Opponent - FLA Proj Pts FD - 20.1 DK - 5.03 It has been ride or die with Price and the Habs down the stretch as he is slated to make his ninth straight start tonight. He has come up with a couple of stinkers but overall he has been terrific lately holding opponents to two or fewer goals in 14 of his last 17 starts while recording a .921 save %. Tonight, he and the Habs are big -185 home favorites against a Panthers team that is playing on a back to back and third game in four nights. The decision is a little closer on FanDuel where Price is over $9K but on DraftKings he is easily my top goalie in all formats. Mikko Koskinen FD - $7800 DK - $7900 Opponent - LA Proj Pts FD - 20.23 DK - 5.06 For cash games, it just makes sense to pay up the $100 on DraftKings and roll with Price but on FanDuel it makes sense to consider Koskinen at a $1,400 discount. Sure he has been up and down lately giving up four or more goals three times in the last 10 games but the matchup is prime against a Kings team that ranks 30th overall on offense. Koskinen has also been much better on home ice this season with a 13-7-2 record with .920 save % and three shutouts(10-11-3, .896 save % on road). Also consider: Jacob Markstrom(VAN) in a great spot at home against the Ducks 31st ranked offense CENTERS Connor McDavid FD - $9200 DK - $8300 Opponent - LA Proj Pts FD - 20.47 DK - 5.94 It's a "pay up at center" kind of slate and I will start with one of the best in the game, Connor McDavid. The Oilers playoff chances have slipped lately(8 points behind WC2) but in no way has it been McDavid's fault. Since the start of February, he has posted 35 points in 22 games which includes 13 multi-point...

STP 500 Martinsville Speedway - Martinsville, VA Track - .526 Mile Oval Short Track(12° of Banking) This week the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series heads to Martinsville Speedway for the first short track race of the season, the STP 500. With that, we are back to the short track rules package which consists of just the rear spoiler without the air ducts and tapered spacer. If you are looking for exciting bumper to bumper racing, this is the race for you. It could also be redemption time for Martin Truex Jr. who has bumped out of the way on the last lap by Joey Logano during the playoffs. At the time Truex said "He may have won the battle but he won't win the war!". Technically, Truex was wrong as Logano went on to win the Championship in Homestead a few weeks later. For fantasy, dominator points are at the top of the list this week with 500 laps in the race. Looking at the last six races here, there have been multiple drivers to lead 100 or more laps in five straight races and there have been three drivers to do so in two of the last three. As always, qualifying will determine how much place differential value there is but there has not been more than seven drivers to pick up double-digit in the last six races. In fact, last year we saw just five in the fall race and there in the spring race to pick up double-digit place differential. With that, let's jump in and take a look at the previous winners, some track history, and then dig into the pre-qualifying picks. Last Six Winners at Martinsville 2018 Fall - Joey Logano(started 10th, led 309 laps) 2018 Spring - Clint Bowyer(started 9th, led 215 laps) 2017 Fall - Kyle Busch(started 14th, led 184 laps) 2017 Spring - Brad Keselowski(started 4th, led 116 laps) 2016 Fall - Jimmie Johnson(started 3rd, led 92 laps) 2016 Spring - Kyle Busch(started 7th, led 352...

Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings 3/21/19 Buckle up as we have a very busy night in daily fantasy hockey with 12 games on the schedule as the season starts to wind down. Let's jump in and take a look at some top goalies, teams, and players to target to help you cash. Then make sure to check out our projections and lineup optimizer. GOALIE Tuukka Rask FD - $9100 DK - $8300 Opponent - NJ Proj Pts FD - 21.13 DK - 5.28 I normally don't start with a road goalie but I absolutely love the spot for Rask and the Bruins tonight. They have won seven of their last 10 games and sit as the #2 seed in the Eastern Conference standings and now get one of the best matchups on the board. They face a Devils team that has lost eight of 10 in March while scoring just 21 goals, 10 of which came in a two-game span. Rask is coming off a shutout win over the Islanders and while he has been up and down he has held opponents to two or fewer goals six times in his last 10 games. The Bruins are -265 favorites tonight and Rask is in play in all formats. Jordan Binnington FD - $8500 DK - $7900 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 23.07 DK - 5.77 If you are looking to go the value route at goalie, consider rookie Jordan Binnington. He may be one of the biggest surprises of the 2018-19 season as he has been terrific through his first 25 NHL starts. He has not only picked up 18 wins to this point but has also impressed with an elite .930 save % and five shutouts. Tonight, he and the Blues are huge -370 home favorites but he is still best for GPP as the Red Wings have their best player in Dylan Larkin back in the lineup and they are 2-0 since then. Also consider Mike Smith(CGY) who has an elite matchup at home against the Senators Calgary Flames  Opponent - vs. Ottawa Senators Moneyline - CGY -375 Vegas Total - 6.5 Team Projection - 5.1 The Flames are closing in on locking up the #1 seed in the Western Conference and it never hurts when you get a matchup against the worst team in hockey. With a...

Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings 3/19/19

Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings 3/19/19 Welcome back hockey fans. It's time to get ready for a busy Tuesday on the ice as we have 10 games on the schedule. Let's dig in and take a look at some core plays at each position and then be sure to check out the projections and lineup optimizer. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NHL optimizer! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! First time with NBA? GOALIE Braden Holtby FD - $9000 DK - $8300 Opponent - NJ Proj Pts FD - 20.96 DK - 5.24 Despite the huge slate tonight, I am less than thrilled with the goalie options. I will start with Braden Holtby who is, by no means, having his best season overall but has been better lately winning seven of his last 10 starts with a .917 save % and one shutout. During that time, he has only faced 28.8 shots per game but on the season has faced over 30 so there is some upside here tonight. Adding to the upside is the terrific matchup Holtby and the Caps get as they face a Devils team that has dropped eight of their last 10 games and rank 22nd overall on offense. Holtby is in play in all formats. **Update: Phoenix Copley will start for the Caps tonight and can also be considered in all formats** Carter Hart FD - $7800 DK - $8100 Opponent - MON Proj Pts FD - 17.19 DK - 4.3 After Holtby, I turn my attention to the Flyers rookie who will be between the pipes tonight at home vs. the Canadiens. The Flyers are just small -115 favorites but face a Habs team that is struggling down the stretch having dropped four of their last five games scoring just eight total goals. Hart spent some time on IR and after struggling in his first game back, rebounded in a big way on Sunday stopping 41 of 42 shots in a 2-1 shootout win over the rival Penguins. For just $200 more on DraftKings, I will likely just roll with Holtby but on FanDuel Hart makes ton of sense in the sub $8K range. CENTERS Tyler Seguin FD - $7900 DK - $7200 Opponent - FLA Proj Pts FD - 0 DK - 0 There are a ton of options at the center position tonight but what stands out is that the Top 8 on both sites are all on the road. Then...

Daily Fantasy PGA Picks and Betting Guide for DraftKings & FanDuel – Valspar Championship

Daily Fantasy PGA Picks and Betting Guide for DraftKings & FanDuel – Valspar Championship Chris will be bringing you weekly PGA picks, analysis, and breakdowns to help you cash on DraftKings and FanDuel. As every week in DFS PGA changes with the course setup, field of players and weather, Chris will be providing a range of different picks for cash games as well as upside plays for tournaments. If you have any questions to lineup lock you can reach him a variety of ways. Leave your question/comment below in the comments section, find him in the DFSR Chat room or hit him up on Twitter(@Jager_Bombs9). Chris is also providing his DFS PGA Weekly cheatsheet where he provides stats, course history, current form, fantasy points, and much more. Grab your copy today and edge out the competition. Valspar Championship It was a crazy final round at the PLAYERS where as many as a dozen or more players were within a shot or two of the lead late Sunday. In the end, it was Rory McIlroy finally breaking through after five straight Top 6 finishes to start the 2019 season. The Florida Swing continues this week with the Valspar Championship and with the PLAYERS Championship last week and the WGC Match Play starting next week, we get a much less appealing field. It does include, however, World #1 Dustin Johnson, #10 Jon Rahm, #12 Jason Day, and defending champion, World #15 Paul Casey. The Innisbrook Resort, Copperhead Course is annually among the hardest courses on Tour. It is a par 71 that stretches 7,340 yards and like last week, there are a ton of obstacles off the tee including tree-lined fairways, doglegs, sand, and yes more water. Once again we will see golfers turn to a "less than driver" strategy off the tee for the most part as positioning and accuracy is much more important than distance this week. This will leave golfers with more long iron approaches so when breaking down Strokes Gained: Approach make sure to concentrate on the 175-200 and 200+ yard ranges. Adding to the number of long iron shots are the Par 3's as there are not only five this week but all of them are 195+ yards. Scoring on the Par 5's will also be important this week as we normally see about 45-50% of all birdies come from these four holes. Survive on the rest, score on the Par 5's! Let's jump in and take a look at some course facts, previous winners, top stats, and then dig into the picks. The Course Innisbrook Resort(Copperhead) - Palm Harbor, FL Par 71 - 7,340 Yards Greens - Bermuda Hole Composition Approach Shot Distribution Weather Previous Five...
