I believe that's the largest slate we've had on a Thursday since the opening week, and it's the perfect amount of games. What does need to be monitored is the weather, though. We've had numerous postponements throughout the week, and Mother Nature is doing her best to ruin our DFS fun. With that in mind, let's kick things off with the best pitcher on the board. Pitchers Yu Darvish FD - P 11500 DK - SP 10700 Opponent - NYM (Taijuan Walker) Park - SD FD - 44.33 DK - 24.85 If you haven't watched much Yu, be sure to check him out. This guy is one of the most exciting pitchers in the Majors, throwing out numerous pitches at all sorts of weird velocities. That has jelly-legged numerous hitters throughout Darvish's career, and he looks as sharp as ever right now. Since the beginning of last season, Yu has a 2.08 ERA and 0.95 WHIP while striking out 172 batters across 142.2 innings. Those are obviously some of the best numbers in the league, with Darvish scoring at least 35 FanDuel points in eight of his 11 starts this year. We absolutely love that in a matchup like this, with the Mets ranked 25th in OPS and dead-last in runs scored. Tyler Anderson FD - P 7200 DK - SP 8200 Opponent - MIA (Cody Poteet) Park - PIT FD - 31.78 DK - 15.58 I watched many Tyler Anderson starts in his Rockies days, and I always thought he was better than his numbers said. He's shown that for most of this season, collecting at least 21 FanDuel points in all but one start this year. That was a disastrous nine-run outing, and it's quite amazing to see that TA has a 3.51 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in the other nine starts. A lot of that has to do with his home ballpark, with PNC being one of the most pitcher-friendly venues in baseball. We're certainly not worried about him facing Miami either, with the Marlins ranked 25th in OBP, 27th in runs scored, and dead-last in xwOBA. Catcher/First Base Miguel Sanó FD - 1B 2600 DK - 1B/3B 4000 Opponent - KC (Kris Bubic) Park - KC FD - 11.14 DK - 8.23 If you've been reading these articles, you know just how much I love...

You heard that correctly: none of the available point guards are projected for 5x+ points per dollar. Let's break down your options with their various strengths and weaknesses. Damian Lillard: Put up a performance like nobody has ever seen in game 5, shooting an unfathomable 17/24 en route to 55 points in the double overtime affair. But he's $11k, and he averaged just 4x points per dollar on these prices in the regular season. Math suggests he won't replicate his career performance, and any regression at all makes him a non-starter. Chris Paul: No way. Not if he can still play just 25 minutes. If he sits for some reason you can consider Cameron Payne, but Payne is unplayable if Paul is starting. Dennis Schroder: Totally playable on tonight's unfortunate slate of point guards, but you can't be psyched about the game 5 no-show (0-9 from the field!). Still, you have to roster someone at point guard, and we can at least be pretty confident Schroder will have the ball in his hands. If Davis sits, Schroder becomes a lot more appealing. You can honestly consider Alex Caruso if you feel better about punting away point guard. The Nuggets: Campazzo got run off the floor in game 5, yielding to Monte Morris. Morris was quite good, but let's remember that he had 41 minutes to provide his fantasy numbers. If Morris gets the start he's an auto-play for DFS purposes. Coming off the bench, he brings a fair bit of risk. Given that every point guard carries risk, playing Morris might be worth it. Shooting Guard Devin Booker FD - $8400 DK - $8200 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 47.27 DK - 49.37 With CP3 hobbled, Booker is running the offense a lot more than he was during the regular season, and he's certainly been up to the task. He put up a fantastic 30/7/5 line in the game 5 blowout, and you get the feeling that there was room for more if the Lakers managed to keep it close. The Lakers just don't have a defensive answer for...

Point Guard Ja Morant FD - $8200 DK - $8400 Opponent - UTA Proj Pts FD - 41.28 DK - 42.78 All of the point guards are expensive today, so we're sort of threading a needle here. Our system leads with Morant for a few reasons. First, he's arguably as important to his offense as Russell Westbrook is. He's also been surprisingly effective against Utah's stout defense, which has arguably resulted in him playing a higher number of minutes per game as well. Hell, he's averaged more fantasy points per game through three contests than Russell Westbrook has. I just don't see a world where I'm submitting my DFS lineups with Ja tonight. Ben Simmons FD - $8800 DK - $7900 Opponent - WAS Proj Pts FD - 43.46 DK - 43.15 Things get a little closer as we try to pinpoint the second point guard we want. I considered Mike Conley, who has maintained his role as the primary distributor even as Donovan Mitchell has eased back into things, but ultimately landed on Simmons. Big Ben is absolutely indispensable to Philly's defensive scheme against Washington's electric back-court, and he's a rebound away from averaging a triple-double for the series so far. He's taken some minutes off in out-of-hand games two and three, but as the Sixers look to close things out I think his role is a little more secure. Given that Vegas has this as just a 7.5 point game, it seems the oddsmakers agree with me.,p> Shooting Guard Bradley Beal FD - $9600 DK - $9100 Opponent - PHI Proj Pts FD - 50.4 DK - 51.89 While we're generally not enamored with running a guy whose team is having a hard time keeping games within twenty points, in this case we'll make an exception. If the Wiz lose this one there is nothing left to rest for, so we expect Beal to be out there for his full 40 minute rotation in game four. He hasn't gotten over the hump against the Sixers yet, but he did pay this price in the only other game where he played his full rotation. Shooting guard is pretty thin, and...

With a rotating course schedule, this year's PGA returns to the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island for the first time since 2012 when Rory McIlroy roared to a -13 winning score and eight-stroke victory. His winning score did the course no justice as he made it look much easier than it was with only 20 players shooting under par with Rory the only one reaching double-digits. The course is a Pete Dye masterpiece and one of the toughest tests there is in golf. It is a classic Pete Dye design that forces players to be creative and really think out every single shot. Unlike other Pete Dye tracks, however, it adds a ton of distance and listed at over 7,800 yards, is the longest major championship venue in history. The course is somewhat of a Links-style course as all 18 holes are in view of the ocean and the winds unpredictable, inconsistent, and can wreak havoc on a golf round. The big difference with Kiawah Island and other Links courses is that several of the greens here are raised up taking away the traditional bump and run approach shots that we see at other Links venues. This adds a whole other level of difficulty if the winds play a factor. Instead of me trying to describe the course, have a look for yourself in this...

Point Guard Facundo Campazzo FD - $5600 DK - $5800 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 31.89 DK - 31.71 Man, I'm just thrilled to be able to lock Campazzo into a PG slot and build around him. The Nuggets' young point guard is a real dealer - go search Twitter for his highlight clips if you'd like - and the Nuggets are trusting him with the reins out of necessity at the moment. As a starter in the last two weeks he's hit 7x twice and 9x three times. The floor and ceiling are both outrageous against the Timberwolves, who have allowed the fourth most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season. Malachi Flynn FD - $5500 DK - $5700 Opponent - CHI Proj Pts FD - 28.65 DK - 29.07 With basically the entire Raptors team ruled out for Thursday, we get the chance to run Malachi Flynn as close to a one-man band. He's paid nearly 6x points per dollar in each of his last two games, and the Raptors are even thinner tonight than they were then. It's a league-average match-up, but this is a straight-up price and opportunity mismatch that we're happy to take advantage of. Also considered: Ben Simmons. Shooting Guard Devin Booker FD - $7500 DK - $8300 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 45.19 DK - 47.31 Now if this isn't a marquee match-up, I'm not sure what is. The Trail Blazers are battling tooth and nail to stay out of the play-in game, and the Suns are battling for the #1 seed. Great stuff. Booker has been solid on these prices all season, and has been cresting toward 39-40 minute rotations as the Suns stay hungry down the stretch. Portland, meanwhile, will be on the second half of a back-to-back after facing the actual #1 seed Jazz on Wednesday. I love Booker as a cash game option here. Kevin Huerter FD - $4300 DK - $4700 Opponent - ORL Proj Pts FD - 25.6 DK - 25.96 This price is just a straight up mistake, right? Huerter is no longer injured, and the May 10th Wizards game shows us...

The Course TPC Craig Ranch Par 72 - 7,468 Yards Greens - Bentgrass **Click the image above to see a hole by hole breakdown from PGATour.com** This week the PGA Tour heads to Texas and TPC Craig Ranch for the 2021 AT&T Byron Nelson. Compared to previous years, it has a fairly strong field led by Jon Rahm(#3) and Bryson DeChambeau(#4). The event also moves to a new location and you may not have heard of the course(I know I haven't) as its previous PGA exposure was the now Korn Ferry Tour(Web.com then) finals in 2012 and 2008. One thing is clear when looking at the scorecard. This course is a beast listed at over 7,400 yards and features another set of tough Par 4's with six over 450 yards and three over 480 yards. The Par 3's are no walk in park either as three of the four are over 215 yards. In going through the flyover of TPC Craig ranch, we can see the very forgiving fairways that the players have mentioned in interviews and also the large green complexes. This would suggest we may see a birdie fest for the bombers or those who are spot on with their long irons but there is still one defense we haven't talked about. The wind! Thursday looks great and very consistent 5-8 mph winds all day but Friday is where it gets a bit interesting. The early tee times(Friday) may have an advantage here as winds pick up around the time the second wave heads out for their rounds. It won't be something I use in a model, by any means, but will come more into play when deciding between player A and Player B. It will especially come into play for the Friday showdown so stay tuned for updates. For my model this week, with...
