James and Doug are back to take an early look at cash games in week 11 on FanDuel and DraftKings. Quarterback has a few options that we haven't considered much this season in Justin Herbert and Lamar Jackson. Herbert has had a surprisingly high floor this season, and has a great match-up with the terrible New York Jets. Jackson hasn't been the guy he was last season, but the upside is still there with him getting 10+ carries a game. The guys discuss the pros and cons of each. Running back presents a bevy of cheap options, and the difficulty this week is picking between them. DFSR feels like Ballage and McKissic are the best options, but people will certainly dabble with Harris, Ahmed, and even Duke Johnson. If you run two cheap guys, you're going to have room for a top tier play, and it will be tough to choose between McCaffrey and Cook. Wide receiver is actually fairly tough this week. Davante Adams is a great play (as usual), but can you afford him alongside McCaffrey or Cook? Thankfully there are some good cheap options, with each of the Steelers wide receivers looking good, Brandin Cooks in a bounceback, and others. Tight end is a disaster as always, and DFSR is leaning toward Hayden Hurst as a high floor way to get away from a bad position cheaply. Love the DFSR podcast? START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterbacks Lamar Jackson FD 8400 DK 7300 Opponent TENProj Points FD - 23.36 DK - 23.9 The bad news first. Lamar Jackson hasn’t been anywhere close to what we saw from the electrifying quarterback in 2019. There’s been a steep drop-off this season in the passing yards even though the efficiency has been relatively in the same range. The TDs aren’t keeping pace either, though those numbers were definitely due to regress some from what we saw. Where he’s way behind last season is the rushing yards. Last season he was averaging more than 80 yards per game, but this season it’s only around 52. But that’s ticked up to 71/5 yards per game over the last four and this week he gets a bottom-third defense in the Tennessee Titans. It’s also a big-time pace-up matchup with the Titans allowing the second most opponent plays per game, trailing only Seattle. If there’s a breakout spot for Jackson, this looks like it. We aren’t getting him at any kind of huge discount, but the price has dropped since the beginning of the season. Justin Herbert FD 8500 DK 6800 Opponent NYJProj Points FD - 22.32 DK - 23.43 Since taking over for Tyros Taylor in Week 2, Herbert has been nothing short of fantastic from a fantasy perspective. In fact, in that time span he ranks as QB5 in raw fantasy scoring behind only Murray, Allen, Mahomes and Wilson. That’s such an impressive list and is nothing short of amazing considering he wasn’t even the starter Week 1 and it took a punctured lung to get him in there. The accuracy is decent at 67% but he’s getting it done in the red zone through the air with 19 passing touchdowns as well as on the ground with three rushing TDs. This week the Chargers get the garbage Jets who rank 29th overall in defensive DVOA and dead last against the pass. Herbert’s price has come up for good reason, but he’s still very much a play here in a choice matchup. Alex Smith FD 6600 DK 5300 Opponent CINProj Points FD - 16.78 DK - 17.66 If looking for a cheaper play, especially on DraftKings the hero story of Alex Smith could be a place to turn. Two years from nearly losing his leg and his...
Injury analysis for week 10 of NFL DFS on FanDuel and DraftKings
Injury analysis for week 10 of NFL DFS on FanDuel and DraftKings Welcome to our weekly injury analysis article! Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger FD 7400 DK 6200 Opponent CIN Proj Points FD - 0 DK - 0 Well, we live in a world where sitting next to the wrong guy on the plane can land you on the IR. Roethlisberger did just that last Sunday, sitting next to Vance McDonald, who received a positive Covid test on Monday. Ben is now in a five-day quarantine, and we won't know his status until Saturday when he might participate in a walk-through. If he plays, it's a green light from us on the entire Steelers offense in a great match-up. If he sits, the Steelers become irrelevant for DFS purposes with Mason Rudolph under center. Kyle Allen FD 6500 DK 4800 Opponent DET Proj Points FD - 0 DK - 0 Allen's season is over, leaving the quarterback duties to soft throwing Alex Smith. While it's not clear that either quarterback should be chucking balls in the NFL, Alex Smith does change the offense considerably. We saw this come to pass in dramatic fashion against the Giants, where running back JD McKissic receive 14 targets, even lining up in the slot for a number of snaps. For now we're downgrading conventional deep threat Terry McLaurin, and upgrading McKissic to cash game consideration on DraftKings. Running Back Christian McCaffrey FD 9700 DK 9000 Opponent TB Proj Points FD - 0 DK - 0 McCaffrey is out for week 10, leaving the running back duties back in Mike Davis' mostly capable hands. It's a tough match-up with the Bucs, but Davis is cheap enough that you're going to need to consider running him in all formats. Nick Chubb FD 8200 DK 6800 Opponent HOU Proj Points FD - 11.96 DK - 12.35 The final word on Chubb for this weekend is that the Browns will consult with the medical staff before clearing Chubb to play against the Texans. If Chubb is cleared, we'll be staying away from the Cleveland running game altogether. If he sits, we'll take a long hard look at Kareem Hunt in cash games. UPDATE: Chubb has been cleared, and the Browns' running game is a stay-away. Chris Carson FD 7800 DK 6200 Opponent LAR Proj Points FD - 0 DK - 0...

Things are certainly a little less certain heading into week 10 than they were in week 9, but we still have a lot to talk about heading into the weekend. There are a number of domino-effect situations, for starters. Which of the Seattle running backs is going to wind up playing, and will we know in time to set our lineups? Will Big Ben play against Cincinnati? What about the running back situations in Cleveland, Houston, and Washington? The list of situations to wade through is nearly endless this week. The most intriguing position this week seems to be wide receiver, where there is a slew of guys in the $5,500-$6,800 range that have similar recent production. The guys go game by game, constantly updating their list of which of these guys they prefer most. All in all, it could be a wild week 10, and this isn't an NFL DFS podcast you're going to want to miss. Love the DFSR podcast? Go ahead and subscribe and listen wherever you get your daily podcasts. James and Doug are back to take an early look at cash games for a much more sane week 10 on FanDuel and DraftKings. Quarterback is once again boiling down to finding the best high priced options, with Kyler Murray leading the DFSR pack so far. The guys go in-depth discussing whether you can consider Aaron Rodgers against Jacksonville, which could be a popular play this week as well. Running back is one big question mark at this point. If injuries break in a certain way, we have some phenomenal plays in Mike Davis, Duke Johnson, and Chase Edmonds. If they don't, we'll be left with a smattering of un-sexy midrange options. This position is a wait-and-see until later in the week. We'd really like to pay up at wide receiver this week, with Davante Adams headlining the week in a great match-up with the Jags. After Adams, we have two solid mid-range options in Cooper Kupp and Keenan Allen. If we can't pay up, there are discussions to be had about Terry McLaurin, Robby Anderson, or Sterling Shepard. Tight end is actually fairly clear this week, with Evan Engram looking like the best play unless Kenny Golladay misses another week, in which case TJ Hockenson would be in consideration once again. For a limited time we're offering a free one week trial to all the sports that we cover - that's optimal lineups for NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB - for the same low price. Get started now! START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterbacks Kyler Murray FD 8800 DK 8000 Opponent BUFProj Points FD - 25.92 DK - 26.73 Through eight games, Kyler Murray is currently the NFL leader in per game FanDuel scoring and is second for DraftKings behind only Russell Wilson. He leads all quarterbacks in rushing yards this season with 543 which ranks him eighth overall. He has 74 more yards than the next-closest signal-caller (Lamar Jackson) and his rushing touchdowns rank him third overall. It’s the gains on the ground which make up for him not throwing for a tremendous amount of yards or touchdowns through the air so far. But no matter. If he’s going to average 9.5 runs per game then the fantasy floor remains very high. This game projects to be a shootout with the 56 over/under the highest of any game on the week. The Bills’ defense ranks in the bottom third this season and they allow the 11th-most opponent plays per game. It’s hard to see Murray not paying this price. Aaron Rodgers FD 8400 DK 7900 Opponent JAXProj Points FD - 21.58 DK - 22.08 It’s going to be very enticing to run a full Packers game stack in cash on Sunday’s main slate. They are big (-14) home favorites against the woeful Jacksonville Jaguars and their bottom-feeding defense. Rodgers is coming just a bit cheaper than Murray on both sites. Unlike Murray, Rodgers has done his damage through the air this season with 24 touchdowns to just two interceptions. And over the last three games with his preferred target, DaVante Adams back and fully healthy Rodgers has thrown for 11 TDs, zero interceptions, and completed 71% of his passes. Jacksonville allows a whopping 8.4 yards per pass attempt this season, last in the league with no real hope of getting better. Grabbing as much Green Bay offense as you can this week is going to look like the right move. Daniel Jones FD 6700 DK 5200 Opponent PHIProj Points FD - 17.81 DK - 18.55 If looking to go a little cheaper on DraftKings, Danny Dimes could represent a way to cut some costs on this slate. Now let’s not kid ourselves, Jones isn’t all that good at throwing the ball. He is completing only 62% of his passes and has more interceptions (9) than touchdowns (8). But...
