It’s been that way most of the season and Week 13 is no different. Wilson is QB3 on the season behind only Mahomes and Murray thanks to his obvious skill and Seattle’s insistence on keeping other teams in the game. This week he gets a cake matchup against the Giants who rank 20th overall on defense and 25th against the pass. This is a smash spot for the Seahawks who come in as big, -10, favorites. The only concern here with Russ is Seattle gets going early, can keep a Colt McCoy-led offense in check and just grind it out on the ground. But he still has such a high floor it’s tough to imagine him sinking you either. Justin Herbert FD 7900 DK 6900 Opponent NE Proj Points FD - 23.06 DK - 24.24 Herbert’s 26.1 DraftKings points per game rank him fourth in the league in one of the truly surprising seasons we’ve seen from a rookie in quite some time. The price has come up requisitely but he’s still a guy to target this week. The Patriots defense is one of the worst in the league ranking 31st and 30th against the pass. Herbert has 40 or more passing attempts in six of his last seven games thanks to the Chargers often playing from behind. And he’s got another weapon back with Austin Ekeler fully off the IR. The issue with Herbert isn’t the defensive matchup but rather New England’s pace. Because they just grind the clock out on the ground, they allow (by far) the fewest opponent plays per game. But like Wilson the floor is high enough for Herbert here. Taysom Hill FD 7700 DK 6300 Opponent ATL Proj Points FD - 20.69 DK - 21.34 Hill runs back a matchup from two weeks ago when he debuted as the Saints’ signal caller with Drew Brees hitting the IR. Things started slow, but it didn’t take long for him to start racking up points. He ended up as one of the plays of the day throwing for 233 yards but more importantly, putting in 49 yards on the ground...

Head on over and check out what they have to offer. Tennessee Titans Opponent CLETitans -6 This line started at -4.5 (which we got in early on) and then climbed to -6 in the span of about 36 hours. It isn’t enough. The way things are trending, you’ll likely be able to get it at -5.5 when you read this. That works too obviously. The thing here is the Browns are the biggest smoke and mirrors team in the NFL. They are 8-3 with a negative point differential. Read that again: They are 8-3 and have been outscored by 21 points this season. The reason for this is they have played the second-easiest schedule in the league. They have one win against a team with a record of better than .500 (the Colts). When they’ve played actual *good* teams, like the Ravens and Steelers, they’ve been smoked. They rank 19th in defense, non-schedule adjusted which is a travesty considering their offensive opponents have ranked their D as the second-easiest schedule. Should I keep going here? Sure, Tennessee’s defense is no great shakes, but the offense ranks 3rd overall. The Browns are average or below on both sides of the ball. Absolutely love the Titans here not giving enough because the opponent has a mirage of a record. San Francisco 49ers Opponent BUF49ers +2.5 The 49ers have played most of the season without their original starting quarterback and have had basically every running back get hurt at some point. They’ve had injuries on the defensive end as well with guys like Richard Sherman just coming off the IR last week. And yet, in spite of bad runs all around on the injury front and a 5-6 record on the season, they still have a positive (+7) point differential. That’s because the coaching is among (or just is) the best in the league. This week is a little weird with the 49ers having to move out of California and into Arizona because of COVID-related regulations. After three-straight tough games against the Seahawks, Packers, and Saints they pulled out a win over the Rams in Week 12. San Fran has the 9th-ranked defensive DVOA on the season and have held opponents to 20 or fewer points in eight of their 11 games this season. Meanwhile, the Bills has merely a +17 point differential despite playing the 19th most difficult schedule (SF is 6th...

James and Doug are back to break down every game on the main slate of FanDuel and DraftKings for week 12. For a three-game slate, Thanksgiving presents us with a number of solid cash game options. We've got Watson holding it down at quarterback, Zeke and (hopefully) Swift at running back, and a number of reasonable receivers between Pittsburgh, Houston, and even Washington. We're keeping an eye on the Baltimore/Pittsburgh game to make sure it goes, of course, but it doesn't look like a bad slate all things considered. Sunday's slate is actually fairly robust as well, since there are no more byes for the rest of the season. We have two strong quarterback options in Josh Allen and Kyler Murray, with a little Taysom Hill if we wind up needing some savings on DraftKings. Running back is probably the most difficult position to break down at this point, with Salvon Ahmed being the only truly exciting option available at this point. We're hoping to be able to run Kalen Ballage, but we need to keep an eye on the potential Austin Ekeler return. Wide receiver is very deep this week, if a bit expensive. It will be tough to decide between Keenan Allen, Stefon Diggs, and Tyreek Hill - and it's going to be tough to pay for all three of them. All in all there is much to discuss, so don't miss the DFSR boys breaking it all down! Love the DFSR podcast? Go ahead and subscribe and listen wherever you get your daily podcasts. Quarterbacks Kyler Murray FD 9100 DK 8200 Opponent NEProj Points FD - 25.11 DK - 25.93 Murray suffered an AC joint injury in the Seattle game, but after being checked out he returned to action and the Cardinals are assuming he'll play in this one against the floundering Pats. Deshaun Watson just embarrassed this Patriots defense in week 11, paying him price before halftime. Given that Murray is currently a rich man's version of Watson, he should be able to cook here. It's the best fantasy player of the year against the league's worst defense per DVOA - what more could we realistically ask for here? Josh Allen FD 8600 DK 7600 Opponent LACProj Points FD - 23.06 DK - 23.88 Not that anyone is really sleeping on Allen at this point, but it's certainly worth bringing him up for cash consideration given that he's significantly cheaper than Murray on both sites. Allen hasn't scored as many fantasy points per game as Murray this year, but Vegas totals suggest that the Bills are favored to score the most points of any team this week. It makes sense - the Chargers combine a mediocre defense with a fast-paced offense, letting other teams score the 8th most points per game this season. I could certainly see running Allen out there in a week where every dollar matters thanks to a relative lack of punt plays. Also considered: Taysom Hill! He was actually very efficient through the air, and his typical ground excellence saw him punching in two rushing touchdowns. Running Backs Kalen Ballage FD 5500 DK 5800 Opponent BUFProj Points FD - 14.73 DK - 16.59 Ballage was the highest owned running back in week 11, and while his final stat line doesn't jump off the page, the floor is looking pretty darn excellent at this point. He got 25 opportunities in the competent Chargers offense, including 7 receptions. Now, playing him this week depends on the status of Austin Ekeler, who has been activated off the IR and has been practicing in a limited fashion. If Ballage happens to be the RB1 again, he'll ply his trade against Buffalo, who has quietly been a bottom 10 team in terms of DVOA against the run this season. The Chargers have a solid 24 point total this week, and...

Quarterback Drew Brees FD 8200 DK 6600 Opponent ATL Proj Points FD - 0 DK - 0 As an old guy myself, I'm horrified by Drew Brees and hoping for a speedy recovery. As a DFS owner, I'm thinking about the ramifications for this weekend's contests. Adam Schefter reported that Taysom Hill is going to start against the Falcons this weekend, which creates one of the strangest DFS opportunities we've had since we started this business. Hill is currently a $4,500 tight end on FanDuel, which makes him an absolute must in cash games on FanDuel this week. UPDATE: The Saints have walked back the news that Hill is the definitive starter, so you'll need to check this news as the game gets closer. Matthew Stafford FD 7500 DK 6000 Opponent CAR Proj Points FD - 17.32 DK - 18.01 Stafford has been limited in practice, but the Lions seem optimistic that he'll be out there against the Panthers this week. He's wearing a protective device to safeguard the torn ligament in his thumb, but he should be ready to go by game time. I'm not interested in playing Stafford, and would be concerned about running any of his receivers even if he gets the green light. Teddy Bridgewater FD 7200 DK 6400 Opponent DET Proj Points FD - 18.03 DK - 18.62 Bridgewater is currently considered "unlikely" to play against the Lions this weekend, and his absence would kill any remaining interest we have in the speculative Carolina receivers. An MCL sprain could hamper Bridgewater's ability to get out in space and create time for his receivers to get open, and even if he plays I'd be pretty concerned to play his receivers here. Running Back Christian McCaffrey FD 10000 DK 9400 Opponent DET Proj Points FD - 0 DK - 0 McCaffrey has been ruled out of week 11's tilt with the Lions, leaving the RB1 duties to Mike Davis once again. While you can't take Davis' performance against a brutal Bucs defense as an indicator of how he'll do every week, the combination of a bad week and a dramatic rise in price certainly takes some of the shine off of him. Still, he's a terrific play in big tournaments, where the aforementioned concerns should create an opportunity to play a high upside back with relatively low ownership. Joe Mixon...

James and Doug are back to break down every game on the main slate of FanDuel and DraftKings for week 11. With Christian McCaffrey going down, it looks like Dalvin Cook and Davante Adams will be the default pay-up options in all formats. We don't believe that it opens up Mike Davis as an interesting cash game play, but he's a great big tournament play. The guys go through the long list of cheap running backs, discussing how you might prioritize each in various formats this week. And there are a lot of them, with Kalen Ballage, JD McKissic, Salvon Ahmed, Damien Harris, DeAndre Swift, Duke Johnson, and potentially Giovani Bernard being playable this week. That's a long list, but the guys believe there are some clearly better options than others. There are some other questions to answer this week as well. To what degree do we trust Jameis in cash games, and how does he impact the Saints' offense? How do we handle opportunity projections for teams that played in windy conditions last week?
