Quarterback Josh Allen FD 9000 DK 7500 Opponent IND Proj Points FD - 21.33 DK - 22.1 Josh Allen could be a tough fade on this Saturday slate considering just how much of the team’s fantasy production comes through his arm and his legs. Allen finished the season as QB1 in terms of overall raw fantasy points and second only to Patrick Mahomes in per-game scoring at the position because the latter sat Week 17. While the Colts’ defense has been more than sound this season, ranking 7th in defensive DVOA, this game has easily the highest over/under of the day (53) with the Bills as -7 favorites owning the best-implied total (29.5). Allen’s ability to sling it (37 passing TDs) and run (421 yards and eight TDs on the ground) make him the ideal cash game quarterback. John Wolford FD 6200 DK 4900 Opponent SEA Proj Points FD - 16.23 DK - 17.05 If you want a cheaper option on this slate Wolford is actually a fine option. In his first NFL snaps, in a must-win Week 17 game against the Cardinals the rookie quarterback threw for 231 yards on a 57% completion percentage. That’s obviously merely *meh* but he also got out and scrambled for 56 yards on six carries. If he can do work with his legs then the floor is probably high enough at these price points. He’ll face a middle-tier defense in the Seahawks who allowed the most opponents plays per game (69.5) this season. It’s a pace-up matchup for Wolford who’s coming as the cheapest quarterback on the slate on DraftKings. Running Back Jonathan Taylor FD 8800 DK 7900 Opponent BUF Proj Points FD - 16.94 DK - 18.03 Taylor comes into the game as a prohibitive underdog to the Bills, -7 on the road. That isn’t typically where we want to be with running backs, especially if there are concerns about lack of opportunity when playing from behind. Since Week 11, Taylor ranks third in running back fantasy points per game behind only Derrick Henry and David Montgomery. In that time he averaged 18 touches (16 rushes, two targets) per game and posted well over 100 yards per game in...

Before we get started, just note that Luka Doncic's status will determine a lot of where lineups are going to head today. If he's out, basically every remaining Maverick is in play from a DFS perspective. If he plays, you can't run them. You'll have to keep an eye out as it leads up to lineup lock. Point Guard Markelle Fultz FD - $5800 DK - $6500 Opponent - CLE Proj Pts FD - 37.77 DK - 38.01 Fultz has picked up right where he left off at the end of last season, helping us understand why Orlando was happy to pay the former number 1 overall pick handsomely. He's been a similar player in all but one way - he's shooting way more often. He's added 5 shots a game (a 50% increase!) in spite of playing just 2 more minutes per game, and has 8+ assists in each of the Magic's last two non-blowout affairs. While the Cleveland back-court is promising offensively, they still have significant defensive struggles, and Fultz looks like a great value to me here. Elfrid Payton FD - $5300 DK - $6000 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 34.08 DK - 35.8 Stacking the Atlanta game has been a winning strategy so far this season, so we'll at least consider keeping the ball rolling with the relevant Knicks today. Payton's minutes have been up and down, which is why his fantasy points per game don't look great, but in close games, he's been playing a very active 33+. He'll likely draw Trae Young here, which could lead to another 19/8/5 type night like he just put up against the Pacers. It's a little closer on DraftKings at the higher price point, but he gets a full green light from us on FanDuel. Keep an eye on Evan Fournier's status. He missed practice on Sunday, and if he doesn't suit up Michael Carter-Williams would be in play in spite of his limited production on 30+ minutes last game. Shooting Guard James Harden FD - $11400 DK - $11100 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 56.92 DK - 60.4 You'll likely have to pay up...

Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 17

Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 17 Want access to the projections that power these picks? For a limited time we're offering a free one week trial to all the sports that we cover - that's optimal lineups for NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB - for the same low price. Get started now! START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterbacks Lamar Jackson FD 9000 DK 8000 Opponent CIN Proj Points FD - 26.81 DK - 27.39 The Ravens need to win their Week 17 game to get into the playoffs and have one of the easiest paths to getting it done. They are 13-point favorites against the lowly Bengals and should lean heavily on Lamar Jackson to take care of business early and often in this game. Over the last four weeks he’s really turned the fantasy production back on to the levels we saw in last season’s MVP campaign. Since Week 12, he’s the second-best fantasy per game quarterback, averaging 29.2 DraftKings points thanks in large part to some huge rushing weeks. I doubt the Ravens stop what’s been working over the last four weeks, all wins. Jackson is expensive but is arguably the safest play here. Ryan Tannehill FD 8200 DK 7000 Opponent HOU Proj Points FD - 23.61 DK - 24.5 Jackson has an easy path to the playoffs, but the Titans might not be too far behind them. Tennessee needs a win over Houston to advance and the latter comes in with the third-worst defense on the season. Plus, this game has the week’s highest over/under (56.5) with the Titans -6.5 road favorites. Tannehill is coming off of a brutal week passing in bad conditions in Green Bay but did manage 55 yards and a touchdown on the ground. The passing yards can come and go, but Houston’s defense is so brutal that Tannehill is in play. And Deshaun Watson is good enough to turn the game into a shootout. It’s worth noting that Tannehill’s best game of the season was against these Texans when he put up 366 yards and four touchdowns in an overtime win. Daniel Jones FD 7000 DK 5100 Opponent DAL Proj Points FD - 20.54 DK - 21.47 Like we said, a big theme of this week will be teams with something to play for and that’s most definitely the case with the Giants who can get into the playoffs with a win over the Cowboys and a Washington loss. But the latter won’t be decided until later in the evening. So rest assured, the Giants will want to keep their foot on the gas. One of Jones’s biggest superlatives here is that he’s cheap in...

Point Guard Ja Morant FD - $8500 DK - $8300Opponent - BKNProj Pts FD - 42.39 DK - 44.05 Don't look now, but one of the league's most exciting young players might just be making a leap. Morant has shot 24 times a game over his first two this season - a 10 shot jump over last year's average - while being even more efficient from the field. He's played 4 more minutes per game, which looks to be his rotation in close games going forward. Now this Brooklyn game rates to be his toughest test yet in terms of Memphis' ability to stay in the game, but nobody will accuse Kyrie and Dinwiddie of being a strong defensive backcourt. Morant is going to settle in as a player who's 10% more expensive in short order, and I'm a buyer on these prices. Jamal Murray FD - $7100 DK - $7100Opponent - HOUProj Pts FD - 35.7 DK - 36.55 Isn't this kind of a steal for what we got used to expecting from Murray during the bubble last season? I get that it's been a rocky start so far, but if there's one thing we've learned from 7 years in this business it's this: we want to be buyers when a guy's price drops due to a bad shooting percentage. Murray went 1-9 in his debut, which has sandbagged his entire DFS season. He still got 20 shots in the air against the Clippers, and the 37 minutes he played mean the Nuggets aren't concerned about his calf. If he merely returns to last season's form, he's a terrific play against a banged-up Rockets team that has trouble with speedy point guards. Also considered: Killian Hayes? Playing in the NBA has looked hard for the Pistons' rookie so far, but Derrick Rose sitting opens up a lot of ball-handling duties. Shooting Guard Harden With John Wall still in his mandated quarantine, Harden will continue to work his way back into shape against the Nuggets on Monday. It's not like the few extra pounds really hurt his ability to play basketball, very well, for a long period of time - Harden...

Point Guard Malcolm Brogdon FD - $7100 DK - $7400 Opponent - CHI Proj Pts FD - 37.36 DK - 38.82 Brogdon was, quite simply, phenomenal in the Pacers' opener against the Knicks. He was efficient on 8-16 shooting, and chipped in a well-rounded 8 assists, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals while he was at it. He played 35 minutes and appeared to be in excellent shape. Tonight he'll draw the Bulls, an average defensive team last year that arguably has gotten worse as it's shifted more minutes to the defensive challenged Coby White. I picture Brogdon rounding into an $8,000 DFS play in short order, and think we're getting a discount here. Dejounte Murray FD - $6900 DK - $6400 Opponent - TOR Proj Pts FD - 35.91 DK - 35.61 Speaking of under-priced point guards, Murray put up a Brogdon-esque 21/6/9/2 line against the Grizzlies before losing a few minutes when the game was out of hand. With Derrick White out for this one as well, we can expect Murray to shoulder a similar burden against the Raptors here. While the Spurs played a middle-of-the-pack pace over the course of last season, they were one of the fastest-paced teams in the bubble last year, and I think many players on this squad could be under-priced as a result. Terry Rozier FD - $6400 DK - $7000 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 31.88 DK - 33.46 Any concerns that Lamelo Ball was going to usurp the Charlotte point guard throne have to be at least set aside for the moment, with the Hornets' big-ticket point guard going to town for 42 points from the field an astounding 10 three-pointers against the Cavaliers in the Hornets' opener. He played 38 minutes out of the gate. Ball looked lost and didn't score a point in his 16 minutes on the court. Rozier's job looks safe for the time being, and while you don't love paying significantly more than you did in the opener, his floor looks high enough that you can justify it against a bad OKC team. Shooting Guard Buddy Hield FD - $5600 DK - $7100 Opponent -...

START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW!   James and Doug are back to break down every game on the main slate of FanDuel and DraftKings for week 16. It's a strange week, with a lot of unknowns heading into the holiday weekend. We're hoping that teams and reporters are as sharp with reporting as usual, but that's certainly not clear at this point. For starters, a lot of viable DFS offenses are going up against tough defenses, and when you combine that with the fact that it's a shorter slate than usual the pickings are somewhat slim. The guys have their eye on the KC/ATL game, which should be a shootout that also has some injury implications. The potential absence of Julio Jones and/or Tyreek Hill could open up some serious DFS value. Some other great teams to target this week include Chicago and Houston, and after that there appears to be a significant fall off. There are a number of total stay-away teams, like the Jets, Jaguars, Bengals, Giants, and Broncos. There are teams with reasonable skill options with no consistent plan for getting them the ball in Philly, Dallas, and Carolina. The Rams/Seahawks has a high total, but the last two times these teams met it amounted to precious little fantasy production. Tune in as Doug and James try to find the diamonds in the rough in a tough week 16 of NFL DFS. Love the DFSR podcast? Go ahead and subscribe and listen wherever you get your daily podcasts.
