We have a mix of early slates between the two sites so for this article, I will be looking at my top plays at each position for the main slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Let's get started. Pitchers Tyler Glasnow FD - P 10700 DK - SP 9100 Opponent - BOS (Martin Perez) Park - BOS FD - 37.7 DK - 20.85 The main slate is not short of top pitching options as most teams' rotations are turning over for the first time. I will start with Tyler Glasnow who was dazzling on opening day going six innings, allowing just one hit, and striking six while walking zero batters. While this game doesn't have the lowest total(8.5) nor are the Rays the biggest favorites(-141) but Glasnow has big time K stuff(38% in 2020) and faces a Red Sox team who have only scored five runs through three games going into Monday with.205 team wOBA. There is an argument to go elsewhere on FanDuel where Glasnow is 2nd in salary but on DraftKings, he is my top pitcher in the low $9K range. Clayton Kershaw FD - P 9000 DK - SP 9500 Opponent - OAK (Chris Bassitt) Park - OAK FD - 36.62 DK - 19.88 Kershaw got a tough draw to start the season pitching in Coors and looked a bit rusty as well giving up 10 hits and five earned runs while striking out just two batters. I am not overlooking that opening day performance but I am not overly concerned as the price has not budged at all on either site and he faces an Athletics team that has struggled offensively scoring just nine runs in their first four games while striking out 26% of the time. I look for a big bounce-back game from Kershaw and he is in play for me in all formats. Catcher/First Base Vladimir Guerrero Jr. FD - 1B 3000 DK - 1B/3B 4400 Opponent - TEX (Dane Dunning) Park - TEX FD - 12.09 DK - 9.17 Nate Lowe FD - 1B 3300 DK - 1B 3800 Opponent - TOR (Tanner Roark) Park - TEX FD - 10.21 DK - 7.72 At first base, I love turning to the Jays/Rangers game as we get two options in the mid-tier. Let's start with Vladdy Jr. who came into this season in *coughs* much better shape...

Making it even better this time around is the fact this is the second trip to Augusta National in the last five months but unlike November, there will be patrons to cheer on this elite field. Every one of the Top 50 players in the World is teeing up this week with the news that Brooks Koepka is going to give it a try after dealing with an injury. As it should be, Augusta National Golf Club is annually one of the toughest tests on Tour ranking 11th, 16th, 7th, 2nd, and 3rd hardest over the last five years. It's a long Par 72 setup that stretches out over 7,400 yards. The fairways may be wide and see above-average driving accuracy in relation to other events but the real challenge comes on the approach to these very undulated and fast greens with natural run-offs that can really get you into trouble. Not only do you need to be on point with your irons to have a shot at birdie opportunities but you also need to have a strong scrambling/around the green game as to not hemorrhage strokes to the field. Let's now take a look at the scorecard, previous winners, breakdown of the key stats, and then get into the core plays. The Course Augusta National Golf Club Par 72 - 7,475 Yards Greens - Bentgrass **Click the image above to see a hole by hole breakdown from PGATour.com** Previous Five Winners 2020 - Dustin Johnson(-20) 2019 - Tiger Woods(-13) 2018 - Patrick Reed(-15) 2017 - Sergio Garcia(-9) 2016 - Danny Willett(-5)...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Monday 4/5/21

Point Guard Jordan McLaughlin FD - $4600 DK - $4400 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 29.71 DK - 29.03 With D'Angelo Russell and Ricky Rubio considered doubtful for tonight's game, the Wolves should turn the point guard duties back over to Jordan McLaughlin. The Timberwolves' third-string point guard put in 42 minutes of duty in their Saturday loss to Philly, and supplied 39.7 FanDuel points in the process. It's a far better match-up here with the Kings, and McLaughlin is just a price and opportunity mismatch at these price points. Discussing the rest: After McLaughlin, you'll need some context to plan for tonight. Mike Conley is labeled as questionable, and if he winds up sitting Jordan Clarkson becomes a clear value option. All signs point to his sitting on Saturday being due to being on a back-to-back, but if he does sit, you should be ready. If you find a lot of value options thanks to the number of questionable players tonight, Luka is playable even in a tough match-up with the Jazz. Luka becomes a better option if Josh Richardson Kristaps Porzingis wind up missing this one. If none of that value comes to fruition, De'Aaron Fox could see big ownership against the Timberwovles, and Derrick White is playable as well. Shooting Guard Anthony Edwards FD - $7400 DK - $7600 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 38.22 DK - 39.85 Edwards is playing otherworldly minutes with the Wolves' entire frontcourt looking doubtful, and like McLaughlin, he will see huge cash game ownership. He's very scoring dependent, but if he's in line for 40 minutes in a close game, it shouldn't matter in a great match-up with the Kings. Tyrese Haliburton FD - $5800 DK - $6500 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 32.45 DK - 32.96 Halliburton has averaged almost exactly 5x points per dollar in his last four contests and should do even better against a Minnesota team that plays the sixth-fastest PACE with the fourth-worst defensive efficiency. The Timberwolves are so shallow in the back-court that a hustler like Halliburton is in a great position to use his hustle to chip in extra...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Saturday 4/2/21

Posted by on Apr 2, 2021 in Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks, DraftKings MLB Picks, FanDuel MLB Picks, featured, News, Other Daily Fantasy Sports, Uncategorized |

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Saturday 4/2/21 We saw a little bit of everything on Opening Day including two postponed games, a snow game, and some top aces getting hit hard early. On Friday, we get a smaller six-game main slate so let's dive in and look at some core plays at each position for FanDuel and DraftKings. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW!   Pitchers Blake Snell FD - P 9500 DK - SP 9700 Opponent - ARI (Merrill Kelly) Park - SD FD - 37.12 DK - 20.61 The top of the salary gives us two elite pitchers making their debuts with their news teams and both are in play on this small slate. I lean Snell for a couple of reasons and it starts with the slight discount($500 on FD, $800 on DK) which could allow us some upgrades with our bats if you are not just stacking them together(DK). Snell also gets the better matchup at home in Petco Park vs. the D-Backs who were a bottom-five team vs. left-handed pitching last season. Fire up Snell in all formats. Pablo López FD - P 7800 DK - SP 7000 Opponent - TB (Ryan Yarbrough) Park - MIA FD - 31.17 DK - 16.29 If you aren't paying up for both Bauer and Snell I like going right down into the value range for my SP2 on DraftKings. Lopez was terrific in a shortened Covid season in 2020 as he allowed two or fewer earned runs in nine of 11 starts for a 3.61 ERA and while he had an average K rate(24%) he covered that with an elite ground ball rate(52%). He takes the mound in game two for the Marlins and faces a Tampa Bay team that struggled yesterday and was just league-average vs. righties in 2020 but struck out 26% of the time. Catcher/First Base Eric Hosmer FD - 1B 3500 DK - 1B 4800 Opponent - ARI (Merrill Kelly) Park - SD FD - 11.16 DK - 8.48 While it was a shortened season in 2020, it was nice to see a bounce-back for Hosmer(.287/.333/.517) after two disappointing seasons since signing in 2018. He is in a dream spot hitting in the cleanup spot behind Tatis and Machado and will get plenty of opportunities to cash in this season. It started yesterday as he went 3 for 4 with a dinger and three runs batted in an 8-7 Padres win. The matchup is fairly neutral here but...

While it's still a week away, it is impossible to ignore the excitement that is building for The Masters, the second in four months. Before we get too excited, however, we have to break down the Valera Texas Open which will give any golfer not already in the Masters a chance to punch his ticket to Augusta. The field of 144 players was looking pretty grim until we got a late entry from Dustin Johnson after not advancing past the group stage last week at the Match Play. With his entry, DJ is now the only player ranked inside the Top 10 teeing it up this week, and is joined by just 12 others who rank among the Top 50 in the OWGR. **Update - Dustin Johnson has withdrawn** They will take on the TPC San Antonio Oaks Course which has been the host course for this event since the 2010 season. It is a par 72 setup that is listed at over 7,400 yards on the scorecard. A large amount of that distance comes from three of the four Par 3's reaching over 200 yards and three of the four Par 5's reaching over 591 yards(two over 600 yards). The biggest defense for the course outside of the native areas(see Kevin Na) are the Texas winds. They were a non-factor in 2019 and 2019 when Corey Conners and Andrew Landry won with winning scores of -20 and -17 respectively but before that, we have normally seen a winning score in the -8 to -12 range due to the wind. That is what I am expecting looking at the early forecast as...

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Monday 3/29/21

Be sure to read our free NBA and NFL Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered. Tonight, at a glance Hello, DFSR faithful (and new readers)! This is going to be a slightly different article than usual, because this is a very different slate than we've become accustomed to. Saturday featured perhaps the craziest night of injuries in DFS history, with an unprecedented number of late injuries to players of all calibers. As such, many of these players are questionable tonight, and any attempt to write a regular picks article is likely to be worthless by the time lineups finally lock. Instead, we're going to take a look at the key information you need to keep an eye out for tonight, and how you should be prepared to proceed if certain news comes out. Washington vs. Indiana There are a handful of under-priced Pacers that you can play if incredible value doesn't open up elsewhere. We've got a close eye on Caris LeVert and Malcolm Brogdon in particular. The Wizards pair a bottom-five defense with the league's fastest PACE, and It will be tough to go wrong running Pacers out there almost no matter what happens elsewhere. On the Washington side, you'll need to keep an eye on Bradley Beal's status. He left Saturday's game early, and Garrison Mathews saw 31 minutes as a result. I'm not super bullish on Mathews necessarily, but Russell Westbrook would be in line for huge usage if Beal were to miss this one. New Orleans vs. Boston The main news to keep an eye on here concerns the point guards of both teams. Both Kemba Walker and Lonzo Ball are currently listed as questionable, but they are in very different situations. It's believed that Walker missed Saturday's game due to rest, and it's likely he'll play here. It's a nice match-up with the Pelicans, but no Celtics are really jumping off the page here. There's also the possibility of Evan Fournier making his debut, which would further complicate things. Ball, on the other hand, pulled himself from Thursday's practice and wound up missing his last game, and I'd guess he's closer to a 30% chance to play here. If he winds up sitting, that gives Nickeil Alexander-Walker a bunch of extra...
