DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday, 4/2
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 4/2/23 We're down to the final week of the NBA season. There aren't many more chaotic times in the sports world because we have so many things to worry about. With that said, I've been zoned into the NBA since Day 1 because basketball is my passion. We have to admit that this time of the year can be frustrating, though, because the injury reports are ridiculous. We'll bank on some of those absences here, but let's get started with the best point guard in the NBA. Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Luka Doncic FD - $12200 DK - $11800 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 64.45 DK - 67.93 This sounds crazy to say, but Dallas is on the verge of missing the postseason. That means they will lean on their superstar which was on full display when Luka collected 42 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists on Saturday. That might look like an outlier line, but Doncic leads the NBA with 61 DraftKings points per game. Not many players even have that sort of ceiling, and it gets even higher since the Mavs are fighting for their playoff lives. A matchup with Atlanta won't deter him from adding to those absurd averages, with the Hawks ranked 23rd in defensive efficiency and 25th in points allowed. Tre Jones FD - $5800 DK - $5700 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 30.1 DK - 29.81 The Spurs are trying their best to tank down the bottom of the standings, but they've kept Jones as their starting point guard. It's a bit of a surprise, but it makes him tough to avoid since Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell are both missing this game. Even with those guys in the lineup, Tyus has at least 24 fantasy points in nine straight games. He's also got a 31-point average in that span, which is brilliant for a sub-$6K player. The fact that Vassell and Johnson are out should guarantee Jones more usage, minutes, and shot attempts, which looks even better since he faces a Sacramento team that sits 28th in total defense. In the last game he finished against the Kings, Tre tallied 16 points, seven rebounds,...

Guards Gabe Vincent FD - $4600 DK - $3900 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 16.49 DK - 17.85 Tyler Herro FD - $7100 DK - $6400 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 34.08 DK - 38.47 The silly NBA schedule down the stretch has left us with just two games on Saturday making lineup construction a bit challenging early in the day. Luka and Kyrie are going to be tough to fit in at their prices so I will start with the Miami guards who actually get the better matchup in this game as the Mavs are 22nd in defensive efficiency. Herro is my main target here as he plays heavy minutes, gets the majority of the usage and has been consistent lately averaging 34 fantasy points over his last 11 games. For a little more salary relief, we can also consider Gabe Vincent who is coming off one of his best games of the season with 34 fantasy points. He was definitely running hot shooting 8 of 11 but on this slat I don't think we can ignore the value for a player who is likely going to see double-digit attempts again. Small Forward Brandon Ingram FD - $9700 DK - $9500 Opponent - LAC Proj Pts FD - 43.51 DK - 47.29 Trey Murphy III FD - $6400 DK - $6000 Opponent - LAC Proj Pts FD - 28.72 DK - 30.52 We can't be overly picky with our matchups tonight with just two games and while the Clippers are a top-half team in terms of overall defense, they have not been nearly as good on the road. Enter Brandon Ingram who has been on a tear over the last two weeks(9 games) averaging 28.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 8 assists for just over 50 fantasy points a game. That balance and fantasy value across multiple categories gives him a high floor and us some much-needed safety on this slate. Consistency is something his teammate, Trey Murphy, has shown recently as well shooting 50% from the field in March while averaging over 31 fantasy points a game. He is very shooting dependant which makes it risky but on this slate, we are going to have to take some chances. Power Forward/Center Kawhi Leonard FD - $10000 DK - $10000 Opponent - NO Proj Pts FD -...

Pitchers Spencer Strider FD 10800 DK 9700 Opponent - WSH (Josiah Gray) Park - WSH FD - 40.57 DK - 22.94 With Max Fried getting hurt on Opening Day, the Braves are going to be relying heavily on Spencer Strider to carry the rotation for the time being. Strider finished second behind his teammate Michael Harris in the 2022 Rookie of the Year voting after posting an elite 2.67 ERA and even better 2.30 xFIP which led all starting pitchers(min 100 IP). While he only has two pitches(Fastball, Slider) in his arsenal, they are elite and helped him to a league-leading 38% K rate and 15.5% swinging strike rate. He gets one of, if not the best matchups on the board Saturday against a Nationals team that is projected to be a bottom-three offence this season. Fire up Strider in all formats. Justin Steele FD 8600 DK 6000 Opponent - MIL (Brandon Woodruff) Park - MIL FD - 32.74 DK - 16.95 Following a rookie season in 2021 where he split time between the bullpen and rotation, Justin Steele broke into the rotation full-time and was one of the most underrated pitchers in baseball. Over 24 starts, he held opponents to two or fewer earned runs 18 times which led to an impressive 3.18 ERA/3.48 xFIP. While he posted just a slightly above-average K rate(24.6%), he had the 9th-best hard hit rate against(25.7%) and the 2nd-best barrel rate allowed(3.9%). He starts the year off in a good spot against a Brewers lineup that struck out 12 times on Opening Day and was a bottom-10 team against southpaws in 2022. Steele is my favourite value play at starting pitcher today. Also Consider: Patrick Sandoval(LAA) who is will be looking to build off his best season as a pro(2.91 ERA/3.67 xFIP) and looked good in his final spring training appearance(3 IP, 2 hits, 1 ER, 6 K) and was solid in the World Baseball Classic, especially in the semifinals against Japan(4.1 IP, 4 hits, 0 ER, 6 K) Catcher/First Base Matt Olson FD 3700 DK 4700 Opponent - WSH (Josiah Gray) Park - WSH FD - 12.91 DK - 9.65 Olson had a monster spring training and it carried right over to Opening Day as he went 2 for 5 with a double and a run scored in a 7-2 route of the Nats. His first year in Atlanta saw the average drop...

Plus our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Guards CJ McCollum FD - $8300 DK - $7500 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 36.88 DK - 40.12 We have a tricky slate on Thursday with just two games and not really any injury news to come in terms of opening up potential value. This has me targeting a more balanced lineup tonight and it starts with McCollum who is in a great spot against a Nuggets team that gives up the fourth-most fantasy points to guards. He is coming off a dud against the Warriors but I am not concerned as he has been consistent in March. The volume is there as he has taken 15 or more shots in nine of his last 11 games while averaging 20.1 points and has added another 4.6 rebounds and 6.4 assists for just over 39 fantasy points per game. The price is a little better on DraftKings but CJ is in play for me in all formats. Marcus Smart FD - $6000 DK - $5300 Opponent - MIL Proj Pts FD - 27.18 DK - 29.54 In the first game, I think a lot of people will be chasing Jrue's monster game from last night, but with Middleton back in the lineup, I will go in another direction. Enter Marcus Smart who isn't going to win you a GPP as a low-volume guard but has provided a solid floor from a PTS/$ standpoint lately. At his current DraftKings price we are looking for about 25 DK points as a floor and he has hit that in four of his last games while averaging 28.6 during that stretch. On this small slate, I will have exposure to Smart in cash games on both sites. Bruce Brown FD - $5400 DK - $4500 Opponent - NO Proj Pts FD - 23.74 DK - 25.42 Value is going to be tough to come by on this slate so we are going to have to expand our player pools and include some bench players. Let's start with Bruce Brown who has been getting decent playing time lately getting 28 or more minutes in three straight and four of his last five games and has been fairly consistent hitting at least 5x on DraftKings in nine of those 14 games while averaging 23 DK points per game. This kind of output is not going to...

Guards Kyrie Irving FD - $9400 DK - $9800 Opponent - IND Proj Pts FD - 48.67 DK - 52.02 While things maybe haven't gone exactly as planned since joining the Mavericks(who seen that coming?), there is still a lot to like here as Kyrie checks a lot of boxes. First of all, Luka is facing a one-game suspension for his 16th technical foul which should hand a large portion of the ball handling and usage to Kyrie who has seen 23 and 24 shots in the last two games he has played without Luka. The Mavericks are also in desperate need of a win now sitting a game back of the play-in and luckily get a nice matchup against the Pacers' 26th-ranked defence. At a price that is back under $10K on both sites, Kyrie is in play in all formats Monday. Tyrese Maxey FD - $7700 DK - $7700 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 37.14 DK - 40.18 We have a matchup between top three teams in each conference with the 76ers currently sitting as five-point dogs which does tell us a little bit about the status of James Harden who has missed each of the last three games. No matter the status, I am on board with Maxey who has been playing terrific in the short-term(with & without Harden) averaging 26.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 5.0 assists for just over 43 fantasy points per game. We are projecting a close, high-scoring game and while the Nuggets rank 14th overall in defensive efficiency they have struggled against guards giving up the fourth most fantasy points to the position. Maxey is in play in all formats and would get a nice boost in PTS/$ if Harden sits again. Stay tuned. Shaedon Sharpe FD - $7200 DK - $6200 Opponent - NO Proj Pts FD - 30.61 DK - 33.04 Portland's 2023 first-round pick is finally getting thrust into a bigger role and has looked terrific in the process. He has played monster minutes(35+ in each), led the team in shots, and dropped 24 or more real points and 34 or more fantasy points in all three games. The opportunity should remain as Lillard could be shut down for the season and Simons is once again questionable. The price is getting out of reach on FanDuel, especially in a...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday, 3/26
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 3/26/23 It's hard to believe, but we only have two weeks remaining in the regular season. However, this is one of the most challenging times to play DFS because the injury reports are laughably long. It would be one thing if we're dealing with just injuries, but throwing in resting players has DFS looking like a tsunami of chaos. The good news is that we have some information headed into this Sunday slate and will bank on some of that. With that in mind, let's start with one of the most improved players in the NBA. Head on for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Darius Garland FD - $8100 DK - $7500 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 38.12 DK - 39.59 Garland has taken his game to another level this season. The young guard is averaging 40 DraftKings points per game, which is a genuinely absurd average for a $7,500 player. It's not like his recent form has killed his salary, with DG posting a 38-point average across his last 14 outings. We expect that to be his floor in this matchup, with the Rockets ranked 28th in defensive efficiency and 29th in points allowed. They're also surrendering the most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season, with Garland dropping 53 DK points in their one matchup. There might not be a better play below $8,000. Dennis Smith Jr. FD - $6500 DK - $6000 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 32.52 DK - 31.95 This Charlotte roster is starting to throw in the towel. They've lost LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier, and Kelly Oubre to injuries recently, and that should force Smith into the starting lineup. More importantly, he's a stat-stuffing point guard who will be the primary ball-handler for the remainder of the season. This expanded role has led to DSJ scoring at least 28 DraftKings points in 11 of his 14 starts this year while averaging over 32 fantasy points per game in those outings. He's doing that damage despite some poor shooting, but a revenge game against a freefalling Dallas defense should have him on target. The Mavs rank 24th in defensive efficiency and are 29th since acquiring Kyrie Irving. Marcus Smart (FD $6000 DK...
