DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Thursday, 9/7/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Thursday, 9/8/22 I'm filling in for this Thursday card, which will be a small one. It's opening day of the NFL, and it's leaving us with just seven games in total and four making up the main card beginning at 645ET. We'll provide you with picks throughout both slates because there are simply not many players available. With that in mind, let's kick things off with the pitchers! Now's your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Corbin Burnes FD - P 9800 DK - 9700 Opponent - SF (Jakob Junis) Park - MIL FD - 41.6 DK - 23.67 It's bizarre to see Burnes below $10K on both sites. The 2021 NL Cy Young has been one of the best pitchers in baseball for some time now, totaling a 2.63 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and 32 percent K rate since 2020. That's three years of mowing down bats, with Corbin collecting a 3.02 ERA and 1.01 WHIP this season. He's actually struggled a bit recently, but it's lowered his price enough that we can't fade this guy. We say that because San Fran sends out one of the least talented lineups in baseball, with Burnes entering this matchup as a -200 favorite, with the Giants projected for just 3.5 runs. Kyle Gibson FD - P 9100 DK - SP 5700 Opponent - MIA (Sandy Alcantara) Park - PHI FD - 32.96 DK - 16.24 The price discrepancies on this guy are incredible. I can't remember seeing such a drastic price difference, but it makes Gibson one of the best options over on DraftKings. It's easy to see why they're so different, though, because Gibson has mixed gems and duds all season. He surrendered seven runs in his most recent outing but generated a 2.41 ERA and 1.10 WHIP across his previous six starts before that. The simple fact is that Gibson does well in good matchups and struggles with menacing lineups. Miami is far from a problematic matchup, with the Marlins ranked 27th in runs scored, OBP and xwOBA. That was on full display when Kyle allowed just five baserunners across six innings against them two weeks ago. Catcher/First Base Paul Goldschmidt FD - 1B 4300 DK - 1B 6300 Opponent - WSH (Josiah Gray) Park - STL FD - 14.49 DK - 10.99 We only have seven games on this schedule, so we have to get the NL MVP into our build. This has been the second-best hitter in baseball...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 9/7/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 9/7/22 This is the last day when baseball won't have to compete with football. That's an uphill battle for MLB, but us baseball grinders will keep going at it. This is actually one of the best times to play because we finally understand where motivations lie with these teams. Many clubs are battling for playoff positions while others are playing out the final month, just waiting for their Cancun trips. We have two pitchers facing two of those teams, so let's start there! Now's your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Jacob deGrom FD - P 12000 DK - SP 11000 Opponent - PIT (Bryse Wilson) Park - PIT FD - 39.39 DK - 23.12 Anyone who doesn't think deGrom is the best pitcher in baseball has clearly never watched this dude pitch. The former Cy Young winner finished last year with a 1.08 ERA and 0.55 WHIP across 92 innings, backing It up this year with a 1.98 ERA and 0.55 WHIP. The K rate is equally as impressive, posting a 13.6 K/9 rate this year and a 14.3 K/9 rate last year. That's made him the most consistent player in the sport, scoring at least 30 FanDuel points in 30 of his last 31 starts over the last three years. Fading him against Pittsburgh is a bad idea, with the Pirates ranked bottom-three in runs scored, OBP, OPS, wOBA, and K rate. That will likely have him entering this matchup as a -300 favorite, if not higher! Spencer Strider FD - P 10200 DK - RP 8900 Opponent - OAK (Ken Waldichuk) Park - OAK FD - 48.39 DK - 26.99 It's wild that we have these two pitchers in such brilliant spots. Just like the Pirates, the A's rank bottom-three in runs scored, OBP, OPS, wOBA, and xwOBA. That would make any pitcher intriguing against this club, but Strider has been one of the best pitchers in baseball. The NL Rookie of the Year favorite has a 2.67 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and 13.7 K/9 rate. That strikeout rate is the best mark among any starter in baseball, with Spencer sporting a 0.90 ERA, 0.70 WHIP, and 14.4 K/9 rate across his last three starts. The oddsmakers believe he's an outstanding play, too, making Atlanta a -280 favorite, with Oakland projected for just three runs. Patrick Sandoval (FD $9700 DK $8600) faces the lowest-scoring team in baseball, picking up a season-high 64 FanDuel points against them two...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Monday 9/5/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Monday 9/5/22 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Blake Snell FD 10300 DK 10200 Opponent - ARI (Ryne Nelson) Park - ARI FD - 39.54 DK - 21.73 After a small blip on the radar against the Guardians, Snell got back on track shutting out the Giants over six innings while striking out eight batters. It was a continuation of a dominant second half where he has tallied a 2.30 ERA/2.69 xFIP and a 33% K rate while averaging 22.6 DK/39.5 FD points per game. He now gets a matchup against a D-Backs team that has been better in the second half but is bottom 10 against left-handed pitching. All things considered, Snell is my top pitcher in all formats on Monday. Andrew Heaney FD 9400 DK 9600 Opponent - SF (Logan Webb) Park - SF FD - 31.94 DK - 17.1 We can't talk about pitchers who have looked terrific and helped their teams' playoff pushes in the second half without mentioning Andrew Heaney. He dealt with injuries and only made three starts before the break but has been borderline dominant post-break tallying a 2.87 ERA/2.96 xFIP across seven starts while striking out a ridiculous 35% of batters. The Giants have been a Top 10 team against lefties but have really struggled overall in the second half so I am not worried at all and will have exposure to Heaney in all formats. Also Consider: Kevin Gausman(TOR) and Taijuan Walker(NYM) on the early slate Catcher/First Base Harold Ramírez FD 3100 DK 3600 Opponent - BOS (Michael Wacha) Park - BOS FD - 7.75 DK - 6.01 The Rays are right in the thick of the playoff race in the American League and for fantasy purposes provide a ton of PTS/$ value with no real superstar on their team. One of the players providing said value has been Harold Ramirez who has shined brightest since the start of July with a .359 average and while he lacks power upside has been very productive for fantasy with a .377 wOBA. The matchup may not top the charts as Wacha has been above-average this season, the Rays have got to him both times and his underlying numbers do point to some luck and upcoming regression. All things considered, Ramirez is a top PTS/$ play on this early slate, especially on DraftKings at just $3100. José Abreu FD 3600 DK 4400 Opponent - SEA (Marco Gonzales) Park - SEA FD -...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday 9/4/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 9/4/22 Today marks the one month until the final day of the regular season! It's crazy that we're in September already, and this will be the final Sunday MLB article without football interfering. That means that the prize pools are about to plummet from here on out, but we're still going to provide quality content. It's actually a great time to play DFS because there are so many amateur football players who try their hand in MLB. Doing that at the end of the season is silly, but humans are known to be fickle creatures. With that in mind, let's kick off this Sunday card with some arms! Now's your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Max Fried FD - P 10300 DK - SP 10500 Opponent - MIA (Pablo López) Park - ATL FD - 47.16 DK - 26.05 The Braves have been one of the best teams in the NL since the opening month, and this ace is a major reason why. The left-hander has a 2.56 ERA and 1.04 WHIP this season, allowing three runs or fewer in 22 of his 25 starts. That's led to Max scoring at least 29 FanDuel points in 19 of those, one of the highest floors of any player in baseball. That 30-point floor should be easy to reach against the Marlins, with Miami ranked bottom-four in runs scored, OBP, OPS, and xwOBA. In his matchup with Miami earlier this season, Fried scored 40 FanDuel points! The oddsmakers see that happening again, with Max entering this matchup as a -280 favorite. George Kirby FD - P 9200 DK - SP 9900 Opponent - CLE (Cal Quantrill) Park - CLE FD - 36.18 DK - 19.43 It's strange that Kirby remains below $10,000 on both sites. This rookie has been one of the best pitchers this month, maintaining a 2.11 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and 10.6 K/9 rate across his last seven starts. His elite control is what's made him so scary, picking up 107 strikeouts to just 14 walks. Cleveland can be a tough matchup at times, but this offense looks lost right now. Not only do they rank 26th in xwOBA for the season, but they also have just one run in their last four fixtures. That's a nightmarish stretch, making Kirby one of the best bets for a quality start on this slate. Matt Manning (FD $8500 DK $7300) had a 2.37 ERA and 1.11 WHIP before a rare...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Saturday 9/3/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Saturday 9/3/22 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Max Scherzer FD 11200 DK 10900 Opponent - WSH (Patrick Corbin) Park - WSH FD - 52.37 DK - 29.66 After a couple bumps in the road, Mad Max was back to his dominant self holding the Rockies to one run while striking out 11 but got the deGrom treatment and took the loss. He will look to help the Mets hold on to the NL East tonight in an elite matchup against his old team. The have been bad all season but got considerably worse in the second half, especially in the K department, after trading Juan Soto. The price is high but as we discuss daily, it is not hard to build around considering the plethora of value bats in good spots. Fire up Scherzer in all formats. Jake Odorizzi FD 8100 DK 6100 Opponent - MIA (Edward Cabrera) Park - MIA FD - 29.25 DK - 14.38 Odorizzi isn’t going to win you many GPP’s on his own due to a lack of K upside but checks all the boxes for cash games. It starts with being  a huge favourite giving him elite win equity and rolls into his consistency holding opponents to two or fewer earned runs in five of his last sox starts. To top it off, he also gets an elite matchup against a Marlins team that ranks dead last in wOBA(.268) and wRC+(72) in the second half while striking out over 24% of the time. Odorizzi is my top SP2 from a PTS/$ perspective on this slate. Catcher/First Base Pete Alonso FD 3700 DK 5500 Opponent - WSH (Patrick Corbin) Park - WSH FD - 13.57 DK - 10.14 The broken pricing algorithm does make it much easier to fit Goldy but I am going to go a little more balanced and it starts with Alonso. He checks all the boxes starting with matchup as he faces Patrick Corbin who is 1-7 with a 8.54 ERA over his last nine starts while also giving up the third-most home runs(24) on the season. For Alonso, he comes in hot with hits in seven of his last nine games, has been better in the second half, and hits lefties very well. While Goldy tops the projections, the Polar Bear is my favourite PTS/$ pay up at first base tonight. Ty France FD 3700 DK 4300 Opponent - CLE (Xzavion Curry) Park - CLE FD -...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday 8/31/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 8/31/22 It's the final day of August, and it means we're down to the stretch run. Only one month of baseball remains, and each game gets more important than the last. Some of the division races are heating up, and it'll be fun to watch these clubs compete for the final 35 days. With that in mind, let's get started with a former Cy Young winner! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Gerrit Cole FD - P 11100 DK - SP 10800 Opponent - LAA (Patrick Sandoval) Park - LAA FD - 42.14 DK - 23.87 Many people have talked about the demise of Cole, but that's a silly notion. This is still one of the best pitchers in baseball, providing a 3.31 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, and 11.7 K/9 rate. His recent form is even more absurd, accruing a 2.05 ERA and 0.87 WHIP across his last four starts. That form should be easy to continue against this awful Angels offense, with Los Angeles sitting 26th in OBP and dead-last in K rate. He showed how wretched they were last season when Cole compiled a 1.42 ERA, 0.55 WHIP, and 17.1 K/9 rate in their two matchups! That has him entering this matchup as a -210 favorite, with LA projected for just three runs. Freddy Peralta FD - P 8600 DK - SP 8200 Opponent - PIT (Undecided) Park - MIL FD - 34.04 DK - 18.46 It's strange to see Peralta this cheap. This dude has been an ace since his call-up, collecting a 3.08 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and 27 percent K rate since the start of last season. That's usually what you see from many of the $10K players, making the pricing tough to understand. What makes it even more mind-boggling is his recent form, registering a 2.55 ERA and 0.89 WHIP across his last five starts. The matchup with Pittsburgh is the best part of this, though, with the Pirates ranked bottom-three in runs scored, OBP, OPS, wOBA, and K rate. Not to mention, he enters this matchup as a -250 favorite, scoring at least 43 FanDuel points in three of their last four matchups. Triston McKenzie (FD $10300 DK $10200) has a WHIP sitting around 1.00 and should have no problem holding down a 24th-ranked Orioles offense. Catcher/First Base Paul Goldschmidt FD - 1B 4700 DK - 1B 6300 Opponent - CIN (Mike Minor) Park - CIN FD - 16.49 DK - 12.5...
