Pitchers Kyle Wright FD - P 10100 DK - SP 8800 Opponent - WSH (Cory Abbott) Park - ATL FD - 44.56 DK - 24.16 The Braves are all but locked into a wildcard spot but now have their sites set on the Mets for the AL East lead. Spencer Strider is going to be the NL Rookie of the Year but it's Kris Wright leading the entire league in wins(18) and backs it up with an impressive 3.18 ERA/3.36 xFIP. Despite having just average K stuff, Wright has been terrific for fantasy averaging 18.9 DK/35 FD points per game in the second half and gets a terrific matchup against a below-average Nationals team. Wright is easily my top pitcher in all formats tonight. Wade Miley FD - P 8000 DK - SP 6600 Opponent - MIA (Edward Cabrera) Park - MIA FD - 29.66 DK - 14.03 I am never going to get excited about playing 35-year-old Wade Miley but he checks almost all the boxes tonight, at least for cash games. At $6,600 on DraftKings, we are really only looking for about 12-14 points for cash games and he has accomplished this in both of his starts since returning to the mound in September thanks to 11 K's across those starts. More importantly, he gets a great matchup against a Marlins team that ranks dead last in wOBA(.271) and wRC+(75) in the second half while striking out over 24% of the time. The cheap price tag also allows us to pay up for Wright and multiple big bats which makes him my top SP2 on DraftKings and a value GPP arm on FanDuel. Catcher/First Base Adley Rutschman FD - C 3100 DK - C 5100 Opponent - DET (Tyler Alexander) Park - BAL FD - 11.37 DK - 8.65 Julio Rodriguez likely has the AL Rookie of the Year locked up but Rutschman is making it close and also helping the O's make the AL Wildcard interesting, as well. He has been playing his best baseball down the stretch with hits in four of his last five games including three multi-hit efforts with a .313/.400/.583 slash line over his last 14 games. He and the O's also get arguably the best matchup outside of Coors against Tyler Alexander who has posted a 6.34 ERA/5.04 xFIP in nine second-half starts. Fire upRutschman in all formats. David Villar FD - 3B...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday 9/18/22

Posted by on Sep 18, 2022 in Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks, DraftKings MLB Picks, FanDuel MLB Picks, featured |

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 9/18/22 Most eyes will be fixated on the NFL today, but we still have every MLB team in action. We're down to the final 2.5 weeks of the regular season, and it's crunch time for many of these clubs. That's the best time to play DFS because the elite teams throttle the ones already out of contention. That's expected to happen a few times here, two of which are in our pitching section. With that in mind, let's start with the best pitcher in the game. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Jacob deGrom FD - P 11900 DK - SP 11900 Opponent - PIT (Johan Oviedo) Park - NYM FD - 52.38 DK - 30.21 deGrom has had a hard time staying healthy, but this is the best pitcher in the world when he's on the bump. The right-hander had a 1.08 ERA and 0.55 WHIP in an unbelievable 2021 season but has backed it with a 2.01 ERA and 0.59 WHIP this year. He's done that damage while striking out 219 batters across 141 innings, scoring at least 42 FanDuel points in every start since his season debut. We were willing to use him against the Dodgers two weeks ago, so we're going to ride him against the Pirates. Pittsburgh ranks bottom-three in runs scored, OBP, OPS, xwOBA, and K rate. Not to mention, deGrom is a massive -450 favorite in this matchup, with the Buccos projected for just two runs. Framber Valdez FD - P 11400 DK - RP 10900 Opponent - OAK (Ken Waldichuk) Park - HOU FD - 40.65 DK - 20.83 It would be hard to imagine fading either of these top guys. It will be costly to use both of them, but that seems like the strategy on this slate. Valdez enters this matchup picking up a quality start in 22 straight outings. That says a lot, but his 2.38 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and 8.9 K/9 rate in that span are equally as absurd. He also faces the worst offense in baseball here, with the A's ranked 29th or 30th in runs scored, OBP, OPS, wOBA, and xwOBA. In his two starts against Oakland this year, Valdez has allowed just three runs across 17 innings. The oddsmakers expect another gem, with Valdez and the Stros sporting a -300 moneyline. Joe Ryan (FD $9600 DK $8200) threw seven no-hit innings in his most recent outing and should roll through a Guardians...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Saturday 9/17/22

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Saturday 9/17/22 Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Zac Gallen FD - P 10000 DK - SP 9900 Opponent - SD (Joe Musgrove) Park - ARI FD - 33.75 DK - 18.09 The streak of starts allowing zero earned runs ended at six last time out in Colorado but Gallen was still dominant striking out 11 adding to his very impressive season for a rebuilding D-Backs team. The matchup tonight may not look that great against the Padres but considering they have scored a league-low 38 runs over the last 14 days with the second-worst wOBA(.275) and wRC+(78) I am fully on board with Gallen in all formats. George Kirby FD 9300 DK 8000 Opponent - LAA (Shohei Ohtani) Park - LAA FD - 35.61 DK - 19.04 It is the year of the teammates when looking the rookie of the year awards in both leagues. In the NL, it's Strider and Harris for the Braves up top and in the AL it's Julio Rodriguez and not far behind is George Kirby. He has been good all year but has really come on in the second half holding opponents to two or fewer earned runs in eight of nine starts and one or fewer in four straight. He will face off against another top pitcher in Shohei Ohtani but gets is cheaper and gets the better matchup against the Angels' offense that has been below average over the last month when looking at wOBA(.302) and wRC+(95) and has struck out over 25% of the time. At these prices, Kirby is easily our top PTS/$ play on the mound tonight. Catcher/First Base Freddie Freeman FD - 1B 4300 DK - 1B 5600 Opponent - SF (Undecided) Park - SF FD - 12.63 DK - 9.52 The Dodgers were the first team to clinch their division so there is always the risk of them limiting their starters down the stretch but if Freeman is starting, he is must-play right now. He has been tremendous in the second half(.344/.413/.523 slash line) and even better in the short term hitting .432 over his last 10 games while averaging 13.6 DK/18.1 FD points per game. He and the Dodgers get another smash spot against the Giants who will be throwing a bullpen game and seeing as Freeman was once a regular in the $6K range on DraftKings, I will be buying low in all formats as my top play at first. Yuli Gurriel...

Posted by on Sep 16, 2022 in featured, Injuries |

Injury analysis for Week 2 of NFL DFS on FanDuel and DraftKings Week 2 is here and we have already gone over our top cash game picks as well as our top GPP targets and now it's time to analyze some of the biggest injuries to monitor heading into Sunday. Want access to the projections that power these picks? For a limited time we're offering a free one-week trial to all the sports that we cover - that's optimal lineups for NFL and MLB - for the same low price. Get started now! START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Quarterbacks Dak Prescott FD 7700 DK 6700 Opponent CIN Proj Points FD - 0 DK - 0 Cooper Rush FD 6100 DK 5000 Opponent CIN Proj Points FD - 11.81 DK - 12.44 Prescott underwent surgery on his thumb and while he was not placed on the IR, he will miss multiple games paving the way for Cooper Rush to take over under center. It is a huge downgrade not only at the position but also affects the entire offense as a whole and the reason I have listed it here. The biggest downgrade goes to CeeDee Lamb who not only gets another tough matchup against the Bengals but has also seen his price increase from week one. This Cowboys offense is a full fade for me until Dak comes back. Zach Wilson FD 6400 DK 5000 Opponent CLE Proj Points FD - 0 DK - 0 Joe Flacco FD 6400 DK 5100 Opponent CLE Proj Points FD - 11.53 DK - 12.14 Another offense I will be fading until their quarterback returns is the New York Jets with backup Joe Flacco under center. Wilson could return as soon as Week 4. Running Backs Alvin Kamara FD 7200 DK 7400 Opponent TB Proj Points FD - 11.7 DK - 13.05 Kamara showed up on the injury report this week after sustaining a rib injury in the Saints win last week. He was limited in practice on Wednesday and while he attended practice on Thursday, he did not partake in any drills. He is listed as questionable for their Week 2 matchup against the Bucs and the downside for the Saints here is that backup running back Mark Ingram is also listed as questionable with an ankle injury. Best to avoid the Saints backfield this week. D'Andre Swift FD 8200 DK 7000 Opponent WAS Proj Points FD - 15.85 DK - 17.59 Swift is dealing with an ankle injury and was a non-participant in practice on both Wednesday and Thursday. While listed as questionable for the Lions week 2 matchup against the Commanders, Swift did return to practice on Friday and is...

Daily Fantasy NFL GPP Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Week 2

Posted by on Sep 16, 2022 in featured, Football Strategy |

Daily Fantasy NFL GPP Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Week 2 Week one is in the books and it's now time to gear up for another profitable week. Doug once again got things started with his Cash Game article and now I will be looking at some of my favorite stacks to help you take down GPP contests. I am going to do things a little different and look at a wide variety of stacks including the chalky/most popular choices, some off-the-board stacks, as well as some leverage/low-owned stacks to help us separate our lineups from the herd. Let's get started. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL and MLB optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! High Floor/High Upside Chalk - Las Vegas Raiders Derek Carr FD 7300 DK 6200 Opponent ARI Proj Points FD - 17.58 DK - 18.4 Davante Adams FD 8800 DK 8600 Opponent ARI Proj Points FD - 21.48 DK - 26.16 There is a good chance this stack is the most popular one this week and it makes a ton of sense as it provides us both a very high floor and ceiling. Adams came over to the Raiders in the offseason to join his College teammate Derek Carr and while we were unsure how it would work out going into the season, we learned a ton in week one. Carr targeted Adams 17 times for an insane 46% target share(highest in the league) and while Adams only caught 10 of them, he turned it into 141 yards, got into the endzone once, and tallied 33 DK/25.1 FD points. The price justifiably went up on both of them as they return to Las Vegas for their home opener in another terrific matchup. They face the Cardinals who got destroyed by the Chiefs in week one giving up 360 passing yards and five passing touchdowns to Patrick Mahomes. While it was Travis Kelce(8-121-1) doing most of the damage, the Cards did not have a corner that rated out better than 75th in week one when looking at coverage rankings(via PFF). This game has the highest total(51.5) on the main slate by a wide margin with the Raiders favoured by 5.5 points. This is easily my favorite stack of the week and one I will build around in all formats. Other options to stack in this game: Darren Waller(TE) makes a ton of sense after seeing what Travis Kelce did to this defense a week ago. Waller was good, not great in week one catching 4 of 6 targets for 79 yards. The...

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Thursday 9/15/22

Posted by on Sep 15, 2022 in Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks, DraftKings MLB Picks, FanDuel MLB Picks, featured |

DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Thursday, 9/15/22 This baseball season feels like it's been going on for a decade, but the end is coming out of nowhere. We only have a few weeks remaining in the regular season, and it'll be fun to watch these clubs battle for postseason positioning. Unfortunately, we have a small card for this Thursday slate, with only eight games spread throughout the day. That means we have a small player pool to pick from, but there are still plenty of great options on the board. With that in mind, let's kick things off with some arms! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Lance McCullers Jr. FD - P 9900 DK - SP 9700 Opponent - OAK (James Kaprielian) Park - HOU FD - 43.91 DK - 23.89 It was a bit of a slow start for McCullers after his recovery from injury, but he's starting to hit his stride. The young right-hander has his ERA down to 2.20, allowing three runs or fewer in all five of his starts. The K rate has been slow to come around, but he has 13 Ks across 12.2 innings in his last two starts. That's the stud we've become accustomed to, with McCullers striking out 750 batters across 671 innings coming into the year. The strikeouts should be on the rise against an offense like this. Oakland ranks 29th or 30th in runs scored, OBP, OPS, and xwOBA. Not to mention, McCullers enters this matchup as a -300 favorite. Lance Lynn FD - P 10100 DK - SP 7500 Opponent - CLE (Hunter Gaddis) Park - CLE FD - 33.27 DK - 17.95 What is DraftKings thinking here? Lynn has returned to the ace we saw in past years, providing a 1.19 ERA, 0.72 WHIP, and 10.8 K/9 rate across his last six starts. Those are Cy Young calibre numbers, making it laughable that Lynn remains just $7,500 over on DK. In any case, we'll ride that recent form because Lynn has a 2.91 ERA and 1.07 WHIP over the last two years. Facing Cleveland might sound tough on the surface, but this team owns a 29th-ranked xwOBA. They simply have nothing outside Jose Ramirez, which is evident by the fact that Lynn allowed just one run across 11.2 innings in their last two matchups while striking out 12 batters. Carlos Carrasco (FD $9000 DK $9400) has had a bounceback season for the Mets, entering this matchup as a -250 favorite...
