DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday 10/2/22
DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Sunday, 10/2/22 It saddens me to say this, but this is the final Sunday of the regular season. We have just three days remaining after today, and it's sad to see the everyday grind of baseball disappear. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I prefer regular season sports to playoffs when it comes to DFS. We get more games and more dynamics to discuss, and the familiarity of it always keeps me interested. I'm obviously excited for the postseason, but I'll miss the grind of every team playing every day. I might eat my words when we look at lineups, though, because teams will do wacky things on this final Sunday of the regular season. Pitchers Robbie Ray FD 10200 DK 10500 Opponent - OAK (James Kaprielian) Park - OAK FD - 46.35 DK - 25.34 I have to admit that Ray's 2021 Cy Young campaign was one of the flukiest awards I've seen in sports, but this guy can still be a stud. The left-hander has been particularly good as of late, tallying a 2.72 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and 10.5 K/9 rate since June 5. That's the ace we saw throughout most of last season, and we absolutely adore a matchup with the A's. Oakland ranks bottom-three in runs scored, OBP, OPS, wOBA, and xwOBA. That's on full display when you see that Ray has a 1.82 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and 12.8 K/9 rate in their four matchups this year. All of that has him and Seattle entering this sensational matchup as a -300 favorite! Shane Bieber FD 10600 DK 10700 Opponent - KC (Max Castillo) Park - KC FD - 43.34 DK - 23.78 The pitching selections on this slate aren't anything special, but these two aces are. Bieber is having a bounce-back season for the Guardians, generating a 2.91 ERA and 1.03 WHIP on the year. His recent form is just as ridiculous, registering a 2.66 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and 9.2 K.9 rate since May 14. That sort of form makes him enticing against anyone, but Kansas City is one of the best matchups in the sport. They currently rank 24th in runs scored, 21st in OPS, and 26th in xwOBA. He's faced KC twice this season, totaling a 0.71 ERA and 0.55 WHIP against them. Tyler Anderson (FD $8600 DK $8200) gets a revenge game against the Rockies as a -250 favorite. That's scary since Colorado has the...

Pitchers Early Ross Stripling FD - P 8000 DK - RP 7400 Opponent - BOS (Brayan Bello) Park - TOR FD - 27.36 DK - 15.06 With all the injuries to the Jays' starting rotation in 2022, Stripling could be considered the MVP of the team as he has been rock solid. He stepped into a regular spot in the rotation in early June and over 18 starts has held opponents to two or fewer earned runs in 14 of 18 starts for an impressive 2.80 ERA. He now faces a Red Sox team that has dropped seven of their last 10 games and was shut out in game one of the series on Friday night. Stripling offers us savings on this smaller slate allowing us to spend up for an expensive SP1 and/or some big bats. I will have exposure in all formats. Main Cristian Javier FD - P 10100 DK - SP 9400 Opponent - TB (Shane McClanahan) Park - HOU FD - 41.62 DK - 22.39 Like we have discussed a ton recently, there is elevated risk with pitch counts this time of year but we just can't ignore how dominant Javier has been in the second half and specifically down the stretch. He has held opponents to just one earned run over his last four starts and tallied an elite 1.96 ERA over 11 second-half starts with a 30.4% K rate. The matchup isn't at the top of my list against the Rays who are all but locked into a wildcard spot but have struggled a bit lately losers of four of their last five going into Friday night while striking out over 27% of the time. At these prices, especially under $10K on DraftKings, Javier is my top pitcher on this slate. Catcher/First Base Early Luis Arraez FD - 1B 3000 DK - 1B 3500 Opponent - DET (Drew Hutchison) Park - DET FD - 8.66 DK - 6.78 We talked about Arraez a ton this season as he led the league in hitting for a good portion of the year and he is also finishing strong. While he hasn't provided a ton of upside with a league-average 99 wRC+ in September, he has been very consistent with hits in 20 of 22 games while hitting .299 for the month. He and the Twins also get a plus matchup on Saturday against Drew Hutchinson who...
Daily Fantasy NFL GPP Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Week 4
Daily Fantasy NFL GPP Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Week 4 Welcome back football fans. Week four in the NFL is here and DFSR has you covered. Earlier in the week, we look at our top cash game picks and now it's time to look at some stacks that help us get to the top of or GPP contests. Let's get started. Game Stack - Atlanta Falcons/Cleveland Browns Marcus Mariota FD 7300 DK 5600 Opponent CLE Proj Points FD - 18.17 DK - 18.17 Drake London FD 6300 DK 6100 Opponent CLE Proj Points FD - 10.84 DK - 13.31 Amari Cooper FD 7500 DK 6300 Opponent ATL Proj Points FD - 14.25 DK - 17.57 I originally had the Raves/Bills game stack plugged into this spot but Doug talked about the high floor/high ceiling of stacking Allen and Diggs in the cash article so I am going to pivot off for a couple of reasons. First of all, stacking them together with a run-back of Mark Andrews is a very expensive route and leaves us value hunting at almost every other spot. Instead, I will go with a value quarterback in Marcus Mariota who has impressed early in the season returning at least 3x value in all three games. He faces a Browns defense that ranks 21st in DVOA against the pass and 21st in fantasy points to the quarterback position. Picking who to stack with Mariota is fairly easy, as well with 57% of the targets going to two players. I lean towards Drake London who has been getting 32% of those and has been impressed in his rookie season with 54 or more yards in each game and has scored a touchdown in back-to-back games. He faces a Cleveland defense that ranks 23rd in fantasy points to wideouts and in terms of upside, has given up the 6th most completed deep balls and 4th most completed yards on those deep balls(via NFL Savant). Choosing a run back is also fairly easy here as Jacoby Brissett has concentrated his targets as well and I will ride with wideout Amari Cooper who is getting 30% of those. He started out slow this season with just three catches in week one but has caught 16 of 21 targets in weeks two and three with back-to-back 100-yard games, reaching the endzone in both. This stack is also very affordable and allows us to fill in with pieces of the more chalky Ravens...

Pitchers Early Ranger Suárez FD - P 9200 DK - SP 8400 Opponent - CHC (Javier Assad) Park - CHC FD - 32.08 DK - 15.88 The final week of the regular season can be a nightmare for DFS, especially pitching, trying to figure out pitch counts and team's motivations. That shouldn't be an issue here as the Phillies are still alive and chasing the final NL wildcard spot. While Suarez lacks elite upside with a 19.7% K rate, he has provided a very solid floor allowing just one earned run in his last two starts lowering his ERA to 2.55 in the second half. Better yet, he gets a plus matchup against the Cubs who have struggled to a .280 wOBA/79 wRC+ over the last two weeks while striking out over 27% of the time. Fire up Suarez in all formats on the early slate. Main Shohei Ohtani FD - P 11100 DK - SP 10500 Opponent - OAK (Cole Irvin) Park - LAA FD - 47.97 DK - 26.58 He isn't going to win the Cy Young or the MVP in 2022 but Ohtani has improved in almost every single area when it comes to his performance on the mound. He already has five more wins(14), an ERA(2.47) over half a run better, and is striking out almost 4% more batters. He has been especially dominant down the stretch allowing just four earned runs over his last five starts(1.13 ERA) and now faces a bottom five offense in the A's who has struck out 26% of the time over the last two weeks. Lock and load with Ohtani in all formats. Catcher/First Base Early Triston Casas FD - 1B 2900 DK - 1B 2200 Opponent - BAL (Mike Baumann) Park - BOS FD - 9.92 DK - 7.48 It has taken some time for the prized Red Sox prospect to prove he belongs in the majors but is finishing the season strong and went into Wednesday night with hits in five of his last six games. He has also flashed some big power with three home runs in that time and gets a plus matchup against Mike Baumann(4.32 ERA/4.44 xFIP) and a struggling O's bullpen that has posted a 6.10 ERA over the last two weeks. Casas hits down in the lineup but is near min price on both sites and allows us to load up on bats elsewhere....
DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 9/28/22
DraftKings and FanDuel MLB Picks for Wednesday, 9/28/22 Next Wednesday is the final day of the regular season. It's been a fantastic run up to this point, and it's been awesome grinding DFS every day. That can be the most grueling aspect for many DFS players, but it helps give you an edge that can't be valued. It's also fun to watch these clubs battle for the few playoff spots remaining, and it makes many of these matchups competitive. With that in mind, let's start with the AL Cy Young favorite. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, and NFL optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Justin Verlander FD - P 11200 DK - SP 10500 Opponent - ARI (Zac Gallen) Park - HOU FD - 39.98 DK - 22.41 It's crazy to see a 40-year-old post a season like this after missing the last two years. It was always apparent that this would be a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer but to have a 1.82 ERA and 0.84 WHIP after missing two years is ridiculous. His consistency has been colossal, scoring at least 27 FanDuel points in 24 of his 26 starts this year. That's the All-Star we've become accustomed to, and he should have no issues with Arizona. The Diamondbacks sit 24th in OBP, 23rd in OPS, and 25th in xwOBA. All of that has JV entering this matchup as a -200 favorite, with the D'Backs projected for fewer than three runs. Taijuan Walker FD - P 8700 DK - SP 7900 Opponent - MIA (Jesús Luzardo) Park - NYM FD - 38.77 DK - 20.03 Carrasco was a huge disappointment on Tuesday, but we're going right back to the well with a Mets pitcher at home against Miami. That's a recipe that should work more often than not, and we believe Taijuan will provide some elite value. The right-hander has allowed four runs or fewer in 25 of his 27 starts, totaling a 2.77 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in those outings. The two duds were against the Phillies and Braves, so facing Miami should keep the prior trend churning. Over his last six starts against the Marlins dating back to last season, Walker has a 2.42 ERA and 0.93 WHIP. He also enters this matchup as a -190 favorite in a game with a seven-run total. George Kirby (FD $9200 DK $8400) is one of the best pitchers in the AL, and he should post another quality start against a 23rd-ranked Rangers offense. Catcher/First Base Matt Olson FD - 1B 3300 DK -...

The Course Country Club of Jackson Par 72 - 7,460 Yards Greens - Bermuda **Click the image above to see a hole-by-hole breakdown from PGATour.com** Previous Five Winners(by season) 2022 - Sam Burns(-22) 2021 - Sergio Garcia(-19) 2020 - Sebastian Munoz(-18) 2019 - Cameron Champ(-21) 2018 - Ryan Armour(-19) After another USA victory in the President's Cup, the 2022-23 PGA Tour season continues with a trip to the Country Club of Jackson for the Sanderson Farms Championship. The course is a Par 72 with some length as it is listed at 7,460 yards on the scorecard. Despite that, it has played as one of the easiest courses on tour ranking 45th out of 50 courses during the 2022 season and has not ranked inside the Top 25 in any season. It does have some of the narrowest fairways on tour but the rough is only around 2" tall on average and doesn't present much of a challenge. Right off the bat, this elevates SG: Approach in my model and breaking that down further, I like to look at Good Drive % and Rough Proximity which take into account a low fairways hit % in the 50-55% range. What I find, however, in these early season events is that stats models can be a bit misleading with an influx of Korn Ferry Tour players who have a very small or no sample size on the PGA Tour. With this, I will be looking at a lot of different data to come up with my player pool and favorite plays which you will see below. Let's get started.
