Guards James Harden FD - $10300 DK - $9800 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 46.68 DK - 49.8 Harden is coming off a season-low six points on Tuesday but that doesn't concern me for several reasons. First of all, he had been elite prior to that dud averaging 22 points, 12.2 assists, and 6.6 rebounds over the previous 12 games while tallying over 50 fantasy points nine times(53.9 DK/52.6 FD average). The other reason I am not concerned with a one-game sample is that the 76ers get the best matchup on the slate against the only team ranked outside the Top 20 in defense. The Blazers have also struggled even more in the short term giving up an average of 120 points per game over their last four. All things considered, Harden is a terrific building block in all formats. Gary Trent Jr. FD - $7000 DK - $6600 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 32.98 DK - 33.05 Targeting shooting dependant guards is not always the optimal route in cash games but we have a smaller slate on Thursday and it's hard to ignore Trent's form post-Christmas break. Take out the dud against the Hawks last week, and he is averaging 17.3 shots per game(8.5 per game from behind the arc) and has tallied 18 or more points each of those 11 games while averaging 37 DraftKings points per game. Minnesota is a tougher matchup here but at least it's a pace-up game(MIN 8th in pace) which has me on board with Trent's mid-tier price in all formats. Also Consider: Duane Washington(PHO) as a GPP play who likely starts again if Chris Paul is out Small Forward Mikal Bridges FD - $7100 DK - $6800 Opponent - BKN Proj Pts FD - 33.73 DK - 33.53 The Suns continue to run short-handed with Booker, Payne, Shamet, and Okogie already ruled out with Chris Paul in the questionable/doubtful category. This likely means another heavy run of minutes for Mikal Bridges who can be boom or bust at times but has provided us with more boom than anything lately tallying 40 or more fantasy points in three of his last four games. The Nets are no pushover defensively ranking 6th overall in efficiency but on a smaller slate we just can't ignore the massive opportunity and minutes floor that...
Daily Fantasy DraftKings and FanDuel NBA Picks – Wednesday, January 18
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 1/18/23 The number of big games we've seen this month has been insane. There have been nearly 20 40-point games this month already, and we're on pace to break the NBA record. The scoring from these guys is incredible, and it looks like playing defense is impossible at this point. It's not that these guys aren't playing defense; it's that they can't match up with the elite skill on the offensive end. It's made for a great product, so let's kick things off with one of the most talented playmakers in the NBA! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard LaMelo Ball FD - $9600 DK - $9600 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 50.37 DK - 54.99 Ball doesn't get talked about enough because he plays in Charlotte, but this guy is a hooper. The point guard has scored at least 41 DraftKings points in 18 of his last 19 games, averaging 24.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 8.5 assists, and 1.2 steals per game in that span. That's the stud we saw throughout most of last season, and he should have another ravishing performance against the Rockets. In his three career meetings with Houston, Ball is averaging over 50 fantasy points per game. That's no surprise since the Rockets rank 28th in defensive efficiency ratings while surrendering the most fantasy points to opposing PGs. D'Angelo Russell FD - $6500 DK - $6800 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 34.83 DK - 35.88 It's hard to believe that Russell has dropped below $7,000. This guy has been playing the best basketball of his career since Karl-Anthony Towns got injured, scorning at least 30 fantasy points in 21 of his last 25 games. He's also registering a 35-point average in that span, seeing a massive spike in shot attempts and usage. A bump like that is huge for a former All-Star player, and we don't expect him to have any issues with the Nuggets. Denver ranks 22nd in defensive efficiency while owning a 27th OPRK against opposing point guards. That's on full display when you see that D-Lo has at least 32 fantasy points in each of their last four matchups. De'Aaron Fox (FD $8300 DK $8300) faces...

That's right, the PGA Tour heads to La Quinta, California for The American Express this week where there will be three courses used to accommodate the pro-ams in the field. Each player in the field will play one round on each course from Thursday through Saturday with the cut of Top 65 and ties happening after round 3 is complete. Those players will then play the final round on the Stadium Course on Sunday. The field for the American Express is stacked this year with five of the Top 7 and 10 of the Top 20 players in the OWGR teeing it up in Cali. Making that even more interesting is the fact almost every one of those players has good event history here. Looking at the courses, all three are Par 72's that come in under 7,200 yards and have been on the easier side in terms of average scoring which makes sense with the presence of amateurs. That means a lot of birdies for the pros and the reason we have seen a winning score in the -20's each year going back to 2016 when these three courses became the staple here. When researching and looking at stats, keep in mind that there is only Shotlink data on the Stadium Course. This makes it somewhat challenging when trying to put together a model so for these types of events...

Plus our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Guards Marcus Smart FD - $6400 DK - $6900 Opponent - CHA Proj Pts FD - 34.2 DK - 34.6 If you are playing the early slate, some exposure to the Celtics is optimal as they get one of the best matchups on the entire day facing the Hornets who run a top-10 pace and rank 27th in defensive efficiency. The Celtics will also be without Jaylen Brown on Monday and while positional correlation isn't perfect, Smart has been playing great in his absence. He has taken double-digit shots(15/12) in back-to-back games, but the ball distribution has really stood out as he has tallied 10 and 12 assists for back-to-back double-doubles, as well. He is one of our top-rated PTS/$ guards on Monday. Gabe Vincent FD - $5000 DK - $5200 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 26.85 DK - 28.11 The price is on the rise but Vincent is set to make his fourth straight start with Kyle Lowry already ruled out for this one. In Lowry's three-game absence, Vincent has taken 12 or more shots in each and has been very efficient over the last two games making 21 of 31 shots and providing us 45+ fantasy points in each. While I don't expect that type of run-hot shooting to continue it is a fantasy-friendly matchup against the Hawks who rank 25th in fantasy points to guards. Fire up Vincent in all formats. Russell Westbrook FD - $8300 DK - $8600 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 39.09 DK - 40.15 The system is very conservative with Westbrook's projection which is directly correlated to him coming off the bench this season. I am only considering him a core play tonight as we have a smaller two-game slate on Monday and it also helps Westbrook is in great form, as well. Since laying an egg against the Hornets on January 2, Westy has averaged 23 points, nine assists, and 7.6 rebounds per game over his last five which is just shy of a 50-point fantasy average. LeBron is also dealing with an injury and playing on a back-to-back could sit this one out which would most definitely elevate Westy to elite status. Stay tuned. Also Consider: Tyus Jones(MEM) if Ja Morant is out. He put up 40+ fantasy points in both games of a back-to-back January 8th &...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday, 1/15
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 1/15/23 It's been an interesting week of basketball. We always discuss how bad the injury reports look, but they continue to get worse. It feels like numerous superstars are sitting on every slate, making DFS a challenging endeavor. In any case, we make these articles to help you guys digest some of that information and find the value from those unfortunate circumstances. We're going to capitalize on some of those injuries here, so let's get started with the point guards! Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard De'Aaron Fox FD - $8500 DK - $9100 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 44.06 DK - 45.07 Fox is having a career year in Sacramento, and he could be on his way to Utah for his first career All-Star game. The speedster has scored at least 27 DraftKings points in all but three games this year, with all of those duds being limited by an injury or an ejection. That's one of the highest floors in this price range, and it pairs beautifully with his 41-point average. Squaring off with the Spurs is the best part of this, though, with San Antonio sitting dead last in both points allowed and defensive efficiency. They're also allowing the second-most fantasy points to opposing point guards, with Fox dropping 47 DraftKings points in their one matchup this year. Tre Jones FD - $6800 DK - $6300 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 35.22 DK - 35.03 This Kings-Spurs matchup is expected to be the highest-scoring game on this slate, so we'll have a ton of exposure to it. That's why we love both of these point guards, with Jones running things in San Antonio. The 23-year-old has scored at least 29 DraftKings points in nine of his last 10 games, generating a 34-point average in that span. That's all you can ask for from a sub-$7K player, but it's no surprise since he's been asked to do more since Devin Vassell (knee) got injured. That expanded role makes Tre tough to fade against Sacramento, sitting 25th in both points allowed and defensive efficiency. Luka Doncic (FD $12500 DK $12900) leads the NBA with nearly 65 fantasy points per game and is...

Guards *At this point, Luka is an auto-play and should be about $1000 more expensive on both sites. He is still hard to build around so my early construction will be centered around getting two of my favorite $10K players in my lineup as a core. Let's dig in!* James Harden FD - $10600 DK - $10100 Opponent - UTA Proj Pts FD - 49.36 DK - 53.3 After Luka, it is very close for me between Ja Morant and James Harden in high total games but I lean towards the latter as he has actually been giving us a more consistent PTS/$ return. He isn't garnering the same usage as in the past but has become an even more elite distributor averaging 12.5 rebounds over his last 10 games to go with 6.7 rebounds and 22.5 points for a fantasy return of over 55 points per game. He now faces a Utah defence that runs fast(11th in pace) and is 26th in defensive efficiency. Fire up Harden in all formats. Gary Trent Jr. FD - $6900 DK - $6100 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 33.52 DK - 35.06 The guard position is loaded in every price tier tonight so lineup construction will ultimately come down to the final injury report and how much value is available. If you are looking for a consistent mid-tier play for cash games, don't overlook Gary Trent. He is very shooting dependant and even with the Raptors at full strength, he has been one of their best players lately. He is averaging over 17 shots and 24 points per game over his last eight while giving us a return of 37.8 fantasy points per game. In a matchup against one of the most fantasy-friendly defence's in the league, I have Trent in my first-look cash builds for tonight. Buddy Hield FD - $6700 DK - $6300 Opponent - MEM Proj Pts FD - 38.11 DK - 42.44 Andrew Nembhard FD - $5700 DK - $4600 Opponent - MEM Proj Pts FD - 26.32 DK - 28.63 The Pacers are on a back-to-back on Saturday but it might not matter for playing time as they look to be short-handed once again with Haliburton, Turner, and NeSmith all missing last night's game. The one thing we know for sure is that Haliburton is out for...
