GOALIE Devan Dubnyk FD - $8600 DK - $8500 Opponent - ARI Proj Pts FD - 18.82 DK - 4.7 The Minnesota Wild defense hasn't been a big help to Dubnyk early on in the season as he has already faced 167 shots(41.8 per game). The good news is that those shot totals help him provide a very high floor and he has also been solid overall with a .934 save %. Even better news as the Wild will be at home tonight against a Coyotes team that is firing 36.5 shots on goal per game but have only scored three goals in four games ranking dead last in offense. As a big favorite( ), you can fire up Dubnyk in all formats tonight. Semyon Varlamov FD - $8200 DK - $8000 Opponent - NYR Proj Pts FD - 15.91 DK - 3.98 Another goalie off to a hot start has been Semyon Varlamov who comes into tonight a very impressive .946 save % while facing an average of 32.5 shots per game. The difference between he and Dubnyk is that the Avs offense has also been hot scoring 3.8 goals per game which has helped Varlamov to a 3-0-1 record. Like the Wild, the Avs and Varlamov also get a very nice matchup tonight facing a Rangers team that has gone 1-4 to start the season while averaging just 2.4 goals per game. The other positive is that they have fired just over 34 shots per game so all things considered, Varlamov can also be considered in all formats. In this article, I will be looking at some of the top plays at each position for both slates so let's not waste any more time and jump right in. GOALIE Early Slate Tuukka Rask FD - $8500 DK - $8400 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 16.37 DK - 4.09 It hasn't been the start to the season Rask had hoped for as he has given up eight goals in his first two starts but he has a terrific matchup to turn it around. The Bruins are at home Saturday afternoon and are, by far, the biggest favorites(-270) on the slate facing a Red Wings team that is really missing Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk as they have scored just nine goals in their first four games(2.3 per game). On a regular sized slate, I likely wouldn't consider Rask until I see more from him but considering the other options today, he is my top goalie in all formats. Main Slate Pekka Rinne FD - $8800 DK - $8400 Opponent - NYI Proj Pts FD - 16.04 DK - 4.01 The Predators have gotten off to a good start this season and a big part of that has reigning Vezina Trophy winner Pekka Rinne. He is coming off a shutout against one of the best teams in the league in the Jets and has only allowed five total goals through three starts(.946 save %, 1.67 GAA). He will now face an Islanders team that is still looking to establish an identity with John Tavares leaving in free agency in the offseason. The Preds are the biggest favorites(-235) on the slate and considering the talent and matchup he is my top goalie in all formats. Casey Desmith FD - $7700 DK - $7800 Opponent - MON Proj Pts FD - 19.18 DK - 4.8 With Matt Murray suffering a concussion and out of the lineup for a while, Casey DeSmith steps in as the teams top goalie. He made his first start of the season on Thursday and impressed saving 37 of 39 shots against the Golden Knights in a 4-2 victory. He now gets another plus...

It was Harvick that used that to his advantage as he got out front and led 286 of the first 321 laps winning both stage one and two. Things didn't go as planned, however, as a broken valve stem from a pit stop late in the race cost him a lap and a shot at the win. The race eventually went to overtime and it was Chase Elliott who jumped out front on the restart and never looked back as he picked up his second win of the season and an automatic bid into the Round of 8. The second race of round two takes us to Talladega Superspeedway for the 1000bulbs.com 500 this Sunday afternoon. It is the second trip to Talladega and the fourth restrictor plate race of the season. The plate tracks are the great equalizer in an era where finding an edge is nearly impossible. It is a race where almost anyone can win if you can avoid "The Big One" or two or three. With that said, it has been Penske Racing teammates Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski who have dominated here winning five of the last six and six of the last eight races here. From a fantasy perspective, our main focus and strategy shifts as dominator points are not nearly as important. Only four times in the last six races has there been a driver lead 50 or more laps with three or more drivers leading 20 or more laps in five of the last six races. The key strategy this week is building a roster around drivers with place differential upside as coming through the field is easier than any other race with drafting. GOALIE Andrei Vasilevskiy FD - $8700 DK - $8500 Opponent - VAN Proj Pts FD - 18.44 DK - 4.61 Vasilevskiy is coming off a season where he posted a career-high 44 wins and .920 save % and picked up right where he left off in the Bolts first game of the season. They hosted the Florida Panthers and while the defense allowed an uncharacteristic 43 shots on goal, Vasi shut them down allowing just one goal and picking up his first win of the season while recording 10.4 DraftKings/ 41.6 FanDuel points. The Bolts are at home again tonight in a plus matchup against the Canucks who have gotten off to a hot start offensively but will most likely regress with the lack of talent throughout the lineup and also have a very long travel schedule going from B.C. to Florida. The Bolts are big favorites tonight and Vasilevskiy is easily my top goalie in all formats on this big slate. Carey Price FD - $8100 DK - $7000 Opponent - LA Proj Pts FD - 18.26 DK - 4.56 The very first thing I noticed when researching this slate was the salary on Carey Price. He is 16th in salary on FanDuel and near minimum price on DraftKings which just seems silly considering he is one of the most talented goalies in the league. After one of his worst seasons as a pro(16-26-7 record), he has gotten off to a good start saving 44 of 48 shots(.917 save %) through two games(1.98 GAA) going 1-0-1. Much like last year, the Habs are not likely to provide a ton of offense in front of him which limits the win potential but at these prices, especially on DraftKings, I am willing to take the risk in GPP formats against a Kings team that has scored just seven goals in their first three games....
