Point Guard/ Shooting Guard Coby White FD - $7600 DK - $7500Opponent - ATLProj Pts FD - 40.9 DK - 45.15 Alex Caruso FD - $6200 DK - $5300Opponent - ATLProj Pts FD - 34.34 DK - 34.85 The Bulls are in a good spot on Monday, facing off against the Atlanta Hawks who come in with the second-worst defensive efficiency in the league. They stink, and we are often targeting opposing offenses against them, even on big slates. That works here, with Coby White and Alex Caruson ringing in as the cash game plays. White is a candidate to play close to 40 minutes in close games, and he’s averaging 23 points, 6.5 assists, and five rebounds over the last four. Meanwhile, the biggest encouraging sign for Alex Caruso is the minutes are more consistently hitting in the mid-30s, which is what he needs to make a safe play. The middle-tier pricing mostly works, but because the usage rate is so low, he needs to be out there enough to fill in the stats across the board. In a fast-paced, low-defense game, that should work out in his favor. Immanuel Quickley FD - $7000 DK - $6900Opponent - SAProj Pts FD - 36.98 DK - 40.43 Immanuel Quickley spiked 38 minutes two games ago against the Houston Rockets, an encouraging sign if the Raptors are going to play in non-blowouts. He scored 25 points 9-19 shooting in that one. The usage can come and go in this new role, but on Monday, he’s gifted with playing the Spurs, who rank 25th on defense and run the fifth-fastest pace. That’s a nice meeting spot for him to get up a lot of shots. Tre Mann FD - $6000 DK - $4600Opponent - INDProj Pts FD - 30.95 DK - 34.78 Tre Mann got the start for the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday in his first game with the new team following the trade deadline. It worked out with Mann scoring nine points, tallying nine assists, and running 27 minutes when it was all said and done. I think this role is secure going forward as long as LaMelo Ball is out of...

Point Guard/ Shooting Guard Amen Thompson FD - $7200 DK - $5300Opponent - TORProj Pts FD - 37.38 DK - 39.16 Amen Thompson will get the start again for Fred VanVleet who will be out the next four games for the Rockets. He was massive chalk last time out, and easily paid off with 13 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, and three blocks. It’s one reason the price skyrocketed in just a short period of time. It wasn’t nearly enough on DraftKings, where he’s going to be one of the highest-owned players once again. On FanDuel, its closer considering he’s in the $7K range, but is still a play with a fine matchup and high minutes floor as long as the game stays close. Cody Martin FD - $5700 DK - $5200Opponent - MILProj Pts FD - 31.13 DK - 32.66 The Hornets unloaded some players at the deadline and are still going to be without LaMelo Ball going into this game. Cody Martin should start in the point guard slot once again and is coming off scoring 19 points while adding eight assists, and five rebounds last time out. Against Milwaukee here, this isn’t all that close of a call considering the price only moved slightly. The Hornets stink, but that doesn’t mean we still can’t find fantasy value, and Martin is a clear play here. Kelly Oubre Jr. FD - $6500 DK - $6400Opponent - ATLProj Pts FD - 36.6 DK - 37.73 Ricky Council IV FD - $3900 DK - $3400Opponent - ATLProj Pts FD - 32.01 DK - 33.5 Some weirder plays, especially where Council is concerned, but the 76ers are really down bodies after the trade deadline. They shipped out Patrick Beverley, Jaden Springer, Danuel House, and Furkan Korkmaz in a variety of deals. Plus they are still without Nic Batum, Robert Covington, De'Anthony Melton and, of course, Joel Embiid. That just means there are tons of minutes available for this team on Friday until some of the new faces can find their way into the building. Tyrese Maxey (FD 9600 DK 9200) is also in play of course, though things have been a struggle without...

Point Guard/ Shooting Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $11700 DK - $10500Opponent - UTAProj Pts FD - 65.63 DK - 65.89 The Thunder have the highest implied total on the slate and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the best player on the team. Is that enough reason here? Simplicity aside, this is a great spot for SGA, who comes in with a high floor even at these ridiculous prices. He’s averaging 31 points, 6.6 assists, 5.7 rebounds, and 3.2 steals+ blocks per game, basically career highs across the board. Couple this with the Jazz sporting the 24th-ranked defense and a top-10 pace. You have a great mix of floor and upside with plenty of savings elsewhere to fit the salary. Jalen Green FD - $7200 DK - $7100Opponent - INDProj Pts FD - 37.18 DK - 40.82 Fred VanVleet has already been ruled out of this game against the Pacers, putting some of the other Rockets in good spots for cash games on FanDuel and DraftKings. Jalen Green stands to see a bump in usage here, going from 27% on the season to 33% with FVV off the court. The guard minutes should open up a bit, too, and he’s a candidate for heavy run in a fast-paced game against the Pacers. Everything is lining up for Green to smash in this situation and I suspect he is a highly-owned player on this slate. Amen Thompson FD - $5600 DK - $4100Opponent - INDProj Pts FD - 33.32 DK - 34.69 It looks like Amen Thompson will draw the start in place of Fred VanVleet here, making him one of the best value plays we can get. The DraftKings price is an especially low joke if he’s in the starting five. And honestly, he’d be a cash play even coming off the bench because of how many minutes are opening up here. Amen can’t shoot, but he can do everything else. Plus, the matchup against the Pacers should be up and down the court, working perfectly into his style of play. This is an easy one. Strongly consider going back to Jalen Brunson (FD 9700 DK 9700) here. He’s playing massive minutes and...

Point Guard/ Shooting Guard Tyrese Maxey FD - $9400 DK - $9100Opponent - DALProj Pts FD - 48.5 DK - 52 With Joel Embiid lost for the foreseeable future and maybe the season, the 76er's hopes now turn over to Tyrese Maxey to shoulder the load on the offensive end. While not having Embiid hurts bad, Maxey sees a massive bump in usage with the Philly center off the court. He leads the team at 33% and the assists actually climb as well. Of course, opposing defenses will give him much more attention now, but we’ll have to live with that. At his current prices, on this slate, he makes for a pretty easy play. Cam Thomas FD - $7200 DK - $6600Opponent - GSProj Pts FD - 35.45 DK - 38.53 As of this writing, Jacque Vaughn hadn’t committed to Cam Thomas starting this game, but he has to, right? Cam is coming off a 40-point performance against the 76ers on Saturday and is among the very best points-per-minute scorers in the entire league. When he has it going, few others can put it in the basket like this guy. No Ben Simmons in this game and the Nets will need all the ball handling and scoring they can get against the Warriors. I expect Cam Thomas to play a lot here. Brandin Podziemski FD - $5700 DK - $5700Opponent - BKNProj Pts FD - 32.91 DK - 36.06 Andrew Wiggins is doubtful for this game against the Nets, and that should mean Brandin Podziemski, once again, getting into the starting lineup. Podziemski started the second half of the last game against the Atlanta Hawks after being a popular play even coming off the bench. His price is way too low on both sites, considering he can score with this group and also rebounds the position rather well. He should be one of the chalkier plays on this slate. Small Forward Miles Bridges FD - $8500 DK - $8200Opponent - LALProj Pts FD - 44.63 DK - 47.87 Still, no LaMelo Ball for the Hornets, and that means most of the scoring and usage goes to Miles Bridges and Brandon...

Point Guard/ Shooting Guard Jaden Hardy FD - $5100 DK - $4400Opponent - MINProj Pts FD - 32.03 DK - 35.71 Tim Hardaway Jr. FD - $6400 DK - $6000Opponent - MINProj Pts FD - 36.15 DK - 40.54 The Dallas Mavericks are effectively punting this game against the Timberwolves, sitting Luka Doncic and Derrick Lively among others, turning the game over to the bench unit. We haven’t seen this a ton in the NBA this season, but it definitely still happens from time to time. And when it does we can basically stack the cheap guys who are bound to see a ton of the usage. That’s going to start with Jaden Hardy, who is projected to take over the starting point guard duties and could chuck from the rafters in this one. He’s coming off a 20-point, seven-assist game last time out and that was in *just* 27 minutes. With Luka and Kyrie out, he has the second-highest usage on the team at 27%. I suspect he’s the most popular cash play on this slate. Then there is Tim Hardaway Jr., who should be in the starting lineup at the two-guard in this one. THJ spikes the biggest usage gain with Luka and Kyrie off the court, putting up a whopping 37.6% rate in 195 minutes. The question here isn’t whether Hardaway will take a lot of shots in his minutes, but rather if he’ll play enough minutes. There’s real blowout risk here, and he would be one of the first guys cut, seeing as how he’s a big part of their regular rotation. If he’s in the starting lineup, then it’s worth the risk for sure. But this is something to monitor to see if Jason Kidd mentions limited run for anyone. James Harden FD - $8400 DK - $8500Opponent - WASProj Pts FD - 47.67 DK - 51.27 While some of the Dallas Mavericks could make for popular plays on this slate, there are some other high-powered teams in very spots for Wednesday’s NBA action. One of them is the Clippers who face off against the dreadful Washington Wizards who play the fastest pace in the league...

Point Guard/ Shooting Guard Jalen Brunson FD - $9300 DK - $9300Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 49.53 DK - 53.41 Julius Randle will miss extended time after dislocating his shoulder this weekend. It’s a big loss for the Knicks and he was one of the better fantasy producers on the season. But it will also mean tons of opportunities opening up for this team while Randle is out of the mix. Brunson isn’t the biggest beneficiary, but he’s a big one, going from 29% usage on the season to almost 32% when Randle is off the court. And in terms of playmaking, he should see the ball in his hands more in general. The Knicks also get a great matchup against the Hornets and I expect these guys to be chalkier plays across the board. Cam Thomas FD - $6600 DK - $6000Opponent - UTAProj Pts FD - 35.98 DK - 38.72 Cam Johnson returns for the Nets tonight (so does Ben Simmons, mind you) but Dorian Finney-Smith is out after twisting an ankle last game. That should mean Cam Thomas sticking in the starting lineup at least for this one. The Nets have shuttled him in and out of the role, but he’s coming off a 37-point game against the Rockets that saw him go 11-19 from the field and 12-15 from the line. He needs to score to hit value, which is a dicier proposition, but the price is low enough on both sites that I’m not sweating it too hard. Tre Jones FD - $6400 DK - $5800Opponent - WASProj Pts FD - 32.14 DK - 34.47 Jeremy Sochan FD - $6200 DK - $5700Opponent - WASProj Pts FD - 33.06 DK - 36.06 The Spurs come into this game with one of the highest implied totals on the slate, sitting at -4 favorites against the Wizards in a game with a 240 over/under. Tre Jones is locked into starting point guard duties now, with double-digit assist games in two of his last four. He’s not a candidate to see huge usage on this team, but that’s fine considering his current role. He’s been able to get...
