Basically, we are going to have to pay up in a big way to roster him. But on nights like this, it’s more than worth it. He’s facing off against the Pacers who own the 25ht-ranked defense and run the fastest pace in the league. Luka is averaging 34.5 points, 9.7 assists, and 8.9 rebounds on the season, and he’s somehow topped those averages over the last month or so. It’s really something to behold. As long as the game stays relatively close, he should see minutes close to 40 and the floor is tough to beat. Plus, on this slate, there should be plenty of ways to save salary. Tre Mann FD - $5800 DK - $5700Opponent - ORLProj Pts FD - 30.78 DK - 33.43 Vasilije Micic FD - $4800 DK - $5000Opponent - ORLProj Pts FD - 25.96 DK - 28.92 The Charlotte Hornets are still without LaMelo Ball, and now they are missing Cody Martin and Seth Curry as well. Vasilije Micic moved into the starting lineup against the Raptors, playing 35 minutes and finishing with 12 point, six assists, two rebounds, and two steals. For the minutes, it was a bit of an underwhelming performance, and he got off to a really slow start. But I don’t mind going back to him as a play here at these price points. Meanwhile, Tre Mann is locked into the starting lineup with the prices sitting in the mid0-$5K range on both sites. His usage is pretty low with this group, though he’s been able to add numbers around the rest of the stat line to keep the floor high enough. The run should be there again even if this isn’t the best matchup on the board. If Jalen Brunson is out then Miles McBride (FD 5700 DK 5500) would jump up the top of the value chart. With the Clippers still fighting for playoff seeding, we should see a strong closing stretch from this group. Harden’s price isn’t in line with PG out of the mix. Norman Powell FD - $4800 DK - $4800Opponent - LALProj Pts FD - 30.16 DK - 32.78 Norman Powell got the start in place of Paul George last game, and that should happen again here on Wednesday. Powell played 37 minutes last time out, taking the second-most shots on the team with 17. He finished with a team-high 21 points, though it’s worth noting that his fantasy production is basically: score the basketball or bust. Powell doesn’t pile on the assists or rebounds, though at his sub-$5K prices that risk is greatly mitigated. He will be a chalk play on this slate. Jordan Goodwin FD - $4400 DK - $4000Opponent - MINProj Pts FD - 24.25 DK - 25.04 We could see Jordan Goodwin draw the start for the Grizzlies here seeing as how Memphis is, once again, shorthanded in terms of players available. Luke Kennard is out, as is John Konchar, leaving another think backcourt for this squad who is already down Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, and Marcus Smart. Goodwin can get the job done on a fantasy per-minute basis when given the opportunity. We will need to wait for the Grizz actives as well as the starting lineup with this one. He’s kind of score or bust with his fantasy profile, coming off an 11-shot that saw him get to 17 points. Bog did add in five rebounds, and three assists, but he’ll need the usage to really hit any upside. That being said, with the minutes and the matchup, he’s still a play here with Trae Young on the shelf. Dennis Schröder FD - $5400 DK - $4800Opponent - ORLProj Pts FD - 29.39 DK - 32.17 Ben Simmons is going to sit the second half of the back-to-back and Cam Thomas is doubtful with a sprained ankle suffered at the end of the Grizzlies game. That means we should see a lot of Dennis Schroder here for the Nets on Tuesday against the Magic. He played 26 minutes in the start on Monday, scoring 18 points while adding five assists. The minutes will, almost for sure, increase in this game with Brooklyn down bad in the backcourt. Utah has an interesting guard rotation in that Collin Sexton and Keyonte George are starters, but Jordan Clarkson comes in and plays a lot of minutes off the bench as well. It does lead to some usage concerns, but in general, the minutes are more than there for these guys with the prices relatively in check. Before the All-Star Break, Keyonte George played a whopping 41 minutes against the Warriors, putting up 22 shots and finishing with 33 points. It was, for sure, a breakout performance. The DraftKings price is way too low for his new role. Meanwhile, Sexton took the third most shots on the team in that game, getting up 18 looks and finishing with 35 points and nine assists. The Jazz can support these guys as cash game plays at their current salaries for sure. Tre Mann FD - $6600 DK - $5500Opponent - UTAProj Pts FD - 27.64 DK - 28.69 Tre Mann has been one of the big winners of the trade deadline, coming over from the Thunder and joining the Hornets starting lineup almost immediately. Over his last three games, he’s averaged 14 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds while running more than 30 minutes per game. He’s just contributing across the board while Charlotte is still without LaMelo Ball in the lineup. Even with the prices climbing, he’s still a play on both sites, especially DraftKings. With Kawhi off the court, Harden has the second-highest usage among the starters at 23.2%, up from 20% on the season. The assists tick up as well, as the ball is in his hands more. His price has fallen on both sites because the Clippers have been at full strength for so long. It’s time to take advantage of Kawhi missing this game. Cole Anthony FD - $5100 DK - $3700Opponent - NYProj Pts FD - 26.89 DK - 29.24 Markelle Fultz has been ruled out, and that should mean Cole Anthony spiking minutes or maybe even starting this game. I like him as a bargain play in this price tier with a good matchup for the Kings. Cade Cunningham FD - $8400 DK - $7800Opponent - LALProj Pts FD - 41.5 DK - 45.33 The Pistons seem to be honing in on the exact rotation they want to play and have even been able to stick in some recent games. That’s meant more consistency from Cade Cunningham, who is averaging 20 points and eight assists over the last four. He’s still struggling to hit the three consistently, which is one reason the price has stayed in check. Even as double-digit underdogs against the Lakers, I like playing him on DraftKings, coming under $8K against a below-average defense. Anfernee Simons FD - $7900 DK - $8200Opponent - MINProj Pts FD - 38.9 DK - 43.75 The Blazers draw a tough matchup here against the Timberwolves, but there could be a lot to like about Anfernee Simons. For starters, Malcolm Brogdon is out, which helps Simons with the usage. Plus, the Blazers could be without Scoot Henderson as well which would make them very, very thin in the backcourt. Simons is getting up about 20 shots per game over the last four, scoring 27 point per in that stretch. The FanDuel price is enticing though there are blowout concerns to worry about.
