Pitchers Yu Darvish FD - P 9000 DK - SP 9400 Opponent - COL (Chi Chi Gonzalez) Park - COL FD - 38.18 DK - 21.54 You know it's a weird night for pitching when our top pitcher gets a huge park downgrade heading into Coors Field. What stands out the most and reason for his lofty PTS/$ projection is the fact he is near season-low pricing on both sites sitting 3rd/4th in pricing on DraftKings and FanDuel. While the K upside has been up and down, Darvish has been consistent holding opponents to two or fewer earned runs in 11 of 13 starts this season. If you can get past the ballpark the matchup is a plus one as the Rockies have scored a league-low 91 runs over the last month and have an ugly 67 wRC+ vs. right-handed pitching. Fire up Darvish in all formats. Trevor Rogers FD - P 10000 DK - RP 10000 Opponent - STL (Undecided) Park - STL FD - 34.96 DK - 18.8 The optimizer often pairs two top pitchers on DraftKings and that will most likely be the case tonight with a lack of pitching and Rogers/Darvish combined salary being under $20K. Rogers has also been terrific to start his second season averaging almost six innings per start and has held opponents to two or fewer earned runs in seven straight and 12 of his 13 starts(3 ER in the other). He has not only been consistent but provided but upside as well with a 30% K rate/15% swinging-strike rate and now faces a struggling Cardinals team that has posted a 80 wRC+ and 26% K rate over the last two weeks. I will have exposure in all formats. Also Consider: Casey Mize(DET) as value SP2 option who has posted a 2.45 ERA over his last seven starts Catcher/First Base Daniel Vogelbach FD - 1B 3000 DK - 1B 3800 Opponent - CIN (Luis Castillo) Park - MIL FD - 9.36 DK - 6.92 It another Coors night and I really like the matchup or the Padres which means we are going to need some value if we want to stack them. One team I have turned to quite a bit recently for value has been the Brewers and specifically the top of the lineup. While hitting just .221 on the season, Vogelbach has been consistent in the short term with hits in...

Pitchers Afternoon Corbin Burnes FD - P 12000 DK - RP 10500 Opponent - PIT (Chad Kuhl) Park - MILFD - 44.56 DK - 24.42 Burnes has been stupid good this season with numbers that are truly eye-popping even for the strikeout age of baseball. Through his first 59 innings and change, he’s struck out 42% of the haters he’s faced for a 14 K/9 rate. It’s led to a 1.71 xFIP and 0.97 FIP. These are cheat-code level stats for a starting pitcher and he’s just been fully dominating. On Saturday afternoon he’ll face off against a very weak Pirates team and is opening as a -270 home favorite. Even at the high prices, this is just a very tough fade based on what he’s done this season. Joe Musgrove (FD $8300 DK $9300) is a great play against the Mets. The FanDuel price is a total steal for what he’s been doing this season. Evening Trevor Bauer FD - P 11000 DK - SP 9800 Opponent - TEX (Kolby Allard) Park - LADFD - 51.69 DK - 28.73 Bauer is a monster favorite for the evening slate of games, with the Dodgers opening at -290 at home against the Rangers. Bauer isn’t as good as the 2.40 ERA would suggest, but the xFIP is only trailing by a little more than a run this season. He’s struck out more than 11 batters per nine and has the walk rate under his career average. The Rangers rank 28th in terms of team offense on the season and are striking out 26% of the time as a team. This is a smash spot for Bauer and he’ll likely be the chalk pitcher for the evening. Catcher/First Base Afternoon Freddie Freeman FD - 1B 3400 DK - 1B 5200 Opponent - MIA (Undecided) Park - MIAFD - 14.63 DK - 10.95 The Marlins haven’t announced their starter for Saturday and that’s going to have the Braves in a good spot for this game. While there isn’t an early line on the game, we can assume Atlanta is the clear favorite. Freeman’s OPS is down a bit this season compared to years past, but he’s still tough to K at only 18%, takes a ton of walks, and is running so bad on batted ball stuff with a BABIP over 100 points lower than his career average. He’s coming at a deal because...

Pitchers Brandon Woodruff FD - P 11800 DK - SP 10400 Opponent - PIT (Chase De Jong) Park - MIL FD - 43 DK - 24.06 Don't get me wrong, fading deGrom in cash in a game with a silly 5.5 total seems silly but hear me out. Woodruff is not only a much larger favorite(-265) here but also gets a much better matchup against a Pirates team that ranks 2nd to last in runs scored and wRC+(81) and dead last in wOBA(.286) on the season. For Woodruff, he has been elite since the short outing on opening day holding opponents to two or fewer earned runs in 11 straight starts(1.13 ERA/2.66 xFIP) with a 33% K rate. Add in the $900 discount on DraftKings and he is my top pitcher on this slate. Tyler Mahle FD - P 8500 DK - SP 7900 Opponent - COL (Kyle Freeland) Park - CIN FD - 37.24 DK - 20.71 Up next is my favorite value pitcher on the slate in Tyler Mahle who continues to come in under the $8K mark on DraftKings despite getting off to a career-best start. Outside of two awful starts where he allowed six and seven earned runs, he has held opponents to two or fewer in 10 of 12 starts and enters with an impressive 3.32 ERA/3.62 xFIP. He also gets a plus matchup tonight against a Rockies team that ranks dead last in wRC+(71) which is park-adjusted. No matter which elite arm you are paying up for, Mahle is my favorite SP2 on DraftKings in all formats. Catcher/First Base Matt Olson FD - 1B 3800 DK - 1B 5400 Opponent - KC (Brady Singer) Park - OAK FD - 11.16 DK - 8.27 If paying up at the first, Olson is the clear choice for me for a couple of reasons starting with the matchup. He and the A's face Brad Singer who has given up eight or more walks/hits in five of his last six starts and struggles much more against lefties with a 4.99 xFIP and has given up a .348 wOBA and all four home runs against in the splits. The biggest change for Olson this season has been the patience as he has brought his K rate down to 17% after topping 25% in four previous seasons. This has pushed him to an insane .393 wOBA and 158 wRC+, both among...

Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Gerrit Cole FD - P 11500 DK - SP 11200 Opponent - MIN (Randy Dobnak) Park - MIN FD - 42.63 DK - 24.07 Cole has gotten wrecked for earned runs in two of his last four starts but I am not at all concerned, especially considering the lack of pitching on this slate. Outside of those two duds, Cole has been elite this season holding opponents to two or fewer earned runs in 10 of 12 starts, good for a 2.26 ERA/2.34 xFIP, and has not only has he been consistent but also provides a ton of upside with a 36.5% K rate. The matchup is nothing to write home about as the Twins are slightly above average in the split vs. righties(105 wRC+) and overall on the season(106 wRC+) but Cole is still easily the top pitcher on this slate. Austin Gomber FD - P 9500 DK - 6000 Opponent - MIA (Undecided) Park - MIA FD - 32.99 DK - 16.3 Stacking Cole with multiple big bats shouldn't be an issue on this slate given the two rookie pitchers who have been terrific lately and both in the $6k range on DraftKings. I will take the cheaper of the two and roll with Austin Gomber who is massively underpriced relative to his FanDuel price. He has definitely had some bumps along the way(gave up 5+ ER twice in three starts) but has been rolling lately holding opponents to two or fewer earned runs in five straight starts and three of those came at home in Coors Field. Tonight he gets a huge park factor upgrade getting a start in Miami vs. the Marlins who have a 88 wRC+ and 28% K rate against southpaws. Also Consider: Lance Lynn(CHW) who has been terrific all season(2.26 ERA/234 xFIP) but gets a tougher matchup vs. the Jays so is a GPP only play for me tonight Catcher/First Base Yuli Gurriel FD 3200 DK 4400 Opponent - BOS (Nathan Eovaldi) Park - BOS FD - 9.95 DK - 7.63 This game has the highest total(9.5) on the board tonight and a great spot to turn to in all formats. If you are not punting SP2 on DraftKings a balanced approach at the first base is in the cards and it starts with Yuli Gurriel. In the short term, he has been scorching hot with hits in five straight including four multi-hit...

Pitchers Tyler Glasnow FD - P 11000 DK - SP 10000 Opponent - WSH (Jon Lester) Park - TB FD - 45.83 DK - 25.72 After a quiet Monday, we are back with a full 15-game slate tonight and three ace pitchers sitting right at the top of the salary. The system has Glasnow sitting atop the PTS/$ rankings and I have to agree here as he comes at a discount from Bieber in a very similar matchup and has been more consistent(2.85 xFIP) with more upside(35% K rate) than Buehler. He also catches the Nats at the right time as they have lost eight of their last 11 while averaging just three runs per game and striking out 25% of the time. All things considered, Glasnow is my top pitcher in all formats tonight. Chris Bassitt FD - P 9700 DK - SP 8800 Opponent - ARI (Jon Duplantier) Park - OAK FD - 38.93 DK - 21.11 The chalk builds on DraftKings are very likely going to contain some combination of two top pitchers tonight and I wouldn't at all be surprised if Bassitt was the highest owned at a price under $9K. He is coming off his shortest outing(4 IP, 4 ER) of the season but overall has been very consistent holding opponents to two or fewer earned runs in eight of 12 games and enters the night with a 3.53 ERA/3.65 xFIP. What stands out the most is the matchup vs. the struggling D-backs who have lost 19 of their last 21 games while averaging just 3.1 runs per game and striking our 26% of the time. Lock and load in all formats on DraftKings and he makes a projected low-owned GPP pivot on FanDuel. Catcher/First Base Matt Olson FD - 1B 3900 DK - 1B 5200 Opponent - ARI (Jon Duplantier) Park - OAK FD - 12.38 DK - 9.18 The A's lead all teams in implied runs as of writing this and are easily my favorite team to target on this slate. Not only have they been red-hot lately(.362 wOBA/138 wRC+ last 7 days), they get an elite matchup vs. Jon Duplantier who has given up 11 hits and nine earned runs(4 HR) through his first two starts. For Olson, he comes into the night with a six-game hit streak that includes four multi-hit efforts, three doubles, and two home runs. He is having a...

Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Pitchers Corbin Burnes FD - P 11000 DK - RP 11000 Opponent - ARI (Caleb Smith) Park - MILFD - 43.43 DK - 23.85 Burnes has some of the best peripherals you’ll ever see for a starting pitcher and has been absolutely dominant when on the mound this season. In his 52 innings, he’s struck out a whopping 41% of the batters he’s face and walked only 3.5%. This is just ridiculous and has him at a 11.6:1 K:BB ratio. He’s rocking a minuscule 1.83 xFIP which is about as low as you’ll ever see. On Sunday, he opens as a -233 home favorite against the Arizona Diamondbacks who rank as a below-average offense on the season. Burnes is a very tough fade here considering the peripherals and win expectation, making him the best play on the slate. Dylan Cease FD - P 7600 DK - SP 9400 Opponent - DET (Jose Urena) Park - CHWFD - 37.49 DK - 19.79 Cease isn’t as good as Burnes but has put together a solid season so far especially in the strikeout department. He has an 11.2 K/9 rate which is a dramatic improvement over his first few seasons in the majors. He’s throwing his fastball a bit more this year than last and the results have been good. His one issue is the walk rate making the ability to go longer in games a problem. But he’s a -210 home favorite against the Tigers who rank 26th as a team in offense this year. Catcher/First Base Rhys Hoskins FD - 1B 3500 DK - 1B 4800 Opponent - WSH (Undecided) Park - PHIFD - 14.18 DK - 10.42 The Nationals haven’t decided who is going to pitch for them on Sunday and that’s usually a good sign for opposing hitters. Hoskins isn’t as patient this season with an 8% walk rate that’s about half of what he’s done in the past. But the power is there with 12 home runs through his first 232 plate appearances and a solid .850 OPS. He should be no lower than the cleanup spot for the Phillies depending on who they end up facing here. Carlos Santana FD - 1B 3000 DK - 1B 4100 Opponent - MIN (Undecided) Park - KCFD - 12.15 DK - 9.04 Like Hoskins and the Phillies, The Royals face an undecided pitcher on the Twins for Sunday. Santana is one...
