That means its time to build some bankroll and get some dough for the final few months. The pitching options on this slate are rather weak in my opinion but we have one guy who has a legitimate chance at a no-hitter. PitchersMax Scherzer FD - P 12500 DK - SP 12300 Opponent - DET (Jordan Zimmermann) Park - DETFD - 48.4 DK - 27.43Scherzer is that guy and this might end up being one of the best fantasy performances of the season. The simple fact is, this is the best pitcher in the Majors facing the worst offense. Let's start with Scherzer, as his 2.12 FIP and 34 percent K rate this season are simply absurd numbers. What's crazy about that is that those numbers really aren't far off of his hall-of-fame career averages. That paired with this matchup is simply a majestic combination, with the Motor City Kitties ranking 29th in K rate and dead-last both OBP and runs scored. That's why Scherzer enters this game as a -355 favorite, with the Tigers projected for only three runs.Blake Snell FD - P 8500 DK - SP 8000 Opponent - TEX (Jesse Chavez) Park - TBFD - 40.64 DK - 22.83While Snell's ERA is north of 5.00 right now, the peripherals tell us a different story. Not only does Snell have the best swinging strike rate in the Majors, he's also posting a 3.19 xFIP and 32 percent K rate. Those numbers tell us that he's much closer to the Cy Young pitcher that we saw last season than this 5.01 ERA guy. Facing Texas in a pitcher's park like Minute Maid Park is a good way to start a rebound, with the Rangers ranking 21st in OBP and 18th in OPS against left-handers. That's really no surprise with lefties like Joey Gallo, Shin-Soo Choo, Nomar Mazara and Rougned Odor filling their lineup. Madison Bumgarner is traditionally better at home and remains a bargain below $9,000 on both sites. Catcher/First BaseJoc Pederson FD - 1B 4000 DK - OF 8400 Opponent - COL (Chi Chi Gonzalez) Park - COLFD - 18.66 DK - 13.97The Dodgers are going to be a popular team on this slate and rightfully so. Not only are they regularly scoring double-digit runs in Coors Field, they're actually projected for more than six runs here. That's a ridiculous...

Pitchers Justin Verlander FD - P 11500 DK - SP 11500 Opponent - SEA (Yusei Kikuchi) Park - HOU FD - 45.97 DK - 26.63 Well it's a six game slate with a Coors game, so we're happy to get any aces we can find. And Verlander? He certainly qualifies. He's shaved a strikeout per 9 off last year's ridiculous rate, but his 11+ K/9 with a sub 2 BB/9 is really all you need here. Verlander's extreme fly-ball tendencies mean you're going to get some variance when you play him, but I don't think you can worry too much about that on such a small slate. The Mariners are a polarizing match-up as well, with a top ten wOBA against righties but a top ten strikeout rate as well. Verlander is by far the biggest favorite on the slate at -265, and is a great option for cash game or big tournaments. Zack Greinke FD - P 9500 DK - SP 9500 Opponent - SF (Drew Pomeranz) Park - SF FD - 35.26 DK - 18.73 The decision as to whom to write up second at pitcher tonight was a tough one, and a classic DFS decision: do we chase a big ceiling, or settle for a high floor? In Greinke we're doing the latter. With a sub 8 K/9, he doesn't look the part of an ace, but a career best 1.25 BB/9 almost makes up for it. The issue with running low strikeout pitchers is that you really need them to go deep into games, but the good news is that Greinke does just that. His 6.35 innings pitched per start this year are excellent, and facing the Giants in San Francisco should give him the opportunity to keep that trend going. Oracle Park is one of the best pitcher's parks in the majors, and the Giants have combined a league average strikeout rate with a dismal .290 wOBA that is good for the third worst in the Majors. If you don't feel like you need to chase upside, Greinke should be an excellent option. Brandon Woodruff FD - P 9100 DK - SP 8100 Opponent - PIT (Jordan Lyles) Park - MIL FD - 36.83 DK - 19.83 And here's your upside option. Woodruff has essentially replicated his success as a reliever last season in a starting role this year, trading a few ground balls for strikeouts and exactly matching...

Get started for free by clicking the button below.START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW!Here we are, back at it again. This could be one of those frustrating slates on which we have a great offense in Coors Field and that truly throws everything into a loop. It could be very tought to avoid the Los Angeles Dodgers and you'll see why in the article. That means getting the other games right will be critical and we'll do our best to get the correct Dodgers in there and mix it with some cheap options from other games. PitchersJose Berrios FD - P 10500 DK - SP 10800 Opponent - CHW (Undecided) Park - CHWFD - 33.03 DK - 17.11Berrios is probably the most reliable pitcher on this slate, as he’s pitched at least 5.2 innings in all but one start this season. That has allowed him to accrue at least 27 FanDuel points in all but two starts, which is quite the floor. What’s really intriguing about Berrios is his recent form though, with the Twins righty pitching to a 1.98 ERA and 0.98 WHIP over his last six starts. Facing the White Sox is simply the icing on the cake, with Chicago sitting 24th in K rate, 25th in runs scored and 23rd in wOBA. Mike Clevinger FD - P 9400 DK - SP 9600 Opponent - BAL (John Means) Park - BALFD - 36.71 DK - 19.72It would be hard to imagine recommending Clevinger after his last start but this guy has been an absolute stud aside from that. In his first two starts this season before hitting the IL, Clevinger pitched 12 scoreless innings while striking out 22 batters. That had to make one believe that he was taking the next step in his career, as his 3.02 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 2018 marked a career year. Those strikeout numbers are what’s really impressive and it definitely puts him in play against an offense like Baltimore. In fact, the Orioles currently rank 19th in K rate, 26th in wOBA, 27th in runs scored and last in xwOBA. That’s why he enters this matchup as a –190 favorite. Pitchers Early Aaron Nola FD - P 8700 DK - SP 10700 Opponent - NYM (Zack Wheeler) Park - PHI FD - 31.74 DK - 17.29 The pitching on the early slate is not great so I will turn to the most talented pitcher in Aaron Nola. He has struggled early this season with a 4.55 ERA but the good news is that he sits with a 3.84 xFIP and both his xwOBA(.324) and xSLG(.412) are lower than his wOBA and SLG. He has also sustained an above-average strikeout rate(25.6%) and while the matchup is neutral at best, Nola is my core pitcher in all formats considering the other options and the reasonable price tag. Main Stephen Strasburg FD - P 9800 DK - SP 11900 Opponent - MIA (Sandy Alcantara) Park - MIA FD - 41.5 DK - 22.73 We get just four games on the main slate but get two aces to choose from and one is the clear choice for cash games and he isn't playing in Coors Field. Both pitchers are early -175 favorites on the road but Strasburg gets the edge facing the Marlins in a game with the lowest total on the slate. That same Marlins has struggled to score runs all season(29th overall) and has been just as bad lately scoring just 45 over the last two weeks(3.2 per game). While they have been slightly worse against lefties in wOBA and wRC+, they have struck out close to 5% more against right-handed pitching. I will have exposure to Strasburg in all formats. Also Consider: Walker Buehler(LAD) as a contrarian GPP pivot going into Coors to face the Rockies Catcher/First Base Early Freddie Freeman FD - 1B 4200 DK - 1B 5400 Opponent - CHC (Tyler Chatwood) Park - CHC FD - 10.98 DK - 8.33 There is no line for this game at the moment but I would bet(lol) the Braves will be -140 to -160 road favorites and love the spot for their offense today. It starts at first base with one of the most consistent and productive players, not only at his position but in all of baseball. With his in 19 of 23 games in June, he entered last night with an elite .311/.398/.593 slash line with 21 home runs and 61 RBI. He now faces a pitcher in Tyler Chatwood who is getting another spot start and he has really struggled against lefties...

Pitchers Early Chris Sale FD - P 11500 DK - SP 11600 Opponent - CHW (Reynaldo Lopez) Park - BOS FD - 43.93 DK - 25.34 James Paxton FD - P 9300 DK - SP 9000 Opponent - TOR (Trent Thornton) Park - NYY FD - 38.06 DK - 21.16 The early slate is loaded at pitcher and these two lead the way in my rankings. Despite being the most expensive, I definitely prefer Sale today at least in cash games as he has been much more consistent with a 3.59 ERA and elite 2.99 xFIP(3rd overall behind Cole/Ryu). He also comes with a ton more upside as well striking out 10+ batters in nine of his 12 starts and sits with a crazy 35% K rate and 14.1% swinging strike rate on the season. He now faces a White Sox team that may be slightly better against lefties but are still slightly below league-average and strike out 24%. For Paxton, while his season seems a bit disappointing, is mirroring his 2018 numbers with the Mariners. He enters today with a 3.75 ERA/3.81 xFIP and is striking out 30.5% with a 14.2% swinging strike rate. The Jays young offense has been much better as of late which makes it a no-go in cash games but for GPP's, I love the upside as the projected lineup is striking out over 26% of the time against lefties this season. Also Consider: Trevor Bauer(CLE) as a GPP pivot Main Patrick Corbin FD - P 9800 DK - SP 10600 Opponent - MIA (Zac Gallen) Park - MIA FD - 36.03 DK - 19.44 It has been a roller coaster first season with the Nats as he has flashed top of the rotation stuff but has also been terrible at times. After a rough road trip where he went 0-3 allowing 16 earned runs, he returned home in his last start and was brilliant allowing just four hits and one earned run across seven innings while striking out eight. Overall, his numbers(3.90 ERA/3.97 xFIP) aren't where they were in Arizona but are still above average and while he goes back on the road, he gets one of the best matchups on the board. The Marlins don't strike out as much against lefties but have been one of the worst teams in baseball this season when looking at run production so I will be rostering Corbin as a big...

Get started for free by clicking the button below.START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW!We've had some fantastic baseball up to this point and we're miraculously approaching the halfway point of the season. Many people complain about how long the season is but it always flies by way much quicker than you realize. It's been a phenomenal season for our projection system too and we're going to look to build off of that momentum here. PitchersGerrit Cole FD - P 11500 DK - SP 11500 Opponent - PIT (Trevor Williams) Park - HOUFD - 43.45 DK - 24.41Many people will use Max Scherzer against the Marlins but we're going to pivot and save a little money with Cole. The simple fact is, this guy is arguably the best strikeout pitcher in the league right now. That's evident by the fact that he leads the Majors with a 39 percent K rate and 148 Ks in total. That's backed up by an xFIP in the 2.50 range, which simply tells you this is one of the best pitchers around. Facing Pittsburgh is nothing we need to worry about either, with the Pirates ranking 20th in runs scored, 21st in wOBA and 24th in xSLG. That's why Cole enters this game as a -270 favorite. Madison Bumgarner FD - P 8300 DK - SP 8200 Opponent - COL (Undecided) Park - SFFD - 34.66 DK - 18.45Bumgarner isn't the same guy that we've become accustomed to in his hall-of-fame career but he's still too good to be priced in the $8,000 range. What we like about him here is that he gets to pitch at home, with Oracle Park ranking as one of the best pitching parks in the Majors. That's crystal clear when you see Bumgarner's 2.77 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 9.1 K/9 rate at home throughout his career. The Rockies are traditionally terrible on the road too, ranking last in road OPS so far this season after hitting 28th in that statistic last year. Strongly consider Shane Bieber (FD $9800 DK $10800)against the Royals. Catcher/First BaseCarlos Santana FD - 1B 4000 DK - 1B 5300 Opponent - KC (Glenn Sparkman) Park - CLEFD - 13.17 DK - 9.82Not many people are giving Santana the credit he deserves, as he's consistently been one of the best hitters in the AL over the past decade. That's evident by his .366 career OBP and .813 OPS. Those are big numbers in themselves but he's actually in the midst of one of his best seasons ever. In...
